Description

[0001] ANTI-BURST ATTACHMENT MECHANISM FOR A CYCLE OR

[0002] MOTORCYCLE BAG AND ASSEMBLY COMPRIS ING A BAG AND SAID

[0003] ATTACHMENT MECHANISM

[0004] The present invention relates to a hooking mechanism for a cycle or motorcycle bag, and to an assembly comprising a bag and said hooking mechanism .

[0005] With reference to Figures 6 and 7 , in the state o f the art , hooking mechanisms 500 of bags 520 for cycles or motorcycles are known, which provide a latch 531 and a hook 541 engageable with each other and respectively associated with the bag 520 and the frame 532 of a cycle or motorcycle or vice versa . In particular, the latch 531 is adapted to slide to engage or disengage with / from the hook 541 , making the bag 520 separably connectable to the frame of a cycle or motorcycle .

[0006] In these types of mechanisms , the movement of the latch occurs by operating a button 533 , which is placed in line with the latch 531 and pushes it in turn when operated, disengaging it from the hook 541 . The latch 531 , by sliding, compresses a spring 532 in order to return to its position as soon as disengaged from the hook .

[0007] These hooking mechanisms comprise a lock 550 which comprises a cylinder 551 rotatably mounted with the bag 520 and a cam 552 integral with the cylinder 551 . The cylinder 551 is particularly adapted to rotate , passing the cam 552 from at least one first position, wherein the bag 520 is disconnectable from the frame , to a second position, wherein the cam 552 is engaged with the button 533 preventing the bag 520 from disconnecting from the frame . In particular, the cam 552 has a tooth that engages with the button 533 to prevent it from being operated, i . e . , to prevent the button 533 from pushing the latch 531 by compressing the spring 532 and disengaging the latch 531 from the hook 541 .

[0008] Disadvantageously, it has been found that a strong blow struck to the button 533 , for example with a fist or a small hammer, can break the tooth, allowing the button 533 to be operated and thus to push the latch 531 . In Figures 6 and 7 , the cam 552 is shown with the broken tooth, i . e . , without a tooth .

[0009] Disadvantageously, it has also been found that even without breaking the tooth, it is possible to generate , by hitting the button, an amount of energy that can be transmitted to the latch 531 , causing it to slide suf ficiently to disengage it from the hook, according to the principle of Newton ' s cradle .

[0010] In both cases , the bag is easily pickable , as it can be disconnected from the frame even without the speci fic key .

[0011] An obj ect of the present invention is to make a hooking mechanism for a cycle or motorcycle bag, and an assembly comprising a bag and said hooking mechanism, which overcome the disadvantages of the state o f the prior art .

[0012] An obj ect of the present invention is particularly to provide a hooking mechanism for a cycle or motorcycle bag, and an assembly comprising a bag and said hooking mechanism, that are safer against possible picking operations .

[0013] In accordance with the invention, said obj ect is achieved by a hooking mechanism for a cycle or motorcycle bag according to claim 1 , and by an assembly comprising a bag and said hooking mechanism according to claim 10 .

[0014] Other features are provided in the dependent claims .

[0022] - Figure 7 shows an enlargement of portion B of the hooking mechanism of Figure 6 ;

[0023] - Figure 8 shows a side view of a motorcycle with a bag in a configuration connected to the frame . With reference to Figures 1 -5 , a hooking mechanism 100 of a bag 200 for cycle or motorcycle 300 according to the present invention, and an assembly 400 comprising a hooking mechanism 100 and a bag 200 are described below .

[0024] Instead, with reference to Figures 6 and 7 , a hooking mechanism 500 described above according to the prior art is shown .

[0025] In this description, the term bag 200 means both a hard bag, such as for example a case , as shown in the attached figures , and a soft bag .

[0026] In accordance with the present invention, the hooking mechanism 100 of a bag 200 for cycle or motorcycle 300 comprises a first body 10 which is associated with a bag 200 . The hooking mechanism 100 further comprises a second body 20 which is associable with a frame 301 of a cycle or a motorcycle 300 .

[0027] The first body 10 and the second body 20 are separably connectable to each other . Thereby, the bag 200 is separably connectable to the frame 301 of the cycle or motorcycle 300 .

[0028] In particular, the hooking mechanism 100 comprises a first hooking group 30 comprising a latch 31 and a second hooking group 40 comprising a hook 41 .

[0029] The first hooking group 30 and the second hooking group 40 are each associated with a respective body between the first body 10 and the second body 20 .

[0030] It should be noted that the latch 31 is configured to slide to switch from a hooking configuration to a release configuration . In particular, in the hooking configuration the latch 31 is engaged with the hook 41 . The hooking configuration corresponds to a connected configuration of the first body 10 to the second body 20 .

[0031] In other words , when the latch 31 is engaged with the hook 41 , the first body 10 and the second body 20 are connected to each other, making the bag 200 connected to the frame 301 .

[0032] Instead, in the release configuration the latch 31 is disengaged from the hook 41 . The release configuration corresponds to a disconnected configuration of the first body 10 from the second body 20 . In other words , when the latch 31 is disengaged from the hook 41 , the first body 10 and the second body 20 are disconnected from each other, making the bag 200 disconnected from the frame 301 .

[0033] In the attached figures , the latch 31 is shown in the hooking configuration .

[0034] In accordance with the present invention, the hooking mechanism 100 comprises a lock 50 which comprises a cylinder 51 . The cylinder 51 is rotatably mounted with the first body 10 . In other words , the cylinder 51 is adapted to rotate with respect to the first body 10 .

[0035] The lock 50 further comprises a cam 52 , which is integral with the cylinder 51 . In particular, when the cylinder 51 rotates , the cam 52 also rotates . The cylinder 51 is rotatable by a speci fic key .

[0036] In particular, the cylinder 51 is adapted to rotate to pass the cam 52 from at least one first position, wherein the first body 10 is di sconnectable from the second body 20 , to a second position, wherein the cam 52 prevents the first body 10 from disconnecting from the second body 20 .

[0037] The first hooking group 30 further comprises at least one elastic element 32 adapted to switch from a higher compression configuration, which corresponds to the release configuration of the latch 31 , to a lower compression configuration, which corresponds to the hooking configuration of the latch 31 .

[0038] The elastic element 32 is for example a spring .

[0039] In the attached figures , the elastic element 32 is shown in the lower compression configuration .

[0040] The first hooking group 30 also comprises a button 33 , adapted to abut with the latch 31 . In particular, the button 33 is adapted to pass from a resting position, corresponding to the hooking configuration of the latch 31 , to a pushing position, wherein the button 33 pushes the latch 31 from the hooking configuration to the release configuration .

[0041] In the attached figures , the button 33 is shown in the resting position .

[0042] In other words , when operated, the button 33 pushes the latch 31 which slides in turn compressing the elastic element 32 and releasing from the hook 41 . Once released the latch 31 from the hook 41 , the elastic element 32 returns to the lower compression position, causing the latch 31 to slide again in the opposite direction .

[0043] Preferably, the button 33 comprises an external portion 331 , which faces the outside of the first body 10 , and an internal portion 332 , which faces the inside of the first body 10 .

[0044] The button 33 is adapted to be pushed by a person acting on the external portion 331 , bringing the internal portion 332 into push on the latch 31 .

[0045] It should be noted that , in accordance with the present invention, the hooking mechanism 100 comprises a blocking element 60 associated with the first hooking group 30 .

[0046] The blocking element 60 is particularly configured to switch from a blocking configuration to an unblocking configuration .

[0047] In the blocking configuration, for example shown in Figures 3 and 5 , the blocking element 60 is adapted to be constrained with the latch 31 to prevent the latch 31 from switching from the hooking configuration to the release configuration . In other words , when the blocking element 60 is in the blocking configuration, this prevents the latch 31 from sliding in the direction of the elastic element 32 .

[0048] In the unblocking configuration, for example shown in Figures 1 , 2 , and 4 , the blocking element 60 is adapted to be unconstrained from the latch 31 and allows the latch 31 to switch from the hooking configuration to the release configuration . In other words , when the blocking element 60 is in the unblocking configuration, the latch 31 can slide in the direction of the elastic element 32 , thereby compressing the elastic element 32 and switching to the release configuration .

[0049] Advantageously, due to the presence of the blocking element 60 , the di f ficulties of picking the bag 200 increase .

[0050] Indeed, it should be noted that the blocking element 60 is handable from inside the bag 200 to switch from the blocking configuration to the unblocking configuration .

[0051] In particular, only when the bag 200 is open is it possible to access the blocking element 60 , thus preventing or al lowing the first body 10 from being / to be disconnectable from the second body 20 .

[0052] Therefore , in order to remove the bag 200 , it is necessary to open the bag 200 itsel f and bring the blocking element 60 to the unblocking configuration .

[0053] Advantageously, only a person provided with a key, and thus capable of opening the bag 200 , can access the blocking element 60 .

[0054] According to a first preferred embodiment , the first hooking group 30 is associated with the first body 10 and the second hooking group 40 is associated with the second body 20 .

[0055] In other words , the first hooking group 30 comprising the latch 31 is associated with the bag 200 while the second hooking group 40 comprising the hook 41 is associated with the cycle or motorcycle 300 . Thus , according to the first embodiment , the first hooking group 30 is installed in the first body 10 .

[0056] According to a second embodiment , alternative to the first , the first hooking group 30 is associated with the second body 20 and the second hooking group 40 is associated with the first body 10 .

[0057] In other words , the first hooking group 30 comprising the latch 31 is associated with the cycle or motorcycle 300 while the second hooking group 40 comprising the hook 41 is associated with the bag 200 .

[0058] Thus , according to the second embodiment , the first hooking group 30 is installed in the second body 20 .

[0059] Preferably, the blocking element 60 is rotatably mounted with the first body 10 .

[0060] In particular, the blocking element 60 is configured to switch from the blocking to the unblocking configuration by rotation . Preferably, the blocking element 60 is configured to switch from the blocking to the unblocking configuration by a 90 ° rotation .

[0061] Alternatively, instead of a blocking element 60 rotatably mounted with the first body 10 , a sliding cursor that engages and disengages the latch 31 can be provided . According to this alternative , the blocking element 60 is slidingly mounted with the first body 10 .

[0062] According to an embodiment , the cam 52 comprises a tooth 53 adapted to pass from a constrained to an unconstrained position .

[0063] In particular, in the constrained position the tooth 53 interferes with the button 33 . Said constrained position of the tooth 53 corresponds to the first position of the cam 52 , preventing the latch 31 from switching from the hooking configuration to the release configuration .

[0064] In other words , in the constrained position, resulting from the positioning of the cam 52 in the first position, the tooth 53 blocks the movement of the button 33 and consequently it is not possible to slide the latch 31 .

[0065] In the unconstrained position, the tooth 53 does not interfere with the button 33 . Said unconstrained position corresponds to the second position of the cam 52 , allowing the latch 31 to switch from the hooking configuration to the release configuration .

[0066] In accordance with an embodiment , the latch 33 comprises a protrusion 330 adapted to engage with the tooth 53 .

[0067] According to the present invention, even in the event of breaking of the tooth 53 or the protrusion 330 due to a strong blow struck to the button 33 , there is a further block to the sliding of the latch 31 , due to the presence of the blocking element 60 .

[0068] Figure 4 particularly shows the hooking mechanism 1 with the protrusion 330 broken, and with the blocking element 60 in the unblocking configuration .

[0069] Figure 5 shows instead the cam 52 with the broken tooth, i . e . , without a tooth, and with the blocking element in the blocking configuration .

[0070] Preferably, the latch 31 , the button 33 , and the elastic element 32 are placed in line .

[0071] Preferably, the latch 31 and the button 33 are configured to slide along a sliding direction Y .

[0072] Still preferably, the elastic element 32 is configured to compress along the sliding direction Y to switch from the higher compression configuration to the lower compression configuration .

[0073] Preferably, the blocking element 60 is interposed between the latch 31 and the elastic element 32 , to prevent the latch 31 from sliding towards the elastic element 32 .

[0074] More preferably, the latch 31 comprises a pushing head 310 which is transverse to the sliding direction Y . The pushing head 310 is positioned next to the button 33 and is adapted to be pushed by the button 33 . The blocking element 60 is particularly placed at said pushing head 310 , on the side of the elastic element 32 .

[0075] Preferably, the blocking element 60 comprises a matching head 61 having a first dimension LI and a second dimension L2 . The second dimension L2 is greater than the first dimension LI .

[0076] In particular, in the unblocking configuration of the blocking element 60 , the second dimension LI is transverse to the sliding direction Y of the latch 31 . In the blocking configuration of the blocking element 60 , the second dimension L2 is instead parallel to the sliding direction Y of the latch 31 .

[0077] The first dimension LI is such as to define an interspace H between the latch 31 and the blocking element 60 when the blocking element 60 is in the unblocking configuration . The interspace H particularly has a dimension such as to allow the latch 31 to slide to switch to the release configuration . In other words , the interspace H has a dimension such as to allow the latch 31 to carry out a sliding movement suf ficient to allow it to be disengaged from the hook 41 .

[0078] When the blocking element 60 is in the blocking configuration, instead, the second dimension L2 eliminates the interspace H, preventing the latch 31 from carrying out a movement suf ficient to disengage it from the hook 41 .

[0079] Preferably, when the blocking element 60 is in the unblocking configuration, the matching head 61 does not abut with the pushing head 310 of the latch 31 and is particularly spaced from the pushing head 310 by a dimension equal to that of the interspace H . Still preferably, when the blocking element 60 is in the blocking configuration, the matching head 61 abuts with the pushing head 310 of the latch 31 .

[0080] Preferably, the blocking element 60 comprises a lever-handable portion 62 facing the inside of the bag 200 . In particular, the lever-handable portion 62 is configured to manoeuvre the blocking element 60 to switch it from the blocking to the unblocking configuration and vice versa .

[0081] Preferably, the lock 50 is made in such a way that with a single lock 50 it is possible to both open or close the bag 200 , and disconnect or keep the first body 10 connected from / to the second body 20 . Said types of locks 50 are known .

[0082] Preferably, the hooking mechanism 100 allows the connection of the first body 10 , i . e . , the bag 200 , even with the lock 50 closed, and this is possible due to the fact that when the button 33 is blocked by the key, the latch 31 is still free to move if the blocking element 60 is in the unblocking configuration .

[0083] Still preferably, the hooking mechanism 100 comprises a compartment 11 . Said compartment 11 is adapted to accommodate the first hooking group 30 and the matching head 61 of the blocking element 60 . Preferably, said compartment 11 is also adapted to accommodate part of the lock 50 .

[0084] Still more preferably, the hooking mechanism 100 comprises a plate 42 to which the hook 41 is fixed .

[0085] In particular, according to the first embodiment described above , the first body 10 is reali zed with the compartment 11 and the second body 20 is reali zed with the plate 42 , which is fixable to the frame 301 . Alternatively, the second body 20 can be reali zed with the second hooking group 40 , comprising only the hook 41 . In this case , the hook 41 is directly fixable to the frame 301 of the cycle or motorcycle 300 .

[0086] The compartment 11 can be fixable to the bag 200 or integrated with the bag 200 , as illustrated below .

[0087] Alternatively, the compartment 11 can be fixed to the frame 301 and the hook 41 can be fixed to the bag 200 .

[0088] Another obj ect of the present invention is an assembly 400 comprising a hooking mechanism 100 , as described above , and a bag 200 . In particular, the first body 10 of the hooking mechanism 100 is integrated with the bag 200 .

[0089] Preferably, the blocking element 60 is mounted on an internal wall of the bag 200 .

[0090] According to an embodiment , the bag 200 comprises a lid 201 and a bottom 202 couplable to each other , defining a closed space openable by a key . The blocking element 60 is preferably placed at the bottom 202 .

[0091] In particular, the bag 200 comprises the above- mentioned compartment 11 , preferably placed at the bottom 202 .

[0092] In accordance with the present invention, preferably, the blocking element 60 is mounted on the bottom 202 of the bag 200 , with the matching head 61 inside the compartment 11 and the lever-handable portion 62 outside the compartment 11 and facing the openable closed space , to be accessible by a person provided with a key .

[0093] With reference to Figures 6 and 7 , the hooking mechanism 500 according to the prior art is free of a blocking element and therefore is easily pickable .

[0094] Due to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the transmission of motion between one component and another of the first hooking group when a blow of particular intensity is struck at the button, in particular, it is possible to prevent the movement of the latch, preventing it from disengaging from the hook . The invention thus conceived is susceptible to a number of modifications and variants, all falling within the scope of the inventive concept. In practice, the materials used, as well as the dimensions, can be any depending on the technical requirements.
