Abstract
Description
Massage machine
[0001] The present invention relates to a massage machine.
[0002] Conventionally, chair-type massage machines have been proposed that can raise and lower the backrest by inflating and deflating a raising and lowering bag provided at the rear of the backrest, and can rotate the leg rest by inflating and deflating a rotation bag (rotation means) provided at the rear of the leg rest (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
[0003] Patent No. 3686130
[0004] The chair-type massage machine described in Patent Document 1 requires the provision of a bag in each location, such as the backrest that is to be raised and lowered, and the footrest that is to be rotated, which increases the number of parts and increases manufacturing costs. The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problem, and aims to provide a massage machine that can recline the backrest and footrest in conjunction with each other at low manufacturing costs.
[0005] The present invention is a massage machine having a seat, a backrest, and a footrest, the backrest and the footrest being connected via a rocking mechanism, the rocking mechanism being composed of a link member and a drive unit provided on the front or rear side of the link member, and the drive unit being driven to move the backrest forward and the footrest backward, or to move the backrest backward and the footrest forward. With this configuration, the backrest and the footrest can be reclined at low manufacturing costs.
[0006] Preferably, the drive unit is configured with a front drive unit located in front of the link member and moving the link member rearward, and a rear drive unit located behind the link member and moving the link member forward. With this configuration, the backrest can be tilted rearward by driving the rear drive unit, and the backrest can be raised forward by driving the front drive unit.
[0007] Furthermore, it is preferable that the drive unit is configured with an air cell, which allows the drive unit to take up less space.
[0008] Furthermore, it is preferable that the seat be attached to a base that supports the seat, and that the base be provided with a swing-limiting part that limits the swing range of the backrest. With this configuration, the swing range of the backrest can be restricted so that it does not lean too far forward or backward.
[0009] Preferably, the drive unit is provided in the swing restriction unit, and this configuration allows the drive unit to take up less space.
[0010] It is also preferable that a pair of rocking mechanisms are provided on the left and right sides, so that the backrest and footrest can be reclined in a more stable state.
[0011] It is also preferable that the footrest portion is composed of a footrest body and a body support portion, and the rocking mechanism is attached across the backrest portion and the body support portion. By adopting such a configuration, it is possible to prevent the rocking mechanism from becoming large.
[0012] Furthermore, it is preferable that a third drive unit be provided between the footrest body and the body support unit for moving the footrest body in a direction away from the body support unit. With this configuration, the footrest body can be rotated further upward.
[0013] The third drive unit is preferably configured by an air cell, which allows the footrest body to be rotated upward with a simple structure.
[0014] According to the present invention, the backrest and footrest can be reclined at low manufacturing costs.

[0016] [Overall Configuration of Massage Machine] The overall configuration of a massage machine 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention will now be described. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the massage machine 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 is a view of the massage machine 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention as seen from the left. More specifically, this is a view showing the state before the backrest 4 and footrest 5 are reclined (the backrest 4 is raised and the footrest 5 is lowered), with the armrest 2 shown in a see-through state to make the structure easier to understand. Fig. 3 is a view of the massage machine 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention as seen from the left. More specifically, this is a view showing the state after the backrest 4 and footrest 5 are reclined (the backrest 4 is tilted backward and the footrest 5 is raised), with the armrest 2 shown in a see-through state to make the structure easier to understand.
[0017] 1 to 4, a massage machine 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention is comprised of a seat 3 on which a user sits, a backrest 4 on which the user leans, which is provided at the rear of the seat 3, a footrest 5 provided at the front of the seat 3, and armrests 2 attached to the sides of the seat 3. The massage machine 1 also has a massage section M (massage mechanism 6, buttock massage section 3a, leg massage section 5a) that massages the user, a control section 7 that controls the functions of the massage machine 1, and a controller 8 that performs various operations on the massage machine 1. Note that the arrangement of the massage section M is an example and is not limited to this.
[0018] [Configuration of Seat] As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the seat 3 is composed of a rectangular member that is elongated in the left-right direction. The seat 3 is attached to a base F3, which will be described later. More specifically, the base F3 is a part of the frame F and refers to the third frame F3. In other words, the base F3 and the third frame F3 are the same thing. A pair of buttock massage units 3a (massage units M) are provided on the upper surface of the seat 3, one on each side, for massaging the buttocks of a user seated on the seat 3. The buttock massage units 3a are composed of air cells A that expand and contract by supplying and discharging air. It is preferable that the left and right buttock massage units 3a are configured so that they can expand and contract independently. The configuration of the massage units M arranged on the seat 3 is an example and is not limited to this. For example, thigh massage sections (not shown) for massaging the sides of the thighs may be provided on the sides of the seat section 3, or thigh massage sections (not shown) for massaging the backs of the thighs may be provided on the front side of the seat section 3. Furthermore, the buttock massage sections 3a may be of different sizes, and a total of four may be provided in pairs on the front, back, left and right.
[0019] [Configuration of the Backrest] As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the backrest 4 supports the upper body of the user. The backrest 4 is composed of a rectangular member that is long in the height direction. A guide rail 16 is provided inside the backrest 4 (see Figure 1), and a massage unit M (massage mechanism 6) is provided via the guide rail 16. The massage mechanism 6 can move up and down along the guide rail 16 to massage the upper body of the user. The front of the backrest 4 is covered with a cover member (not shown), and the massage mechanism 6 can massage the back of the torso (e.g., shoulders, waist, etc.) of the user seated on the seat 3 via the cover member (not shown). Although not shown, air cells serving as the massage unit M may be provided in various locations on the backrest 4.
[0020] A pair of first pivot shafts C1 extending in the left-right direction are provided on the sides of the backrest 4, below the center. The first pivot shafts C1 are inserted into holes H1 provided in the frame F (more specifically, the fourth frame F4). In other words, the backrest 4 can be reclined (hereinafter, sometimes simply referred to as moved) in the front-to-rear direction relative to the frame F, with the first pivot shafts C1 as a fulcrum. Note that the backrest 4 is reclined in the front-to-rear direction by controlling the drive of the drive unit P using the control unit 7. The drive unit P, the pivot mechanism L, and the control unit 7 will be described later.
[0021] 2 and 3, the rocking mechanism L is configured to move the footrest 5 backward while moving the backrest 4 forward, or to move the footrest 5 forward while moving the backrest 4 backward. The rocking mechanism L is attached across the backrest 4 and the main body support part 50B. This prevents the rocking mechanism L from becoming too large.
[0022] The rocking mechanism L is configured by combining a plurality of components. The rocking mechanism L is configured with a first connecting rod 70 provided below the backrest portion 4, a second connecting rod 71, a first connecting member C2 connecting the first connecting rod 70 and the second connecting rod 71, and a second connecting member 72 provided at the end of the second connecting rod 71. The first connecting rod 70 corresponds to the link member 70, and the second connecting rod 71 corresponds to the link member 71. The rocking mechanism L is operated by driving a drive unit P. The drive unit P will be described later.
[0023] The first connecting rod 70 connects the backrest portion 4 and the second connecting rod 71. More specifically, the first connecting rod 70, which is provided below the backrest portion 4, has one end attached to the lower portion of the backrest portion 4 and the other end attached to the first connecting member C2. The first connecting rod 70 extends in the vertical direction and is inclined from the rear to the front. The first connecting member C2 is a member for connecting the first connecting rod 70 and the second connecting rod 71. The first connecting member C2 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The other end of the first connecting rod 70 and one end of the second connecting rod 71 are attached to the first connecting member C2. The second connecting rod 71 is attached to the first connecting member C2 so as to be freely rotatable.
[0024] The second connecting rod 71 connects the first connecting rod 70 and the footrest portion 5. More specifically, the second connecting rod 71 attached to the first connecting member C2 has one end attached to the first connecting member C2 and the other end attached to the footrest portion 5 (more specifically, the rear main body support portion 52 that constitutes the footrest portion 5) via a second connecting member 72 provided at the other end of the second connecting rod 71. The second connecting rod 71 extends in the front-to-rear direction and is inclined upward from the rear to the front.
[0025] In other words, the first connecting rod 70 is connected to the second connecting rod 71 via the first connecting member C2. The first connecting rod 70 has one end attached to the backrest 4, and the second connecting rod 71 has one end attached to the footrest 5 via the second connecting member 72 (the backrest 4 and footrest 5 are connected via the swing mechanism L). This allows the swing mechanism L (first connecting rod 70, second connecting rod 71, first connecting member C2, second connecting member 72) to move the footrest 5 in accordance with the forward / backward reclining of the backrest 4. In other words, the backrest 4 and footrest 5 can be reclined at low manufacturing costs.
[0026] [Configuration of the Drive Unit] The drive unit P is configured with air cells A that expand and contract by supplying and discharging air. By configuring the drive unit P with air cells A, it is possible to prevent the drive unit P from becoming large, and to save the installation space for the drive unit P. Two drive units P are provided. More specifically, there are provided two drive units: a front drive unit 74 that is located in front of the link member 70 (first connecting rod 70) and moves the link member 70 (first connecting rod 70) rearward, and a rear drive unit 73 that is located behind the link member 70 (first connecting rod 70) and moves the link member 70 (first connecting rod 70) forward.
[0027] The drive unit P is attached to the swing restriction units 80, 81. More specifically, the front drive unit 74 is attached to the swing restriction unit 80 attached to the base F3 (third frame F3). The front drive unit 74 (air cell A) is attached so as to be driven (expand / contract) with the lower side in the vertical direction as a fulcrum. The rear drive unit 73 is attached to the swing restriction unit 81 attached to the fourth frame F4. The rear drive unit 73 (air cell A) is attached so as to be driven (expand / contract) with the upper side in the vertical direction as a fulcrum. In other words, by attaching the drive unit P to the swing restriction units 80, 81, it is possible to save space for the drive unit P.
[0028] When the front drive unit 74 is driven, the front drive unit 74 moves from above to below. This causes the front drive unit 74 to come into contact with the first connecting rod 70. The first connecting rod 70 moves in a manner as if being pushed rearward by the drive of the front drive unit 74. Because the first connecting rod 70 is connected to the backrest 4, the backrest 4 moves forward (is raised forward) with the first swing axis C1 as a fulcrum. When the rear drive unit 73 is driven, the rear drive unit 73 moves in a manner as if being pushed forward by the drive of the rear drive unit 73. This causes the rear drive unit 73 to come into contact with the first connecting rod 70. The first connecting rod 70 moves in a manner as if being pushed forward by the drive of the rear drive unit 73. Since the first connecting rod 70 is connected to the backrest portion 4, the backrest portion 4 moves rearward (tilts rearward) with the first swing axis C1 as a fulcrum.
[0029] [Footrest Configuration] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 , the footrest 5 is composed of a footrest body 50A and a body support body 50B. The footrest body 50A is provided with a pair of left and right recesses 5b into which the user's legs can be inserted. Leg massage sections 5a (massage sections M) for massaging the user's legs are provided on the inner walls of both the left and right sides of the recesses 5b. The leg massage sections 5a are composed of air cells A that expand and contract by supplying and discharging air. More specifically, one leg massage section 5a is provided on each of the inner walls of the right recess 5b and one on each of the inner walls of the left recess 5b. It is preferable that each leg massage section 5a be configured to expand and contract independently. Furthermore, a sole massage section (not shown) for massaging the soles of the user's feet may be provided on the bottom of the recesses 5b.
[0030] The footrest 5 is attached to the front side of the seat 3. More specifically, the main body support 50B of the footrest 5 is attached to the seat 3 so as to be movable up and down via a shaft (not shown) extending in the left-right direction provided on the front side of the seat 3. The main body support 50B is composed of multiple members. The main body support 50B is composed of a front main body support 51 and a rear main body support 52. A third drive unit 53 (drive unit P) is provided between the front main body support 51 and the rear main body support 52 for moving the footrest 5 up and down. The third drive unit 53 is composed of an air cell A. By configuring the third drive unit 53 (drive unit P) with the air cell A, the footrest 5 can be moved (rotated) upward with a simple configuration.
[0031] More specifically, the rear surface of the footrest 5 and the front surface of the front body support 51 constituting the body support 50B are fixed to operate integrally. The third drive unit 53 (drive unit P, air cell A) is attached to the rear body support 52 so as to expand with the upper side in the vertical direction as a fulcrum. A swing mechanism L is also attached to the rear of the rear body support 52. That is, the swing mechanism L allows the footrest 5 to move up and down in conjunction with the reclining of the backrest 4. Furthermore, by driving the third drive unit 53 (drive unit P, air cell A), the footrest 5 can be moved in a direction away from the rear body support 52 (the footrest 5 can be rotated further upward).
[0032] [Configuration of Control Unit] Figure 4 is a block diagram of the massage machine 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Figure 4, the massage machine 1 is provided with a control unit 7 consisting of a microcomputer and the like for operating the massage mechanism 6 and the air intake and exhaust device 9. This control unit 7 is provided below the seat 3 and is connected to a controller 8 that is operated by the user. Various massage operations are performed by the user operating the controller 8.
[0033] [Configuration of Air Intake and Exhaust Device] The air intake and exhaust device 9 is composed of a pump 9a for supplying air to the air cells A (front drive unit 74(P), rear drive unit 73(P), etc.), and a valve 9b connecting the air cells A and the pump 9a. Air can be supplied to and exhausted from the air cells A by turning the valve 9b on and off. In other words, by turning the valve 9b on, an air flow path can be secured and air can be supplied to the air cells A. Furthermore, by turning the valve 9b off, the air contained in the air cells A can be exhausted. Note that the valve 9b connected to the drive unit P (front drive unit 74, rear drive unit 73) is preferably composed of a retention valve. By configuring the valve 9b as a retention valve, even when the power of the massage machine 1 is turned off, the drive unit P (front drive unit 74, rear drive unit 73) does not exhaust air and can maintain its inflated state due to the action of the valve 9b.
[0034] [Frame Configuration] Figure 5 shows the frame F of the massage machine 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, where (a) is a view from the left and (b) is a perspective view. As shown in Figure 5, the frame F is configured by combining multiple members. More specifically, the frame F includes a first frame F1 having a rod shape extending in the front-rear direction, a second frame F2 having a rod shape extending in the up-down direction, a third frame F3 (base F3) having a plate shape attached to the second frame F2, a fourth frame F4 having a rod shape extending in the up-down direction, and a fifth frame F5 having a rod shape extending in the left-right direction.
[0035] The first frames F1 are provided as a pair on the left and right with a predetermined gap between them. A fifth frame F5 is provided between the pair of left and right first frames F1. More specifically, the fifth frames F5 are provided on the front and rear sides of the first frame F1 (the fifth frames F5 are provided as a pair on the front and rear sides). In other words, the first frame F1 and the fifth frame F5 are combined with each other to form the shape of the Roman numeral 2.
[0036] A pair of second frames F2 extending in the vertical direction are attached to the front side of the first frame F1. More specifically, the second frames F2 are attached to the upper surface of the first frame F1, where the first frame F1 and the front fifth frame F5 are joined. A third frame F3 is attached above the second frame F2 (on the opposite side from the first frame F1). The third frame F3 is made of a plate-like member. The third frame F3 also serves as a base F3 for mounting the seat section 3. The seat section 3 is attached to the upper surface of the third frame F3. A first support member 80 for mounting the front drive unit 74 is provided behind the third frame F3. The first support member 80 is made of a plate-like member, and its left-right length is the same as the left-right length of the third frame F3. The first support member 80 serves as a rocking restriction unit 80. The swing restriction section 80 restricts the swing range of the backrest section 4 so that it does not tilt too far backward.
[0037] Additionally, a pair of fourth frames F4 extending in the vertical direction are attached to the rear side of the first frame F1. More specifically, the fourth frames F4 are attached to the top surface of the first frame F1, at the point where the first frame F1 and the rear fifth frame F5 join. The fourth frames F4 are generally L-shaped. As shown in FIG. 5( a), the front-to-rear dimensions of the fourth frame F4 differ between the upper and lower sides. More specifically, the front-to-rear dimension of the upper side of the fourth frame F4 is larger than the front-to-rear dimension of the lower side of the fourth frame F4. Note that the front-to-rear dimension of the fourth frame F4 is merely an example and is not limiting. For example, the upper and lower sides may be the same.
[0038] A hole H1 extending in the left-right direction is provided on the upper side of the fourth frame F4. A first swing shaft C1 provided on the backrest 4 is inserted into this hole H1. In other words, by controlling the drive of the swing mechanism L (more specifically, controlling the drive of the drive unit P) using the control unit 7, the backrest 4 and the footrest 5 can be reclined in unison.
[0039] A second support member 81 for mounting the rear drive unit 73 is provided on the underside of the fourth frame F4. The second support member 81 is a plate-shaped member, and its length in the left-right direction is the same as the distance between the left and right fourth frames F4. In other words, the second support member 81 is mounted across the fourth frame F4 located on the left side and the fourth frame F4 located on the right side. Mounting the second support member 81 ensures the strength of the fourth frame F4 in the left-right direction. The second support member 81 also serves as a swing restriction member 81. The swing restriction member 81 functions to restrict the swing range of the backrest 4 so that it does not rise too far forward.
[0040] Note that the combination of the frames F1 to F5 is an example and is not limited to this. For example, another frame may be combined between the second frame F2 and the fourth frame F4, or another frame may be combined between the first support member 80 and the second support member 81. By changing the combination of the frames F1 to F5 or by changing the number of frames to be combined, the strength of the frame F itself can be ensured.
[0041] [Interlocking of the Backrest and Footrest] The following describes the case where the backrest 4 is moved rearward from its forward position. When the backrest 4 is in its forward position (see FIG. 2), the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P) is in a driven state, and the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P) is in a deactivated state. More specifically, the air cell A serving as the front drive unit 74 is in an expanded state, and the air cell A serving as the rear drive unit 73 is in a contracted state. At this time, the first connecting rod 70 is pushed rearward by the drive of the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P).
[0042] From this state, the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P) is stopped, and the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P) is driven. More specifically, the air cell A of the front drive unit 74 is contracted, and the air cell A of the rear drive unit 73 is expanded. This causes the first connecting rod 70, which had been pushed rearward by the drive of the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P), to gradually start moving forward. More specifically, the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P) is driven (air cell A expands) in accordance with the timing at which the drive of the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P) is stopped, so that the first connecting rod 70 gradually moves forward by the drive of the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P). Note that by adjusting the drive amount (inflation amount of air cell A) of the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P) and the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P), the backrest unit 4 can be adjusted to any position desired by the user.
[0043] The lower end of the first connecting rod 70 is connected to the second connecting rod 71 via the first connecting member C2. Therefore, as the first connecting rod 70 moves forward, the second connecting rod 71 moves in a manner as if being pushed forward. The second connecting rod 71 is connected to the footrest 5 via the second connecting member 72. Therefore, as the second connecting member 72 moves forward, the footrest 5 moves upward, with the connection between the seat 3 and the footrest 5 as a fulcrum. In other words, by controlling the drive of the drive units P (front drive unit 74, rear drive unit 73), the backrest 4 and the footrest 5 can be reclined in conjunction with each other.
[0044] The case where the backrest 4 is moved forward from a rearward position will be described. When the backrest 4 is in a rearward position (see FIG. 3), the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P) is in a driven state, and the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P) is in a deactivated state. More specifically, the air cell A serving as the rear drive unit 73 is in an expanded state, and the air cell A serving as the front drive unit 74 is in a contracted state. At this time, the first connecting rod 70 is pushed forward by the drive of the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P).
[0045] From this state, the driving of the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P) is stopped, and the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P) is driven. More specifically, the air cell A serving as the rear drive unit 73 is contracted, and the air cell A serving as the front drive unit 74 is expanded. By doing so, the first connecting rod 70, which has been pushed forward by the driving of the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P), gradually begins to move rearward. More specifically, the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P) is driven (air cell A expands) in accordance with the timing at which the driving of the rear drive unit 73 (drive unit P) is stopped, and therefore the first connecting rod 70 gradually moves rearward by the driving of the front drive unit 74 (drive unit P).
[0046] The lower end of the first connecting rod 70 is connected to the second connecting rod 71 via the first connecting member C2. Therefore, as the first connecting rod 70 moves rearward, the second connecting rod 71 moves in a manner as if being pushed back rearward. The second connecting rod 71 is connected to the footrest 5 via the second connecting member 72. Therefore, as the second connecting member 72 moves rearward, the footrest 5 moves downward, with the connection between the seat 3 and the footrest 5 as a fulcrum. In other words, by controlling the drive of the drive units P (front drive unit 74, rear drive unit 73), the backrest 4 and the footrest 5 can be reclined in unison.
[0047] 6A and 6B are plan views of a massage machine 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention, in which (a) shows a state in which a pair of rocking mechanisms L are provided on the left and right, and (b) shows a state in which one rocking mechanism L is provided in the center. More specifically, in order to make the configuration of the rocking mechanism L easier to understand, the massage machine 1 is viewed from above in a state in which the armrests 2 and the seat 3 are removed from the massage machine 1 (the frame F is exposed). The difference between FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B is the number of rocking mechanisms L and the mounting positions of the rocking mechanisms L. The configuration of the rocking mechanisms L is as described above, so a description thereof will be omitted. The number of rocking mechanisms L and the mounting positions of the rocking mechanisms L will be described below.
[0048] As shown in FIG. 6( a), two rocking mechanisms L are provided. Specifically, a pair of rocking mechanisms L are provided symmetrically on the left and right sides when viewed from the center of the massage machine 1. By providing two rocking mechanisms L symmetrically on the left and right sides, the load that the rocking mechanisms L receive from the footrest portion 5 can be distributed. Furthermore, by providing two rocking mechanisms L, the backrest portion 4 and the footrest portion 5 can be reclined in conjunction with each other in a more stable state compared to when a single rocking mechanism L is provided. Note that the spacing between the left and right rocking mechanisms L is an example and is not limited to this. For example, the spacing between the left and right rocking mechanisms L may be wider or narrower than the state shown in FIG. 6( a). By widening the spacing between the left and right rocking mechanisms L, the backrest portion 4 and the footrest portion 5 can be reclined in conjunction with each other in a more stable state compared to when the spacing between the left and right rocking mechanisms L is narrow. By narrowing the distance between the left and right swing mechanisms L and increasing the size of the drive units P (air cells A), the number of drive units P can be reduced, thereby reducing manufacturing costs.
[0049] As shown in Fig. 6(b), one rocking mechanism L is provided. Specifically, one rocking mechanism L is provided at the center of the massage machine 1. By providing one rocking mechanism L at the center of the massage machine 1, the number of components of the rocking mechanism L can be reduced compared to when two rocking mechanisms L are provided, and the massage machine can be manufactured at a lower cost.
[0050] The configuration of the rocking mechanism L is one example and is not limited to this. For example, a link structure such as a pantograph may be used, or a structure combining an eccentric cam, gear, rack, etc. may be used. Furthermore, the size of the rocking mechanism L (such as the diameter of the first connecting rod 70 and the second connecting rod 71) is also one example and is not limited to this. Any structure may be used as long as it can recline the backrest portion 4 and the footrest portion 5 in conjunction with each other.
[0051] The present invention can be applied to a massage machine that can recline the backrest and footrest in conjunction with each other at low manufacturing costs.
