Abstract
Description
Communication control device, information processing device, communication control method, and information processing method
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a communication control device, an information processing device, a communication control method, and an information processing method.
[0002] The problem of the depletion of radio wave resources (radio resources) that can be allocated to wireless systems (wireless devices) has become apparent. Therefore, in recent years, "Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA)," which utilizes white space (vacant in time and space) among frequency bands already allocated to specific wireless systems, has rapidly attracted attention. In recent years, dynamic spectrum sharing for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) has been actively studied.
[0003] FCC, RM-11798, Wireless Telecommunications Bureau Seeks To Refresh The Record On Unmanned Aircraft Systems Use Of The 5GHz Band
[0004] Generally, in dynamic spectrum sharing, a communication control device is deployed to dynamically manage radio waves related to dynamic spectrum sharing. The communication control device grants permission to use the frequency band related to dynamic spectrum sharing to communication devices under its control. The communication devices communicate based on the permission from the communication control device.
[0005] However, with the current dynamic frequency sharing method, there is a possibility that radio wave resources will not be used effectively. For example, when a high-speed moving object such as an unmanned aerial vehicle is used as a communication device that uses radio waves, the relative speed difference between the high-speed moving object and other communication devices may become large. If the relative speed difference becomes large, there is a risk that interference with adjacent channels will increase due to frequency Doppler shift. If the interference becomes large, the communication device using that adjacent channel will be unable to communicate. This may result in the inability to use radio wave resources effectively.
[0006] Therefore, the present disclosure proposes a communication control device, an information processing device, a communication control method, and an information processing method that can realize effective use of radio wave resources.
[0007] It should be noted that the above problem or object is merely one of multiple problems or objects that can be solved or achieved by multiple embodiments disclosed in this specification.
[0008] In order to solve the above problems, one form of communication control device according to the present disclosure includes an acquisition unit that acquires information regarding the movement of a mobile communication device, a calculation unit that performs calculations regarding the Doppler shift of radio waves of at least one of a plurality of communication devices that includes the mobile communication device based on the information regarding the movement, and a determination unit that determines the use of radio waves of one or more of the plurality of communication devices based on the results of the calculation.

[0010] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the following embodiments, the same components are designated by the same reference numerals, and redundant description will be omitted.
[0011] In addition, in this specification and drawings, multiple components having substantially the same functional configuration may be distinguished by adding different numbers or letters to the same reference numeral. For example, multiple components having substantially the same functional configuration may be referred to as the communication control device 60 as needed. 1 , and 60 2 Furthermore, multiple components having substantially the same functional configuration are distinguished as communication systems 2A and 2B as necessary. However, when there is no particular need to distinguish between multiple components having substantially the same functional configuration, only the same reference numerals are used. For example, the communication control device 60 1 , and 60 2 When there is no need to particularly distinguish between the communication systems 2A and 2B, they will be simply referred to as the communication control device 60. When there is no need to particularly distinguish between the communication systems 2A and 2B, they will be simply referred to as the communication system 2.
[0012] <<1. Introduction>> In recent years, the wireless environment has become one in which a variety of wireless systems coexist, and the amount of content transmitted via wireless has increased and diversified. This has resulted in the problem of a depletion of radio wave resources (e.g., frequencies) that can be allocated to wireless systems. However, all radio wave bands are already in use by existing wireless systems, making it difficult to allocate new radio wave resources. Therefore, in recent years, more effective use of radio wave resources through the use of cognitive radio technology and other technologies has begun to attract attention.
[0013] Cognitive radio technology frees up radio wave resources by utilizing temporally and spatially available white space in existing wireless systems (e.g., dynamic spectrum access (DSA)). For example, in the United States, the Federal use band (3.55-3.70 GHz), which overlaps with the globally recognized 3GPP bands 42 and 43, is being opened to the general public. The legislation and standardization of the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), which utilizes frequency sharing technology, is accelerating. The Wireless Innovation Forum (WINNF) has formulated the CBRS standard. In recent years, the Automated Frequency Coordination System (AFC), standardized by the Wi-Fi Alliance, has also attracted attention as an example of dynamic spectrum sharing.
[0014] Cognitive radio technology not only enables dynamic spectrum sharing but also contributes to improving the frequency utilization efficiency of wireless systems. For example, ETSI EN 303 387 and IEEE 802.19.1-2014 specify coexistence technologies between wireless systems that use available radio waves.
[0015] <1-1. Control of Wireless Systems to Achieve Frequency Sharing> Hereinafter, frequency sharing will be briefly explained using CBRS as an example. In CBRS, for example, a regulatory authority (NRA: National Regulatory Authority) in each country or region is required to protect the wireless system (primary system) of a primary user (primary user) who has received a license or authorization for using a frequency band. For example, the NRA sets an acceptable interference standard value for the primary system, and the wireless system (secondary system) of a secondary user (secondary user) is required to keep the interference caused by sharing below the acceptable interference standard value.
[0016] In the following description, a "system" refers to a collection of multiple components (devices, modules (components), etc.). In this case, it does not matter whether all the components are in the same housing. For example, multiple devices housed in separate housings and connected via a network, etc., and a single device in which multiple modules are housed in a single housing are both "systems." In other words, wireless systems such as a primary system and a secondary system may each be composed of multiple devices, or may each be composed of a single device.
[0017] In order to achieve frequency sharing, a communication control device that manages communication of communication devices may be installed in a communication system. The communication control device (e.g., a frequency management database) controls communication of a secondary system so as not to cause fatal interference to a primary system. Here, the communication control device is a system for managing radio wave resources (e.g., frequencies) such as a geo-location database (GLDB), a spectrum access system (SAS), or an automated frequency coordination (AFC) system. In this embodiment, the communication control device corresponds to a communication control device 60, which will be described later. The communication control device 60 will be described in detail later.
[0018] Here, the primary system is, for example, a system (e.g., an existing system) that uses a predetermined frequency band preferentially over other systems. The secondary system is, for example, a system that secondarily uses the frequency band used by the primary system. The primary system and the secondary system may each be composed of multiple communication devices, or may be composed of a single communication device. The communication control device allocates an interference allowance to one or more communication devices so that the cumulative interference (interference aggregation) of one or more communication devices constituting the secondary system to the primary system does not exceed the interference allowance (also referred to as interference margin) of the primary system. In this case, the interference allowance may be an amount of interference predetermined by the operator of the primary system, a public institution that manages radio waves, or the like. In the following description, the term "interference margin" refers to the interference allowance. The cumulative interference may also be referred to as "cumulative interference power."
[0019] 1 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of allocation of interference margins to each communication device constituting a secondary system. In the example of FIG. 1, a communication system 1 is a primary system, and a communication system 2 is a secondary system. The communication system 1 is a communication device 10 1 The communication system 2 includes a communication device 30 1 , 30 2 , 30 3 etc. In the example of FIG. 1, the communication system 1 includes only one communication device 10, but the communication system 1 may include multiple communication devices 10. In the example of FIG. 1, the communication system 2 includes three communication devices 30, but the communication system 2 may include more or fewer communication devices 30 than three. The wireless communication device included in the communication system 2 does not necessarily have to be the communication device 30. For example, the communication system 2 may include a base station as a wireless communication device. In the example of FIG. 1, only one primary system (communication system 1 in the example of FIG. 1) and one secondary system (communication system 2 in the example of FIG. 1) are shown, but there may be multiple primary systems and multiple secondary systems.
[0020] communication device 10 1 , and communication device 30 1 , 30 2 , 30 3 are each capable of transmitting and receiving radio waves. 1 The amount of interference that can be tolerated by accept In addition, the communication device 30 1 , 30 2 , 30 3 The amount of interference that each of the communication systems 1 and 2 gives to a predetermined protection point of the communication system 1 (primary system) is expressed as the interference amount I 1 , I 2 , I 3 Here, the protection point is a reference point for calculating interference for protecting the communication system 1.
[0021] The communication control device calculates the cumulative interference (received interference amount I shown in FIG. 1) at a predetermined protection point of the communication system 1. 1 +I 2 +I 3 ) is the interference margin I accept The interference margin I accept For example, the communication control device allocates the amount of interference I 1 , I 2 , I 3 are I accept Each communication device 30 is assigned an interference margin I accept Alternatively, the communication control device allocates the amount of interference I 1 , I 2 , I 3 are I accept Each communication device 30 is assigned an interference margin I accept Of course, the method of allocating the interference margin is not limited to this example, and also includes a method of sequential allocation as will be described later.
[0022] Based on the allocated amount of interference (hereinafter referred to as the allocated interference amount), the communication control device calculates the maximum transmission power (hereinafter referred to as the maximum allowable transmission power) that is permitted for each communication device 30. For example, the communication control device calculates the maximum allowable transmission power for each communication device 30 by back-calculating from the allocated interference amount based on propagation loss, antenna gain, etc. Then, the communication control device notifies each communication device 30 of information on the calculated maximum allowable transmission power.
[0023] <1-2. Overview of this embodiment> In recent years, dynamic spectrum sharing for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) has been actively studied. In the United States, the 5030-5091 MHz band was primarily allocated for UAS CNPC (Control and Non-Payload Communications) use. Recently, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) issued a draft of a legal framework for the use of this band (e.g., Non-Patent Document 1: FCC, RM-11798).
[0024] As described above, in dynamic spectrum sharing, a communication control device is deployed to dynamically manage the use of frequency bands. The communication control device, for example, grants permission to use frequency bands related to dynamic spectrum sharing to communication devices under its control. The communication devices provide wireless communication services to users based on the permission from the communication control device.
[0025] In the above-mentioned example of WINNF, the communication control device is, for example, an SAS, and the communication device constituting the secondary system is, for example, a CBSD (Citizens Broadband Service Device). Also, in the above-mentioned example of Wi-Fi Alliance, the communication control device is, for example, an AFC system, and the communication device constituting the secondary system is, for example, an AFC device (Automated Frequency Coordination Device).
[0026] However, if the current dynamic spectrum sharing method remains unchanged, there is a possibility that radio wave resources will not be used effectively.
[0027] For example, consider a high-speed mobile communication system in which high-speed moving objects such as unmanned aerial vehicles use radio waves. In this high-speed mobile communication system, the interference power from a communication device (e.g., an airborne communication device such as an unmanned aerial vehicle) varies depending on four-dimensional parameters: latitude, longitude, altitude, and time. In order to improve the temporal and spatial frequency utilization efficiency in such a communication system, it is necessary to calculate the amount of interference in each communication device using the four-dimensional parameters: latitude, longitude, altitude, and time, and assign a frequency channel (hereinafter simply referred to as a channel) to each communication device based on the result.
[0028] However, in a high-speed mobile communication system, communication devices can move at high speeds, which can lead to large relative speed differences between communication devices. When the relative speed difference becomes large, there is a risk that interference with adjacent channels will increase due to frequency Doppler shift. If the interference becomes too great, communication devices using those adjacent channels will be unable to communicate. This could result in inefficient use of radio wave resources.
[0029] Therefore, in this embodiment, the above problem is solved by the following means.
[0030] FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining an overview of this embodiment. FIG. 2 shows the configuration of a communication system 2 of this embodiment. The communication system 2 is, for example, a secondary system. The communication system 2 includes a communication device 30 1 and the communication device 30 2 The communication system includes a base station 40, an information processing device 50, and a communication control device 60.
[0031] communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 is a flying type communication device. 1 and communication device 30 2 The information processing device 50 is a base station that wirelessly communicates with the communication device 30. 1 and communication device 30 2 The information processing device 50 is a device that manages or controls the communication device 30 directly without going through the base station 40. 1 and communication device 30 2The communication control device 60 is a device for dynamically managing the use of radio waves.
[0032] The communication control device 60 of this embodiment acquires information related to the movement of the communication device 30. For example, the communication control device 60 acquires the information related to the movement of the communication device 30 by 1 and communication device 30 2 and obtain information about at least one of the flight plans.
[0033] Then, the communication control device 60 performs calculations regarding the Doppler shift of the radio waves used by the communication device 30 (or the radio waves to be used) based on information regarding the movement of the communication device 30. For example, the communication control device 60 1 and communication device 30 2 The communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 For example, the communication control device 60 calculates the Doppler shift of at least one of the radio waves of the communication device 30. 1 The first communication device performs a calculation (hereinafter referred to as the first calculation) regarding the Doppler shift when using a first frequency band, and the second communication device performs a calculation (hereinafter referred to as the second calculation) regarding the Doppler shift when using a second frequency band adjacent to the first frequency band.
[0034] Based on the calculation result, the communication control device 60 determines whether the communication device 30 will use radio waves (for example, whether to allocate a predetermined frequency band to the communication device 30). 1 or communication device 30 2 For example, the communication control device 60 determines whether the communication device 30 should use the frequency band related to the dynamic frequency sharing based on the result of the first calculation. 1 When the communication device 30 uses the first frequency band, 1 The communication control device 60 determines whether the interference leakage power that the communication device 30 causes to the second frequency band is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value based on the result of the second calculation. 2 When the communication device 30 uses the second frequency band, 2The communication control device 60 then determines whether the interference leakage power that the communication device 30 causes to the first frequency band is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value. 1 a determination result as to whether or not the interference leakage power given to the second frequency band by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value; 2 and determining whether the interference leakage power given to the first frequency band by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value. 2 A determination is made regarding the use of the second frequency band by the
[0035] Then, the communication control device 60 transmits information based on the determination result to the information processing device 50. For example, the communication control device 60 may transmit information based on the determination result to the information processing device 50. 2 For example, the communication control device 60 transmits information based on the determination result regarding the use of the second frequency band by the communication device 30 to the information processing device 50. 2 transmits information indicating whether the second frequency band is available for use.
[0036] The information processing device 50 performs processing related to communication settings of the communication device 30 based on the received information. 2 If the second frequency band is available to the communication device 30, 2 The second frequency band is set to be used by the second mobile station.
[0037] According to this embodiment, the communication control device 60 makes decisions regarding frequency use (e.g., decisions regarding frequency channel allocation) taking Doppler shift into consideration. This makes it possible to suppress interference due to Doppler shift even in an environment where the communication device 30 is moving at high speed. As a result, more precise frequency sharing can be achieved, thereby realizing effective use of radio wave resources.
[0038] <1-3. Terminology Related to Frequencies and Sharing> The outline of this embodiment has been described above, but before going into a detailed description of this embodiment, the terms related to frequencies and sharing used in this embodiment will be summarized.
[0039] In this embodiment, the primary system (e.g., communication system 1) and the secondary system (e.g., communication system 2) are assumed to be in a dynamic spectrum access (DSA) environment. Hereinafter, terms related to frequencies and sharing will be explained using the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States, as an example. The communication system 1000 of this embodiment is not limited to a CBRS-related system. For example, the communication system 1 and the communication system 2 may be systems related to the AFC system defined by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Of course, the communication system 1000 may be a system other than a CBRS or AFC system.
[0040] Dynamic spectrum sharing will be described below using CBRS as an example. FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram showing the hierarchical structure in CBRS. As shown in FIG. 3, each user of a shared frequency band is classified into one of three groups. These groups are called "tiers." The three groups are called the incumbent tier, the priority access tier, and the general authorized access tier, respectively. In the example of FIG. 3, the priority access tier is located above the general authorized access tier, and the incumbent tier is located above the priority access tier. Taking CBRS as an example, for example, a system located in the incumbent tier (incumbent system) is the primary system, and systems located in the general authorized access tier and the priority access tier are secondary systems.
[0041] The Incumbent Tier is a group of incumbent users who have traditionally used a frequency band designated as a shared frequency band. Incumbent users are sometimes called primary users. Under CBRS, the Department of Defense (DOD), fixed satellite operators, and Grandfathered Wireless Broadband Licensees (GWBLs) are designated as incumbent users. The Incumbent Tier is not required to avoid or suppress interference with the Priority Access Tier and General Authorized Access Tier (GAA Tier), which have lower priority. Furthermore, the Incumbent Tier is protected from interference by the Priority Access Tier and General Authorized Access Tier (GAA Tier). In other words, users of the Incumbent Tier can use the frequency band without considering the presence of other groups.
[0042] The Priority Access Tier is a group of users who use the above-mentioned shared frequency band based on a license called a Priority Access License (PAL). Users who use the above-mentioned shared frequency band are sometimes called secondary users. In frequency sharing in the Priority Access Tier, interference avoidance or suppression to an incumbent tier having a higher priority than the Priority Access Tier is required, but interference avoidance or suppression to a general authorized access tier (GAA Tier) having a lower priority is not required. In addition, the Priority Access Tier is not protected from interference by an incumbent tier having a higher priority, but is protected from interference by a general authorized access tier (GAA Tier) having a lower priority.
[0043] The General Authorized Access Tier (GAA Tier) is a group consisting of users other than those in the Incumbent Tier and Priority Access Tier. Users in this tier are also sometimes called secondary users. However, because this tier has a lower priority for shared use than the Priority Access Tier, it is also sometimes called low-priority secondary users. Spectrum sharing in the General Authorized Access Tier requires avoidance or suppression of interference with the Incumbent Tier and Priority Access Tier, which have higher priority. Furthermore, the General Authorized Access Tier is not protected from interference by the Incumbent Tier and Priority Access Tier, which have higher priority. In other words, the General Authorized Access Tier (GAA Tier) is a "tier" that legally requires opportunistic spectrum sharing.
[0044] Note that the hierarchical structure is not limited to these definitions. CBRS is generally called a 3-tier structure, but it may also be a 2-tier structure. Typical examples include 2-tier structures such as LSA (Licensed Shared Access) and TVWS (TV band White Space). LSA employs a structure equivalent to a combination of an incumbent tier and a priority access tier. TVWS employs a structure equivalent to a combination of an incumbent tier and a general authorized access tier (GAA tier). Four or more tiers may also exist. Specifically, for example, an intermediate tier equivalent to the priority access tier may be further prioritized. For example, the general authorized access tier (GAA tier) may also be prioritized in a similar manner.
[0045] FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the CBRS band. Taking the above-mentioned CBRS as an example, the primary system is a military radar system, a grandfathered wireless system, or a fixed satellite service (space-to-earth). Here, the military radar system is typically a shipboard radar. The secondary system is a wireless network system consisting of base stations and terminals called Citizens Broadband Radio Service Devices (CBSDs) and End User Devices (EUDs). The secondary system further has a priority level, which is defined as a priority access license (PAL) that allows licensed use of the shared band, and general authorized access (GAA), which is equivalent to unlicensed access. Tier 1 shown in FIG. 4 corresponds to the existing layer shown in FIG. 3. Tier 2 shown in FIG. 4 corresponds to the priority access layer shown in FIG. 3. Also, Tier 3 shown in FIG. 4 corresponds to the general authorized access layer shown in FIG.
[0046] The primary system and the secondary system are not limited to the above examples. For example, a wireless system included in the Priority Access Tier may be considered as the primary system, and a system included in the General Authorized Access Tier (GAA Tier) may be considered as the secondary system.
[0047] Furthermore, the primary system (communication system 1) of this embodiment is not limited to the example shown in FIG. 4 . Other types of wireless systems may be used as the primary system (communication system 1). Examples of primary systems include wireless systems such as TV broadcasting, fixed microwave links (FS: Fixed System), meteorological radar, radio altimeter, communications-based train control, and radio astronomy. Alternatively, the primary system may be a television broadcasting system such as a DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial) system, or a cellular communication system such as LTE (Long Term Evolution), NR (New Radio), or 6G. Furthermore, the primary system may be an aviation wireless system such as ARNS (Aeronautical Radio Navigation Service). Of course, the primary system is not limited to the above wireless systems and may be other types of wireless systems. Other wireless systems may be used as the primary system depending on the country, region, and frequency band to which the system is applied.
[0048] Furthermore, the white space used by the communication system 2 is not limited to radio waves in the federal use band (3.55-3.70 GHz). The communication system 2 may use radio waves in a frequency band other than the federal use band (3.55-3.70 GHz) as the white space. For example, if the primary system (communication system 1) is a television broadcasting system, the communication system 2 may be a system that uses TV white space as the white space. Here, TV white space refers to a frequency band that is not used by a television broadcasting system (primary system) among frequency channels assigned to the television broadcasting system. In this case, the TV white space may be a channel that is not used depending on the region.
[0049] Furthermore, the relationship between the communication systems 1 and 2 is not limited to a frequency sharing relationship in which the communication system 1 is the primary system and the communication system 2 is the secondary system. The relationship between the communication systems 1 and 2 may be a network coexistence relationship between the same or different wireless systems using the same frequency.
[0050] Furthermore, application of this embodiment is not limited to a frequency-sharing environment. Generally, in frequency sharing or secondary frequency usage, an existing system using a target band is called a primary system, and a system of a secondary user is called a secondary system. However, when this embodiment is applied to a non-frequency-sharing environment, these (primary system, secondary system) may be replaced with other terms for "system." For example, the primary system and the secondary system do not necessarily need to be distinguished based on priority. Also, for example, a macrocell base station in a heterogeneous network (HetNet) may be called a primary system, and a small cell or relay station may be called a secondary system. Also, a base station may be called a primary system, and Relay UEs or Vehicle UEs that realize D2D (Device to Device) or V2X (Vehicle to Everything) within its coverage may be called secondary systems. The base station is not limited to a fixed type, and may be a portable / mobile type. In such a case, for example, the communication control device provided by the present invention may be provided in a core network, a base station, a relay station, a Relay UE, etc.
[0051] The term "frequency" used in the following description may be replaced with another term. For example, the term "frequency" may be replaced with terms such as "resource," "resource block," "resource element," "resource pool," "channel," "component carrier," "Bandwidth Part (BWP)," "carrier," "subcarrier," "BWP (Bandwidth Part)," "beam," or terms having equivalent or similar meanings.
[0052] <<2. Configuration of Communication System>> Terminology relating to frequencies and sharing has been explained above, and the communication system 1000 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure will now be described in detail.
[0053] 5 is a diagram showing an example of the configuration of a communication system 1000. The communication system 1000 includes a communication system 1 and a communication system 2. The communication system 1 (first wireless system) is, for example, a wireless communication system that performs wireless communication by using a predetermined frequency band (primary use). The communication system 2 (second wireless system) is, for example, a wireless communication system that performs wireless communication by using a frequency band used by the communication system 1 secondary. For example, the communication system 2 is a wireless communication system that shares the radio waves used by the communication system 1. The communication system 2 provides wireless services to users or devices owned by the users using a predetermined radio access technology.
[0054] Note that the communication system 1000 of the present embodiment is not limited to a system related to CBRS. For example, the communication system 1000 may be a system related to the AFC system defined by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Of course, the communication system 1000 may be a system other than the CBRS and AFC systems. Furthermore, the communication system 1000 does not necessarily include the communication system 1 (primary system). In this case, the frequency band used by the communication system 2 (the frequency band related to dynamic frequency sharing) does not have to be the frequency band primarily allocated to the communication system 1 (primary system). For example, the frequency band used by the communication system 2 (the frequency band related to dynamic frequency sharing) may be the frequency band primarily allocated to the communication system 2. For example, suppose the communication system 2 is a high-speed moving body system (e.g., an unmanned aerial vehicle system). In this case, the frequency band used by the communication system 2 (the frequency band related to dynamic frequency sharing) may be the frequency band primarily allocated to the high-speed moving body system.
[0055] Here, the communication systems 1 and 2 may be wireless communication systems such as W-CDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access), cdma2000 (Code Division Multiple Access 2000), LTE, NR, 6G, etc. LTE and NR are types of cellular communication technologies that enable mobile communication for terminal devices by arranging multiple areas covered by base stations (e.g., eNB (eNodeB), gNB (gNodeB), or RAN nodes (including EUTRAN and NGRAN)) in the form of cells. In recent years, 6G has also been studied. 6G, as a type of cellular communication technology, may potentially become a technology that enables mobile communication for terminal devices by arranging multiple areas covered by base stations in the form of cells. A single base station may manage multiple cells.
[0056] In the following description, "LTE" includes LTE-A (LTE-Advanced), LTE-A Pro (LTE-Advanced Pro), and EUTRA (Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access). NR includes NRAT (New Radio Access Technology) and FEUTRA (Further EUTRA). A single base station may manage multiple cells. In the following description, a cell corresponding to LTE is referred to as an LTE cell, and a cell corresponding to NR is referred to as an NR cell.
[0057] NR is a next-generation radio access method for LTE and is a different RAT (Radio Access Technology) from LTE. NR is a radio access technology that can support various use cases, including eMBB (Enhanced Mobile Broadband), mMTC (Massive Machine Type Communications), and URLLC (Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communications). NR can implement a technical framework that supports the usage scenarios, requirements, and deployment scenarios of these use cases.
[0058] 6G is the next generation of cellular communication technology after NR and 5GS (5G System), which are fifth-generation mobile communications. 6G includes radio access technology and network technology between base stations, core networks, and data networks. 6G will enhance eMBB, mMTC, and URLLC, which were major use cases or requirements of NR. Technologies provided by 6G may include AI technologies (e.g., cognitive network, AI native air interface), sensing technologies (e.g., radar sensing, network as a sensor), and terahertz communication technologies.
[0059] Note that the communication systems 1 and 2 are not limited to cellular communication systems, and may be other wireless communication systems such as a wireless local area network (LAN) system, a television broadcasting system, an aviation wireless communication system, or a space wireless communication system.
[0060] In this embodiment, the communication system 1 is a primary system, and the communication system 2 is a secondary system. As described above, there may be a plurality of communication systems 1 and a plurality of communication systems 2. In the example of FIG. 1, the communication system 1 is configured by one communication device 10 (the communication device 10 shown in FIG. 1), but it may also be configured by a plurality of communication devices 10. The configuration of the communication device 10 may be the same as or different from the configuration of a communication device 30 or a base station 40 described later.
[0061] 6 is a diagram showing an example of the configuration of a communication system 2 (second wireless system). The communication system 2 includes a mobile communication device, a mobile management device, and a frequency management system.
[0062] (Mobile Communication Device) A mobile communication device is a moving body capable of performing wireless communication while moving. For example, a mobile communication device is an air vehicle (airborne communication device) capable of performing wireless communication while flying. For example, a specific example of an airborne communication device is an air vehicle provided in a UAS. The airborne communication device flies based on, for example, a flight plan approved by a traffic management system and radio parameters approved by a frequency management system.
[0063] (Mobile Management Device) The mobile management device is, for example, a management device / control device provided by a business operator (or user) who operates a mobile communication device that has been authenticated. The mobile management device performs, for example, the following processes (1) to (3).
[0064] (1) The mobile management device transmits the operation plan of the mobile communication device it manages to the frequency management system before starting operation. Note that the mobile management device may apply for multiple operation plans at once. (2) The mobile management device sets the radio parameters of the mobile communication device it manages based on the radio parameters approved by the frequency management system, and operates the device. (3) If the mobile management device does not obtain operation permission for the operation plan it has applied for, it may change the operation plan information and apply for operation again.
[0065] (Frequency Management System) The frequency management system is an entity that allocates frequency channels to mobile communication devices. The frequency management system of this embodiment includes, for example, a communication unit, a control unit, and a storage unit. The communication unit receives information from the mobile management device and transmits information to the mobile management device. The control unit calculates Doppler shift based on the information stored in the storage unit and determines the frequency channel to be allocated to the mobile communication device. The storage unit records information acquired in advance for the determination made by the control unit, information acquired from the mobile management device, and information determined by the control unit.
[0066] <2-1. Specific Configuration Example of Communication System> A specific configuration example of the communication system 1000 will now be described.
[0067] The communication system 1000 typically includes the following entities: a communication device (e.g., a mobile communication device, a base station); an information processing device (e.g., a mobile management device); and a communication control device (e.g., a frequency management system).
[0068] In the following description, the entities that become communication devices are the communication device 10, the communication device 30, and the base station 40. However, the entities that become communication devices are not limited to these devices. For example, the entities that become communication devices may be the management device 20, the information processing device 50, or the communication control device 60.
[0069] In this embodiment, unless otherwise specified, the communication device 30 and the base station 40 are entities that constitute a secondary system that shares part or all of the frequency band allocated to the primary system. The communication devices that constitute the secondary system may be communication devices (Type A) that can access the communication control device 60 without using a wireless path with permission from the communication control device 60. Also, the communication devices that constitute the secondary system may be communication devices (Type B) that cannot access the communication control device 60 without a wireless path with permission from the communication control device 60.
[0070] The communication device does not necessarily have to be fixed and may be installed on a moving object such as a car. Furthermore, the communication device does not necessarily have to be located on the ground. It may be equipped with communication device functions on objects in the air or space, such as aircraft, drones, helicopters, and satellites, or on or underwater objects, such as ships and submarines. Typically, such mobile communication devices fall under the category of communication devices (Type B) and secure an access path to a communication control device by wirelessly communicating with other communication devices (Type A). Naturally, even a mobile communication device can be treated as a communication device (Type A) if the frequency used for wireless communication with the communication device (Type A) is not managed by the communication control device.
[0071] 7 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of a communication system 1000 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As described above, the communication system 1000 includes a communication system 1 and a communication system 2. Note that the devices in the diagram can also be considered devices in a logical sense. In other words, some of the devices in the diagram may be realized by a virtual machine (VM), a container, a Docker, or the like, and these may be physically implemented on the same hardware.
[0072] The communication system 1 includes a communication device 10 and a management device 20. In the example of FIG. 1 , 10 2 and a management device 20 that manages them. Note that the communication system 1 does not necessarily have to include the management device 20. Also, the communication system 1 may include a plurality of communication devices 10, or may include only one communication device 10. In the example of FIG. 7, 1 , 10 2 Each of them can be considered as one communication system 1 .
[0073] The communication system 2 includes a communication device 30, a base station 40, an information processing device 50, and a communication control device 60. In the example of Fig. 7, the communication system 1000 includes, as the communication systems 2, a communication system 2A and a communication system 2B.
[0074] The communication system 2A includes a communication device 30 1 ~30 3 and base station 40 1 ~40 2 and the information processing device 50 1 and the communication control device 60 1 The communication system 2B includes a communication device 30 4 ~30 6 and base station 40 3 ~40 5 and the information processing device 50 2 and the communication control device 60 2 And, it is equipped with.
[0075] The communication system 2 does not necessarily have to include the communication control device 60. A communication system having an external communication control device 60 may be regarded as one communication system 2. The communication system 2 may also include an intermediate device.
[0076] Here, the intermediate device is a device that communicates with the communication control device 60 on behalf of (represents) one or more communication devices (e.g., communication device 30 and / or base station 40). For example, the intermediate device is a proxy device (proxy system). The intermediate device is also a type of communication device. The intermediate device is also a type of information processing device. Here, the intermediate device may be a DP (Domain Proxy). Here, the DP refers to an entity that communicates with a communication control device such as an SAS on behalf of each of multiple CBSDs, or an entity that communicates with a communication control device such as an SAS on behalf of a network composed of multiple CBSDs. Note that the intermediate device is not limited to a DP as long as it has the function of communicating with the communication control device 60 on behalf of (represents) one or more communication devices. For example, a network manager that performs integrated control of base stations 40 in a network may be considered as an intermediate device. The intermediate device may also be a device called an AFC (Automated Frequency Coordination) device.
[0077] The communication systems 1 and 2 provide wireless services to users or devices owned by the users by the cooperation of the devices (e.g., communication devices such as wireless communication devices) that make up the communication systems 1 and 2. A wireless communication device is a device that has a wireless communication function. In the example of Fig. 7, the communication device 10, the communication device 30, and the base station 40 correspond to the wireless communication devices.
[0078] The information processing device 50 and the communication control device 60 may have a wireless communication function. In this case, the information processing device 50 and the communication control device 60 can also be considered as wireless communication devices. In the following description, a wireless communication device may be simply referred to as a communication device. Note that the communication device is not limited to a wireless communication device; for example, a device that does not have a wireless communication function and is only capable of wired communication can also be considered as a communication device.
[0079] In this embodiment, the concept of a "communication device" includes not only portable devices such as mobile terminals, but also devices installed in structures or mobile bodies. The structures or mobile bodies themselves may be considered communication devices. The concept of a communication device also includes not only terminal devices, but also base stations and relay devices. A communication device is a type of processing device and information processing device. The term "communication device" used in the following description can be appropriately replaced with "transmitting device" or "receiving device." In this embodiment, the concept of "communication" includes "broadcasting." In this case, the term "communication device" can be appropriately replaced with "broadcasting device." Of course, the term "communication device" can also be appropriately replaced with "transmitting device" or "receiving device."
[0080] In the following description, the wireless communication device may be referred to as a wireless system. For example, the communication device 30 1 ~30 6 are each a wireless system. 1 ~40 5are each one wireless system. In the following description, the communication system 1 is referred to as a first wireless system, but one or more wireless systems (e.g., communication device 10) included in the communication system 1 may each be considered as a first wireless system. In the following description, one or more wireless systems (e.g., communication device 30 or base station 40) included in the communication system 2 are referred to as a second wireless system, but the communication system 2 itself may also be considered as a second wireless system. If the information processing device 50 and the communication control device 60 have a wireless communication function, each of the information processing device 50 or each of the communication control device 60 may also be considered as a second wireless system.
[0081] The wireless system may be a single system configured with multiple communication devices including at least one wireless communication device. For example, a system configured with one or multiple base stations 40 and one or multiple communication devices 30 under their control may be considered a single wireless system. Communication system 1 and communication system 2 may also each be considered a single wireless system. In the following description, a communication system configured with multiple communication devices including at least one wireless communication device may be referred to as a wireless communication system or simply as a communication system. A system configured with multiple communication devices including one wireless communication device may be considered a first wireless system or a second wireless system.
[0082] In this embodiment, a system refers to a collection of multiple components (devices, modules (components), etc.). In this case, all of the components that make up the system may or may not be in the same housing. For example, multiple devices housed in separate housings and connected via wires and / or wirelessly are one system. Also, one device in which multiple modules are housed in one housing is one system.
[0083] In the example of Fig. 7, only one communication control device 60 exists in each of the two communication systems 2 (communication systems 2A and 2B). However, multiple communication control devices 60 may exist in one communication system 2. When multiple communication control devices exist, at least one of the following three types of decision-making topologies may be applied to the communication control devices 60: Autonomous decision-making Centralized decision-making Distributed decision-making
[0084] Autonomous decision-making is a decision-making topology in which a decision-making entity (decision-making entity, in this case, a communication control device) makes decisions independently of other decision-making entities. The communication control device independently performs the necessary frequency allocation and calculations for interference control. Fig. 8 is a diagram showing a model in which communication control devices 60 are distributedly arranged. Autonomous decision-making can be applied, for example, to a case in which a plurality of communication control devices 60 are distributedly arranged as shown in Fig. 8. In this case, a plurality of communication control devices 60 (in the example of Fig. 8, communication control devices 60 3 and communication control device 60 4 ) exchange information about the base stations 40 they manage, and perform calculations for the necessary frequency allocation and interference control.
[0085] Centralized decision-making is a decision-making topology in which a decision-making entity delegates decision-making to another decision-making entity. Fig. 9 is a diagram showing a model (a so-called master-slave model) in which one communication control device centrally controls multiple communication control devices. When medium-scale decision-making is performed, for example, a model like that shown in Fig. 9 is assumed. In the example of Fig. 9, a communication control device 60 5 is the master communication control device, and the communication control device 60 6 , 60 7In such a system, the master communication control device controls multiple slave communication control devices and can make decisions centrally. The master communication control device can also delegate or revoke decision-making authority to each slave communication control device for purposes such as load balancing.
[0086] Distributed decision-making is a decision-making topology in which a decision-making entity cooperates with other decision-making entities to make decisions. For example, when multiple communication control devices are arranged as shown in Figure 8, mutual adjustment and negotiation of the decision-making results after each device makes a decision can be considered "distributed decision-making." Also, for example, in a model such as Figure 9, the master communication control device dynamically delegates or revokes decision-making authority to each slave communication control device for the purpose of load balancing, etc., can also be considered "distributed decision-making."
[0087] In a scenario in which centralized decision-making and distributed decision-making are applied, an implementation such as that shown in Fig. 10 is also possible as a modified example. Fig. 10 is a diagram showing another example of an arrangement model of the communication control device 60. In the example of Fig. 10, the master communication control device exists externally, and a communication device (for example, a base station 40) or an intermediate device that bundles multiple communication devices acts as a slave communication control device.
[0088] The configuration of each device included in communication system 1000 will be specifically described below.
[0089] 2-2. Configuration of the Communication Device First, the configuration of the communication device 10 included in the communication system 1 will be described.
[0090] The communication device 10 is a communication device (wireless system) that primarily uses a predetermined frequency band. For example, the communication device 10 is a wireless communication device that constitutes a communication system 1 (primary system). The communication device 10 is a type of information processing device. The communication device 10 may be a radio wave emitting device or a reflected wave receiving device such as a radar. As described above, the primary system is, for example, a military radar system, an existing system (for example, a television broadcasting system or an existing cellular communication system), or a system for fixed satellite services. The communication device 10 does not necessarily have wireless communication functionality as long as it uses radio waves. In this case, the communication device 10 can be rephrased as, for example, a radio wave utilizing device 10.
[0091] If the communication system 1 is a military radar system, the communication device 10 is, for example, a shipboard radar. If the communication system 1 is a television broadcasting system, the communication device 10 is, for example, a broadcasting station (broadcasting station as equipment) such as a broadcast relay station. If the communication system 1 is a system for fixed satellite services, the communication device 10 is, for example, a parabolic antenna that receives radio waves from an artificial satellite. Of course, the communication device 10 is not limited to these. For example, if the communication system 1 is an existing cellular communication system, the communication device 10 may be a base station.
[0092] The communication device 10 may be capable of communicating with other communication devices using a wireless access technology, similar to the base station 40 described below. In this case, the wireless access technology used by the communication device 10 may be cellular communication technology or wireless LAN technology. Of course, the wireless access technology used by the base station 40 is not limited to these and may be other wireless access technologies. For example, the wireless access technology used by the communication device 10 may be low power wide area (LPWA) communication technology. Here, LPWA communication refers to communication conforming to the LPWA standard. Examples of LPWA standards include ELTRES, ZETA, SIGFOX, LoRaWAN, and NB-IoT. Of course, the LPWA standard is not limited to these and may be other LPWA standards. Alternatively, the wireless communication used by the communication device 10 may be wireless communication using millimeter waves. Furthermore, the wireless communication used by the communication device 10 may be wireless communication using radio waves or wireless communication using infrared or visible light (optical wireless).
[0093] In addition, the configuration of the communication device 10 may be similar to that of a communication device 30 or a base station 40 described later.
[0094] Fig. 11 is a diagram illustrating an example configuration of a communication device 10 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The communication device 10 includes a processing unit 11, a storage unit 12, and a control unit 13. Note that the configuration illustrated in Fig. 11 is a functional configuration, and the hardware configuration may be different from this. Furthermore, the functions of the communication device 10 may be distributed and implemented in multiple physically separated configurations.
[0095] The processing unit 11 is a processing unit for utilizing radio waves in a predetermined frequency band. For example, the processing unit 11 is a signal processing unit that performs various processes for outputting and receiving radio waves in a predetermined frequency band. If the communication device 10 is a wireless communication device, the processing unit 11 may be a wireless communication interface that performs wireless communication with another communication device. Here, the other communication device includes not only a communication device that performs cellular communication or the like, but also a transmitting device that transmits broadcast waves such as television broadcasts and a receiving device that receives broadcast waves.
[0096] The storage unit 12 is a storage device that can read and write data, such as a dynamic random access memory (DRAM), a static random access memory (SRAM), a flash memory, or a hard disk.
[0097] The control unit 13 is a controller that controls each unit of the communication device 10. The control unit 13 is realized by a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) or an MPU (Micro Processing Unit). For example, the control unit 13 is realized by the processor executing various programs stored in a storage device inside the communication device 10 using a RAM (Random Access Memory) or the like as a working area. The control unit 13 may also be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) or an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). The CPU, MPU, ASIC, and FPGA can all be considered as controllers.
[0098] The communication device 10 may have the functions of the management device 20. In this case, the control unit 13 may include each functional block included in the control unit of the management device 20.
[0099] 2-3. Configuration of Management Device Next, the configuration of the management device 20 included in the communication system 1 will be described.
[0100] The management device 20 is a device that manages the communication devices 10. For example, the management device 20 is a server or database owned by an operator or manager of the communication system 1. The management device 20 may be a device that manages the radio wave output of the communication devices 10, or may be a device that manages information such as the installation state of the communication devices 10 and the management entity. The management device 20 is a type of information processing device.
[0101] The management device 20 may be a server or database owned by a public institution. For example, the management device 20 may be a database (e.g., a regulatory database) managed and operated by a national or regional radio regulatory agency. An example of a regulatory database is the Universal Licensing System (ULS) operated by the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC).
[0102] Furthermore, when the communication system 1 is an existing cellular communication system, the management device 20 may be a device that manages a wireless network. For example, the management device 20 may be a device that functions as an MME (Mobility Management Entity), an AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function), or an SMF (Session Management Function).
[0103] When the communication system 2 configures a network in which the communication device 10 is one of the nodes, the management device 20 may be, for example, a network manager that performs integrated control of the communication devices 10 within the network.
[0104] Of course, the management device 20 is not limited to these examples. The functions of the management device 20 may be provided in the communication device 10. In this case, the communication device 10 can be considered as the management device 20.
[0105] Furthermore, the management device 20 may have the function of a communication control device. In this case, the management device 20 can be regarded as the communication control device 60.
[0106] 12 is a diagram illustrating an example configuration of the management device 20 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The management device 20 includes a communication unit 21, a storage unit 22, and a control unit 23. Note that the configuration illustrated in FIG. 2 is a functional configuration, and the hardware configuration may be different from this. Furthermore, the functions of the management device 20 may be distributed and implemented across multiple physically separated components.
[0107] The communication unit 21 is a communication interface for communicating with other devices. The communication unit 21 may be a network interface or a device connection interface. For example, the communication unit 21 may be a LAN (Local Area Network) interface such as a NIC (Network Interface Card), or a USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface configured with a USB host controller, a USB port, etc. The communication unit 21 may be a wired interface or a wireless interface. The communication unit 21 functions as a communication means of the management device 20. The communication unit 21 communicates with the communication device 10 under the control of the control unit 23.
[0108] The storage unit 22 is a storage device that can read and write data, such as a DRAM, an SRAM, a flash memory, or a hard disk.
[0109] The control unit 23 is a controller that controls each unit of the management device 20. The control unit 23 is realized by a processor such as a CPU or an MPU. For example, the control unit 23 is realized by a processor executing various programs stored in a storage device inside the management device 20 using RAM or the like as a work area. The control unit 23 may also be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC or an FPGA. A CPU, an MPU, an ASIC, and an FPGA can all be considered as controllers.
[0110] As described above, the communication device 10 can be considered as the management device 20. In this case, the description of "management device 20" that appears in the following description can be replaced with "communication device 10" as appropriate.
[0111] 2-4. Configuration of the Communication Device Next, the configuration of the communication device 30 included in the communication system 2 will be described.
[0112] The communication device 30 is a communication device (wireless system) that performs wireless communication with the base station 40, the communication control device 60, or another communication device 30. The communication device 30 is a type of information processing device.
[0113] The communication device 30 of this embodiment is typically a mobile communication device. The mobile communication device is a wireless communication device that can be moved (i.e., a portable / mobile wireless communication device). For example, the mobile communication device is a communication device that can fly (a flying communication device). Alternatively, the mobile communication device is a communication device that can travel on the ground (a traveling communication device). In the following description, not only mobile wireless communication devices but also portable wireless communication devices are referred to as mobile communication devices.
[0114] In addition, when the communication device 30 is a mobile communication device, the communication device 30 may be a wireless communication device installed in a mobile object, or may be the mobile object itself. The communication device 30 may be a vehicle that moves on a road, such as an automobile, bus, truck, or motorcycle, or may be a wireless communication device mounted on the vehicle. The mobile object may be a mobile terminal, or may be a mobile object that moves on land (ground in the narrow sense), underground, on water, or underwater. The mobile object may be a mobile object that moves within the atmosphere, such as an airplane, airship, balloon, or helicopter, or may be a mobile object that moves outside the atmosphere, such as an artificial satellite. The mobile object may be a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) such as a drone. The communication device 30 may also be a wireless communication device mounted on the mobile object.
[0115] The communication device 30 may be any other non-terrestrial communication device (non-terrestrial station). The non-terrestrial communication device is a communication device that can float in the air or space. In this case, the communication device 30 may be an aircraft station or a satellite station.
[0116] An aircraft station is a wireless communication device capable of floating in the atmosphere of an aircraft or the like. The aircraft station may be a device mounted on the aircraft or the like, or may be the aircraft itself. The concept of aircraft includes not only heavier-than-air vehicles such as airplanes and gliders, but also lighter-than-air vehicles such as balloons and airships. The concept of aircraft includes not only heavier-than-air vehicles or lighter-than-air vehicles, but also rotorcraft such as helicopters and autogyros. The aircraft station, or an aircraft equipped with an aircraft station, may be an unmanned aerial vehicle such as a drone.
[0117] The concept of unmanned aerial vehicles also includes unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and tethered unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The concept of unmanned aerial vehicles also includes lighter than air UAS (LTA) and heavier than air UAS (HTA). The concept of unmanned aerial vehicles also includes high altitude unmanned aerial system platforms (HAPs).
[0118] A satellite station is a satellite station capable of floating outside the atmosphere. The satellite station may be a device mounted on a space vehicle such as an artificial satellite, or may be the space vehicle itself. A space vehicle is a vehicle that moves outside the atmosphere. Examples of space vehicles include artificial celestial bodies such as artificial satellites, spacecraft, space stations, and probes. A satellite that serves as a satellite station may be a low Earth orbiting (LEO) satellite, a medium Earth orbiting (MEO) satellite, a geostationary Earth orbiting (GEO) satellite, or a highly elliptical orbiting (HEO) satellite. The satellite station may be a device mounted on a low Earth orbit satellite, a medium Earth orbit satellite, a geostationary satellite, or a highly elliptical orbit satellite.
[0119] Alternatively, any type of information processing device (computer) can be used as the communication device 30. For example, the communication device 30 may be a mobile terminal such as a mobile phone, a smart device (smartphone or tablet), a personal digital assistant (PDA), or a notebook PC. The communication device 30 may also be an imaging device (e.g., a camcorder) equipped with a communication function. The communication device 30 may also be a motorcycle or a mobile broadcast vehicle equipped with a communication device such as a field pickup unit (FPU). The communication device 30 may also be a wearable device such as a smartwatch.
[0120] Furthermore, the communication device 30 may be an xR device such as an AR (Augmented Reality) device, a VR (Virtual Reality) device, or an MR (Mixed Reality) device. In this case, the xR device may be a glasses-type device such as AR glasses or MR glasses, or a head-mounted device such as a VR head-mounted display. When the communication device 30 is an xR device, the communication device 30 may be a standalone device consisting only of a part worn by a user (e.g., a glasses part). Furthermore, the communication device 30 may be a terminal-linked device consisting of a part worn by a user (e.g., a glasses part) and a terminal part (e.g., a smart device) linked to the part worn by a user (e.g., a glasses part).
[0121] The communication device 30 is not limited to a mobile communication device (portable / mobile communication device). The communication device 30 may be a fixed communication device installed in a structure. The communication device 30 may be a sensor installed in a factory machine or building, such as a so-called MTC (Machine Type Communication). In the example of FIG. 7, the communication device 30 3 is a fixed communication device.
[0122] The communication device 30 may also be an M2M (Machine to Machine) device or an IoT (Internet of Things) device. The communication device 30 may also be a device equipped with a relay communication function, such as D2D (Device to Device) or V2X (Vehicle to Everything). The communication device 30 may also be a device called CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) used in wireless backhaul or the like. In addition, a base station 40 (described later) can also be considered a type of communication device 30. An information processing device 50 (described later) can also be considered a type of communication device 30 as long as it has a communication function.
[0123] The communication device 30 may be capable of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication with the base station 40. The communication device 30 may use an automatic repeat retransmission technique such as hybrid automatic repeat reQuest (HARQ) when communicating with another communication device (e.g., the base station 40). The communication device 30 may be capable of sidelink communication with another communication device 30. The communication device 30 may use an automatic repeat retransmission technique such as HARQ when performing sidelink communication. The communication device 30 may be capable of NOMA communication when performing sidelink communication with another communication device 30. The communication device 30 may be capable of low power wide area (LPWA) communication with another wireless communication device such as the base station 40. The wireless communication used by the communication device 30 may be wireless communication using millimeter waves. The wireless communication used by the communication device 30, including sidelink communication, may be wireless communication using radio waves or wireless communication using infrared or visible light, i.e., optical wireless.
[0124] The communication device 30 may be capable of simultaneously connecting to and communicating with multiple base stations 40 or multiple cells. When one base station 40 supports a communication area through multiple cells (e.g., pCell or sCell), the multiple cells can be aggregated and communication can be performed between the base station 40 and the communication device 30 using carrier aggregation (CA) technology, dual connectivity (DC) technology, multi-connectivity (MC) technology, or the like. Alternatively, communication can be performed between the communication device 30 and the multiple base stations 40 via cells of different base stations 40 using coordinated multi-point transmission and reception (CoMP) technology.
[0125] The communication device 30 may be a relay terminal that relays communication to a remote terminal. The communication device 30 may be called User Equipment, User Terminal, User Station, Mobile Terminal, Mobile Station, etc. The communication device 30 may also be called, for example, MTC UE, NB-IoT UE, or Cat. M UE. The communication device 30 may also be called a Client Device.
[0126] In this embodiment, unless otherwise specified, the communication device 30 corresponds to an entity that terminates a wireless link using a frequency that requires permission from the communication control device 60. However, depending on the functions that the communication device 30 has and the network topology that is applied, the communication device 30 may operate in the same manner as a communication device. In other words, when implementing the technology disclosed in this embodiment, depending on the network topology, the communication device may be called a terminal device, or the terminal device may be called a communication device.
[0127] Fig. 13 is a diagram showing the configuration of a communication device 30 according to this embodiment. The communication device 30 includes a wireless communication unit 31, a storage unit 32, and a control unit 33. The configuration shown in Fig. 13 is a functional configuration, and the hardware configuration may be different from this. Furthermore, the functions of the communication device 30 may be distributed and implemented in multiple physically separated units.
[0128] The wireless communication unit 31 is a signal processing unit for wireless communication with other wireless communication devices (for example, a base station 40 or another communication device 30). The wireless communication unit 31 is controlled by the control unit 33. The wireless communication unit 31 supports one or more wireless access methods. The wireless communication unit 31 may support at least one of NR, LTE, and 6G. In addition to NR, LTE, and 6G, the wireless communication unit 31 may also support W-CDMA, cdma2000, and the like. The wireless communication unit 31 may also support automatic retransmission techniques such as HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest).
[0129] The wireless communication unit 31 may be configured to be capable of communicating using wireless access technologies (wireless communication methods) other than LTE, NR, and 6G. For example, the wireless communication unit 31 may be configured to be compatible with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The communication device 30 may also be configured to be capable of communicating using LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) communication. Alternatively, the communication device 30 may be configured to be capable of communicating using proprietary wireless communication standards.
[0130] Here, LPWA communication refers to wireless communication that enables low-power, wide-range communication. For example, LPWA wireless refers to IoT (Internet of Things) wireless communication using a specified low-power radio (e.g., the 920 MHz band) or the ISM (Industry-Science-Medical) band. Note that the LPWA communication used by the communication device 30 may be compliant with the LPWA standard. Examples of LPWA standards include ELTRES, ZETA, SIGFOX, LoRaWAN, and NB-IoT. Of course, the LPWA standard is not limited to these, and other LPWA standards may also be used.
[0131] The wireless communication unit 31 includes a transmission processing unit 311, a reception processing unit 312, and an antenna 313. The wireless communication unit 31 may include multiple transmission processing units 311, multiple reception processing units 312, and multiple antennas 313. If the wireless communication unit 31 supports multiple wireless access methods, each unit of the wireless communication unit 31 may be configured separately for each wireless access method. The transmission processing unit 311 and the reception processing unit 312 may be configured separately for LTE, NR, and 6G. The antenna 313 may be configured with multiple antenna elements, for example, multiple patch antennas. The wireless communication unit 31 may have a beamforming function. For example, the wireless communication unit 31 may have a polarization beamforming function using vertical polarization (V polarization) and horizontal polarization (H polarization) (or a polarization beamforming function using dual polarization in polarization directions 45 degrees and -45 degrees from the vertical direction).
[0132] The storage unit 32 is a readable and writable storage device such as a DRAM, an SRAM, a flash memory, a hard disk, etc. The storage unit 32 functions as a storage means of the communication device 30.
[0133] The control unit 33 is a controller that controls each unit of the communication device 30. The control unit 33 controls the wireless communication unit to perform wireless communication with other wireless communication devices (e.g., a base station 40 or another communication device 30). The control unit 33 may be implemented by a processor such as a CPU or an MPU. Specifically, the control unit 33 may be implemented by a processor executing various programs stored in a storage device internal to the communication device 30 using RAM or the like as a work area. The control unit 33 may be implemented by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC or FPGA. The CPU, MPU, ASIC, and FPGA can all be considered controllers. The control unit 33 may also be implemented by a GPU. The CPU, MPU, ASIC, FPGA, and GPU can all be considered controllers. The control unit 33 may be composed of multiple physically separated entities. For example, the control unit 33 may be composed of multiple semiconductor chips.
[0134] The control unit 33 includes a transmitting unit 331, a receiving unit 332, and a setting unit 333. Each block (transmitting unit 331 to setting unit 333) constituting the control unit 33 is a functional block that indicates the function of the control unit 33. These functional blocks may be software blocks or hardware blocks. For example, each of the above-mentioned functional blocks may be a software module realized by software (including a microprogram), or may be a circuit block on a semiconductor chip (die). Of course, each functional block may be a processor or an integrated circuit. The control unit 33 may be configured with functional units different from the above-mentioned functional blocks. The method of configuring the functional blocks is arbitrary.
[0135] The operation of each block (transmitter 331, receiver 332, and setting unit 333) of the control unit 33 may be similar to that of each block (transmitter 531, receiver 532, and setting unit 533) of the control unit 53 provided in the information processing device 50 described below.
[0136] 2-5. Configuration of Base Station Next, the configuration of the base station 40 included in the communication system 2 will be described.
[0137] The base station 40 is a communication device (wireless system) that performs wireless communication with other wireless communication devices (e.g., the communication device 30 or another base station 40). The base station 40 may communicate wirelessly with the communication device 30 via a relay station, or may communicate wirelessly directly with the communication device 30. The base station 40 is a type of information processing device. The base station 40 is also a type of communication device. If the base station 40 is mobile, the base station 40 is also a type of "mobile communication device" in this embodiment.
[0138] The base station 40 is a device equivalent to a radio base station (e.g., base station, Node B, eNB, gNB, or 6GNB) or a radio access point. The base station 40 may be a radio relay station. The base station 40 may be an optical device called an RRH (Remote Radio Head). The base station 40 may be a receiving station such as an FPU (Field Pickup Unit). The base station 40 may be an IAB (Integrated Access and Backhaul) donor node or an IAB relay node that provides radio access lines and radio backhaul lines using time division multiplexing, frequency division multiplexing, or space division multiplexing.
[0139] The wireless access technology used by the base station 40 may be cellular communication technology. The wireless access technology used by the base station 40 may be wireless LAN technology. The wireless access technology used by the base station 40 may be low-power wide-area (LPWA) communication technology. However, the wireless access technology used by the base station 40 is not limited to these and may be other wireless access technologies. The wireless communication used by the base station 40 may be wireless communication using millimeter waves or wireless communication using terahertz waves. The wireless communication used by the base station 40 may be wireless communication using radio waves or wireless communication using infrared or visible light (optical wireless). Furthermore, the base station 40 may be capable of NOMA (Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access) communication with the communication device 30. Here, NOMA communication refers to communication (transmission, reception, or both) using non-orthogonal resources. Note that the base station 40 may be capable of NOMA communication with other base stations 40.
[0140] The base station 40 may be able to communicate with the core network via a base station-core network interface (e.g., NG Interface, S1 Interface, etc.). This interface may be either wired or wireless. The base station may also be able to communicate with other base stations via an inter-base station interface (e.g., Xn Interface, X2 Interface, F1 Interface, etc.). This interface may be either wired or wireless.
[0141] The concept of a base station (also called a "base station device") includes not only a donor base station but also a relay base station (also called a "relay station"). A relay base station may be any one of an RF Repeater, a Smart Repeater, and an Intelligent Surface. The concept of a base station includes not only a structure with base station functions but also equipment installed in the structure.
[0142] Examples of structures include high-rise buildings, houses, steel towers, station facilities, airport facilities, port facilities, office buildings, school buildings, hospitals, factories, commercial facilities, stadiums, and other buildings. The concept of a structure includes not only buildings, but also non-building structures such as tunnels, bridges, dams, fences, and steel pillars, as well as equipment such as cranes, gates, and wind turbines. The concept of a structure includes not only land (ground in the narrow sense) or underground structures, but also water-based structures such as piers or megafloats, and underwater structures such as ocean observation facilities. A base station can also be referred to as an information processing device.
[0143] The base station 40 may be a donor station or a relay station (relay station). The base station 40 may also be a fixed station or a mobile station. A mobile station is a wireless communication device (e.g., a base station) configured to be mobile. In this case, the base station 40 may be a device installed in a mobile body, or may be the mobile body itself. For example, a relay station with mobility can be considered a base station 40 as a mobile station. Furthermore, devices that are inherently mobile and have base station functionality (at least part of the base station functionality), such as vehicles, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) represented by drones, and smartphones, also fall under the category of a base station 40 as a mobile station.
[0144] Here, the moving body may be a mobile terminal such as a smartphone or a mobile phone. The moving body may be a moving body that moves on land (ground in the narrow sense) (e.g., a vehicle such as an automobile, bicycle, bus, truck, motorcycle, train, or linear motor car), or a moving body that moves underground (e.g., in a tunnel) (e.g., a subway). The moving body may also be a moving body that moves on water (e.g., a ship such as a passenger ship, cargo ship, or hovercraft), or a moving body that moves underwater (e.g., a submersible vessel such as a submarine, submarine, or unmanned underwater vehicle). The moving body may also be a moving body that moves within the atmosphere (e.g., an aircraft such as an airplane, airship, or drone).
[0145] The base station 40 may be a terrestrial base station (ground station) installed on the ground. The base station 40 may be a base station located on a structure on the ground, or a base station installed on a mobile object moving on the ground. The base station 40 may be an antenna installed on a structure such as a building and a signal processing device connected to that antenna. The base station 40 may be the structure or the mobile object itself. "Ground" refers not only to land (ground in the narrow sense) but also to ground, on water, and underwater in a broad sense. The base station 40 is not limited to a terrestrial base station. If the communication system 1 is a satellite communication system, the base station 40 may be an aircraft station. From the perspective of a satellite station, an aircraft station located on Earth is a ground station.
[0146] The base station 40 is not limited to a ground station. The base station 40 may be a non-terrestrial base station device (non-terrestrial station) that can float in the air or space. The base station 40 may be an aircraft station or a satellite station.
[0147] As described above, the base station 40 may be a relay station. A relay station may be, for example, an aircraft station or an earth station. A relay station device may be considered a type of the above-mentioned relay device. An aircraft station is a radio station installed on the ground or on a mobile object moving on the ground to communicate with an aircraft station device. An earth station is a radio station located on the earth (including in the air) to communicate with a satellite station device. An earth station may be a large earth station or a small earth station such as a VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal).
[0148] The earth station may be a VSAT control earth station (also referred to as a master station or a hub station) or a VSAT earth station (also referred to as a slave station). The earth station may also be a radio station installed on a moving object moving on the ground. For example, an earth station installed on a ship may be an earth station on board a vessel (ESV: Earth Stations on Board Vessels). The earth station may also include an aircraft earth station installed on an aircraft (including a helicopter) that communicates with a satellite station. The earth station may also include an aircraft earth station installed on a moving object moving on the ground that communicates with an aircraft earth station via a satellite station. The relay station device may also be a portable, mobile radio station that communicates with a satellite station or an aircraft station.
[0149] The coverage size of the base station 40 may be relatively large, such as a macrocell, or relatively small, such as a picocell. The coverage size of the base station 40 may also be extremely small, such as a femtocell. The base station 40 may have a beamforming function. The base station 40 may form a cell or service area for each beam. Additionally or alternatively, in addition to beamforming, which gives directionality to the beam, the base station 40 may have a function to pinpoint a desired wave to a specific point by further considering distance information from the antenna of the base station 40. This function may be called beam focusing or point forming.
[0150] Fig. 14 is a diagram showing the configuration of a base station 40 according to this embodiment. The base station 40 includes a wireless communication unit 41, a storage unit 42, and a control unit 43. However, the configuration shown in Fig. 14 is a functional configuration, and the hardware configuration may be different. Furthermore, the functions of the base station 40 may be distributed and implemented in multiple physically separated units.
[0151] The wireless communication unit 41 is a signal processing unit for wireless communication with other wireless communication devices (for example, the communication device 30 or another base station 40). The wireless communication unit 41 is controlled by the control unit 43. The wireless communication unit 41 supports one or more wireless access methods. The wireless communication unit 41 may support at least one of NR, LTE, and 6G. In addition to NR, LTE, and 6G, the wireless communication unit 41 may also support W-CDMA, cdma2000, and the like. The wireless communication unit 41 may also support automatic retransmission techniques such as HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest).
[0152] The wireless communication unit 41 includes a transmission processing unit 411, a reception processing unit 412, and an antenna 413. The wireless communication unit 41 may include multiple transmission processing units 411, multiple reception processing units 412, and multiple antennas 413. If the wireless communication unit 41 supports multiple wireless access methods, each unit of the wireless communication unit 41 may be configured separately for each wireless access method. The transmission processing unit 411 and the reception processing unit 412 may be configured separately for LTE, NR, and 6G. The antenna 413 may be configured with multiple antenna elements, for example, multiple patch antennas. The wireless communication unit 41 may have a beamforming function. For example, the wireless communication unit 41 may have a polarization beamforming function using vertical polarization (V polarization) and horizontal polarization (H polarization) (or a polarization beamforming function using dual polarization in polarization directions 45 degrees and -45 degrees from the vertical direction).
[0153] The transmission processing unit 411 performs transmission processing of the downlink control information and downlink data. For example, the transmission processing unit 411 encodes the downlink control information and downlink data input from the control unit 43 using a coding method such as block coding, convolutional coding, or turbo coding. Here, the encoding may be performed using polar codes or low density parity check codes (LDPC codes). The transmission processing unit 411 then modulates the coded bits using a predetermined modulation method such as BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM, or 256QAM. In this case, the signal points on the constellation do not necessarily need to be equidistant. The constellation may be a non-uniform constellation (NUC). The transmission processing unit 411 then multiplexes the modulation symbols of each channel and the downlink reference signal and allocates them to predetermined resource elements. The transmission processing unit 411 then performs various signal processing on the multiplexed signal. For example, the transmission processing unit 411 performs processes such as conversion to the frequency domain by fast Fourier transform, addition of a guard interval (cyclic prefix), generation of a baseband digital signal, conversion to an analog signal, quadrature modulation, up-conversion, removal of unnecessary frequency components, power amplification, etc. The signal generated by the transmission processing unit 411 is transmitted from an antenna 413.
[0154] The reception processing unit 412 processes the uplink signal received via the antenna 413. For example, the reception processing unit 412 performs downconversion, removal of unnecessary frequency components, control of amplification level, quadrature demodulation, conversion to a digital signal, removal of guard intervals (cyclic prefixes), extraction of frequency domain signals by fast Fourier transform, and the like on the uplink signal. The reception processing unit 412 then separates uplink channels such as PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel) and PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel) and uplink reference signals from the processed signal. The reception processing unit 412 also demodulates the received signal using a modulation method such as BPSK (Binary Phase Shift Keying) or QPSK (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) for the modulation symbols of the uplink channel. The modulation method used for demodulation may be 16QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation), 64QAM, or 256QAM. In this case, the signal points on the constellation do not necessarily have to be equidistant. The constellation may be a non-uniform constellation (NUC). The reception processing unit 412 then performs decoding processing on the coded bits of the demodulated uplink channel. The decoded uplink data and uplink control information are output to the control unit 43.
[0155] The antenna 413 is an antenna device that converts electric current and radio waves into each other. The antenna 413 may be configured with a single antenna element, for example, a single patch antenna. The antenna 413 may be configured with multiple antenna elements, for example, multiple patch antennas. When the antenna 413 is configured with multiple antenna elements, the wireless communication unit 41 may have a beamforming function. The wireless communication unit 41 may be configured to generate a directional beam by controlling the directivity of a wireless signal using the multiple antenna elements. The antenna 413 may be a dual-polarized antenna. When the antenna 413 is a dual-polarized antenna, the wireless communication unit 41 may use vertical polarization (V polarization) and horizontal polarization (H polarization) (or dual polarization with polarization directions at 45 degrees and -45 degrees from the vertical direction) when transmitting a wireless signal. The wireless communication unit 41 may control the directivity of a wireless signal transmitted using vertical polarization and horizontal polarization (or dual polarization with polarization directions at 45 degrees and -45 degrees from the vertical direction). Furthermore, the wireless communication unit 41 may transmit and receive spatially multiplexed signals via multiple layers each made up of multiple antenna elements.
[0156] The storage unit 42 is a readable and writable storage device such as a DRAM, an SRAM, a flash memory, a hard disk, etc. The storage unit 42 stores desired transmission power information, operation parameters, possessed resource information, and the like.
[0157] The desired transmission power information is information on the transmission power that the base station 40 requests the communication control device 60 as information on the transmission power required for transmitting radio waves.
[0158] The operating parameters are information (e.g., setting information) related to the radio wave transmission operation of the base station 40. For example, the operating parameters are information on the maximum value of transmission power (maximum allowable transmission power) allowed for the base station 40. Of course, the operating parameters are not limited to information on the maximum allowable transmission power.
[0159] The retained resource information is information relating to the radio resources retained by the base station 40. For example, the retained resource information is information on the radio resources currently available to the base station 40. For example, the retained resource information is information on the amount of interference margin retained by the base station 40 and allocated by the communication control device 60. The information on the amount retained may be information in resource block units, which will be described later. In other words, the retained resource information may be information relating to resource blocks retained by the base station 40 (for example, the amount of resource blocks retained).
[0160] The control unit 43 is a controller that controls each unit of the base station 40. The control unit 43 controls the wireless communication unit to perform wireless communication with other wireless communication devices (e.g., the communication device 30 or another base station 40). The control unit 43 may be implemented by a processor such as a CPU or an MPU. Specifically, the control unit 43 may be implemented by a processor executing various programs stored in a storage device inside the base station 40 using RAM or the like as a work area. The control unit 43 may be implemented by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC or an FPGA. The control unit 43 may also be implemented by a GPU. A CPU, an MPU, an ASIC, an FPGA, and a GPU can all be considered controllers. The control unit 43 may be composed of multiple physically separated objects. For example, the control unit 43 may be composed of multiple semiconductor chips.
[0161] In some embodiments, the base station 40 may be configured as a collection of multiple physical or logical devices. As an example, the base station 40 of this embodiment may be divided into multiple devices such as a baseband unit (BBU) and a radio unit (RU). The base station 40 may be interpreted as a collection of these multiple devices. Furthermore, the base station may be either a BBU or an RU, or may be both. The BBU and the RU may be connected by a predetermined interface such as an enhanced Common Public Radio Interface (eCPRI).
[0162] The RU may be referred to as an RRU (Remote Radio Unit) or an RD (Radio DoT). The RU may correspond to a gNB-DU (gNB Distributed Unit) described later. The BBU may correspond to a gNB-CU (gNB Central Unit) described later. The RU may be a device integrally formed with an antenna. The antenna of the base station 40, for example, an antenna integrally formed with the RU, may employ an Advanced Antenna System and support MIMO such as FD-MIMO or beamforming. The antenna of the base station 40 may include, for example, 64 transmitting antenna ports and 64 receiving antenna ports.
[0163] The antenna mounted on the RU may be an antenna panel consisting of one or more antenna elements, and the RU may be equipped with one or more antenna panels. The RU may be equipped with two types of antenna panels, a horizontally polarized antenna panel and a vertically polarized antenna panel. The RU may be equipped with two types of antenna panels, a right-handed circularly polarized antenna panel and a left-handed circularly polarized antenna panel, or an antenna panel with a polarization direction at 45 degrees from the vertical direction and an antenna panel with a polarization direction at -45 degrees from the vertical direction. Multiple antennas with these multiple polarization directions may be mounted on a single antenna panel. The RU may form and control an independent beam for each antenna panel.
[0164] A plurality of base stations 40 may be connected to each other. One or more base stations 40 may be included in a radio access network (RAN). In this case, the base station 40 may be simply referred to as a RAN, a RAN node, an AN (Access Network), an AN node, or the like. The RAN in LTE may be called an Enhanced Universal Terrestrial RAN (EUTRAN). The RAN in NR may be called an NGRAN. Furthermore, the RAN in 6G may be called a 6GRAN. The RAN in W-CDMA (UMTS) may be called a UTRAN.
[0165] An LTE base station 40 may be referred to as an eNodeB (Evolved Node B) or eNB. In this case, the EUTRAN includes one or more eNodeBs (eNBs). An NR base station 40 may be referred to as a gNodeB or gNB. In this case, the NGRAN includes one or more gNBs. A 6G base station may be referred to as a 6GNodeB, 6gNodeB, 6GNB, or 6gNB. In this case, the 6GRAN includes one or more 6GNBs. The EUTRAN may include a gNB (en-gNB) connected to a core network (EPC) in an LTE communication system (EPS). The NGRAN may include an ng-eNB connected to a core network 5GC in a 5G communication system (5GS).
[0166] When the base station 40 is an eNB, gNB, 6GNB, or the like, the base station 40 may be referred to as a 3GPP access. When the base station 40 is a wireless access point, the base station 40 may be referred to as a non-3GPP access. The base station 40 may be an optical extension device called an RRH (Remote Radio Head). When the base station 40 is a gNB, the base station 40 may be a combination of the gNB-CU and gNB-DU described above, or may be either a gNB-CU or a gNB-DU.
[0167] Here, the gNB-CU hosts multiple upper layers (e.g., RRC (Radio Resource Control), SDAP (Service Data Adaptation Protocol), PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol)) of the access stratum for communication with the UE. On the other hand, the gNB-DU hosts multiple lower layers (e.g., RLC (Radio Link Control), MAC (Medium Access Control), PHY (Physical layer)) of the access stratum. That is, among the messages / information described below, RRC signaling (semi-static notification) is generated by the gNB-CU, while MAC The CE and DCI (dynamic notification) may be generated by the gNB-DU. Alternatively, some configurations of the RRC configuration (semi-static notification), such as IE:cellGroupConfig, may be generated by the gNB-DU, and the remaining configurations may be generated by the gNB-CU. These configurations may be transmitted and received over the F1 interface described below.
[0168] The base station 40 may be configured to be able to communicate with other base stations. When multiple base stations 40 are eNBs or a combination of eNBs and en-gNBs, these base stations 40 may be connected via an X2 interface. When multiple base stations 40 are gNBs or a combination of gn-eNBs and gNBs, these base stations 40 may be connected via an Xn interface. When multiple base stations 40 are a combination of gNB-CUs and gNB-DUs, these base stations 40 may be connected via the F1 interface described above. Messages / information (e.g., RRC signaling, MAC Control Element (CE), or Downlink Control Information (DCI)) described below may be transmitted between multiple base stations 40 via, for example, the X2 interface, the Xn interface, or the F1 interface.
[0169] A cell provided by the base station 40 may be referred to as a serving cell. The concept of a serving cell includes a PCell (Primary Cell) and an SCell (Secondary Cell). When dual connectivity is provided to the communication device 30, the PCell and zero or more SCells provided by a Master Node (MN) may be referred to as a Master Cell Group. Examples of dual connectivity include EUTRA-EUTRA Dual Connectivity, EUTRA-NR Dual Connectivity (ENDC), EUTRA-NR Dual Connectivity with 5GC, NR-EUTRA Dual Connectivity (NEDC), and NR-NR Dual Connectivity. Further examples of dual connectivity include NR-6G Dual Connectivity and 6G-NR Dual Connectivity.
[0170] The serving cell may include a PSCell (Primary Secondary Cell or Primary SCG Cell). When dual connectivity is provided to the communication device 30, the PSCell and zero or more SCells provided by a Secondary Node (SN) may be referred to as a Secondary Cell Group (SCG). Unless special configuration (e.g., PUCCH on SCell) is performed, the Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) is transmitted by the PCell and PSCell but not by the SCell. Radio link failure is detected by the PCell and PSCell but not (does not need to be detected by) the SCell. As such, the PCell and PSCell are also referred to as Special Cells (SpCells) because they play special roles among serving cells.
[0171] One cell may be associated with one downlink component carrier and one uplink component carrier. The system bandwidth corresponding to one cell may be divided into multiple BWPs (Bandwidth Parts). In this case, one or multiple BWPs may be configured in the communication device 30, and one BWP may be used by the communication device 30 as an active BWP. Radio resources available to the communication device 30, such as frequency bands, numerology (subcarrier spacing), or slot formats, may differ for each cell, component carrier, or BWP.
[0172] 2-6. Configuration of Information Processing Device Next, the configuration of the information processing device 50 will be described.
[0173] The information processing device 50 is a device that manages or controls one or more communication devices 30. The information processing device 50 is, for example, a management device / control device provided by a business operator (or user) that controls or operates the communication devices 30. Note that the above-mentioned base station 40 can also be considered a type of information processing device 50 as long as it has the function of controlling or operating the communication devices 30. The communication device 30 may also be considered a type of information processing device 50. Furthermore, a communication control device 60 described below may function as the information processing device 50.
[0174] The information processing device 50 is, for example, a server device used by a business operator to manage the operation of the communication device 30 (e.g., a mobile communication device). For example, the information processing device 50 may be a computer that performs processing related to the automatic driving / automatic flight of the communication device 30. Any type of computer can be used for the information processing device 50. For example, the information processing device 50 may be a PC server, a mid-range server, or a mainframe server. Furthermore, the information processing device 50 may be a computer that performs data processing (edge processing) near a user or a terminal. For example, the information processing device 50 may be a computer attached to or built into the base station 40. Furthermore, the information processing device 50 may be a computer that performs cloud computing. The information processing device 50 of this embodiment can function as an application function.
[0175] The information processing device 50 may also be a proportional system used by a user to operate the communication device 30 (e.g., a mobile communication device). In this case, the information processing device 50 may be a dedicated control device or a general-purpose control device such as a mobile phone, a smart device (smartphone or tablet), a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), or a personal computer. The information processing device 50 may also be a controller with a display or a joystick with a display.
[0176] The information processing device 50 may also be a device that manages communication of the base station 40. The information processing device 50 may be, for example, a device having a function as an MME (Mobility Management Entity). The information processing device 50 may be a device having a function as an AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function) and / or an SMF (Session Management Function). The MME, AMF, and SMF are control plane network function nodes in a core network. The information processing device 50 may be a device having a function as a control plane network function (6G CPNF) in 6G. The 6G CPNF may be composed of one or more logical nodes.
[0177] Of course, the functions of the information processing device 50 are not limited to MME, AMF, SMF, and 6G CPNF. The information processing device 50 may be a device having functions as a Network Slice Selection Function (NSSF), an Authentication Server Function (AUSF), a Policy Control Function (PCF), and a Unified Data Management (UDM). Furthermore, the information processing device 50 may be a device having functions as a Home Subscriber Server (HSS).
[0178] The information processing device 50 may have a gateway function. For example, the information processing device 50 may have a function as an S-GW (Serving Gateway) or a P-GW (Packet Data Network Gateway). The information processing device 50 may also have a UPF (User Plane Function) function. In this case, the information processing device 50 may have multiple UPFs. The information processing device 50 may also be a device having a function as a 6G User Plane Network Function (6G UPNF).
[0179] The core network is composed of multiple network functions, and each network function may be aggregated in one physical device or distributed across multiple physical devices. That is, the information processing device 50 may be distributed across multiple devices. Furthermore, this distributed distribution may be controlled so that it is executed dynamically. The base station 40 and the information processing device 50 form a single network, and provide wireless communication services to the communication device 30. The information processing device 50 is connected to the Internet, and the communication device 30 can use various services provided via the Internet via the base station 40.
[0180] The information processing device 50 does not necessarily have to be a device that constitutes a core network. For example, assume that the core network is a W-CDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) or cdma2000 (Code Division Multiple Access 2000) core network. In this case, the information processing device 50 may be a device that functions as an RNC (Radio Network Controller).
[0181] Fig. 15 is a diagram showing the configuration of an information processing device 50 according to this embodiment. The information processing device 50 includes a communication unit 51, a storage unit 52, and a control unit 53. The configuration shown in Fig. 15 is a functional configuration, and the hardware configuration may be different from this. Furthermore, the functions of the information processing device 50 may be statically or dynamically distributed and implemented in multiple physically separated configurations. The information processing device 50 may also be configured by multiple server devices.
[0182] The communication unit 51 is a communication interface for communicating with a wireless communication device (e.g., the communication device 30 or the base station 40). The communication unit 51 may be a network interface or a device connection interface. The communication unit 51 may be a LAN (Local Area Network) interface such as a NIC (Network Interface Card), or a USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface configured by a USB host controller or a USB port. The communication unit 51 may be a wired interface or a wireless interface. The communication unit 51 functions as a communication means of the information processing device 50. The communication unit 51 is controlled by the control unit 53.
[0183] The storage unit 52 is a readable / writable storage device such as a DRAM, an SRAM, a flash memory, or a hard disk. The storage unit 52 functions as a storage means of the information processing device 50. The storage unit 52 stores, for example, the connection status of the communication device 30. The storage unit 52 stores the status of the RRC (Radio Resource Control) of the communication device 30 and the status of the ECM (EPS Connection Management) or the 5G System CM (Connection Management). The storage unit 52 may function as a home memory that stores location information of the communication device 30. Similarly to the storage unit 42 of the base station 40, the storage unit 52 may store desired transmission power information, operating parameters, possessed resource information, and the like. The storage unit 52 may also store information related to the movement of the communication device 30. For example, the storage unit 52 may store information related to the operation plans of each of the communication devices 30 as information related to the movement of the communication device 30.
[0184] The control unit 53 is a controller that controls each unit of the information processing device 50. The control unit 53 may be realized by a processor such as a CPU or an MPU. In particular, the control unit 53 may be realized by a processor executing various programs stored in a storage device inside the information processing device 50 using RAM or the like as a work area. The control unit 53 may be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC or an FPGA. The control unit 53 may also be realized by a GPU. A CPU, an MPU, an ASIC, an FPGA, and a GPU can all be considered controllers. The control unit 53 may be composed of multiple physically separated objects. For example, the control unit 53 may be composed of multiple semiconductor chips.
[0185] The control unit 53 includes a transmitting unit 531, a receiving unit 532, and a setting unit 533. Each block (transmitting unit 531 to setting unit 533) constituting the control unit 53 is a functional block that indicates the function of the control unit 53. These functional blocks may be software blocks or hardware blocks. For example, each of the above-mentioned functional blocks may be a software module realized by software (including a microprogram), or may be a circuit block on a semiconductor chip (die). Of course, each functional block may be a processor or an integrated circuit. The control unit 53 may be configured with functional units different from the above-mentioned functional blocks. The method of configuring the functional blocks is arbitrary.
[0186] 2-7. Configuration of the Communication Control Device Next, the configuration of the communication control device 60 will be described.
[0187] The communication control device 60 is a device that manages communication of a communication device (for example, the communication device 30 or the base station 40). For example, the communication control device 60 is a device that controls wireless communication of the communication device 30 or the base station 40. For example, the communication control device 60 is a device that determines communication parameters (also called operating parameters) to be used by the base station 40 and issues permission or instructions to the communication device 30 or the base station 40. Note that the communication control device 60 may control wireless communication of the communication device 30 via the base station 40 or directly. The communication control device 60 is a type of information processing device.
[0188] The communication control device 60 is, for example, a server / system called a TV White Space Database (TVWSDB), a Geolocation Database (GLDB), a Spectrum Access System (SAS), or an Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC). The communication control device 60 may also be a network manager that performs integrated control of wireless devices within a network. Taking ETSI EN 303 387 and IEEE 802.19.1-2018 as examples, the communication control device 60 may also be a control device such as a Spectrum Manager / Coexistence Manager that controls radio interference between wireless devices. For example, a Registered Location Secure Server (RLSS) defined in IEEE 802.11-2016 may also be the communication control device 60. In a frequency sharing environment, a database (database server, device, system) such as a geo-location database (GLDB) or a spectrum access system (SAS) can also be the communication control device 60. An automated frequency coordination (AFC) system can also be the communication control device 60.
[0189] Of course, the communication control device 60 is not limited to these examples. An entity that instructs and / or manages frequency sharing may be called a communication control device. Also, an entity that determines and / or authorizes communication parameters of a communication device may be called a communication control device.
[0190] If the communication system 2 is a cellular communication system, the communication control device 60 may be a device constituting a core network. The core network CN is, for example, an EPC (Evolved Packet Core) or a 5G Core network (5GC). If the core network is an EPC, the communication control device 60 may be, for example, a device having a function as an MME (Mobility Management Entity). If the core network is a 5GC, the communication control device 60 may be, for example, a device having a function as an AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function) or an SMF (Session Management Function). Even if the communication system 2 is a cellular communication system, the communication control device 60 does not necessarily have to be a device constituting a core network. For example, the communication control device 60 may be a device having a function as an RNC (Radio Network Controller).
[0191] The communication control device 60 may have a gateway function. For example, if the core network is EPC, the communication control device 60 may be a device having a function as an S-GW (Serving Gateway) or P-GW (Packet Data Network Gateway). If the core network is 5GC, the communication control device 60 may be a device having a function as a UPF (User Plane Function). The communication control device 60 may be an SMF, PCF, UDM, or the like. The core network CN may include an SMF, PCF, UDM, or the like.
[0192] The communication control device 60 does not necessarily have to be a device that constitutes a core network. For example, assume that the core network is a W-CDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) or cdma2000 (Code Division Multiple Access 2000) core network. In this case, the communication control device 60 may be a device that functions as an RNC (Radio Network Controller).
[0193] The communication control device 60 may be connected to each of the multiple base stations 40. For example, in the case of 5GC, an N2 reference point exists between the AMF and the NG-RAN, and the AMF and the NG-RAN are logically connected to each other via the NG interface.
[0194] The communication control device 60 manages communication of the communication device 30 or the base station 40. For example, the communication control device 60 may manage the location of the communication device 30 for each communication device 30 in area units consisting of multiple cells (e.g., Tracking Area, RAN Notification Area). Note that the communication control device 60 may grasp and manage, for each communication device 30, which base station 40 (or which cell) the communication device 30 is connected to, which base station 40 (or which cell) the communication device 30 is located within the communication area of, etc.
[0195] The control targets of the communication control device 60 are basically the communication device 30 or the base station 40, but it may also control wireless communication devices subordinate to them. The communication control device 60 may also control multiple secondary systems. In this case, the communication system 2 can be considered as a system equipped with multiple secondary systems.
[0196] In order to perform its function, the communication control device 60 may acquire necessary information from entities other than the communication device 30, the base station 40, and the information processing device 50. Specifically, the communication control device 60 may acquire information necessary for protection, such as location information of the primary system, from a database (regulatory database) managed and operated by a national or regional radio regulatory agency (NRA: National Regulatory Authority). An example of a regulatory database is the Universal Licensing System (ULS) operated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Examples of information necessary for protection may include, for example, location information of the primary system, communication parameters of the primary system, out-of-band emission limit (OOBE), adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR), adjacent channel selectivity, fading margin, and / or protection ratio (PR). In these examples, if fixed values and methods of obtaining or deriving them are prescribed by law, etc., it is desirable to use those values.
[0197] As another example, it is also possible that the communication control device 60 acquires radio wave sensing information from a radio wave sensing system that is installed and operated for the purpose of detecting radio waves from the primary system. As a specific example, the communication control device 60 acquires radio wave detection information of the shipboard radar that is the primary system from a radio wave sensing system called the Environmental Sensing Capability (ESC) in the U.S. CBRS. Furthermore, if the communication device or terminal has a sensing function, the communication control device 60 may acquire radio wave detection information of the primary system from them.
[0198] FIG. 16 is a diagram illustrating an example configuration of a communication control device 60 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The communication control device 60 includes a communication unit 61, a storage unit 62, and a control unit 63. Note that the configuration illustrated in FIG. 16 is a functional configuration, and the hardware configuration may be different. Furthermore, the functions of the communication control device 60 may be distributed and implemented in multiple physically separated configurations. For example, the communication control device 60 may be configured by multiple server devices.
[0199] The communication unit 61 is a communication interface that communicates with other communication devices (for example, the base station 40, the communication device 30, the information processing device 50, and other communication control devices 60). The communication unit 61 may be a wireless interface or a wired interface. For example, the communication unit 61 is assumed to be a wireless communication interface. In this case, the communication unit 61 may be compatible with one or more wireless access methods. For example, the communication unit 61 may be compatible with both NR and LTE. The communication unit 61 may also be compatible with other wireless access methods, such as W-CDMA or cdma2000.
[0200] Furthermore, the communication unit 61 may be a communication interface other than a wireless communication interface. In this case, the communication unit 61 may be a network interface or a device connection interface. For example, the communication unit 61 may be a LAN (Local Area Network) interface such as a NIC (Network Interface Card), or a Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface configured by a USB host controller, a USB port, etc. Alternatively, the configuration of the communication unit 61 may be the same as that of the wireless communication unit 41 of the base station 40.
[0201] The storage unit 62 is a storage device that can read and write data, such as a DRAM, an SRAM, a flash memory, or a hard disk. The storage unit 62 functions as a storage means of the communication control device 60. The storage unit 62 stores the operating parameters of each of the multiple base stations 40 that make up the communication system 2. The storage unit 62 may also store information about the resources held by each of the multiple base stations 40 that make up the communication system 2. As described above, the information about the resources held is information about the radio resources held by the base station 40.
[0202] The control unit 63 is a controller that controls each unit of the communication control device 60. The control unit 63 is realized by a processor such as a CPU or an MPU. For example, the control unit 63 is realized by a processor executing various programs stored in a storage device inside the communication control device 60 using RAM or the like as a work area. The control unit 63 may also be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC or an FPGA. A CPU, an MPU, an ASIC, and an FPGA can all be considered as controllers.
[0203] As shown in FIG. 16 , the control unit 63 includes an acquisition unit 631, a calculation unit 632, a determination unit 633, and a transmission unit 634. Each block (acquisition unit 631 to transmission unit 634) constituting the control unit 63 is a functional block that indicates a function of the control unit 63. These functional blocks may be software blocks or hardware blocks. For example, each of the above-mentioned functional blocks may be a software module realized by software (including a microprogram), or may be a circuit block on a semiconductor chip (die). Of course, each functional block may be a processor or an integrated circuit. The functional blocks may be configured in any manner. The control unit 63 may be configured in functional units different from the above-mentioned functional blocks. The operation of each block constituting the control unit 63 will be described later.
[0204] The control unit 33 of the communication device 30, the control unit 43 of the base station 40, and the control unit 53 of the information processing device 50 may include the respective functional blocks (acquisition unit 631 to transmission unit 634) of the control unit 63 of the communication control device 60. In this case, the description of the communication control device 60 that appears in the following description can be replaced with the communication device 30, the base station 40, or the information processing device 50 as appropriate.
[0205] <<3. Interference Model>> Next, an interference model assumed in this embodiment will be described. Fig. 17 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of an interference model assumed in an embodiment of the present disclosure. Note that the term "communication device 30" that appears in the following description can be replaced with a word indicating another communication device having a wireless communication function (e.g., base station 40).
[0206] The interference model shown in FIG. 17 is applied, for example, when the primary system has a service area. In the example of FIG. 17, communication system 1 (primary system) is a wireless communication system having a service area. This service area is, for example, the protection area of communication system 1. A plurality of interference calculation reference points (hereinafter referred to as interference calculation points or protection points) are set in the protection area. Protection points are set, for example, by the operator of communication system 1 or a public institution that manages radio waves (hereinafter referred to as the administrator). For example, the administrator may divide the protection area into a grid and set the center of a predetermined grid as the protection point. The method of determining protection points is arbitrary.
[0207] Note that protection points may be set not only in the horizontal direction but also in the vertical direction. That is, protection points may be arranged three-dimensionally. In the following description, protection points arranged three-dimensionally (that is, protection points not based on the assumption of a horizontal plane but based on the assumption of a three-dimensional space) may be referred to as spatial protection points.
[0208] The interference margin of each protection point is set by an administrator or the like. Fig. 17 shows the interference that multiple communication devices 30 constituting a communication system 2 (secondary system) cause to protection points. The communication control device 60 of the communication system 2 controls the transmission power of the multiple communication devices 30 so that the cumulative interference at each protection point does not exceed the set interference margin.
[0209] 18 is an explanatory diagram showing another example of an interference model assumed in an embodiment of the present disclosure. The interference model shown in FIG. 18 is applied, for example, to a case where the primary system only performs reception. In the example of FIG. 18, the communication system 1 (primary system) includes a communication device 10 2 The communication device 10 is provided with a receiving antenna. 2 is, for example, a receiving antenna of a satellite ground station. The communication control device 60 of the communication system 2 sets the position of the receiving antenna as a protection point and controls the transmission power of the multiple communication devices 30 so that the cumulative interference at that point does not exceed the interference margin.
[0210] <<4. Primary System Protection Method>> Next, the primary system protection method will be described. As described above, the primary system protection method can be classified into, for example, the following two types: (1) Interference margin simultaneous allocation type (2) Interference margin sequential allocation type
[0211] An example of a primary system protection method of simultaneous interference margin allocation type is the method (e.g., a method for calculating the maximum allowable EIRP) disclosed in ECC Report 186. An example of a primary system protection method of sequential interference margin allocation type is the iterative allocation process (IAP) disclosed in WINNF-TS-0112.
[0212] The following describes a primary system protection method of "simultaneous interference margin allocation type" and a primary system protection method of "sequential interference margin allocation type." Note that the term "communication device 30" that appears in the following description can be replaced with a word that indicates another communication device having a wireless communication function.
[0213] <4-1. Simultaneous Interference Margin Allocation Type> First, the simultaneous interference margin allocation type primary system protection method will be described. Fig. 19 is an explanatory diagram for explaining the simultaneous interference margin allocation type primary system protection method. As described above, in the simultaneous interference margin allocation type, the communication control device 60 calculates the maximum allowable transmission power of the secondary system using as a reference value "a value that is uniquely determined by the positional relationship between the protection reference point of the primary system and the secondary system." In the example of Fig. 19, the allowable interference threshold of the primary system is I accept This threshold value may be an actual threshold value, or may be a value set with a certain margin (for example, a protection ratio) from the actual threshold value in consideration of calculation errors and interference fluctuations.
[0214] In the interference margin simultaneous allocation type primary system protection method, interference control means determining the transmission power (EIRP, conducted power + antenna gain, etc.) of wireless devices so as not to exceed the tolerable interference threshold. In this case, if there are many communication devices 30 and each is prevented from exceeding the tolerable interference threshold, there is a risk that the interference power received in the communication system 1 (primary system) will exceed the tolerable interference threshold. Therefore, the interference margin (tolerable amount of interference) is "allocated" based on the number of communication devices 30 registered in the communication control device 60.
[0215] For example, in the example of FIG. 19, the total number of communication devices 30 is five. accept The communication device 30 is allocated an allowable interference amount of 1 / 5. Since the communication device 30 cannot recognize this allocation amount by itself, it recognizes it through the communication control device, or obtains the transmission power determined based on this allocation amount. Since the communication control device cannot recognize the number of wireless devices managed by other communication control devices, it can recognize the total number by exchanging information with each other, and can allocate the allowable interference amount. For example, the communication control device 60 1 Inside 3I accept A tolerance of 1 / 5 is assigned.
[0216] In this method, the interference margin not used by the communication device 30 can become a surplus interference margin. FIG. 20 is a diagram showing how the surplus interference margin is generated. In FIG. 20, two communication control devices 60 (communication control devices 60 3 , 60 4 20 shows the total interference amount set for each of the communication devices 30 (communication devices 30) under the control of the two communication control devices 60. 7 ~30 11 ) to a predetermined protection point in the communication system 1 (amount of interference). The amount of interference obtained by subtracting the amount of interference caused by the communication device 30 from the total amount of interference caused by each of the two communication control devices 60 is the residual interference margin. In the following description, the remaining amount of interference is referred to as the residual interference margin. The residual interference margin can be rephrased as the amount of residual interference.
[0217] <4-2. Sequential Interference Margin Allocation Type> Next, a primary system protection method of the sequential interference margin allocation type will be described. As described above, in the sequential interference margin allocation type, the communication control device 60 calculates the maximum allowable transmission power of the secondary system using the "desired transmission power of the secondary system" as a reference value. Fig. 21 is an explanatory diagram for explaining the primary system protection method of the sequential interference margin allocation type. In the sequential interference margin allocation type, for example, the information processing device 50 stores desired transmission power information for each of the multiple communication devices 30. The desired transmission power information is information on transmission power that the communication device 30 requests from the communication control device 60 as information on transmission power necessary for transmitting radio waves. In the example of Fig. 21, the information processing device 50 calculates the maximum allowable transmission power of the secondary system using the "desired transmission power of the secondary system" as a reference value. 12 ~30 15 The communication control device 60 holds the respective desired transmission power information A to D. Based on the desired transmission power information A to D, the communication device 30 12 ~30 15 Interference amounts A to D are assigned to the respective
[0218] <<5. Operation of the Communication System>> Based on the above, the operation of the communication system of this embodiment will be described.
[0219] As described above, when communication devices 30 move at high speed, the relative speed difference between the communication devices 30 may become large. If the relative speed difference becomes large, there is a risk that interference with adjacent channels will increase due to frequency Doppler shift. If the interference becomes large, communication devices using the adjacent channels (e.g., communication device 10, base station 40, or other communication devices 30) may be unable to communicate. Furthermore, there is a risk that the high-speed moving communication device 30 itself may be unable to communicate due to a frequency shift into the frequency range of the adjacent channel. This may result in ineffective use of radio wave resources. The operation of a communication system for solving this problem will be described in detail below.
[0220] <5-1. Sequence Example> First, the operation of the communication system 2 will be described using a sequence diagram.
[0221] As described above, the communication system 2 of this embodiment includes a communication device 30, an information processing device 50, and a communication control device 60. The communication device 30 is, for example, a mobile communication device. In this case, the communication device 30 may be a mobile object having a communication function, or a communication device mounted on the mobile object. More specifically, the communication device 30 may be an aircraft having a communication function, or a communication device mounted on the aircraft. Alternatively, the communication device 30 may be a vehicle having a communication function, or a communication device mounted on the vehicle. Of course, the communication device 30 may be a fixed communication device. The information processing device 50 is a device that manages / controls the running / flight of the communication device 30. The communication control device 60 is a device (frequency management system) that dynamically manages the use of radio waves by the communication device 30.
[0222] In the following description, the communication system 2 includes a communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 The communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 At least one of the communication devices 30 is a mobile communication device (for example, an airborne communication device). 1 and communication device 30 2Here, the information about the movement of the mobile communication device (at least one of the communication device 30) is stored. 1 and communication device 30 2 In the following description, it is assumed that there is only one information processing device 50 and one communication control device 60, but there may be multiple information processing devices 50 and multiple communication control devices 60.
[0223] 22 is a sequence diagram for explaining the operation of the communication system 2. Below, an overview of the operation of the communication system 2 will be explained using the operations of the information processing device 50 and the communication control device 60 as an example.
[0224] The transmitting unit 531 of the information processing device 50 transmits information relating to the movement of one or more communication devices 30 to the communication control device 60. 1 and communication device 30 2 If both of the communication devices are mobile communication devices, the information processing device 50 may be, for example, 1 and communication device 30 2 If there are multiple information processing devices 50, each of the multiple information processing devices 50 may transmit information related to the movement of the communication device 30 that it manages to the communication control device 60. The communication device 30 itself may transmit information related to the movement.
[0225] It should be noted that the information transmitted by the information processing device 50 is not limited to information relating to movement. The information processing device 50 may transmit a request to use radio waves (frequency channels) for one or more communication devices 30. The information processing device 50 may also request transmission of a list of frequency channels available for use by the communication devices 30. The request to use radio waves and / or the request to transmit the list of available frequency channels may be transmitted by the communication devices 30 themselves.
[0226] The acquisition unit 631 of the communication control device 60 acquires information about the movement of one or more communication devices 30 (for example, 1 and communication device 30 2The communication control device 60 acquires the information relating to each of the movements of the users (step S1). Then, the communication control device 60 stores the acquired information in the storage unit 62. The information acquired by the communication control device 60 will be described in detail later.
[0227] Next, the calculation unit 632 of the communication control device 60 calculates the location of one or more communication devices 30 (e.g., communication device 30) based on the information about the movement of the communication devices 30. 1 and / or communication device 30 2 ) (or radio waves to be used) (step S2). 1 and communication device 30 2 The communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 The Doppler shift of at least one of the radio waves is calculated.
[0228] For example, if the frequency channel related to the application for use from the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30) is 1 a first channel (first frequency band) for the communication device 30; 2 In this case, the communication control device 60 determines whether the second channel (second frequency band) is a second channel for the communication device 30. 1 The first communication device performs a calculation (hereinafter referred to as a first calculation) regarding the Doppler shift when the first communication device uses a first channel, and the second communication device performs a calculation (hereinafter referred to as a second calculation) regarding the Doppler shift when the second communication device uses a second channel adjacent to the first channel. The calculation regarding the Doppler shift will be described in detail later.
[0229] The determination unit 633 of the communication control device 60 determines the use of radio waves (frequency channels) of the communication devices 30 based on the calculation results of step S2 (step S3). For example, the communication control device 60 determines the use of frequencies (frequency channels) of one or more communication devices 30. For example, the communication control device 60 determines the use of frequencies (frequency channels) of one or more communication devices 30 (for example, communication devices 30 1 and / or communication device 30 2) and make decisions regarding the use of frequencies related to dynamic frequency sharing.
[0230] For example, the communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 In this case, the communication control device 60 determines whether the communication device 30 is mobile or not based on the result of the first calculation. 1 uses the first channel, 1 The communication control device 60 determines whether the interference leakage power given to the second channel by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value based on the result of the second calculation. 2 When the communication device 30 uses the second channel, 2 The communication control device 60 then determines whether the interference leakage power that the communication device 30 gives to the first channel is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value. 1 a determination result (hereinafter referred to as a first determination result) as to whether the interference leakage power given to the second channel by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value; 2 and a determination result (hereinafter referred to as a second determination result) as to whether the interference leakage power given to the first channel by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value. 1 Furthermore, the communication control device 60 determines whether the communication device 30 will use the first channel based on the first determination result and the second determination result. 2 A determination may be made regarding the use of the second channel by the
[0231] In addition, the communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 It is also possible that one of the communication devices 30 is immobile or not moving. Even in this case, the communication device 30 that is immobile or not moving can be considered to be relatively moving from the perspective of the communication device 30 that is moving. 1 and communication device 30 2However, the communication control device 60 can also determine whether the communication device 30 is using a predetermined channel based on either the first determination result or the second determination result.
[0232] For example, the communication device 30 1 is a communication device that is immobile or not moving, and communication device 30 2 is a mobile communication device. In this case, the communication control device 60 calculates the mobile communication device 30 based on the result of the second calculation. 2 When the communication device 30 uses the second channel, 2 The communication control device 60 may determine whether the interference leakage power given to the first channel by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value. 2 based on the determination result (second determination result) of whether the interference leakage power given to the first channel by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value. 1 The communication control device 60 may also determine whether the communication device 30 is using the first channel based on the second determination result. 2 A determination may be made regarding the use of the second channel by the
[0233] In addition, the communication device 30 1 is a mobile communication device, and communication device 30 2 is a communication device that cannot move or is not moving. In this case, the communication control device 60 calculates the distance between the communication device 30 and the communication device 30 based on the result of the first calculation. 1 uses the first channel, 1 The communication control device 60 may determine whether the interference leakage power given to the second channel by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value. 1 based on a determination result (first determination result) of whether or not the interference leakage power given to the second channel by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value. 1 The communication control device 60 may determine whether the communication device 30 will use the first channel based on the first determination result. 2A determination may be made regarding the use of the second channel by the
[0234] Of course, the communication control device 60 is 1 and communication device 30 2 Even if both of them are movable, it is possible to determine whether the communication device 30 is using a predetermined channel based on either the first determination result or the second determination result. The determination regarding the use of radio waves will be described in detail later.
[0235] Then, the transmitting unit 634 of the communication control device 60 transmits information based on the result of the determination in step S3 to the information processing device 50 (or one or more communication devices 30) (step S4). For example, the communication control device 60 transmits information based on the result of the determination to the information processing device 50 (or one or more communication devices 30) as information based on the result of the determination. 1 and / or communication device 30 2 The communication device 30 may transmit information regarding the use of a predetermined channel (e.g., the first channel and / or the second channel) by the communication device 30. Here, the information regarding the use of the predetermined channel may include information regarding whether or not one or more communication devices 30 can use the predetermined channel. Furthermore, the information regarding the use of the predetermined channel may include information regarding operation parameters when one or more communication devices 30 use a predetermined frequency band. The information regarding operation parameters may be, for example, information regarding transmission power (e.g., information regarding the upper limit of transmission power).
[0236] For example, the communication control device 60 is connected to the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30 1 ) to the communication device 30 1 The information based on the determination regarding the use of the first channel by the communication device 30 may include 1 The information based on the determination result may include information indicating whether the communication device 30 can use the first channel. 1 The information may include information about operating parameters (e.g., information about transmit power) when using the first channel.
[0237] The communication control device 60 is connected to the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30 2 ) to the communication device 30 2 The information based on the determination regarding the use of the second channel by the communication device 30 may include 2 The information based on the determination result may include information indicating whether the communication device 30 can use the second channel. 2 The second channel may include information about operating parameters (e.g., information about transmit power) when the second channel is used.
[0238] The receiving unit 532 of the information processing device 50 receives information based on the result of the determination in step S3 from the communication control device 60. Then, the setting unit 533 of the information processing device 50 performs processing related to communication settings of one or more communication devices 30 based on the received information (step S5).
[0239] For example, the information processing device 50 may include the information processing device 30 1 If the information includes information indicating that the first channel is available to the communication device 30, 1 The information processing device 50 sets the communication device 30 to use the first channel in the received information. 1 If the information includes information about the operating parameters when using the first channel, the communication device 30 1 The information processing device 50 may set the operation parameters of the communication device 30 to the received information. 2 If the information includes information indicating that the second channel is available to the communication device 30, 2 The information processing device 50 sets the communication device 30 to use the second channel in the received information. 2 If the second channel is used, the communication device 30 may use the second channel. 2 The operating parameters may be set.
[0240] <5-2. Acquisition of Information Regarding Movement> Next, the above-mentioned step S1 will be described in detail. As described above, the communication control device 60 acquires information regarding the movement of one or more communication devices 30. For example, the communication control device 60 acquires information regarding the movement of one or more communication devices 30. 1 and communication device 30 2 Information about the movement of each of the devices is acquired. Note that if the information processing device 50 has transmitted a request to use radio waves, the communication control device 60 may acquire the request.
[0241] Here, the information regarding the movement of one or more communication devices 30 may be information ( ) regarding the flight plan of one or more communication devices 30. For example, the information regarding the movement of the communication device 30 may be 1 and communication device 30 2 The information about the flight plan may include, for example, the information shown in (A1) to (A6) below.
[0242] (A1) Flight plan approval request identification ID (A2) Flight plan approval request application date and time (e.g., UNIX time, UTC time, etc.) (A3) Mobile communication device user identifier (e.g., identifier of the information processing device 50) (A4) Mobile communication device identifier (e.g., identifier of the communication device 30) Device serial number Equipment authentication number (e.g., identifier indicating passing of equipment authentication such as FCC ID) (A5) Flight plan information Route information (latitude, longitude, altitude, etc.) Flight start time (UNIX time, UTC time, etc.) Flight end time (UNIX time, UTC time, etc.) Desired radio parameters (e.g., information on frequency channel (center frequency + channel bandwidth, combination of lower and upper limit frequencies, predefined channel identifier, etc.), transmission power (e.g., EIRP, etc.), etc.) (A6) Functional information of the mobile communication device (e.g., functional information of the communication device 30) - Travel speed (normal speed, maximum speed, minimum speed, etc.) - Operating frequency range - Maximum transmission power (EIRP, etc.) - Antenna information (antenna gain, antenna type, directional / non-directional, etc.) - Noise power
[0243] <5-3. Calculation of Doppler Shift> Next, the above-mentioned step S2 will be described in detail. As described above, the communication control device 60 calculates the Doppler shift of the communication device 30 (for example, the communication device 30 1 and / or communication device 30 2 The communication control device 60 performs calculations regarding the Doppler shift based on information regarding the movement of the satellite.
[0244] FIG. 23 is a diagram showing an example of a movement route of each communication device 30. Specifically, FIG. 23 shows the movement route of each communication device 30. 1 The travel route (travel route) and the communication device 30 2 1 is a diagram showing an example of a desired travel route (planned flight route) of a communication device 30. 1 and communication device 30 2 It is assumed that all of the above are flying type communication devices. 1 and communication device 30 2 For example, the calculations described below may be performed using communication device 30. 1 and communication device 30 2 The present invention is also applicable to cases where one or both of the above is a mobile communication device or a fixed communication device.
[0245] In the following description, the communication device 30 1 is flying ahead using channel 1 for communication, and the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30 2 ) is newly added to the communication device 30 2 Here, channels 1 and 2 are adjacent channels, and the center frequency (Hz) of channel 1 is f 1 , the center frequency of channel 2 (Hz) is f 2 It is assumed that
[0246] In consideration of the visibility of the diagram, the positional relationship of each communication device 30 is shown in two-dimensional space in the diagram. However, in reality, each communication device 30 moves in three-dimensional space. Naturally, each communication device 30 may move in two-dimensional space (for example, on land or water). In this case, the Doppler shift equation described below may be modified for two-dimensional space.
[0247] Each communication device 30 starts moving at a predetermined time and moves as shown by the straight or dashed lines in FIG. 1 is the time t start_1 to P start_1 23 and moves along the straight line shown in FIG. end_1 to P end_1 In addition, the communication device 30 2 is the time t start_2 to P start_2 23 and moves along the dashed line shown in FIG. end_2 to P end_2 shall be reached.
[0248] When considering the effect of the Doppler shift, the relative positions of the communication devices 30 are important. 1 and communication device 30 2 are close to each other (pattern 1), and the communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 In the following, we will explain how to calculate the Doppler shift in these two patterns.
[0249] <5-3-1. Pattern 1> First, the communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 This paper describes the calculation of the Doppler shift when two objects are approaching each other.
[0250] 24 is a diagram showing the positional relationship of the communication devices 30 when they are close to each other. As shown in FIG. 24, at a certain time t1, 1 Is, P 1_1 and the communication device 30 2 Is, P 1_2It is located in.
[0251] FIG. 25 is a diagram showing the positional relationship of each communication device 30 in a three-dimensional space. 1 However, for example, as shown in FIG. 1 , y 1 , z 1 ) and the communication device 30 2 However, for example, as shown in FIG. 2 , y 2 , z 2 )
[0252] In FIG. 25, the x, y, and z axes represent latitude, longitude, and altitude, respectively. i , y i , z i are the communication devices 30 i Furthermore, d indicates the latitude, longitude, and altitude of two points (x 1 , y 1 , z 1 ) and (x 2 , y 2 , z 1 ) and φ is the Euclidean distance (m) between the communication device 30 on the xy plane. 1 and communication device 30 2 The angle (deg) between the respective movement directions is shown. θ is the angle (deg) between the communication device 30 on the xz plane. 1 and communication device 30 2 The angle (deg) between the respective movement directions is shown in the figure. 1 The dashed arrow indicates the direction of movement of the communication device 30 2 The movement direction of the communication device 30 on the xy plane is shown. 1 and communication device 30 2 The positional relationship corresponds to the positional relationship shown in FIG.
[0253] Here, the positive direction of the x-axis in FIG. 2 communication device 30 as seen from the 1 The central frequency f of the radio wave used by 1_D can be expressed by the following equation (1).
[0254]
[0255] where c is the speed of light (m / s). 1 and v 2 are the communication devices 30 1 and communication device 30 2 The angle φ is the latitude x of the communication device i. i , longitude y i It is also possible to convert the latitude and longitude into x and y coordinate values and find cos(φ) as shown in the following equation (2).
[0256]
[0257] On the other hand, the angle θ can be calculated by the following equation (3).
[0258]
[0259] Alternatively, the latitude and longitude may be converted into x and y coordinate values to find sin(θ) as in the following equation (4).
[0260]
[0261] Next, the communication device 30 1 communication device 30 as seen from the 2 The center frequency f of the radio wave used by 2_D Here, the communication device 30 2 communication device 30 as seen from 1 The direction of the arrow is defined as the positive direction. 1 communication device 30 as seen from the 2 The center frequency f of the radio wave used by 2_D can be expressed by the following equation (5).
[0262]
[0263] Here, the communication device 30 1 Doppler shift (Hz) with respect to f D_1 , communication device 30 2 Doppler shift (Hz) with respect to f D_2 Let f D_1 and f D_2can be expressed as the following equations (6) and (7) based on the above equations (1) and (5), respectively.
[0264] f D_1 = f 1_D -f 1 …(6) f D_2 = f 2_D -f 2 …(7)
[0265] The effect of Doppler shift is 1 and communication device 30 2 and the center frequency of the radio waves transmitted by the communication device 30. The greater the difference in speed and the higher the center frequency, the greater the Doppler shift.
[0266] 26 is a diagram showing the Doppler shift in pattern 1. Specifically, FIG. 26 shows the Doppler shift in pattern 1 on the frequency axis. In FIG. 26, the communication device 30 1 communication device 30 seen from the 2 The Doppler shift is expressed as a positive direction. 2 communication device 30 as seen from 1 If the direction of is taken as the positive direction, the direction of the Doppler shift will be the opposite.
[0267] In this way, the communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 The Doppler shift when the communication device 30 is approaching can be calculated based on information about the movement (e.g., information about the flight plan). 1 and communication device 30 2 The Doppler shift when the communication devices 30 are approaching each other can be calculated using the route information (position information of each communication device 30 at a certain time), center frequency, and movement speed from the above-mentioned (A5) operation plan information.
[0268] <5-3-2. Pattern 2> Next, the communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 We will now discuss the formulation of the Doppler shift when the signals are separated.
[0269] 27 is a diagram showing the positional relationship of the communication devices 30 when the communication devices 30 are separated from each other. As shown in FIG. 27, at a certain time t2, the communication devices 30 1 Is, P 2_1 and the communication device 30 2 Is, P 2_2 The positional relationship in the z-axis direction is the same as in FIG.
[0270] Here, the communication device 30 1 communication device 30 as seen from 2 The direction of the arrow is defined as the positive direction. 2 communication device 30 as seen from the 1 The central frequency f of the radio wave used by 1_D and communication device 30 1 communication device 30 as seen from the 2 The center frequency f 2_D can be expressed by the following equations (8) and (9), respectively.
[0271]
[0272] When the communication devices 30 are moving away from each other, the relative positions of the communication devices 30 have changed compared to when the communication devices 30 are approaching each other, so it is important to note that the sign of the numerator and denominator is reversed.
[0273] Here, the communication device 30 1 Doppler shift (Hz) with respect to f D_1 , communication device 30 2 Doppler shift (Hz) with respect to f D_2 Let f D_1 and f D_2 can be expressed as the following equations (10) and (11) based on the above equations (8) and (9), respectively.
[0274] f D_1 = f 1 -f 1_D ...(10) f D_2 = f 2 -f 2_D …(11)
[0275] 28 is a diagram showing the Doppler shift in pattern 2. Specifically, FIG. 28 shows the Doppler shift in pattern 2 on the frequency axis. In FIG. 28, the communication device 30 1 communication device 30 seen from the 2 The Doppler shift is expressed as a positive direction. 2 communication device 30 as seen from 1 If the direction of is taken as the positive direction, the direction of the Doppler shift will be the opposite.
[0276] In this way, the communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 The Doppler shift when the communication devices 30 are separated from each other can also be calculated based on information about the movement (e.g., information about the flight plan). 1 and communication device 30 2 The Doppler shift when the communication devices 30 are separated can be calculated using the route information (position information of each communication device 30 at a certain time), center frequency, and movement speed from the above-mentioned (A5) operation plan information.
[0277] <5-3-3. Others> The communication control device 60 sets the sampling time τ and start_2 +τ, t start_2 +2τ, ..., t end_2 In this case, the communication control device 60 may calculate the Doppler shift on the route of each communication device 30 at each time t start_2 +τ, t start_2 Alternatively, the distance traveled by each communication device 30 at t + 2τ may be calculated. start_2 is a communication device 30 2 This is the start time of the flight.
[0278] Note that no Doppler shift occurs when the values of the numerator and denominator in the above-mentioned formulas (1) and (5) are equal, or when the values of the numerator and denominator in the formulas (8) and (9) are equal. For example, no Doppler shift occurs when the following conditions (B1) to (B4) are satisfied.
[0279] (B1) The speed of each communication device 30 is the same. (B2) The direction of travel of each communication device 30 is the same. (B3) On the xy plane, each communication device 30 moves on the same straight line. (B4) On the xz plane, one communication device 30 moves directly above another communication device 30.
[0280] Note that even under conditions other than those described above, when the numerator and denominator are equal, Doppler shift does not occur. Under such circumstances, the communication control device 60 may perform channel allocation without considering Doppler shift. Similarly, when the amount of Doppler shift is equal to or less than a predetermined value and its effect can be sufficiently ignored, the communication control device 60 may perform channel allocation without considering Doppler shift.
[0281] <5-4. Determination Regarding Use of Radio Waves> Next, the above-mentioned step S3 will be described in detail. As described above, the communication control device 60 determines the use of radio waves (frequency channels) by the communication device 30 based on the calculation result in step S2.
[0282] In the following description, for ease of understanding, the communication device 30 1 and communication device 30 2 24. Specifically, at a certain time t1, the communication device 30 1 is P shown in FIG. 1_1 and the communication device 30 2 is P shown in FIG. 1_2 It is assumed to be located at
[0283] Here, the communication device 30 1 has already been approved to fly using channel 1 for communication, and the information processing device 50 (or communication device 30 2 ) is newly added to the communication device 30 2 As mentioned above, channel 1 and channel 2 are adjacent channels, and the center frequency (Hz) of channel 1 is f 1 , the center frequency of channel 2 (Hz) is f 2 In addition, the communication device 30 2The user does not need to apply for a specific frequency channel, but may apply for a list of available frequency channels.
[0284] Under such conditions, the communication control device 60 takes into account the Doppler shift when making a decision regarding the use of a predetermined frequency channel for the communication device 30. For example, the communication control device 60 2 At this time, the communication control device 60 needs to determine whether the following conditions are met:
[0285] (First condition) Communication device 30 1 (Second condition) Whether the cumulative interference leakage power given to channel 2 by the communication device 30 is equal to or less than a limit value. 2 Is the cumulative interference leakage power that affects channel 1 below the limit value?
[0286] The cumulative interference leakage power may be calculated using, for example, a spectrum mask.
[0287] <5-4-1. Determination Regarding the First Condition> First, the communication control device 60 determines whether the communication device 30 1 It is determined whether the cumulative interference leakage power from channel 1 to channel 2 is equal to or less than the limit value.
[0288] FIG. 29 is a diagram showing an example of a spectrum mask. 1 Assume that the spectrum mask that P must satisfy is defined as shown in FIG. 1 is the communication device 30 1 is the EIRP in channel 1 of 2 is the EIRP in channels 0 and 2, which are adjacent channels of channel 1.
[0289] If no Doppler shift occurs, the communication control device 60 calculates the Doppler shift of the communication device 30 based on the spectrum mask shown in FIG. 1 It is also possible to calculate the interference leakage power that the channel 2 receives and determine whether the value is equal to or less than the limit value.
[0290] On the other hand, when a Doppler shift occurs, the communication device 30 1 The central frequency f of the radio wave used by 1ga f D_1 30 is a diagram showing the relationship between frequency and EIRP after the occurrence of a Doppler shift. More specifically, FIG. 30 is a diagram showing the relationship between frequency and EIRP after the occurrence of a Doppler shift in the positional relationship shown in FIG. 24.
[0291] The A1 portion of FIG. 30 represents a band where the power spectral density increases due to frequency shift caused by the Doppler shift. 1 The interference leakage power (dBm) from the Doppler shift to channel 2 increases, and this value may exceed the limit value. Therefore, the communication control device 60 takes into consideration the increase in power spectral density due to the Doppler shift and determines whether the interference leakage power (dBm) in channel 2 is equal to or less than the limit value γ using the following equation (12).
[0292]
[0293] Here, the left side is the cumulative interference leakage power in channel 2. i (t) is the communication device 30 at time t i This is the three-dimensional position information of L Path (p i (t), p j (t) [dB] is a communication device 30 i -30 j Naturally, the communication control device 60 may take into account shadowing due to structures and multipath fading in addition to the path loss.
[0294] Also, G 2,D (f) is the power spectral density (dBm / Hz) in part A1 of FIG. 30, G 2 (f) is the power spectral density (dBm / Hz) in part A2 of Fig. 30, and is calculated from the following equations (13) and (14), respectively, where f represents frequency (Hz).
[0295] G 2,D (f) = P 1 / Δf…(13) G 2 (f) = P 2 / Δf ... (14)
[0296] Here, Δf is the frequency resolution (Hz). 2,s and f 2,e represent the lower and upper frequencies (Hz) of channel 2, respectively, and f 2,m is f 2,s It is a frequency (Hz) shifted by the Doppler shift from . Note that in the above equation (12), the cumulative interference leakage power is calculated from the power spectral density, but naturally, other calculation methods may be adopted.
[0297] <5-4-2. Determination Regarding Second Condition> Next, the communication control device 60 determines whether the communication device 30 2 It is determined whether the cumulative interference leakage power from channel 1 to channel 2 is equal to or less than the limit value.
[0298] FIG. 31 is a diagram showing an example of a spectrum mask. 2 Assume that the spectrum mask that communication device 30 must satisfy is defined as follows: 2 P1 is the EIRP on channel 2. P2 is the EIRP on channel 3. P3 is the EIRP on channel 4. P4 is the EIRP on channel 0. P5 is the EIRP on channel 1.
[0299] If no Doppler shift occurs, the communication control device 60 calculates the Doppler shift of the communication device 30 based on the spectrum mask shown in FIG. 2 It is also possible to calculate the interference leakage power that the channel 1 receives and determine whether the value is equal to or less than the limit value.
[0300] On the other hand, when a Doppler shift occurs, the communication device 30 2 The center frequency f of the radio wave used by 2 ga f D_2 In the case of FIG. 31, the center frequency f 2 When the Doppler shift is shifted downward, the interference leakage power in channel 1 increases compared to when no Doppler shift occurs. Fig. 32 is a diagram showing the relationship between frequency and EIRP after the Doppler shift occurs. From the viewpoint of interference avoidance, the communication control device 60 assumes the case shown in Fig. 32 and calculates the interference leakage power in channel 1.
[0301] 32 represents a band in which the power spectral density increases due to frequency shift caused by the Doppler shift. Taking into account the increase in power spectral density due to the Doppler shift, the communication control device 60 determines whether the interference leakage power (dBm) in channel 2 is equal to or less than the limit value γ using the following equation (13).
[0302]
[0303] Here, the left side is the cumulative interference leakage power in channel 1. i (t) is the communication device 30 at time t i This is the three-dimensional position information of L Path (p i (t), p j (t) [dB] is a communication device 30 i -30 j Naturally, the communication control device 60 may take into account shadowing due to structures and multipath fading in addition to the path loss.
[0304] Also, G 1,D (f) is the power spectral density (dBm / Hz) in part A3 of FIG. 32, G 1 (f) is the power spectral density (dBm / Hz) in part A4 of Fig. 32, and is calculated from the following equations (16) and (17), respectively, where f represents frequency (Hz).
[0305] G 1,D (f) = P 3 / Δf…(16) G 1 (f) = P 4 / Δf ... (17)
[0306] Here, Δf is the frequency resolution (Hz). 1,s and f 1,e are the lower and upper frequencies (Hz) of channel 1, respectively. 1,m is f 1,sIt is a frequency (Hz) shifted by the Doppler shift from . In the above equation (15), the cumulative interference leakage power is calculated from the power spectral density, but naturally, other calculation methods may be adopted.
[0307] <5-4-3. Others> The communication control device 60 start_2 +τ, t start_2 +2τ, ..., t end_2 The communication control device 60 calculates the formula (12) and the formula (15) on the route of each communication device 30 at each time. If both inequalities are satisfied at each time, the communication control device 60 calculates the formula (12) and the formula (15) on the route of each communication device 30 at each time. 2 is granted the right to use channel 2.
[0308] On the other hand, at any time t start_2 +τ, if at least one of equation (12) and equation (15) is not satisfied, the communication control device 60 may recalculate the cumulative interference leakage power in another frequency channel. Also, the communication control device 60 may change parameters related to the interference leakage power and Doppler shift, such as the EIRP and flight speed, and recalculate the cumulative interference leakage power in channel 2.
[0309] The communication control device 60 determines the time related to the application for use (for example, t start_2 +τ, t start_2 +2τ, ..., t end_2 ) if the formula (12) and the formula (15) are satisfied, the communication device 30 2 In addition, if there is a part of the time related to the use request that does not satisfy the formula (12) and the formula (15), the communication control device 60 may determine that the communication device 30 can use the channel 2 only during the part of the time related to the use request that satisfies the formula (12) and the formula (15). 2 may determine that channel 2 is available.
[0310] The information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30 2) requests transmission of a list of available frequency channels, the communication control device 60 may take Doppler shift into consideration and calculate the cumulative interference leakage power of not only adjacent channels but also multiple other channels. At this time, the communication control device 60 may calculate the maximum EIRP and maximum moving speed so that the cumulative interference leakage power of each channel is equal to or less than the limit value γ. Then, the communication control device 60 transmits the calculated information to the information processing device 50 (or communication device 30 2 ) may be provided to the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30 2 ) controls operational parameters such as maximum EIRP and maximum travel speed of the communication device 30. 2 and use the channel.
[0311] In FIG. 30, the center frequency f 1 However, depending on the positional relationship of each communication device 30, the center frequency f 1 33 is a diagram showing a state in which the center frequency is shifted downward.
[0312] In this case, compared to the case where there is no Doppler shift, the communication device 30 1 The interference leakage power from channel 1 to channel 2 decreases as shown in part B1 in Fig. 33. Therefore, in a situation where no Doppler shift occurs, even if the cumulative interference leakage power in channel 2 exceeds the limit value, by taking the Doppler shift into consideration, there is a possibility that the channel can be used.
[0313] <5-5. Transmission of Information Based on the Determination Result> Next, the above-mentioned step S4 will be described in detail. As described above, the communication control device 60 transmits information based on the determination result of step S3 to the information processing device 50 (or one or more communication devices 30).
[0314] For example, the communication control device 60 is connected to the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30 2 ) to the communication device 30 2 The information based on the determination regarding the use of the second channel by the communication device 30 may include 2The information may include information indicating whether the second channel is available for use.
[0315] The communication control device 60 determines the time related to the application for use (for example, t start_2 +τ, t start_2 +2τ, ..., t end_2 ) if the formula (12) and the formula (15) are satisfied, the communication device 30 2 In addition, if there is a part of the time related to the usage request that does not satisfy the formula (12) and the formula (15), the communication control device 60 may transmit information that the communication device 30 can use the channel 2 only during the time that satisfies the formula (12) and the formula (15). 2 may transmit information that channel 2 is available.
[0316] The information based on the result of the determination may include not only information on whether a predetermined channel is available, but also information on the operating parameters used by the communication device 30. For example, the information based on the result of the determination may include information on whether a predetermined channel is available, such as the operating parameters used by the communication device 30. 2 The information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30) may include operational parameters (e.g., information about transmission power) to be used when the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30) uses channel 2. 2 ) transmits the operational parameters to the communication device 30 2 may be set to
[0317] As described above, the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30 2 ) requests transmission of a list of available frequency channels, the communication control device 60 may take Doppler shift into consideration and calculate the cumulative interference leakage power of not only adjacent channels but also multiple other channels. At this time, the communication control device 60 may calculate the maximum EIRP and maximum moving speed so that the cumulative interference leakage power of each channel is equal to or less than the limit value γ. Then, the communication control device 60 transmits the calculated information to the information processing device 50 (or communication device 30 2 ) to the information processing device 50 (or the communication device 30 2 ) controls operational parameters such as maximum EIRP and maximum travel speed of the communication device 30. 2 may be set to
[0318] <<6. Modifications>> The above-described embodiment is merely an example, and various modifications and applications are possible.
[0319] <6-1. Modifications Related to Communication Systems> Generally, in frequency sharing, an existing system using a target band is called a primary system, and a secondary user is called a secondary system. However, the terms primary system and secondary system may be replaced with other terms. A macrocell in a Heterogeneous Network (HetNET) may be called a primary system, and a small cell or relay station may be called a secondary system. Alternatively, a base station may be called a primary system, and Relay User Equipment (Relay UE) or Vehicle User Equipment (Vehicle UE) that realizes D2D or V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) within its coverage may be called a secondary system. The base station 40 is not limited to being fixed, and may be portable or mobile. The communication device 30 is not limited to being mobile or portable, and may be fixed.
[0320] Furthermore, the interfaces between the entities may be wired or wireless. For example, the interfaces between the entities (communication device 30, base station 40, information processing device 50, or communication control device 60) appearing in this embodiment may be wireless interfaces that do not depend on frequency sharing. Examples of wireless interfaces that do not depend on frequency sharing include wireless communication lines provided by mobile communication carriers via licensed bands and wireless LAN communications that use existing license-exempt bands.
[0321] <6-2. Modifications Related to the Communication Control Device> The communication control device 60 of this embodiment is not limited to the device described in the above embodiment. For example, the communication control device 60 may be a device having functions other than controlling the communication devices 30 / base stations 40 that use the frequency band in which frequency sharing is performed. For example, a network manager may have the functions of the communication control device 60 of this embodiment. In this case, the network manager may be, for example, a C-BBU (Centralized Base Band Unit) in a network configuration called a C-RAN (Centralized Radio Access Network) or a device that includes such a C-BBU. Furthermore, a base station (including an access point) may have the functions of the network manager. These devices (such as a network manager) can also be considered communication control devices.
[0322] Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, the communication control device 60 is a device that belongs to the communication system 2, but it does not necessarily have to be a device that belongs to the communication system 2. The communication control device 60 may be a device external to the communication system 2. The communication control device 60 may not directly control the communication device 30, the base station 40, or the information processing device 50, but may indirectly control the communication device 30, the base station 40, or the information processing device 50 via a device that constitutes the communication system 2. Furthermore, there may be multiple secondary systems (communication systems 2). In this case, the communication control device 60 may manage multiple secondary systems. In this case, each secondary system can be considered as a second wireless system.
[0323] <6-3. Modifications Related to Communication Device> In the above-described embodiment (<5-3. Calculation Related to Doppler Shift>), the communication control device 60 1 and communication device 30 2 However, the communication control device 60 may calculate the Doppler shift between two or more communication devices 30. Then, the communication control device 60 may determine the use of frequencies by two or more communication devices 30.
[0324] Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment (<5-3. Calculation of Doppler Shift> above), the communication control device 60 calculated the Doppler shift assuming that the communication device 30 was a mobile / portable communication device. However, this calculation of Doppler shift can also be applied to cases where the communication device 30 is a fixed type. In this case, in the Doppler shift calculation formula shown in <5-3> above, the velocity of the fixed type communication device 30 should be set to 0.
[0325] In the above-described embodiment, the multiple communication devices involved in the calculation of the Doppler shift (the multiple communication devices involved in determining the use of radio waves) are all communication devices 30 / base stations 40, but the multiple communication devices are not limited to the communication devices 30 / base stations 40. For example, some or all of the multiple communication devices may be communication devices 10 of the communication system 1. The multiple communication devices may also be communication devices of different communication systems. For example, some of the multiple communication devices may be communication devices 10 of the communication system 1, and other communication devices may be communication devices 30 (or base stations 40) of the communication system 2. Also, some of the multiple communication devices may be communication devices 30 (or base stations 40) of the communication system 2A, and other communication devices may be communication devices 30 (or base stations 40) of the communication system 2B.
[0326] Furthermore, the multiple devices involved in calculating the Doppler shift (multiple devices involved in determining the use of radio waves) are not limited to communication devices. They may also be devices / systems that use radio waves for purposes other than communication, such as radar systems and broadcasting systems. In this case, the description of the communication devices appearing in the above-described embodiments can be replaced with radio wave utilization devices.
[0327] 6-4. Modifications Related to Frequency Channels In the above-described embodiment, the communication control device 60 determines the use of frequency bands (frequency channels) related to dynamic frequency sharing. However, the frequency channels to be determined by the communication control device 60 (for example, frequency channels to be assigned to the communication device 30) are not limited to frequency channels related to dynamic frequency sharing. For example, the frequency channels to be determined by the communication control device 60 may be radio waves in a licensed band / unlicensed band that are not related to dynamic frequency sharing. Furthermore, the frequency channels to be determined by the communication control device 60 may be radio waves that are used primarily by the communication device 30 or the base station 40, rather than radio waves that are used secondary by the communication device 30 or the base station 40.
[0328] In addition, in the above-described embodiment, the first channel and the second channel for which the communication control device 60 calculates the Doppler shift are adjacent channels, but the first channel and the second channel do not necessarily have to be adjacent channels.
[0329] <6-5. Other Modifications> The control device that controls the communication device 10, management device 20, communication device 30, base station 40, information processing device 50, or communication control device 60 of this embodiment may be realized by a dedicated computer system or a general-purpose computer system.
[0330] For example, a program for executing the above-described operations is stored on a computer-readable recording medium such as an optical disk, a semiconductor memory, a magnetic tape, or a flexible disk and distributed. Then, for example, the program is installed on a computer and the above-described processing is executed to configure a control device. In this case, the control device may be a device (e.g., a personal computer) external to the communication device 10, the management device 20, the communication device 30, the base station 40, the information processing device 50, or the communication control device 60. Furthermore, the control device may be a device (e.g., a control unit 13, a control unit 23, a control unit 33, a control unit 43, a control unit 53, or a control unit 63) internal to the communication device 10, the management device 20, the communication device 30, the base station 40, the information processing device 50, or the communication control device 60.
[0331] The communication program may also be stored in a disk device provided in a server device on a network such as the Internet, and may be downloaded to a computer. The above-described functions may also be realized by a combination of an operating system (OS) and application software. In this case, the components other than the OS may be stored on a medium and distributed, or may be stored in a server device and downloaded to a computer.
[0332] Furthermore, among the processes described in the above embodiments, all or part of the processes described as being performed automatically can be performed manually, or all or part of the processes described as being performed manually can be performed automatically using a known method. In addition, the information including the processing procedures, specific names, various data, and parameters shown in the above documents and drawings can be changed as desired unless otherwise specified. For example, the various information shown in each drawing is not limited to the information shown in the drawings.
[0333] Furthermore, the components of each device shown in the figure are conceptual functional components and do not necessarily have to be physically configured as shown in the figure. In other words, the specific form of distribution and integration of each device is not limited to that shown in the figure, and all or part of them can be functionally or physically distributed and integrated in any unit depending on various loads, usage conditions, etc.
[0334] The above-described embodiments can be combined as needed to avoid inconsistencies in the processing. For example, the first response message and the second response message can be sent as separate messages. The order of the steps shown in the sequence diagrams or flowcharts of the present embodiment can be changed as needed.
[0335] Furthermore, for example, the present embodiment can also be implemented as any configuration that constitutes an apparatus or system, such as a processor as a system LSI (Large Scale Integration), a module using multiple processors, a unit using multiple modules, a set in which other functions are added to a unit, or the like (i.e., a configuration of a part of an apparatus).
[0336] In this embodiment, a system refers to a collection of multiple components (devices, modules (components), etc.), regardless of whether all of the components are in the same housing. For example, multiple devices housed in separate housings and connected via a network, etc., and a single device in which multiple modules are housed in a single housing are both systems.
[0337] Furthermore, for example, this embodiment can have a cloud computing configuration in which one function is shared and processed jointly by a plurality of devices via a network.
[0338] <<7. Conclusion>> As described above, according to this embodiment, the communication control device 60 makes decisions regarding frequency use (e.g., decisions regarding frequency channel allocation) taking Doppler shift into consideration. This makes it possible to suppress interference due to Doppler shift even in an environment where the communication device 30 is moving at high speed. As a result, more precise frequency sharing can be achieved, thereby realizing effective use of radio wave resources.
