[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0002] This application is based on the Chinese patent application with application number 202310817621.8 and application date of July 4, 2023, and claims the priority of the Chinese patent application. [0003] The present application relates to the field of aerosol generation technology, and in particular to an aerosol generating substrate, an aerosol generating product and an electronic atomization device. Background Art
[0004] The aerosol-generating substrate can form an aerosol by ignition or by heating without combustion. For example, the aerosol-generating substrate that is heated without combustion is heated using an external heat source to a sufficient temperature to emit an aerosol. The aerosol-generating substrate does not burn, and the aerosol is released by heating the aerosol-generating substrate during use.
[0005] Related technologies employ either peripheral or central heating of the aerosol-generating substrate. Central heating involves inserting a heating element into the aerosol-generating substrate to heat it from the inside out. Peripheral heating involves placing a heating element around the periphery of the aerosol-generating substrate to heat it from the outside in. However, heating the aerosol-generating substrate can result in inconsistent aerosol release, such as faster or slower aerosol release.

[0008] To achieve the above objectives, the present invention provides an aerosol-generating substrate, comprising:
[0009] Basic segment;
[0010] The adjusting section, the base section and the adjusting section are radially sleeved, one of the radial surfaces of the base section and the adjusting section is a heating surface, and at least one parameter of the adjusting section and the base section is different, and the parameter includes thermal conductivity, mass, wall thickness of the medium and total cross-sectional area of the medium.

During the heating process, the cold end area of the aerosol generating matrix radially away from the heating surface will not be heated too quickly, so that the aerosol release rate during the puffing process tends to be consistent, thereby ensuring that the aerosol released by the aerosol generating matrix in the front and rear sections of the puffing is relatively consistent, improving the consistency of the aerosol release, and ensuring a consistent effect before and after the puffing experience. [0043] It should be noted that, unless there is a conflict, the embodiments and technical features in the embodiments of this application may be combined with each other. The detailed descriptions in the specific implementation methods should be understood as explanations of the purpose of this application and should not be regarded as undue limitations on this application. In this application, the term "a plurality" includes a quantity of two or more. The unit "mm" is millimeter.
[0044] In the related art, if circumferential heating is used, the direction of heat transfer is radially from the periphery to the center. During the heat transfer process, the circumference of the aerosol-generating matrix gradually decreases, that is, the volume of the heated medium gradually decreases, and the mass of the heated medium gradually decreases. If the heat transfer rate is not controlled, it is easy to cause the aerosol and other effective substances in the front section of the puff to be released too quickly, the satisfaction is too strong, and the attenuation is serious in the back section of the puff. If central heating is used, the direction of heat transfer is radially from the center to the periphery. During the heat transfer process, the circumference of the aerosol-generating matrix gradually increases, that is, the volume of the heated medium gradually increases, and the mass of the heated medium gradually increases. If the heat transfer rate is not controlled, it is easy to cause the aerosol and other effective substances in the front section of the puff to be released slowly, the taste of the first few puffs is not good, and the central area in the back section of the puff is over-baked, causing the problem of impurities.
[0045] In view of this, referring to FIG. 1 , an embodiment of the present application provides an aerosol-generating substrate 10 , which includes a base segment 1 and an adjustment segment 2 .
[0046] The base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 are sleeved in the radial direction. For example, in some embodiments, the base segment 1 is sleeved in the adjustment segment 2. In other embodiments, the adjustment segment 2 is sleeved in the base segment 1.
[0047] One radial surface of the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 is a heating surface. For example, in some embodiments, one radial surface of the base segment 1 is a heating surface. In other embodiments, one radial surface of the adjustment segment 2 is a heating surface. The heating surface is configured to face the heating element to receive heat from the heating element.
[0048] At least one parameter of the adjustment section 2 and the base section 1 is different, and the parameters include thermal conductivity, mass, the wall thickness H of the medium, and the total cross-sectional area of the medium. Exemplarily, in some embodiments, the adjustment section 2 and the base section 1 are different in one parameter, for example, one of the thermal conductivity, mass, the wall thickness H of the medium, and the total cross-sectional area of the medium may be different. In other embodiments, the adjustment section 2 and the base section 1 are different in two parameters, for example, two of the thermal conductivity, mass, the wall thickness H of the medium, and the total cross-sectional area of the medium may be different. In still other embodiments, the adjustment section 2 and the base section 1 are different in three parameters, for example, three of the thermal conductivity, mass, the wall thickness H of the medium, and the total cross-sectional area of the medium may be different. In still other embodiments, the adjustment section 2 and the base section 1 are different in four parameters, for example, all four of the thermal conductivity, mass, the wall thickness H of the medium, and the total cross-sectional area of the medium may be different.
[0049] Thermal conductivity, also known as thermal conductivity coefficient or thermal conductivity, refers to the amount of heat transferred per unit temperature gradient per unit time through a unit heat-conducting surface. Thermal conductivity is a physical quantity that indicates the heat transfer capacity of a structure. The different thermal conductivities of base section 1 and adjustment section 2 result in different heat transfer rates between adjustment section 2 and base section 1.
[0050] For example, the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 may be made of different materials to achieve different thermal conductivities.
[0051] The medium refers to the physical structure that encloses and forms a space. For example, in the case of the first air channel 2a formed in the regulating section 2, the medium encloses and forms the first air channel 2a. Referring to Figure 1, the wall thickness H of the medium refers to the thickness of the medium within a cross-section perpendicular to the axial direction. Due to the different wall thicknesses H of the medium, the dimensions of the heat transfer path vary during heat conduction, resulting in different heat transfer rates between the regulating section 2 and the base section 1.
[0052] The adjustment section 2 and the base section 1 have different masses, so that the content of the medium capable of releasing aerosol is different, resulting in different heat transfer rates between the adjustment section 2 and the base section 1.
[0053] The total cross-sectional area of the medium refers to the total area of all media projected onto a plane perpendicular to the axial direction. The total cross-sectional area of the media in the adjustment section 2 and the base section 1 differs. Because heat conducts radially, the heated areas of the two sections differ, resulting in different heat transfer rates.
[0054] In the embodiment of the present application, the heat from the heating surface is transferred radially between the base section 1 and the adjustment section 2. Since at least one parameter of the adjustment section 2 and the base section 1 is different, including thermal conductivity, mass, wall thickness H of the medium and the total cross-sectional area of the medium, the heat transfer rates of the base section 1 and the adjustment section 2 are different, so that the heat transfer rate of heat from the heating surface along the radial direction changes. During the heating process, the cold end area of the aerosol generating matrix 10 radially away from the heating surface will not be heated too quickly, so that the aerosol release rate during the puffing process tends to be consistent, thereby ensuring that the aerosol released by the aerosol generating matrix 10 in the front and rear sections of the puffing is relatively consistent, improving the consistency of the aerosol release, and ensuring a consistent effect before and after the puffing experience.
[0055] It should be noted that the "front end" of the puff refers to the initial use period of the aerosol-generating substrate 10, and the "back end" of the puff refers to the period when the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is nearly completely released. The "front end" and "back end" of the puff refer to the early and late stages of the life cycle of the aerosol-generating substrate 10, respectively.
[0056] Based on the thermal resistance formula, radial heat transfer resistance = radial size of the medium / (thermal conductivity*total cross-sectional area of the medium). For both circumferential heating and central heating, heat is transferred radially. The aerosol generating matrix 10 provided in the embodiment of the present application can control the heat transfer rate during the entire puffing process (i.e., within the service life of the aerosol generating matrix 10), and the cold end of the aerosol generating matrix 10 will not be heated too quickly, thereby achieving overall release rate consistency.
[0057] It should be noted that there may be a clear physical boundary between the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2. For example, if the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 are made of different materials, have different wall thicknesses, and have different total cross-sectional areas, there may be a clear physical boundary between the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2. If the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 have different masses and are separated by an air space, there may also be a clear physical boundary between them.
[0058] There may not be a clear physical boundary between the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2. For example, if the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 differ only in mass, and if the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 are connected as a whole, there may not be a clear physical boundary between the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2. However, this does not affect the division between the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2. For example, the division can be based on the structural shape of the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2.
[0059] Referring to FIG. 10 and FIG. 11 , an embodiment of the present application further provides an aerosol-generating article, which includes the aerosol-generating substrate 10 and the functional segment 20 in any one embodiment of the present application.
[0060] The functional section 20 is disposed at one axial end of the aerosol generating substrate 10 , and the functional section 20 includes at least a filter section 21 for filtering aerosol. The filter section 21 is used to filter the aerosol generated by the aerosol generating substrate 10 .
[0061] The aerosol-generating article is used for a user to inhale the aerosol generated by the aerosol-generating substrate 10. For example, the user can inhale the filtered aerosol through the filter section 21. The aerosol generated by the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is transported to the filter section 21 under the action of the negative suction pressure.
[0062] The aerosol-generating article is used in conjunction with an electronic atomization device having a heating element.
[0063] The electronic atomization device provided in the embodiments of the present application includes the aerosol-generating article of any embodiment of the present application and a heater, with the heater facing the heating surface. The heater is used to heat the aerosol-generating substrate 10 to generate an aerosol. In other words, the heat from the heater is transferred to the heating surface and then radially transferred within the aerosol-generating substrate 10.
[0064] It should be noted that in the embodiments of the present application, the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is used to generate aerosols by heating. For example, the aerosol-generating substrate 10 can be used to generate aerosols by heating without burning. That is, the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is heated below its ignition point to generate aerosols. The aerosol-generating substrate 10 does not burn during the aerosol generation process. In some application scenarios, the aerosol-generating substrate 10 can be used to generate aerosols by ignition. The aerosol-generating substrate 10 of the present application is more commonly used to generate aerosols by heating without burning.
[0065] The heating methods of the heating element include, but are not limited to, resistance heating, electromagnetic heating, infrared heating, microwave heating or laser heating, etc. Among them, the heating element may be in contact with the heating surface or not. Transferring heat in the form of thermal convection means that the heating element is not in contact with the heating surface, the heating element first heats the air, and then the hot air bakes and heats the aerosol generating matrix 10. Thermal conduction means that the heating element is in contact with the heating surface and conducts heat to the aerosol generating matrix 10. Exemplarily, resistance and electromagnetic heating mainly transfer heat to the aerosol generating matrix 10 in the form of thermal conduction or thermal convection. Infrared heating, microwave heating or laser heating mainly transfer heat to the aerosol generating matrix 10 in the form of thermal radiation. That is, the heating element can heat the aerosol generating matrix 10 in one or more of the three forms of thermal conduction, thermal convection and thermal radiation.
[0066] In some embodiments, the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is an extruded structure. That is, the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is a one-piece structure manufactured using an extrusion process. The extruded aerosol-generating substrate 10 remains a single piece during use, such as during heating and after heating, and is less likely to disintegrate or fall apart.
[0067] Compared to the ordered or disordered filamentary media produced by conventional methods such as papermaking and thick slurry processes, extruded media are interconnected and contain less air, which can improve the overall thermal conductivity of the aerosol-generating matrix 10. By adjusting different parameters, the heat transfer efficiency of different parts of the aerosol-generating matrix 10 can be effectively adjusted, thereby improving puff consistency.
[0068] Extrusion molding refers to a processing method in which the material is pushed forward by the screw through the action between the barrel and the screw of the extruder and is molded into the aerosol-generating matrix 10 through the outlet of the barrel.
[0069] The cross-sectional profile of the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is not limited. Exemplary cross-sectional profiles include circular (see FIG. 1 ), elliptical, polygonal (including but not limited to triangular, square, or prismatic), racetrack-shaped, or irregularly shaped. "Irregularly shaped" refers to symmetrical or asymmetrical shapes other than those listed above. Regular cross-sectional profiles of the aerosol-generating substrate 10 other than irregular shapes provide good product consistency and facilitate product quality monitoring.
[0070] It should be understood that the contour shape of the cross section of the aerosol-generating substrate 10 refers to the shape of the outermost edge line of the cross section of the aerosol-generating substrate 10. For example, the contour shape of the cross section of the aerosol-generating substrate 10 refers to the shape of the outermost edge line of the cross section formed by the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2.
[0071] It should be noted that the axial direction is the direction in which the aerosol-generating substrate 10 extends. For example, if the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is formed by extrusion, the axial direction is the direction in which the aerosol-generating substrate 10 extends during the extrusion process. The radial direction is perpendicular to the axial direction, with the outward direction being the direction radially away from the central region, and the inward direction being the opposite of the outward direction.
[0072] Referring to Figure 1 , the cross-sectional profile of the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is circular. This embodiment of the present application uses a circular cross-sectional profile of the aerosol-generating substrate 10 as an example for illustration, i.e., the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is cylindrical overall. The axial dimension of the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is greater than the maximum distance between two points on its cross-section, such as its diameter.
[0073] It can be understood that if the cross-sectional profile of the aerosol-generating substrate 10 is circular, the aerosol-generating substrate 10 as a whole is a prism.
[0074] In one embodiment, referring to Figures 1 to 9, the regulating section 2 is formed with a first air channel 2a that runs through at least one end thereof in the axial direction. For example, the first air channel 2a runs through one end of the regulating section 2 in the axial direction. For another example, the first air channel 2a runs through both ends of the regulating section 2 in the axial direction. The airflow can flow axially from one end of the regulating section 2 to the other end of the regulating section 2. In this way, the first air channel 2a can collect and circulate the aerosol, unblocking the release path of the aerosol, thereby improving the extraction efficiency of the aerosol. The first air channel 2a runs through both ends of the regulating section 2 in the axial direction, and the airflow formed by the air carrying the aerosol can flow more smoothly, and the airflow flow resistance is smaller, which can significantly reduce the suction resistance during the suction process and improve the suction experience.
[0075] The number of the first air channels 2 a is not limited. For example, there may be one or more first air channels 2 a .
[0076] In one embodiment, referring to Figures 4 to 9, the base segment 1 is formed with a second air channel 1b that runs through at least one end thereof in the axial direction. For example, the second air channel 1b runs through one end of the base segment 1 in the axial direction. For another example, the second air channel 1b runs through both ends of the base segment 1 in the axial direction. The airflow can flow axially from one end of the base segment 1 to the other end of the base segment 1. In this way, the second air channel 1b can collect and circulate the aerosol, unblocking the release path of the aerosol, thereby improving the extraction efficiency of the aerosol. The second air channel 1b runs through both ends of the base segment 1 in the axial direction, and the airflow formed by the air carrying the aerosol can flow more smoothly, and the airflow flow resistance is smaller, which can significantly reduce the suction resistance during the suction process and improve the suction experience.
[0077] The number of the second air passages 1 b is not limited. For example, there may be one or more second air passages 1 b .
[0078] In one embodiment, referring to Figures 1 to 9 , the first air channel 2a and / or the second air channel 1b are linear air channels extending in a straight line. Linear air channels are easy to form, reducing manufacturing complexity. The flow resistance of airflow within a linear air channel is relatively low.
[0079] In one embodiment, the first air channel 2a and / or the second air channel 1b are curved air channels, with at least a portion of the aperture of the curved air channel being curved with a curvature of 0.001. The curved air channel can significantly increase the airflow path without significantly increasing the axial length, thereby extending the contact time between the airflow and the aperture wall of the curved air channel, thereby improving the aerosol extraction rate.
[0080] In one embodiment, the curved airway is helical. That is, the three-dimensional shape of the curved airway is a spatial helical shape. A line connecting any point of the helical curved airway and its starting point has an inclination angle relative to its axis. The helical curved airway can significantly extend the airflow path, allowing aerosol to precipitate from the medium into the curved airway, increasing the aerosol flow velocity within the regulating section 2 or the base section 1, thereby increasing the impact of the airflow, enabling even mixing of the aerosol, improving aerosol uniformity, and enhancing the user's inhalation experience.
[0081] It should be noted that micropores may exist within both the regulating section 2 and the base section 1. For example, for the particle-bound aerosol-generating matrix 10, the gaps between the particles constitute micropores. However, the first air channel 2a and the second air channel 1b described herein are distinct from micropores. The first air channel 2a and the second air channel 1b described herein are pores in the macroscopic sense, while micropores are pores in the microscopic sense. The cross-sectional area and length of both the first air channel 2a and the second air channel 1b are significantly larger than those of micropores. The first air channel 2a and the second air channel 1b are primarily formed by a designed mold, such as a die. Therefore, the cross-sectional area and length of both the first air channel 2a and the second air channel 1b can be varied according to design requirements. However, the size of the micropores is determined by the gaps between the particles. For example, if the material used to form the aerosol-generating matrix 10 is a granular material, and the aerosol-generating matrix 10 formed by extrusion has micropores, the cross-sectional area and length of the micropores are naturally formed by the extrusion process and the raw material components. The micropores are formed by the expansion of the material after it is extruded out of the die.
[0082] In one embodiment, referring to Figures 4 and 5 , the base segment 1 forms an annular placement space, and the adjustment segment 2 is located within the placement space. The adjustment segment 2 is radially connected to the base segment 1 on both its inner and outer sides. The radial inner or outer surface of the base segment 1 serves as a heating surface. In other words, the heat transfer process proceeds radially from the portion of the base segment 1 with the heating surface to the adjustment segment 2, and then to the cold end of the base segment 1. Because the parameters of the adjustment segment 2 and the base segment 1 differ, the adjustment segment 2 can adjust the heat transfer rate from the portion of the base segment 1 with the heating surface to the cold end of the base segment 1, thereby ensuring a consistent aerosol release rate during the heating process.
[0083] The radial inner surface or outer surface of the base segment 1 is the heating surface. For example, in some embodiments, the radial inner surface of the base segment 1 is the heating surface. A heating port may be formed in the central area of the base segment 1, and at least part of the heating element is located in the heating port. The circumferential surface of the heating port is the radial inner surface of the base segment 1, that is, the heating surface. In other embodiments, the radial outer surface of the base segment 1 is the heating surface. The heating element may surround the outer surface of the base segment 1. In other words, the heating element may be a cylindrical structure that is sleeved on the outer circumference of the base segment 1.
[0084] For example, in one embodiment, referring to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 , the medium of the regulating section 2 extends radially and connects the two circumferential surfaces of the placement space in the radial direction.
[0085] In some embodiments, the cross-sectional shape of the first air duct 2a is not limited. For example, the cross-sectional shape of the first air duct 2a can be circular, polygonal (including but not limited to triangle, square or prism, etc.), elliptical, runway-shaped, fan-shaped or irregular, etc., where irregular refers to other symmetrical or asymmetrical shapes other than the shapes listed above.
[0086] In one embodiment, referring to Figure 4 , the wall thickness H2 of the medium in the regulating section 2 is less than the wall thickness H1 of the medium in the base section 1. Because the wall thickness H2 of the medium in the regulating section 2 is less than the wall thickness H1 of the medium in the base section 1, the wall thickness H2 of the medium used for heat conduction in the regulating section 2 is smaller, resulting in a lower heat transfer rate in the regulating section 2 than in the base section 1. This reduces the heat transfer efficiency from the heated portion of the base section 1 to the cold end of the base section 1, resulting in more consistent aerosol release during inhalation.
[0087] In one embodiment, referring to Figure 4 , the regulating section 2 includes 12 square first air channels 2a and 4 sector-shaped first air channels 2a, evenly distributed along the circumference. Heat transfer efficiency can be adjusted by adjusting the wall thickness H2 of the medium surrounding the first air channels 2a.
[0088] It should be understood that the wall thickness of the medium may refer to the wall thickness of the medium surrounding the first air channel 2a or the second air channel 1b.
[0089] In one embodiment, referring to Figures 4 and 5 , the base segment 1 includes an outer ring portion 11 and a central portion 12. The outer ring portion 11 surrounds the outer circumference of the central portion 12 to define a placement space. The wall thickness of the medium in the central portion 12 is 0.2 mm to 0.25 mm. Exemplarily, the wall thickness of the medium in the central portion 12 is 0.2 mm, 0.21 mm, 0.22 mm, 0.23 mm, 0.24 mm, or 0.25 mm, etc. Exemplarily, the medium in the adjustment segment 2 extends radially and connects the outer ring portion 11 and the central portion 12. Because the material used to form the aerosol-generating matrix 10 is a solid-liquid mixture and has viscosity, it is prone to adhesion to molds such as die plates. If the wall thickness of the medium in the central portion 12 is less than 0.2 mm or greater than 0.25 mm, the manufacturing process of the aerosol-generating matrix 10, such as the extrusion process, is complex, making it difficult to extrude the outer ring portion 11, the central portion 12, and the adjustment segment 2, resulting in a low yield rate.
[0090] In one embodiment, the total cross-sectional area of the medium in the base section 1 is greater than the total cross-sectional area of the medium in the adjustment section 2. Exemplarily, the base section 1 includes an outer ring portion 11 and a central portion 12. The outer ring portion 11 surrounds the outer circumference of the central portion 12 to define a placement space. The medium in the adjustment section 2 extends radially and connects the outer ring portion 11 and the central portion 12. The sum of the total cross-sectional area of the medium in the outer ring portion 11 and the total cross-sectional area of the medium in the central portion 12 is greater than the total cross-sectional area of the medium in the adjustment section 2.
[0091] In this embodiment, the heated area of the adjustment section 2 is smaller than the heated area of the base section 1, the medium of the adjustment section 2 used for heat conduction forms relatively fewer heat transfer channels, and the heat transfer rate of the adjustment section 2 is lower than the heat transfer rate of the base section 1, so that the heat transfer efficiency from the part of the base section 1 with the heating surface to the cold end part of the base section 1 is reduced, and the release consistency of the aerosol during the inhalation process is good.
[0092] In one embodiment, referring to Figure 5 , the regulating section 2 includes eight rectangular first air channels 2a and four sector-shaped first air channels 2a, which are evenly distributed along the circumference. By increasing the cross-sectional area of the first air channels 2a, the amount of medium surrounding the first air channels 2a is reduced. In other words, the number of heat conduction paths in the regulating section 2 is reduced, thereby reducing the total cross-sectional area of the medium in the regulating section 2.
[0093] In one embodiment, the mass of the base segment 1 is greater than that of the regulating segment 2. That is, the mass of the medium used for heat transfer in the regulating segment 2 is less than that of the medium in the base segment 1, and the heat transfer rate of the regulating segment 2 is lower than that of the base segment 1. This reduces the heat transfer efficiency from the heated portion of the base segment 1 to the cold end of the base segment 1, resulting in a more consistent aerosol release during puffing.
[0094] In one embodiment, the thermal conductivity of the adjustment section 2 is lower than that of the base section 1. Lower thermal conductivity means lower thermal efficiency. The relatively lower thermal conductivity of the adjustment section 2 results in a lower heat transfer rate than that of the base section 1. This reduces the heat transfer efficiency from the heated portion of the base section 1 to the cold end of the base section 1, resulting in more consistent aerosol release during inhalation.
[0095] In one embodiment, referring to Figures 1 to 3, and Figures 6 to 9, the base segment 1 surrounds the outer circumference of the adjustment segment 2, and the radial inner surface of the adjustment segment 2 is the heating surface or the radial outer surface of the base segment 1 is the heating surface. For example, in some embodiments, a mounting port is formed in the central area of the adjustment segment 2, and at least a portion of the heating element is located in the mounting port, and the circumferential surface of the mounting port is the radial inner surface of the adjustment segment 2, that is, the heating surface. In other embodiments, the radial outer surface of the base segment 1 is the heating surface. The heating element may be surrounded by the outer surface of the base segment 1. In other words, the heating element may be a cylindrical structure that is sleeved on the outer circumference of the base segment 1.
[0096] In one embodiment, referring to FIG1 , the base segment 1 is an annular structure, and the distance L between the two radial sides of the base segment 1 is 0.2 mm to 1 mm. For example, the distance L between the two radial sides of the base segment 1 is 0.2 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.7 mm, 0.9 mm or 1 mm, etc. On the one hand, heat is conducted radially through the base segment 1, and the distance L between the two radial sides of the base segment 1 is the above-mentioned size. The radial conduction path of heat is longer, which can effectively extend the conduction time of heat on the base segment 1, thereby reducing the heat transfer efficiency between the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2, and the release consistency of the aerosol during the inhalation process is good. On the other hand, the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 are both extruded, and the materials constituting the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 are solid-liquid mixtures with viscosity. The distance between the two radial sides of the base segment 1 is less than 0.2 mm or greater than 1 mm. The extrusion process is complicated, and the material easily adheres to the mold, such as the die, making it difficult to extrude and forming, and the yield rate is low.
[0097] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG1 , the base segment 1 lacks second air channels 1b. In other words, the number of second air channels 1b is zero. Both radial side surfaces of the base segment 1 are continuous. It should be understood that the base segment 1 may have micropores even without the second air channels 1b.
[0098] The base segment 1 is an annular structure, which can be a circular ring, an elliptical ring or a polygonal ring.
[0099] In one embodiment, referring to Figures 2 and 3 , the base segment 1 is formed with a partitioning groove 1a that radially extends through both radial side surfaces of the base segment 1. In other words, both radial side surfaces of the base segment 1 are discontinuous. The partitioning groove 1a reduces the total cross-sectional area of the base segment 1, thereby reducing the amount of heat received by the base segment 1 and thereby reducing the efficiency of heat transfer between the base segment 1 and the regulating segment 2. This results in more consistent aerosol release during inhalation.
[0100] In some embodiments, there may be one partitioning groove 1a. In other embodiments, there may be multiple partitioning grooves 1a, and the multiple partitioning grooves 1a are spaced apart along the circumference. For example, the multiple partitioning grooves 1a are evenly spaced apart along the circumference.
[0101] In one embodiment, as shown in Figure 9 , the thermal conductivity of base segment 1 is lower than that of adjustment segment 2. Base segment 1 surrounds the outer periphery of adjustment segment 2. The lower the thermal conductivity of base segment 1, the less heat it conducts per unit time, reducing the efficiency of heat transfer between base segment 1 and adjustment segment 2, resulting in more consistent aerosol release during puffing.
[0102] In one embodiment, referring to Figures 6 to 8 , an air space 10a is formed between the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2, isolating the two segments. Specifically, the base segment 1 is sleeved around the outer periphery of the adjustment segment 2, with the air space 10a formed between the radially inner circumference of the base segment 1 and the radially outer circumference of the adjustment segment 2. In other words, the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2 do not contact each other. Air is a poor conductor of heat, and the air space 10a isolates the base segment 1 and the adjustment segment 2, thereby reducing heat transfer efficiency between the two segments and ensuring consistent aerosol release during inhalation.
[0103] In other embodiments, referring to Figures 4, 5 and 9, the base section 1 is connected to the adjustment section 2. For example, the medium extending radially along the adjustment section 2 is connected to the base section 1.
[0104] In some embodiments, the functional section 20 may only include the filtering section 21 .
[0105] In other embodiments, as shown in Figures 10 and 11 , the functional section 20 further includes a cooling section 22, located between the filter section 21 and the aerosol-generating substrate 10. The cooling section 22 is configured to cool the aerosol before filtering by the filter section 21. This cooling section 22 can reduce the "burning mouth" phenomenon experienced by users when inhaling the aerosol.
[0106] The cooling material used in the cooling section 22 includes but is not limited to one or more combinations of PE (polyethylene), PLA (Polylactic Acid), PBAT (Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate), PP (Polypropylene), acetate fiber, acrylic fiber and the like.
[0107] The filter material used in the filter section 21 includes but is not limited to one or more combinations of PE (polyethylene), PLA (Polylactic Acid), PBAT (Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate), PP (Polypropylene), acetate fiber, acrylic fiber and the like.
[0108] The materials of the cooling section 22 and the filtering section 21 may be the same or different.
[0109] The aerosol-generating substrate 10 may be used for medical, cosmetic or other purposes.
[0110] In one embodiment, the aerosol-generating substrate 10 includes a plant material, an auxiliary material, a smoke-generating agent material, a binder material, and a flavor material.
[0111] The plant raw material is used to generate aerosol when heated. The auxiliary raw material is used to provide a skeleton support for the plant raw material. The smoke-generating agent raw material is used to generate a large amount of smoke when heated. The adhesive raw material is used to bond the component raw materials. The flavor raw material is used to provide a characteristic aroma. In this way, the plant raw material and the smoke-generating agent raw material can ensure the amount of aerosol generated, while the flavor raw material can enhance the release of aroma during the inhalation process and improve the user experience. The auxiliary raw material can not only improve the fluidity of the material, but also make the aerosol generating matrix 10 have a porous structure to facilitate the extraction and flow of the aerosol. The adhesive raw material ensures that the plant raw material powder and the auxiliary agent constitute a stable mixture to avoid a loose structure.
[0112] In one embodiment, the plant raw material is one or more combinations of crushed tobacco leaves, tobacco leaf fragments, tobacco stems, tobacco dust, and flavorful plants, resulting in powder. The plant raw material is the core source of flavor. Endogenous substances in the plant raw material can produce a physiological sense of satisfaction in the user. Endogenous substances, such as alkaloids, enter the human bloodstream and stimulate the pituitary gland to produce dopamine, thereby achieving a physiological sense of satisfaction.
[0113] In one embodiment, the auxiliary agent raw material can be one or more combinations of inorganic fillers, lubricants, and emulsifiers. Inorganic fillers include one or more combinations of heavy calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, zeolite, attapulgite, talc, and diatomaceous earth. Inorganic fillers can provide skeletal support for the plant material and also have micropores, which can increase the porosity of the aerosol-generating matrix 10, thereby improving the aerosol release rate.
[0114] Lubricants include one or more of candelilla wax, carnauba wax, shellac, sunflower wax, rice bran, beeswax, stearic acid, and palmitic acid. Lubricants can increase the fluidity of the plant material powder, reduce friction between the plant material powders, and make the overall density of the plant material powder distribution more uniform. They can also reduce the pressure required during the extrusion process and reduce die wear.
[0115] Emulsifiers include one or more combinations of polyglycerol fatty acid esters, Tween-80, and polyvinyl alcohol. Emulsifiers can, to a certain extent, slow down the loss of flavor substances during storage, increase the stability of flavor substances, and improve the sensory quality of the product.
[0116] In one embodiment, the smoke-generating agent raw material may include: a monohydric alcohol (such as menthol); a polyhydric alcohol (such as propylene glycol, glycerol, triethylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol and tetraethylene glycol); an ester of a polyhydric alcohol (such as triacetin, triethyl citrate, a mixture of diacetin esters, triethyl citrate, benzyl benzoate, tributyrin); a monocarboxylic acid; a dicarboxylic acid; a polycarboxylic acid (such as lauric acid, myristic acid) or an aliphatic ester of a polycarboxylic acid (such as dimethyl dodecanedioate, dimethyl tetradecanedioate, erythritol, 1,3-butylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, triethyl citrate, propylene carbonate, ethyl laurate, triactin, meso-erythritol, a mixture of diacetin esters, diethyl suberate, triethyl citrate, benzyl benzoate, benzyl phenylacetate, ethyl vanillate, tributyrin, lauryl acetate) or one or more combinations thereof.
[0117] In one embodiment, the binder material wets the interface of the component materials, resulting in close contact and intermolecular attraction, thereby bonding the component materials, such as powders and liquids. The binder material can be a natural plant extract, a non-ionically modified viscous polysaccharide, or a combination thereof, including tamarind polysaccharide, guar gum, and modified cellulose (e.g., carboxymethyl cellulose). The binder is used to bond the particles together, preventing them from loosening. Furthermore, it improves the water resistance of the aerosol-generating matrix 10 and is harmless to the human body.
[0118] In one embodiment, the flavoring raw materials are solid or liquid substances used to provide characteristic aromas, such as hay, roasted sweet, or nicotine. The flavoring raw materials may include one or more combinations of tobacco, aromatic plant extracts, extracts, essential oils, and absolutes. The flavoring raw materials may also include monomeric flavoring substances, such as one or more combinations of megastigmatrienone, neophytadiene, geraniol, and nerol.
