Abstract
Description
Communication method, device and system
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on June 16, 2023, with application number 202310725995.7 and invention name “A side link transmission method and device”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application.
[0002] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on August 7, 2023, with application number 202310986948.8 and invention name “Communication Method, Device and System”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0003] The present application relates to the field of communications, and in particular to a communication method, device, and system. Background Art
[0004] In sidelink (SL) communications, different types of user equipment (UE) may exist, such as reduced capability UEs (RedCap UEs) and regular UEs with relatively high capabilities. Regular UEs may also be referred to as normal UEs or non-RedCap UEs. In current SL communications, both the source identity (ID) and destination ID are carried in the second-order sidelink control information (SCI), also known as SCI2. The receiving UE must decode SCI2 before determining whether to decode data in the physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). When a RedCap UE and a regular UE use the same physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) format, the RedCap UE must decode SCI2 even when the transmitting UE is sending data to the regular UE, resulting in unnecessary power consumption for PSSCH channel estimation and SCI2 decoding.
[0005] Summary of the Invention
[0006] The present application provides a communication method, apparatus, and system that can reduce device power consumption.
[0007] In a first aspect, a communication method is provided, which can be executed by a terminal device, or by a chip or circuit used in the terminal device, which is not limited in this application. For ease of description, the following description is based on an example of execution by a first device.
[0008] The method includes: a first device receives first sidelink control information, the first sidelink control information is used to schedule a first sidelink signal, the first sidelink control information includes first indication information, the first indication information includes a first field and a second field, when the first field takes a first value, the second field is used to indicate the type of a receiving device corresponding to the first sidelink signal, wherein the type of the receiving device includes a first type and a second type, and there is an overlapping part between the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device, wherein the bandwidth supported by the first type of device is smaller than the bandwidth supported by the second type of device; the first device determines whether to detect the first sidelink signal based on the first indication information.
[0009] The first sidelink signal may be one or more of the second-order SCI, data, a reference signal or feedback information.
[0010] The first device is a receiving device.
[0011] In this method, the first indication information (or the second field in the first indication information) can indicate the type of the receiving device. The first device determines whether to detect the first side signal based on the type of the receiving device indicated by the first indication information and the type of the first device. If the first device determines that the type of the first device is different from the type of the receiving device indicated by the first indication information, the first device may not detect the first side signal, thereby avoiding unnecessary detection that may exist when different types of devices coexist, and can reduce the power consumption of the receiving device.
[0012] In some implementations, there is an overlap between the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device, including: the first type of device is configured with a first time-frequency resource set, the second type of device is configured with a second time-frequency resource set, the resources in the first time-frequency resource set and the second time-frequency resource set overlap, and the bandwidth of the first time-frequency resource set is smaller than the bandwidth of the second time-frequency resource set, the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device is the first time-frequency resource set, and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device is the second time-frequency resource set; or, the first type of device and the second type of device are configured with a first time-frequency resource set, the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device is part of the resources in the first time-frequency resource set, and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device is the first time-frequency resource set.
[0013] In other words, the first type of device is configured with a first time-frequency resource set, the second type of device is configured with a second time-frequency resource set, the resources in the first time-frequency resource set and the second time-frequency resource set overlap, and the bandwidth of the first time-frequency resource set is smaller than the bandwidth of the second time-frequency resource set; or, the first type of device and the second type of device are configured with a first time-frequency resource set, and some resources in the first time-frequency resource set can be used by the first type of device.
[0014] In certain implementations, the receiving device corresponding to the first sidelink signal includes one or more devices, and the second field is used to indicate the type of the one or more devices.
[0015] In some implementations, when the second field takes a third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the first type; and when the second field takes a fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the second type.
[0016] The first device determining whether to detect the first sideways signal according to the first indication information includes:
[0017] When the first device is a device of the first type, if the value of the second field is the third value, the first device determines to detect the first side signal; if the value of the second field is the fourth value, the first device determines not to detect the first side signal.
[0018] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the second field is the third value, the first device determines not to detect the first sidelink signal; if the value of the second field is the fourth value, the first device determines to detect the first sidelink signal;
[0019] or,
[0020] When the value of the second field is the third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the first type; when the value of the second field is the fourth value, the second field indicates that at least one of the one or more devices is a device of the second type.
[0021] The first device determining whether to detect the first sideways signal according to the first indication information includes:
[0022] When the first device is a device of the first type, if the value of the second field is the third value or the fourth value, the first device determines to detect the first sidelink signal.
[0023] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the second field is the third value, the first device determines not to detect the first sidelink signal; if the value of the second field is the fourth value, the first device determines to detect the first sidelink signal;
[0024] or,
[0025] When the value of the second field is the third value, the second field indicates that at least one of the one or more devices belongs to the first type of device; when the value of the second field is the fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices all belong to the second type of device.
[0026] The first device determining whether to detect the first sideways signal according to the first indication information includes:
[0027] When the first device is a device of the first type, if the value of the second field is the third value, the first device determines to detect the first side signal; if the value of the second field is the fourth value, the first device determines not to detect the first side signal.
[0028] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the second field is the third value or the fourth value, the first device determines to detect the first sidelink signal;
[0029] or,
[0030] When the second field takes a third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the first type; when the second field takes a fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the second type; when the second field takes a fifth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices include devices of the first type and devices of the second type.
[0031] The first device determining whether to detect the first sideways signal according to the first indication information includes:
[0032] When the first device is a device of the first type, if the value of the second field is the third value or the fifth value, the first device determines to detect the first side signal; if the value of the second field is the fourth value, the first device determines not to detect the first side signal.
[0033] When the first device is the second type of device, if the second field takes the third value, the first device determines not to detect the first side signal; if the second field takes the fourth value or the fifth value, the first device determines to detect the first side signal.
[0034] In some implementations, when the value of the first field is the second value, the first device determines to detect the first sidelink signal.
[0035] In this method, when the first field takes the first value, the second field indicates the type of the receiving device, that is, the first device can determine the type of device to which the first sideline signal is sent based on the second field. The first device determines whether to detect the first sideline signal based on the type of the receiving device indicated by the second field and the type of the first device. If the first device determines that the type of the first device is different from the type of the receiving device indicated by the second field, the first device may not detect the first sideline signal, thereby avoiding unnecessary detection that may occur when different types of devices coexist, and reducing the power consumption of the receiving device. When the first field takes the second value, the second field does not indicate the type of the receiving device, that is, the first device cannot determine whether the first sideline signal is sent to the first device based on the second field. In order to avoid missed detection, the first device detects the first sideline signal.
[0036] The first device in this application is a terminal device, and may also be a component or device (such as a processor, chip, or chip system) applied to the terminal device, or a logic module or software that can realize all or part of the functions of the terminal device. The second device is a terminal device, and may also be a component or device (such as a processor, chip, or chip system) applied to the terminal device, or a logic module or software that can realize all or part of the functions of the terminal device.
[0037] In a second aspect, a communication method is provided. The method may be executed by a terminal device, or may be executed by a chip or circuit for the terminal device, which is not limited in this application. For ease of description, the following description is based on an example of execution by a second device.

[0039] In some implementations, there is an overlap between the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device, including: the first type of device is configured with a first time-frequency resource set, the second type of device is configured with a second time-frequency resource set, the resources in the first time-frequency resource set and the second time-frequency resource set overlap, and the bandwidth of the first time-frequency resource set is smaller than the bandwidth of the second time-frequency resource set, the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device is the first time-frequency resource set, and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device is the second time-frequency resource set; or, the first type of device and the second type of device are configured with a first time-frequency resource set, the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device is part of the resources in the first time-frequency resource set, and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device is the first time-frequency resource set.
[0040] In other words, the first type of device is configured with a first time-frequency resource set, the second type of device is configured with a second time-frequency resource set, the resources in the first time-frequency resource set and the second time-frequency resource set overlap, and the bandwidth of the first time-frequency resource set is smaller than the bandwidth of the second time-frequency resource set; or, the first type of device and the second type of device are configured with a first time-frequency resource set, and some resources in the first time-frequency resource set can be used by the first type of device.
[0041] In certain implementations, the receiving device corresponding to the first sidelink signal includes one or more devices, and the second field is used to indicate the type of the one or more devices.
[0042] In some implementations, when the second field takes a third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the first type; and when the second field takes a fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the second type; or
[0043] When the value of the second field is the third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the first type; when the value of the second field is the fourth value, the second field indicates that at least one of the one or more devices is a device of the second type; or
[0044] When the value of the second field is the third value, the second field indicates that at least one of the one or more devices belongs to the first type of device; when the value of the second field is the fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices all belong to the second type of device; or

[0046] In a third aspect, a communication method is provided. The method may be executed by a terminal device, or may be executed by a chip or circuit for the terminal device, which is not limited in this application. [0048] In this method, the first device determines whether the first side control information includes identification information based on the first indication information. When the first indication information indicates that the first side control information includes identification information corresponding to the first side signal, the first device determines whether to detect the first side signal based on the identification information corresponding to the first side signal. If the identification information corresponding to the first side signal is the same as all or part of the fields of the identification information corresponding to the first device, the first device detects the first side signal. Otherwise, there is no need to detect the first side signal, which avoids the problem that the first device needs to always detect the first side signal and can reduce the power consumption of the first device.

[0052] In some implementations, the first indication information indicates that the first sidelink control information includes identification information corresponding to the first sidelink signal, and the number of bits of the identification information corresponding to the first sidelink signal is determined based on the bandwidth size of the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device and the bandwidth size of the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device.
[0053] In some implementations, the number of bits B of the identification information corresponding to the first sidelink signal satisfies the following relationship:

[0057] In some implementations, the identification information corresponding to the first side signal includes at least one of the following: all or part of the bits of the source identification corresponding to the first side signal, all or part of the bits of the destination identification corresponding to the first side signal, all or part of the bits of the sending device identification corresponding to the first side signal, or all or part of the bits of the receiving device identification corresponding to the first side signal.

The core network device and the radio access network device may be independent, distinct physical devices, or the core network device's functions and the radio access network device's logical functions may be integrated into the same physical device, or a single physical device may integrate some of the core network device's functions and some of the radio access network device's functions. Terminals and radio access network devices may be interconnected via wired or wireless connections. Figure 1 is merely a schematic diagram. The communication system may also include other network devices, such as wireless relay devices and wireless backhaul devices, which are not shown in Figure 1 .
[0097] A radio access network device can be a base station, an evolved NodeB (eNodeB), a transmission reception point (TRP), a next-generation NodeB (gNB) in a fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication system, a next-generation base station in a sixth-generation (6G) mobile communication system, a base station in a future mobile communication system, or an access node in a Wi-Fi system. It can also be a module or unit that performs some of the functions of a base station, such as a centralized unit (CU) or a distributed unit (DU). The CU performs the functions of the base station's radio resource control protocol and packet data convergence protocol (PDCP), as well as the service data adaptation protocol (SDAP). The DU performs the functions of the base station's radio link control layer and medium access control (MAC) layer, as well as some or all of the physical layer. For detailed descriptions of each of these protocol layers, please refer to the relevant technical specifications of the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). The wireless access network device can be a macro base station (such as 110a in Figure 1), a micro base station or an indoor station (such as 110b in Figure 1), a relay node, a donor node, etc. The embodiments of this application do not limit the specific technology and device form used by the wireless access network device. For ease of description, the following description uses a base station as an example of a wireless access network device.
[0098] A terminal device can be a device that provides voice / data to a user, such as a handheld device or vehicle-mounted device with wireless connection capabilities. A terminal device may include user equipment, sometimes also referred to as a terminal, access station, UE station, remote station, wireless communication device, or user equipment.
[0099] For example, the terminal device can be a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a computer with wireless transceiver function, a virtual reality (VR) terminal, an augmented reality (AR) terminal, a wireless terminal in industrial control, a whole vehicle, a wireless communication module in the whole vehicle, a telematics box (T-Box), a road side unit (RSU), a wireless terminal in unmanned driving, a wireless terminal device in the Internet of Things (IoT), a wireless terminal device in telemedicine, a wireless terminal device in a smart grid, a wireless terminal device in transportation safety, a wireless terminal device in a smart city, or a wireless terminal device in a smart home, etc., and the embodiments of the present application are not limited to this.
[0100] As an example and not a limitation, in the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may also be a wearable device. Wearable devices may also be called wearable smart devices, which are a general term for wearable devices that are intelligently designed and developed using wearable technology for daily wear, such as glasses, gloves, watches, clothing, and shoes. A wearable device is a portable device that is worn directly on the body or integrated into the user's clothes or accessories. Wearable devices are not only hardware devices, but can also achieve powerful functions through software support, data interaction, and cloud interaction. Broadly speaking, wearable smart devices include devices that are fully functional, large in size, and can achieve full or partial functions without relying on smartphones, such as smart watches or smart glasses, as well as devices that only focus on a certain type of application function and need to be used in conjunction with other devices such as smartphones, such as various smart bracelets and smart jewelry for measuring vital signs.
[0101] Terminal devices can also be V2X devices, such as smart cars (or intelligent cars), digital cars, unmanned cars (or driverless cars, or pilotless cars, or automobiles), self-driving cars (or autonomous cars), pure electric vehicles (or battery EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), new energy vehicles (new energy vehicles), and roadside units (RSUs). Terminal devices can also be devices used in device-to-device (D2D) communications, such as electricity meters and water meters.
[0102] In addition, in the embodiments of the present application, the terminal device can also be a terminal device in an IoT system. IoT is an important part of the future development of information technology. Its main technical feature is to connect objects to the network through communication technology, thereby realizing an intelligent network of human-machine interconnection and object-to-object interconnection.
[0103] The various terminal devices described above, if located on a vehicle (e.g., placed in or installed in a vehicle), can be considered as vehicle-mounted terminal devices, which are also referred to as on-board units (OBUs). The terminal device of the present application can also be an on-board module, on-board module, on-board component, on-board chip, or on-board unit built into a vehicle as one or more components or units, and the vehicle can implement the method of the present application through the built-in on-board module, on-board module, on-board component, on-board chip, or on-board unit.
[0104] Base stations and terminals can be fixed or mobile. They can be deployed on land, indoors or outdoors, handheld or vehicle-mounted; on water; or on aircraft, balloons, and satellites. The embodiments of this application do not limit the application scenarios of base stations and terminals.
[0105] The roles of base stations and terminals can be relative. For example, the helicopter or drone 120i in Figure 1 can be configured as a mobile base station. To terminals 120j accessing the wireless access network 100 via 120i, terminal 120i is a base station. However, to base station 110a, 120i is a terminal, meaning that communication between 110a and 120i occurs via a wireless air interface protocol. Of course, communication between 110a and 120i can also occur via a base station-to-base station interface protocol. In this case, 120i is also a base station relative to 110a. Therefore, base stations and terminals can be collectively referred to as communication devices. 110a and 110b in Figure 1 can be referred to as communication devices with base station functionality, while 120a-120j in Figure 1 can be referred to as communication devices with terminal functionality.
[0106] Communication between base stations and terminals, between base stations, and between terminals can be carried out through authorized spectrum, unauthorized spectrum, or both; communication can be carried out through spectrum below 6 gigahertz (GHz), spectrum above 6 GHz, or spectrum below 6 GHz and spectrum above 6 GHz. The embodiments of the present application do not limit the spectrum resources used for wireless communication.
[0107] In the embodiments of the present application, the functions of the base station may also be performed by a module (such as a chip) in the base station, or by a control subsystem that includes the base station functions. The control subsystem that includes the base station functions here may be a control center in the above-mentioned application scenarios such as smart grid, industrial control, smart transportation, and smart city. The functions of the terminal may also be performed by a module (such as a chip or modem) in the terminal, or by a device that includes the terminal functions.
[0108] The technical solutions provided in the embodiments of this application can be applied to wireless communications between communication devices. Wireless communications between communication devices may include: wireless communications between network devices and terminals, wireless communications between network devices, and wireless communications between terminal devices. In the embodiments of this application, the term "wireless communications" may also be referred to as "communication," which may also be described as "data transmission," "information transmission," or "transmission."
[0109] It can be understood that in the embodiments of the present application, the physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) and the physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) are merely examples of data channels and control channels, respectively. In different systems and different scenarios, the data channel and the control channel may have different names, and the embodiments of the present application do not limit this.
[0110] In order to facilitate understanding of the solutions of the embodiments of the present application, the relevant concepts are explained.
[0111] The communication devices in this application can be divided into a first type of device and a second type of device. The first type of device is, for example, a low-complexity UE (reduced capability UE, RedCap UE), and the second type of device can be a Regular UE (or normal UE, non-RedCap UE, etc.), such as an enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) UE.
[0112] The first type of device and the second type of device have different characteristics, including one or more of the following:
[0113] Bandwidth, number of supported or configured resources, number of transmit antenna ports and / or receive antenna ports, number of RF channels, number of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes, supported peak rate, application scenarios, latency requirements, processing capability, protocol version, duplex mode, services, etc. The first feature is described in detail below.
[0114] Bandwidth, or channel bandwidth, or the maximum channel bandwidth supported or configured by the terminal device, may be different between the first type of device and the second type of device. For example, the bandwidth of the first type of device may be 20 MHz, 10 MHz, or 5 MHz, while the bandwidth of the second type of device may be 100 MHz. It is understood that with the advancement of communication technology, the maximum bandwidth supported by the first type of device may no longer be 20 MHz, 10 MHz, or 5 MHz, but may evolve to a wider or narrower bandwidth, such as 3 MHz, 25 MHz, or 50 MHz.
[0115] The number of resources supported or configured, where the number of resources may be a resource block (RB), a resource element (RE), a subcarrier, an RB group, a resource element group bundle (REG bundle), a control channel element, a subframe, a radio frame, a time slot, a mini-time slot and / or the number of symbols, the first type of device and the second type of device support or configure a different number of resources, for example: the first type of device supports 48 RBs, and the second type of device supports 96 RBs.
[0116] The number of transmitting antenna ports and / or the number of receiving antenna ports, that is, the number of transmitting antenna ports and / or the number of receiving antenna ports of the first type of device is different from that of the second type of device. For example, the number of transmitting antenna ports of the first type of device may be 1, and the number of receiving antenna ports may be 2.
[0117] The second type of device may have two transmit antenna ports and four receive antenna ports.
[0118] The number of RF channels, that is, the number of RF channels of the first type of device is different from that of the second type of device. For example, the number of RF channels of the first type of device may be 1, and the number of RF channels of the second type of device may be 2.
[0119] The number of HARQ processes, that is, the number of HARQ processes supported by the first type of device is different from that of the second type of device. For example, the number of HARQ processes supported by the first type of device may be 8, and the number of HARQ processes supported by the second type of device may be 16.
[0120] The supported peak rate, that is, the maximum peak rate of the first type of device and the second type of device is different. For example, the maximum peak rate supported by the first type of device may be 100 Mbps, and the peak rate supported by the second type of device may be 200 Mbps.
[0121] Application scenarios, that is, the first type of devices and the second type of devices serve different application scenarios. For example, the first type of devices are used in industrial wireless sensing, video surveillance, wearable devices, etc., and the second type of devices are used in mobile communications, video surfing, etc.
[0122] Delay requirements, that is, the first type of device and the second type of device have different requirements for transmission delay. For example, the delay requirement of the first type of device may be 500 milliseconds, and the delay requirement of the second type of device may be 100 milliseconds.
[0123] Processing capability, that is, the first type of device and the second type of device have different processing timing and processing speed for channels or data under different subcarrier space (SCS) conditions. For example, the first type of device does not support complex operations, and the complex operations may include artificial intelligence (AI) and VR rendering. The second type of device supports complex operations, or it can be understood that the processing capability of the first type of device is lower than that of the second type of device.
[0124] Protocol version, that is, the first type of device and the second type of device are terminal devices of different protocol versions. For example, the protocol version supported by the first type of device is Release 17 and later versions, and the protocol version supported by the second type of device is earlier than Release 17, such as Release 15 or Release 16.
[0125] Duplex mode, the duplex mode includes half-duplex and full-duplex, for example: the first type of device operates in half-duplex mode, and the second type of device operates in full-duplex mode.
[0126] Services include, but are not limited to, IoT applications, such as video surveillance and mobile broadband (MBB). For example, a first type of device supports video surveillance, and a second type of device supports mobile broadband (MBB). This embodiment of the present application does not limit this.
[0127] It should be understood that other types or future new types of terminal devices that also support the technical solution of this application are also within the scope of protection of this application.
[0128] The first device in this application may be an example of a first type of device or a second type of device, and the second device may be an example of a first type of device or a second type of device. The first device in this application is a terminal device, or it may be a component applied to the terminal device (such as a processor, chip, or chip system, etc.), or it may be a logic module or software that can realize all or part of the functions of the terminal device. The second device in this application is a terminal device, or it may be a component applied to the terminal device (such as a processor, chip, or chip system, etc.), or it may be a logic module or software that can realize all or part of the functions of the terminal device.
[0129] When the terminal device is used as a receiving device, the above device type may also be referred to as the type of receiving device. Alternatively, the first type of device may also be referred to as a first type receiving device or a first type receiving device, etc. The name of the second type receiving device is similar and will not be repeated here.
[0130] Unlike downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) communications in cellular networks, sidelink (SL) communications support direct communication between user equipment (UE). This means that user data is transmitted directly between UEs, eliminating the need for network transit in cellular communications and reducing transmission latency.
[0131] In SL communications, different types of UEs may exist. For example, mobile phones and other terminal devices have relatively strong capabilities, while wearable devices such as watches and headphones are more sensitive to cost and power consumption and have relatively weak capabilities, namely RedCap UEs. UEs with relatively strong capabilities can be called regular UEs, normal UEs, or non-RedCap UEs. The following description uses regular UEs as an example. The maximum bandwidth supported by a RedCap UE is generally smaller than the maximum bandwidth supported by a regular UE.
[0132] In SL communication, SL control information (SCI) can be divided into first-order SCI (SCI1) and second-order SCI (SCI2). The sending UE can carry "frequency resource allocation" indication information in SCI1. The number of bits of this field is related to the resource pool bandwidth size.
[0133] When the bandwidth of the RedCap UE resource pool and the Regular UE resource pool are different but overlap, if the RedCap UE and the Regular UE determine the number of bits of this field based on the bandwidth of their respective resource pools, the physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) formats of the RedCap UE and the Regular UE will be different, which may cause different types of UEs to be unable to correctly decode each other's PSCCH, or different types of UEs need to blindly detect different PSCCH formats. To avoid the above problems, the RedCap UE and the Regular UE can use the same number of SCI1 bits. For example, the RedCap UE determines the number of bits of the "frequency resource allocation" indication information based on the bandwidth of the Regular UE resource pool.
[0134] For example, the resource pool structure can be divided into a structure based on contiguous resource blocks (RBs) and a structure based on interlaced RBs. As shown in Figure 2 (a), in the structure based on contiguous RBs, the resource pool includes one or more subchannels, each of which includes one or more contiguous physical resource blocks (PRBs). As shown in Figure 2 (b), in the structure based on interlaced RBs, the resource pool includes one or more RB sets, each of which includes one or more subchannels, each of which consists of one or more interlaces, and an interlace includes multiple non-contiguous PRBs.
[0135] The sending UE carries the "frequency resource allocation" indication information in SCI1. The number of bits of this field is related to the size of the resource pool bandwidth.
[0136] In a time-frequency resource structure based on continuous RBs, the frequency resource indicator value (FRIV) can be used to indicate the starting subchannel index and number of subchannels of one or more time slot reserved resources. The number of bits and value of the FRIV field are determined according to the following rules:
[0137] 1) When the resource pool (pre)configuration reserves a maximum of 2 resources, The number of bits in this field is
[0138] 2) When the resource pool (pre)configuration reserves up to 3 resources, The number of bits in this field is
[0139] Among them, L subCH is the number of consecutive sub-channels corresponding to each reserved resource, is the starting subchannel index of the second reserved resource, is the starting subchannel index of the third reserved resource, The number of sub-channels included in the resource pool. To round up, the result is the smallest integer greater than or equal to Y.
[0140] In the structure based on staggered RB, FRIV can be used to indicate the starting RB set index and the number of RB sets for one or more time slot reserved resources. The specific indication method can refer to the above sub-channel indication method. Replaced with the number of RB sets included in the resource pool.
[0141] It can be seen that no matter which resource pool structure is used, the number of bits of SCI1 is related to the bandwidth size of the resource pool.
[0142] In addition, in SL communication, the transmitting UE sends data via the physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH), and the SCI carries control information for decoding the data in the PSSCH. SCI can be sent via the PSCCH, or SCI can be divided into first-order SCI (SCI1) and second-order SCI (SCI2), where SCI1 is sent via the PSCCH and SCI2 is sent via the PSSCH. SCI1 carries information related to resource indication, and SCI2 carries the source identity (ID) and destination ID. The receiving UE first detects the PSCCH, determines the resource location of the PSSCH based on the indication information in SCI1, and then decodes (also called detects) SCI2 in the PSSCH. Based on the ID information indicated in SCI2, it determines whether the data in the PSSCH needs to be decoded. When a RedCap UE and a Regular UE use the same PSCCH format, even if the transmitting UE sends data to a Regular UE, the RedCap UE needs to decode SCI2; or even if the transmitting UE sends data to a RedCap UE, the Regular UE needs to decode SCI2. This results in unnecessary power consumption for PSSCH channel estimation and SCI2 decoding.
[0143] The following description takes the division of SCI into SCI1 and SCI2 as an example.
[0144] It should be noted that in the embodiments of the present application, (pre) configuration can be understood as configuration or pre-configuration. Among them, configuration refers to configuration by the network device, such as the network device configuring the resource pool information. Pre-configuration means that the communication system is pre-defined (such as the communication system pre-defines the resource pool information), or the communication protocol is pre-defined (such as the communication protocol pre-defines the resource pool information), or the terminal device is pre-configured when it leaves the factory (such as the terminal device pre-configures the resource pool information when it leaves the factory), or configured by the high-level signaling of the terminal device (such as radio resource control (RRC) signaling).
[0145] In view of this, the present application proposes a communication method, which indicates the type of the receiving end (or receiving device) so that the receiving end can determine whether to decode, thereby avoiding unnecessary PSSCH channel estimation and SCI2 decoding, thereby reducing the power consumption of the receiving end.
[0146] The method may include the following steps:
[0147] 310. The second device sends first sideline control information to the first device. Correspondingly, the first device receives the first sideline control information.
[0148] The first sidelink control information is used to schedule the first sidelink signal. Scheduling the first sidelink signal can be understood as scheduling the time-frequency resources of the first sidelink signal, indicating the time-frequency resources of the first sidelink signal, or indicating information required for detecting or decoding the first sidelink signal (e.g., coding modulation mode, reference signal type, etc.).
[0149] In a possible implementation, the first sidelink control information is first-order sidelink control information SCI1. The first sidelink control information is carried on a physical sidelink control channel PSCCH.
[0150] Exemplarily, the PSCCH is associated with PSSCH, and the PSSCH carries a first sideline signal, for example, the first sideline signal is SCI2 and / or data. The so-called PSCCH is associated with PSSCH, which can be understood as PSCCH (or the control information carried by PSCCH) carrying information for receiving, detecting or decoding PSSCH (or the signal carried by PSSCH), such as time-frequency resource information, coding modulation method, etc. In other words, PSCCH schedules the PSSCH. Optionally, the number of bits of control information carried by the PSCCH sent by the first type of device is the same as the number of bits of control information carried by the PSCCH sent by the second type of device.
[0151] In the following description, the indication information A is taken as an example of the first indication information, and the signal S is taken as an example of the first side signal.
[0152] The first sideline control information includes indication information A.
[0153] The indication information A can be in the following two indication modes:
[0154] Mode 1: The indication information A indicates the type of receiving device corresponding to the signal S.
[0155] The type of the receiving device corresponding to the signal S is the first type or the second type.
[0156] Specifically, the first type of device can refer to the description of the first type of device above, and the second type of device can refer to the description of the second type of device above. For example, the bandwidth supported by the first type of device is smaller than the bandwidth supported by the second type of device.
[0157] There is an overlapping part between the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device, wherein the time-frequency resource set of the device (or called the time-frequency resource set corresponding to the device, the time-frequency resource set associated with the device, the time-frequency resource set of the device working, etc.) can be understood as the time-frequency resource set used by the device to send and / or receive information, for example, it can be an SL resource pool, RB set, part of the bandwidth (bandwidth part, BWP), or carrier, etc.
[0158] For example, the first type of device is configured with a first time-frequency resource set (it can also be understood that the (pre) configuration information of the first type of device includes information about the first time-frequency resource set), and the second type of device is configured with a second time-frequency resource set (it can also be understood that the (pre) configuration information of the second type of device includes information about the second time-frequency resource set). There is overlap in resources between the first time-frequency resource set and the second time-frequency resource set, and the bandwidth of the first time-frequency resource set is smaller than the bandwidth of the second time-frequency resource set. Among them, being configured can also be understood as being (pre) configured. For example, the first type of device sends and / or receives information on time-frequency resource set A (for example, resource pool A), and the second type of device sends and / or receives information on time-frequency resource set B (for example, resource pool B).
[0159] There is an overlap between time-frequency resource set A and time-frequency resource set B. It can be that: the time domain resources of time-frequency resource set A overlap with the time domain resources of time-frequency resource set B, or the frequency domain resources of time-frequency resource set A overlap with the frequency domain resources of time-frequency resource set B, or the time-frequency resource set A overlaps with the time-frequency resource set B in both the time domain and the frequency domain.
[0160] In another example, the first type of device and the second type of device are configured with a first time-frequency resource set (it can also be understood that the (pre) configuration information of the first type of device and the second type of device includes information of the first time-frequency resource set), and some resources in the first time-frequency resource set can be used by the first type of device. That is, the time-frequency resource set corresponding to the first type of device is a subset of the time-frequency resource set corresponding to the second type of device. For example, the first time-frequency resource set is resource pool C, and resource pool C includes 4 RB sets, namely RB set0, RB set1, RB set2, and RB set3. The first type of device can send and / or receive information on RB set0, and the first type of device can send and / or receive information on RB set0, RB set1, RB set2, and RB set3.
[0161] It should be understood that the description of the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device and the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device here is also applicable to the following, such as mode 2. No further details will be given below.
[0162] The receiving device corresponding to the signal S can be understood as the destination of the signal S, or the destination device of the signal S. The first device may be the receiving device corresponding to the signal S, or may not be.
[0163] The signal S comes from the second device. The signal S can be a second-order SCI, data, a reference signal, or feedback information, among which the reference signal can be a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), a positioning reference signal (PRS), a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), etc. The feedback information can be HARQ feedback, channel state information (CSI) feedback, etc.
[0164] In a possible implementation, the signal S is carried on a PSSCH. In other words, the second device sends a PSSCH including the signal S to the first device.
[0165] Optionally, the indication information A is carried (or referred to as including, bearing, etc.) in the control information associated with the signal S (such as SCI1). The control information associated with the signal S can be understood as the control information scheduling the signal S or the data channel carrying S, or the control information indicating the time-frequency resources of the signal S, or the control information includes information indicating the time-frequency resources corresponding to the signal S, or the control information includes information for detecting or decoding the signal S.
[0166] The control information associated with the signal S may be SCI1, that is, the indication information A is carried in SCI1.
[0167] The control information is carried in the control channel. In a possible implementation, SCI1 is carried in the PSCCH.
[0168] That is, SCI1 is carried on PSCCH#A, PSCCH#A is associated with PSSCH#A, and signal S is carried on the PSSCH#A.
[0169] The receiving device corresponding to the signal S may include one or more devices, and the indication information A may be used to indicate the type of the one or more devices.
[0170] The indication information A may indicate the type of one or more devices through one field, or may indicate the type of one or more devices through multiple fields. The following is divided into Example 1 and Example 2 for explanation.
[0171] Example 1: The indication information A includes a first field, where the first field is used to indicate the type of one or more devices.
[0172] When the first field value is value A, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the first field value is value B, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices are devices of the second type; or
[0173] When the first field value is A, the indication information A indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the first type; when the first field value is B, the indication information A indicates that at least one of the one or more devices is a device of the second type; or
[0174] When the first field value is A, the indication information A indicates that at least one of the one or more devices belongs to the first type of device; when the first field value is B, the indication information A indicates that the one or more devices all belong to the second type of device; or
[0175] When the value of the first field is value A, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the value of the first field is value B, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices are devices of the second type; when the value of the first field is value C, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices include devices of the first type and devices of the second type.
[0176] The following describes the indication method in detail using an example where a UE is used as a communication subject. For example, the first device is called a receiving UE, and the second device is called a sending UE.
[0177] Case 1: The UEs participating in the communication include first type devices and / or second type devices. The sending UE uses 1 bit in SCI1 to indicate the type of the receiving UE, that is, the first field occupies 1 bit, for example, the first field occupies 1 reserved bit in SCI1.
[0178] The correspondence between the bit value and the meaning represented by the value can be predefined or preconfigured, such as stored in the first device and the second device in a table format. The correspondence can also be configured, such as the first device sending to the second device, or the second device sending to the first device.
[0179] For example, in unicast communication, a sending UE and a receiving UE communicate one-to-one.
[0180] When the receiving UE is a Regular UE (i.e., a device of the second type), the transmitting UE may indicate "0" in SCI1, and when the receiving UE is a RedCap UE (i.e., a device of the first type), the transmitting UE may indicate "1" in SCI1. Alternatively, when the receiving UE is a Regular UE, the transmitting UE may indicate "1" in SCI1, and when the receiving UE is a RedCap UE, the transmitting UE may indicate "0" in SCI1.
[0181] As another example, in multicast or broadcast communication, a sending UE and a receiving UE perform one-to-many communication.
[0182] In a possible implementation, “0” indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, and “1” indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs.
[0183] In yet another possible implementation, “0” indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, and “1” indicates that at least one receiving UE is a RedCap UE.
[0184] In yet another possible implementation, “0” indicates that at least one receiving UE is a Regular UE, and “1” indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs.
[0185] In yet another possible implementation, “0” indicates that at least one receiving UE is a Regular UE, and “1” indicates that at least one receiving UE is a RedCap UE.
[0186] If the target receiving UEs of a multicast or broadcast service include both Regular UEs and RedCap UEs, the transmitting UE can send two PSSCHs, indicating "0" and "1" in the corresponding SCI1 respectively. "0" indicates that the receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "1" indicates that the receiving UE is a RedCap UE. Alternatively, "0" indicates that the receiving UE is a RedCap UE, and "1" indicates that the receiving UE is a Regular UE.
[0187] Case 2: The UEs participating in the communication include first type devices and / or second type devices. The sending UE uses 2 bits in SCI1 to indicate the type of the receiving UE, that is, the first field occupies 2 bits, for example, the first field occupies 2 reserved bits in SCI1.
[0188] For example, in a unicast, multicast or broadcast scenario, "00" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, "01" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs, and "10" indicates that the receiving UEs include both Regular UEs and RedCap UEs.
[0189] Example 2: Indication information A includes a first field and a second field.
[0190] The first field is used to indicate whether the device sending the first side control information supports the function of "indicating device type (or indicating receiving device type)", or the first field is used to indicate whether the device sending the first side control information indicates the type of receiving device.
[0191] For example, when the first field takes the first value, it indicates that the device supports the function of "indicating device type." When the first field takes the second value, it indicates that the device does not support the function of "indicating device type."
[0192] In other words, the first field indicates whether the second field is used to indicate the type of the receiving device. For example, when the first field is a first value, the second field is used to indicate the type of the receiving device; when the first field is a second value, the second field is not used to indicate the type of the receiving device, or the second field is invalid, or the second field has no special meaning.
[0193] In a possible implementation, when the first field takes the first value, the second field is used to indicate the type of one or more devices.
[0194] It should be understood that the values of value A, value B, first value, second value, third value, fourth value, fifth value, etc. in this application may be predefined or configured. For example, if the corresponding field occupies 1 bit, the corresponding value of the field may be 0 or 1; if the corresponding field occupies 2 bits, the corresponding value of the field may be 00, 01, 10, or 11. Other values that can distinguish the meaning of the field indication are also applicable to this application and should be within the scope of protection of this application.
[0195] The following description is made by taking the example that the first field and the second field each occupy 1 bit.
[0196] For example, the transmitting UE uses 2 reserved bits in SCI1 to indicate the type of the receiving UE.
[0197] That is, the indication information A occupies 2 bits, wherein the 2 bits include a first bit and a second bit, the first bit is used to indicate whether the second bit is used to indicate the type of the receiving device, and the second bit can be used to indicate the type of the receiving device.
[0198] For example, a first bit value of 0 indicates that the second bit is not used to indicate the type of the receiving device, and a first bit value of 1 indicates that the second bit is used to indicate the type of the receiving device. A second bit value of 0 indicates that the type of the receiving device is the first type, and a second bit value of 1 indicates that the type of the receiving device is the second type.
[0199] For example, if the sending UE indicates "00", the second bit has no meaning of indicating the type of the receiving UE.
[0200] When the sending UE indicates "10" or "11", the second bit indicates the type of the receiving UE. For example, if the second bit is 0, it indicates that the type of the receiving UE is Regular UE, and if the second bit is 1, it indicates that the type of the receiving UE is RedCap UE.
[0201] In unicast communication, a sending UE and a receiving UE perform one-to-one communication, and the sending UE may indicate the type of the receiving UE to the receiving UE.
[0202] Optionally, before sending the indication information A, the sending UE may also indicate to the target receiving UE whether the sending UE supports "indicating the type of the receiving device", or indicate to the target receiving UE whether the sending UE carries indication information for indicating the type of the receiving device in the first sideline control information (e.g., SCI1), or indicate to the target receiving UE the protocol version supported by the sending UE (the receiving UE may determine whether the UE of the protocol version supports "indicating the type of the receiving device" based on the protocol version). The target receiving UE can be understood as the target receiving UE of the signal S, that is, the signal S is sent to the target receiving UE.
[0203] In one possible implementation, when the sending UE and the target receiving UE establish a unicast connection, the sending UE may indicate to the target receiving UE whether the sending UE supports "indicating the type of the receiving device" (for example, carried in the capability information); or, when the sending UE supports "indicating the type of the receiving device", the sending UE may indicate to the target receiving UE that it supports "indicating the type of the receiving device" (for example, carried in the capability information). If the sending UE does not support "indicating the type of the receiving device", the sending UE sets the first field to the second value (for example, the second value is "0"); if the sending UE supports "indicating the type of the receiving device", the sending UE sets the first field to the first value (for example, the first value is "1").
[0204] For example, "10" indicates that the receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "11" indicates that the receiving UE is a RedCap UE.
[0205] In multicast or broadcast communication, a sending UE and a receiving UE perform one-to-many communication, and the sending UE may indicate the type of the one or more receiving UEs.
[0206] In one possible implementation, when the sending UE and the target receiving UE establish a communication group or discover group devices, the sending UE may indicate to the target receiving UE whether the sending UE supports "indicating the type of the receiving device" (for example, carried in a discovery message); or, when the sending UE supports "indicating the type of the receiving device", the sending UE may indicate to the target receiving UE that it supports "indicating the type of the receiving device" (for example, carried in capability information). If the sending UE does not support "indicating the type of the receiving device", the sending UE sets the first field to the second value (for example, the second value is "0"); if the sending UE supports "indicating the type of the receiving device", the sending UE sets the first field to the first value (for example, the first value is "1").
[0207] The second field indicates the type of receiving device in the following manner:
[0208] When the value of the second field is the third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the value of the second field is the fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are devices of the second type;
[0209] or,
[0210] When the value of the second field is the third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the first type; when the value of the second field is the fourth value, the second field indicates that at least one device among the one or more devices is a device of the second type;
[0211] or,
[0212] When the second field value is the third value, the second field indicates that at least one of the one or more devices belongs to the first type of device; when the second field value is the fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices all belong to the second type of device.
[0213] Specifically, the following describes the second field indication method with examples.
[0214] In a possible implementation, "10" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs and "11" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs, or "11" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs and "10" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs.
[0215] If the target receiving UEs of the multicast service include both regular UEs and redcap UEs, the transmitting UE can send two PSSCHs, indicating "10" and "11" in the corresponding SCI1. For example, "10" indicates that the receiving UE is a regular UE, and "11" indicates that the receiving UE is a redcap UE.
[0216] In another possible implementation, "10" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, and "11" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a RedCap UE; or, "11" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, and "10" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a RedCap UE.
[0217] In another possible implementation, "10" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "11" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs; or, "11" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "10" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs.
[0218] Optionally, the transmitting UE may also use 3 reserved bits in SCI1 to indicate the type of the receiving UE. For example, the first field occupies 1 bit and the second field occupies 2 bits. The second field indicates the type of the receiving device as follows:
[0219] When the second field takes the third value, the second field indicates that one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the second field takes the fourth value, the second field indicates that one or more devices are devices of the second type; when the second field takes the fifth value, the second field indicates that one or more devices include devices of the first type and devices of the second type.
[0220] For example, "100" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, "101" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs, and "110" indicates that the receiving UEs include both Regular UEs and RedCap UEs.
[0221] Mode 2: the indication information A indicates whether the first sideline control information includes identification information corresponding to the signal S.
[0222] For example, indication information A is a reserved field in the first sideline control information (e.g., SCI1). The value of this field indicates whether the first sideline control information includes identification information corresponding to signal S. For example, a value of 0 in this field indicates that the first sideline control information does not include identification information corresponding to signal S, while a value of 1 in this field indicates that the first sideline control information includes identification information corresponding to signal S. It should be understood that the correspondence between the value of this field and the meaning represented by the value can be predefined (configured) or configured.
[0223] It should be understood that after the first device receives the first sideline control information from the second device, it can detect or decode the first sideline control information based on the number of bits of the first sideline control information. For example, the number of bits of the first sideline control information is 30, and the value of each bit is 0 or 1. The last bit of the 30 bits is indication information A, and the first 10 bits of the 30 bits are frequency resource indication information, or the first 5 bits are frequency resource indication information and the 6th to 10th bits are identification information; when the last bit is 0, the first device believes that the first sideline control information does not include identification information, and determines the frequency domain resource position based on the 1st to 10th bits; when the last bit is 1, the first device believes that the first sideline control information includes identification information, and determines the frequency domain resource position based on the 1st to 5th bits, and determines the identification information based on the 5th to 10th bits.
[0224] When signal S is data, the identification information corresponding to signal S can be understood as the identification of the data transmitting device and / or the identification of the data receiving device. Alternatively, the identification information corresponding to signal S can be understood as the identification corresponding to the data, such as a service identification. For example, the identification information can be a physical layer source ID (or layer 1 source ID), a physical layer destination ID (or layer 1 destination ID), a medium access control (MAC) layer source ID (or layer 2 source ID), or a MAC layer destination ID (or layer 2 destination ID).
[0225] Optionally, the sending device corresponding to the signal S is a first type of device (ie, RedCap UE), and / or at least one of the receiving devices corresponding to the signal S is a first type of device (ie, RedCap UE).
[0226] In one possible implementation, the identification information corresponding to the signal S can be indicated by the FRIV field (also called the frequency resource allocation indication field, which can also be understood as the frequency resource allocation indication field when the identification information is not included in the SCI1). A bit can be reserved in the SCI1 to indicate the type of the FRIV field. There are two types of FRIV fields: one is that the FRIV field is used entirely to indicate the frequency domain resource location information, that is, it does not include the identification information corresponding to the signal S; the other is that it can be used to indicate the identification information corresponding to the signal S.
[0227] For example, the second device uses 1 bit in SCI1 to indicate the type of the FRIV field (i.e., the indication information A includes this 1 bit). For example, "0" indicates that the entire FRIV field is used to indicate frequency domain resource location information, and "1" indicates that some bits of the FRIV field can be used to indicate ID information (i.e., identification information corresponding to signal S).
[0228] The following description is made by taking the example that the indication information A indicates that the first side control information includes the identification information corresponding to the signal S.
[0229] The number of bits of the identification information corresponding to the signal S may be determined according to the bandwidth size of the time-frequency resource set of the first type of device and the bandwidth size of the time-frequency resource set of the second type of device.
[0230] In one possible implementation, the number of bits B of the identification information corresponding to the signal S satisfies the following relationship:
[0231] or,
[0232] Wherein, M is the number of frequency domain units included in the time-frequency resources of the second type of device, N is the number of frequency domain units included in the time-frequency resources of the first type of device, N is a positive integer, and M is a positive integer greater than N. A frequency domain unit can be an RB set, a subchannel, a subband, an RB, etc.
[0233] Specifically, assuming that the number of sub-channels (or RB sets) in the Regular UE resource pool is M and the number of sub-channels (or RB sets) in the RedCap UE resource pool is N, the number of bits of the identification information corresponding to the signal S is determined according to the following method:
[0234] The number of bits available for the FRIV field is: (up to 2 resources are reserved); or, (A maximum of 3 resources can be reserved).
[0235] The actual number of bits required for frequency domain resource indication is: (up to 2 resources are reserved); or, (A maximum of 3 resources can be reserved);
[0236] The number of bits available for ID information indication is: (up to 2 resources are reserved); or, (A maximum of 3 resources can be reserved).
[0237] It should be understood that when the first side control information does not include identification information, the number of bits of the frequency resource allocation indication field is B1; when the first side control information includes identification information, the number of bits of the frequency resource allocation indication field is B2, and the number of bits of the identification information is B1-B2, for example, the first B2 bits of B1 bits are used to indicate the frequency domain resource position, and the last B1-B2 bits of B1 bits are used to indicate the identification information.
[0238] The identification information corresponding to signal S includes at least one of the following: all or part of the bits of the source identification corresponding to signal S, all or part of the bits of the destination identification corresponding to signal S, all or part of the bits of the sending device identification corresponding to signal S, and all or part of the bits of the receiving device identification corresponding to signal S.
[0239] When the identification information corresponding to the signal S includes some bits of the above identification, the remaining bits can be carried in the second control information (SCI2) associated with the signal S and / or the MAC header.
[0240] In this application, "identification" can also be replaced by "address", such as layer 1 identification (layer1 ID, or physical layer identification), layer 2 identification (layer2 ID, or MAC layer identification), RRC layer identification, application layer identification, device entity identification, etc.
[0241] Table 1 shows the relationship between the number of bits used to indicate identification information (ID), the subcarrier spacing, and the number of PRBs.
[0242] Taking the subcarrier spacing of 30 kHz as an example, assuming that the bandwidth of the Regular UE resource pool is 100 MHz and the bandwidth of the RedCap UE resource pool is 20 MHz, then under different numbers of subchannels, the number of bits in SCI1 that can be used to indicate ID information is 4 to 8.
[0243] Exemplarily, when the first side control information (e.g., SCI1) does not include identification information, the complete source ID (i.e., the source end ID of the signal, or the ID of the sending end of the signal) and the destination ID (i.e., the destination end ID of the signal, or the ID of the receiving end of the signal) are 24 bits respectively, of which 8 bits of the source ID and 16 bits of the destination ID are carried in SCI2, and the remaining bits are carried in the media access control (MAC) header.
[0244] When the first sideline control information (for example, SCI1) includes identification information:
[0245] In one possible implementation, 4 to 8 bits of the 8-bit source ID and / or the 16-bit destination ID in SCI2 may be carried in SCI1. The number of bits carried in SCI2 may remain unchanged or only the remaining bits not carried in SCI1 may be carried.
[0246] In another possible implementation, 4 to 8 bits of the 16-bit source ID and / or the 8-bit destination ID in the MAC header may be carried in the SCI1.
[0247] In another possible implementation, any 4 to 8 bits of the complete 24-bit source ID and / or the 24-bit destination ID may be carried in SCI1.
[0248] Table 1 Relationship between the number of bits used to indicate ID information, subcarrier spacing, and PRB number
[0249] Here, M@100MHz represents the number of sub-channels included in a resource pool with a bandwidth of 100MHz, and N@20MHz represents the number of sub-channels included in a resource pool with a bandwidth of 20MHz.
[0250] 320. The first device determines whether to detect the first sidelink signal according to the first indication information.
[0251] In other words, the first device determines whether to detect (also called decode) the shared channel according to the first indication information, such as whether to decode the PSSCH in 310 .
[0252] The example in 310 is used below, with indication information A being taken as an example of the first indication information, and signal S being taken as an example of the first sideways signal.
[0253] Corresponding to Example 1 in 310:
[0254] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A (or the value of the first field), specifically as follows:
[0255] In one possible implementation, when the value of the first field is value A, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the value of the first field is value B, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices are devices of the second type.
[0256] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A, including:
[0257] When the first device is a first type device, if the value of the first field is value A, the first device determines to detect the signal S; if the value of the first field is value B, the first device determines not to detect the signal S.
[0258] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the first field is value A, the first device determines not to detect the signal S; if the value of the first field is value B, the first device determines to detect the signal S;
[0259] In one possible implementation, when the value of the first field is value A, the indication information A indicates that the one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the value of the first field is value B, the indication information A indicates that at least one of the one or more devices is a device of the second type.
[0260] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A, including:
[0261] When the first device is a first type device, if the first field takes the value A or the value B, the first device determines the detection signal S,
[0262] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the first field is value A, the first device determines not to detect the signal S; if the value of the first field is value B, the first device determines to detect the signal S;
[0263] In one possible implementation, when the value of the first field is value A, the indication information A indicates that at least one of the one or more devices belongs to the first type of device; when the value of the first field is value B, the indication information A indicates that the one or more devices all belong to the second type of device.
[0264] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A, including:
[0265] When the first device is a first type device, if the value of the first field is value A, the first device determines to detect the signal S; if the value of the first field is value B, the first device determines not to detect the signal S.
[0266] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the first field is value A or value B, the first device determines the detection signal S;
[0267] In one possible implementation, when the value of the first field is value A, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the value of the first field is value B, the indication information A indicates that one or more devices are devices of the second type; when the value of the first field is value C, the indication information A indicates that the one or more devices include devices of the first type and devices of the second type.
[0268] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A, including:
[0269] When the first device is a first type device, if the value of the first field is value A or value C, the first device determines to detect the signal S; if the value of the first field is value B, the first device determines not to detect the signal S.
[0270] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the first field is value A, the first device determines not to detect signal S; if the value of the first field is value B or value C, the first device determines to detect signal S.
[0271] For example, corresponding to case 1 in 310:
[0272] In unicast communication, when the receiving UE is a Regular UE, the transmitting UE indicates "0" in SCI1, and when the receiving UE is a RedCap UE, the transmitting UE indicates "1" in SCI1. The RedCap UE detects signal S when it detects that this field indicates "1", and the Regular UE detects signal S when it detects that this field indicates "0".
[0273] In multicast or broadcast communications, transmitting UEs and receiving UEs communicate one-to-many. In one possible implementation, "0" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, and "1" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs. If the target receiving UEs for a multicast / broadcast service include both Regular UEs and RedCap UEs, the transmitting UE can send two PSSCHs, indicating "0" and "1" in the corresponding SCI1 fields, respectively. RedCap UEs detect signal S when they detect that this field indicates "1," and regular UEs detect signal S when they detect that this field indicates "0."
[0274] Corresponding to another possible implementation, "0" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, "1" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a RedCap UE, and the RedCap UE detects the signal S when detecting that the field indicates "1", and the Regular UE detects the signal S when detecting that the field indicates "0" or "1".
[0275] In another possible implementation, "0" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "1" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs. A RedCap UE detects signal S when detecting that this field indicates "0" or "1," and a Regular UE detects signal S when detecting that this field indicates "0."
[0276] In another possible implementation, "0" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "1" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a RedCap UE. A RedCap UE detects signal S when detecting that this field indicates "0" or "1," and a Regular UE detects signal S when detecting that this field indicates "0" or "1."
[0277] Corresponding to case 2 in 310:
[0278] In unicast, multicast, or broadcast scenarios, "00" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, "01" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs, and "10" indicates that the receiving UEs include both Regular and RedCap UEs. RedCap UEs detect signal S when they detect that this field indicates "01" or "10," and regular UEs detect signal S when they detect that this field indicates "00" or "10."
[0279] Corresponding to Example 2 in 310:
[0280] In one possible implementation, if the sending UE does not support "indicating the type of the receiving device", the sending UE sets the first field to the second value (for example, the second value is "0"); if the sending UE supports "indicating the type of the receiving device", the sending UE sets the first field to the first value (for example, the first value is "1"). The receiving UE detects the signal S when it detects that the value of the first field is the second value, and determines whether to detect the signal S based on the value of the second field when it detects that the value of the first field is the first value. For example, the first bit value is 0, indicating that the second bit is not used to indicate the type of the receiving device, and the first bit value is 1, indicating that the second bit is used to indicate the type of the receiving device. When the first bit value is 0, the first device determines to detect the signal S regardless of whether it is of the first type or the second type.
[0281] In one possible implementation, before receiving indication information A, if the target sending UE indicates to the receiving UE that the target sending UE does not support "indicating the type of receiving device", or if the target sending UE does not indicate to the receiving UE that the target sending UE supports "indicating the type of receiving device", the receiving UE detects that the value of the first field is the second value and detects signal S, and the receiving UE may not detect signal S when detecting that the value of the first field is the first value; if the target sending UE indicates to the receiving UE that the target sending UE supports "indicating the type of receiving device", the receiving UE determines whether to detect signal S based on the value of the second field when detecting that the value of the first field is the first value, and may not detect signal S when detecting that the value of the first field is the second value. The target sending UE can be understood as a sending UE that has communication needs with the receiving UE, for example, a UE that has established a unicast connection with the receiving UE, or a UE that belongs to the same communication group as the receiving UE.
[0282] When the value of the first field is the first value, the first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the value of the second field, as follows:
[0283] In one possible implementation, when the second field takes the third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the second field takes the fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are devices of the second type.
[0284] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A, including:
[0285] When the first device is a first type device, if the second field value is the third value, the first device determines to detect the signal S; if the second field value is the fourth value, the first device determines not to detect the signal S.
[0286] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the second field is the third value, the first device determines not to detect the signal S; if the value of the second field is the fourth value, the first device determines to detect the signal S;
[0287] In one possible implementation, when the second field takes the third value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices are all devices of the first type; when the second field takes the fourth value, the second field indicates that at least one of the one or more devices is a device of the second type.
[0288] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A, including:
[0289] When the first device is a first type of device, if the second field takes the third value or the fourth value, the first device determines the detection signal S,
[0290] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the second field is the third value, the first device determines not to detect the signal S; if the value of the second field is the fourth value, the first device determines to detect the signal S;
[0291] In one possible implementation, when the second field takes the third value, the second field indicates that at least one of the one or more devices belongs to the first type of device; when the second field takes the fourth value, the second field indicates that the one or more devices all belong to the second type of device.
[0292] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A, including:
[0293] When the first device is a first type device, if the second field value is the third value, the first device determines to detect the signal S; if the second field value is the fourth value, the first device determines not to detect the signal S.
[0294] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the second field is the third value or the fourth value, the first device determines the detection signal S;
[0295] In one possible implementation, when the second field takes a third value, the second field indicates that one or more devices are devices of the first type; when the second field takes a fourth value, the second field indicates that one or more devices are devices of the second type; when the second field takes a fifth value, the second field indicates that one or more devices include devices of the first type and devices of the second type.
[0296] The first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the indication information A, including:
[0297] When the first device is a first type device, if the second field value is the third value or the fifth value, the first device determines to detect the signal S; if the second field value is the fourth value, the first device determines not to detect the signal S.
[0298] When the first device is a device of the second type, if the value of the second field is the third value, the first device determines not to detect the signal S; if the value of the second field is the fourth value or the fifth value, the first device determines to detect the signal S.
[0299] The following describes the method in which the receiving UE determines whether to detect the signal S by taking examples in combination with different communication scenarios.
[0300] In unicast communication, the transmitting UE and the receiving UE communicate one-to-one. "10" indicates that the receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "11" indicates that the receiving UE is a RedCap UE. A RedCap UE detects signal S when it detects "11" in this field; a Regular UE detects signal S when it detects "10" in this field.
[0301] In multicast communication, a sending UE and a receiving UE perform one-to-many communication.
[0302] Corresponding to a possible implementation method, "10" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, and "11" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs; if the target receiving UEs of the multicast service include both Regular UEs and RedCap UEs, the sending UE can send two PSSCHs, indicating "10" and "11" in the corresponding SCI1 respectively. When the RedCap UE detects that the field indicates "11", it detects the signal S, and when the Regular UE detects that the field indicates "10", it detects the signal S.
[0303] Corresponding to another possible implementation, "10" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, and "11" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a RedCap UE. The RedCap UE detects signal S when it detects that the field indicates "11", and the Regular UE detects signal S when it detects that the field indicates "10" or "11".
[0304] In another possible implementation, "10" indicates that at least one receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "11" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs. A RedCap UE detects signal S when it detects that this field indicates "10" or "11," and a Regular UE detects signal S when it detects that this field indicates "10."
[0305] In another possible implementation, three reserved bits are used in SCI1 for the transmitting UE to indicate the type of receiving UE. "100" indicates that all receiving UEs are Regular UEs, "101" indicates that all receiving UEs are RedCap UEs, and "110" indicates that the receiving UEs include both Regular and RedCap UEs. A RedCap UE detects signal S when it detects that this field indicates "101" or "110." A regular UE detects signal S when it detects that this field indicates "100" or "110."
[0306] The detection method in broadcast communication is the same as that in multicast communication and is not described in detail.
[0307] It should be understood that the above description is based on the example of the receiving UE (i.e., the first device) detecting the signal S. If the receiving UE detects an indication other than the above indication for determining the detection of the signal S, it will not detect the signal S. For example, in unicast communication, the sending UE and the receiving UE communicate one-to-one. "10" indicates that the receiving UE is a Regular UE, and "11" indicates that the receiving UE is a RedCap UE. When the RedCap UE detects that the field indicates "10", it determines not to detect the signal S; when the Regular UE detects that the field indicates "11", it determines not to detect the signal S. Other descriptions are similar to this and will not be repeated here.
[0308] Corresponding to method 2 in 310:
[0309] When the indication information A indicates that the first sideline control information includes identification information corresponding to the signal S, the first device determines whether to detect the signal S according to the identification information corresponding to the signal S.
[0310] In one possible implementation, when the identification information corresponding to the signal S is identical to all or part of the fields of the identification information corresponding to the first device, the first device determines that the signal S is detected.
[0311] For example, the receiving UE interprets the FRIV field based on 1 bit in the indication information A. If some bits of the FRIV field can be used to indicate ID information, the receiving UE determines whether the ID information indicated by SCI1 matches the ID of the transmitting device and / or receiving device corresponding to signal S. If it is determined that there is no match, there is no need to detect signal S. If there is a match, the first device needs to detect signal S. For example, the ID information indicated by SCI1 includes the high-order 5 bits (or the first 5 bits) of the 16-bit layer 1 destination ID. If the receiving UE determines that the 5 bits indicated in SCI1 are the same as the high-order 5 bits of the layer 1 destination ID corresponding to the receiving UE, it determines to detect signal S; otherwise, it does not detect signal S.
[0312] It should be understood that the first device should also receive the first sideline signal. For example, the second device sends the first sideline signal to the first device, and correspondingly, the first device receives the first sideline signal.
[0313] In this method, when the time-frequency resource sets of the first device and the second device overlap, and the SCI1 size of the first device and the second device is the same, the second device carries indication information in SCI1, which is used by the first device to determine whether to decode the data channel, thereby avoiding unnecessary PSSCH channel estimation and SCI2 decoding, thereby reducing the power consumption of the first device.
[0314] The various implementations described in this document may be independent solutions or may be combined according to internal logic, and all of these solutions fall within the scope of protection of this application.
[0315] It should be understood that the first device in this application can be a network device or a terminal device. The second device can be a network device or a terminal device. [0328] The communication unit is used to send and receive information, for example, to send instruction information A.
[0329] The above are just examples. The processing unit 410 and the communication unit 420 can also perform other functions. For more detailed descriptions, please refer to the method embodiment shown in Figure 3 or related descriptions in other method embodiments, which are not repeated here.
[0330] As another possible product form, the first device and the second device described in the embodiment of the present application can be implemented by a general bus architecture. The communication device 500 can be a first terminal device, or a chip or chip system therein; or, the communication device 500 can be a second terminal device, or a chip or module therein; or, the communication device 500 can be a third terminal device, or a chip or module therein; or, the communication device 500 can be a fourth terminal device, or a chip or module therein; or, the communication device 500 can be a fifth terminal device, or a chip or module therein; or, the communication device 500 can be a sixth terminal device, or a chip or module therein. Figure 5 only shows the main components of the communication device 500.
