Abstract
Description
Helmet-type magnetic stimulation device containing endothelium
[0001] The present invention relates to a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device that performs non-invasive treatment by applying a magnetic field to the skull, and more specifically, to a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device that includes an inner skin that comes into contact with the skull when the device is worn.
[0002] Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a brain stimulation technique that uses localized magnetic field waves induced externally on the surface of the head to activate or suppress nerve cells in specific areas of the brain. TMS works by applying a strong electric current to an electromagnetic coil, generating a magnetic field of several Tesla in strength. This magnetic field's fluctuating energy is then transmitted to the brain, inducing depolarization in nerve cells several centimeters below the coil, thereby stimulating the brain.
[0003] TMS is a representative non-invasive brain stimulation technique, and its therapeutic application is being actively studied in depression, insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, movement disorders, dementia, and brain dysfunction that do not respond well to drug treatment and psychotherapy.
[0004] Typically, the recommended treatment time for TMS is once a day, five days a week, for approximately 20 minutes, requiring frequent treatments. For example, repeated magnetic stimulation treatments of approximately 20 to 50 minutes per day over several days have been reported to promote neuroplasticity, nerve regeneration, and functional recovery in patients with central nervous system disorders such as stroke or spinal cord injury.
[0005] However, existing transcranial magnetic stimulation devices are not portable, making it difficult to accommodate these treatment cycles within the domestic medical market. Therefore, there is a pressing need for a miniaturized TMS treatment device that can be easily used at home.
[0006] Meanwhile, hair loss refers to a lack of hair in areas where hair should normally be. This type of hair loss is known to be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, male hormones, stress, and environmental pollution. Recently, the number of young people in their 20s and 30s and women with hair loss has increased, emerging as a serious social problem. Interest in hair loss treatment devices is also on the rise.
[0007] Helmet-type hair loss treatment devices, which utilize laser diodes and other devices mounted on the treatment device's protrusions to generate wavelengths optimal for scalp growth, are gaining popularity as home-use hair loss treatment devices. These devices irradiate the scalp with laser light, allowing the light energy to penetrate the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, thereby activating various cell structures, including hair roots.
[0008] However, these conventional technologies have a problem in that their therapeutic effects are not high because they rely solely on light therapy using lasers, and they promote hair growth and prevent hair loss by activating the scalp's biological tissues through negative pressure by adding vibration therapy or ultrasound therapy. However, there is a problem in that the effect is not high because the method of activating the scalp's tissues through a method of combining the vibration or ultrasound is not great.
[0009] The purpose of the present invention is to propose a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device that can adjust the inner diameter of the helmet using an inner lining, taking into account the various head sizes of users.
[0010] In addition, the present invention aims to present a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device that allows a user to easily adjust the inner diameter of the helmet by applying a method of injecting or discharging a fluid (particularly, air).

[0015] In addition, the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device including the endothelium of the present invention can be formed so that the volume of the peripheral portion expands or contracts as fluid is injected or discharged.
[0016] In addition, the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device including the endothelium of the present invention may include a first region in which the fluid is injected to expand the volume, and a second region connected adjacent to the first region.
[0017] In addition, the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device including the endothelium of the present invention, the first region can be formed on the frontal lobe side or the occipital lobe side when the helmet-type stimulation device is worn.
[0018] In addition, the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device including the endothelium of the present invention may include a circumferential portion including a plurality of first regions, and the second region may be arranged to connect between the plurality of first regions.
[0019] In addition, the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device including the endothelium of the present invention may have a connecting member formed in at least a portion of the second region to connect the dome portion and the endothelium.

[0040] Hereinafter, the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.
[0041] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded view showing a case part (10) of a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view showing a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a drawing showing a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device according to one embodiment of the present invention as viewed from the bottom.
[0042] The helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) of the present invention provides non-invasive treatment by applying a magnetic field to intracranial nerve cells or scalp cells. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a case portion (10), a coil fixing portion (20), a magnetic generating coil (30), a cooling portion (40), and a coil cover member (50).
[0043] The case part (10) is a helmet-shaped case member mounted on the upper part of the human body, and includes a lower case part (11) that is positioned at a predetermined distance from the upper part of the skull, and an upper case part (12) that is joined to the upper part of the lower case part (11) to form an internal space (13).
[0044] The lower case part (11) and the upper case part (12) are formed to be convex upwards so as to come into contact with the human head, and can be mounted on the human scalp at a predetermined distance apart. The lower case part (11) and the upper case part (12) form an internal space (13) in which a magnetic generating coil (30) is installed, and a cooling space through a cooling part (40) therebetween.
[0045] The case part (10) may further include a blower cover (14) mounted on a blower (41) described later, and the blower cover (14) may be coupled to the upper case part (12) or the blower (41) as shown in FIG. 3.
[0046] The coil fixing member (20) is a member that supports or fixes the magnetic generating coil (30), and is formed on the lower case part (11) as illustrated in Fig. 3. The coil fixing member (20) may be formed as an integral part of the lower case part (11), or may be formed as a separate member and fixedly secured on the lower case part (11).
[0047] The coil fixing member (20) includes a first support member (21) formed to support the outer circumference of the magnetic generating coil (30) when the magnetic generating coil (30) is mounted on the coil fixing member (20), and a second support member (22) formed to support the inner circumference of the magnetic generating coil (30).
[0048] The first support member (21) and the second support member (22) are configured to support the magnetic generating coil (30) so that it can be stably settled in a set position, and serve to prevent the magnetic generating coil (30) from moving in a direction parallel to the lower case member (11). It is preferable that the first support member (21) and the second support member (22) be formed with a height corresponding to the height of the magnetic generating coil (30) or the coil diameter of the magnetic generating coil (30).
[0049] The first support member (21) may have a bend formed to facilitate the user's insertion or withdrawal of the magnetic generating coil (30) into or out of the coil fixing member (20).
[0050] In addition, the coil fixing part (20) may further include a third support part (23) formed between the first support part (21) and the second support part (22) to support the lower surface of the magnetic generating coil (30). The third support part (23) allows the magnetic generating coil (30) to be spaced apart from the lower case part (11) by a predetermined distance. The third support part (23) serves to form a space of a predetermined interval on the lower side of the magnetic generating coil (30) so that a fluid for cooling the magnetic generating coil (30) can flow in or out from the cooling hole (42) described later.
[0051] This third support member (23) may be a plurality of radial rib members connecting the first annular support member (21) and the second support member (22). However, the third support member (23) is not limited to the illustrated shape, and may have a shape different from that illustrated as long as it can support the installed magnetic generating coil (30).
[0052] The magnetic generating coil (30) is a member that is mounted on the coil fixing member (20) and generates a magnetic field, and is a coil wound to have a predetermined diameter. The magnetic field generated from the magnetic generating coil (30) can have its output adjusted to treat various indications such as depression, autism, dementia, insomnia, and hair loss.
[0053] Although the magnetic generating coil (30) in the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device of one embodiment of the present invention is exemplified as having an overall elliptical shape, it is not limited thereto. The magnetic generating coil (30) may be a coil wound to have various shapes such as a circle, an ellipse, a figure-of-eight, a disk shape, a polygon, or a butterfly shape, and it should be understood that the magnetic generating coil (30) encompasses the general shapes of conventional TMS coils.
[0054] The cooling unit (40) generates a flow of fluid, i.e. air, in the internal space of the case to cool the magnetic generating coil (30). The cooling unit (40) includes a blower (41) for blowing air to the magnetic generating coil (30), a cooling hole (42), and a fluid guide unit (43).
[0055] The blower (41) is installed in the upper case part (12) and generates an air flow in the internal space (13) of the case part (10). The blower (41) is a device that blows air into the internal space (13) to cool the heat generated from the magnetic field generating part (30), and includes a cooling means such as a fan or a blower.
[0056] The blower (41) is installed at the front or rear of the upper case part (12) and generates air flow in the internal space (13) by introducing air into the internal space of the case part or discharging air from the internal space.
[0057] The cooling hole (42) is an open hole formed in the lower case portion (11) to allow air to be introduced into the internal space (13) or to discharge air from the internal space. Referring to Fig. 4, it can be confirmed that the cooling hole (42) is formed by penetrating the lower case portion (11).
[0058] It is preferable that the cooling hole (42) be formed in the area between the first support (21) and the second support (22) of the coil fixing part (20). In addition, it is preferable that the cooling hole (42) be formed on the lower side of the magnetic generating coil (30). In addition, the cooling hole (42) may be formed adjacent to the second support (22) that supports the inner periphery of the magnetic generating coil (30).
[0059] The cooling hole (42) may be formed as an annular hole along the circumference of the annular second support member (22) as shown, or may be formed as a hole of any shape spaced at a predetermined interval.
[0060] When the cooling hole (42) is formed in the lower part of the magnetic generating coil (30), in the area between the first support (21) and the second support (22), and particularly adjacent to the second support (22) that supports the inner periphery of the magnetic generating coil (30), outside air can be introduced from the central lower part of the coil to cool the entire lower surface of the magnetic generating coil (30) and then discharged to the outside through the blower (41). This configuration and arrangement of the cooling part (40) is advantageous in that it can promote uniform cooling of the magnetic generating coil (30), which is a heating element.
[0061] In addition, the cooling unit (40) may further include a fluid guide unit (43) that guides fluid flowing in or out from the cooling hole (42). The fluid guide unit (43) may be a rib member that extends from the cooling hole (42) and guides the fluid. The fluid guide unit (43) defines an area through which air flowing in from the cooling hole (42) or air discharged to the cooling hole (42) primarily passes.
[0062] The fluid guide portion (43) may be a rib member installed in the lower case portion (12). The fluid guide portion (43) may be formed in a similar shape to the third support portion (23) that supports the lower surface of the magnetic generating coil (30). The fluid guide portion (43) may be a plurality of radial rib members formed between the first annular support portion (21) and the second support portion (22), and may be arranged alternately with the third support portion (23). However, the fluid guide portion (43) is not limited to the illustrated shape, and may have a different shape from the illustrated shape as long as it is a shape that allows the fluid introduced from the cooling hole (42) to be uniformly spread around the magnetic generating coil (30).
[0063] The cooling unit (40) described above, particularly the cooling hole (42) and the fluid guide unit (43), are technical features for maximizing the cooling performance of the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) of the present invention. The lower surface of the magnetic generating coil (30) is a part that is in close contact with the human body and is a part where heat generation is maximized. In particular, in the case of a cooling fluid circulation method in which the fluid introduced from the cooling hole (42) flows out from the blower (41), the cooling hole (42) and the fluid guide unit (43) are essential components that allow the low-temperature outside air to first contact the lower surface of the magnetic generating coil (30), and thus the cooling efficiency in this part can be greatly improved.
[0064] Meanwhile, the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a coil cover member (50). FIG. 6 is a drawing specifically illustrating the coil cover member (50) of the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0065] The coil cover member (50) is a member that covers at least a portion of the magnetic generating coil (30).
[0066] The coil cover member (50) is formed in a structure that partially covers the upper surface of the magnetic generating coil (30) when the magnetic generating coil (30) is secured to the coil fixing member (20), so that the magnetic generating coil (30) can be stably supported in the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) of the present invention. In addition, in the case of a cooling fluid circulation in which the fluid introduced from the cooling hole (42) flows out from the blower (41), the coil cover member (50) allows the fluid introduced from the cooling hole (42) to stay around the magnetic generating coil (30) for a predetermined period of time and then move, thereby improving the cooling efficiency of the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) of the present invention.
[0067] The coil cover member (50) may be formed, for example, of an elastic rubber material. In addition, a fluid guide protrusion may be formed on the inner surface of the coil cover member (50).
[0068] Meanwhile, the self-generating coil (30) may be a coil wound to have various shapes such as a circular, figure-8, or butterfly shape in addition to the oval shape shown in FIGS. 1 to 3.
[0069] When the self-generating coil (not shown) is an 8-shaped coil, the coil fixing member may include a first support portion and a second support portion capable of supporting the 8-shaped coil. The first support portion is a support portion that supports the outer circumference of the 8-shaped coil, and the second support portion is a support portion that supports the two inner circumferences of the 8-shaped coil. It should be clear that such modified forms may also be included in the scope of the present invention.
[0070] FIG. 5 is a drawing showing a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, viewed from the bottom, showing a state in which an inner skin (60) is coupled to the helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100).
[0071] Referring to FIG. 5, the helmet-type stimulation device (100) includes a dome portion (D), which is a space in which the user's head is accommodated when worn. The helmet-type stimulation device (100) includes an inner skin (60) that is inserted into the inner side of the dome portion (D) to adjust the inner diameter of the dome portion (D).
[0072] Below, the composition of the endothelium (60) is described in detail.
[0073] FIG. 6 and FIG. 7 are perspective views illustrating an inner skin (60) coupled to a helmet-type magnetic stimulation device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 8 is a drawing illustrating a state in which fluid from the inner skin (60) is discharged.
[0074] Referring to FIGS. 6 to 8, the endothelium (60) includes a peripheral portion (61), a connecting portion (62), and an injection portion (63).
[0075] The peripheral portion (61) is arranged in an area that surrounds the two dome portions (D) in an annular shape to adjust the inner diameter of the dome portion (D). For example, the peripheral portion (61) may be formed by forming a belt-shaped member in an annular shape.
[0076] The circumference (61) is formed so that its volume expands or contracts as fluid is injected or discharged. Here, the fluid is preferably air or gas.
[0077] The periphery (61) includes a first region (611) into which a fluid is injected and the volume is expanded, and a second region (612) adjacent to and connected to the first region (611).
[0078] The first region (611) is a region where air is injected and the volume expands, and is a part for adjusting the inner diameter of the dome portion (D). The circumference portion (61) may include a plurality of first regions (611). When the helmet-type stimulation device (100) is worn, the first regions (611) are preferably formed on the frontal lobe side or the occipital lobe side.
[0079] A second region (612) is formed to connect between a plurality of first regions (611). The second region (612) may be a region into which no fluid is injected. A connecting member (613) connecting the dome portion (D) and the inner skin (60) may be formed in at least a portion of the second region (612). For example, the connecting member (613) may be a Velcro member.
[0080] The connecting portion (62) is a belt-shaped portion connected to one end and the other end of the peripheral portion (61). The connecting portion (62) connects across the upper side of the opening formed by the peripheral portion (61). The length of the connecting portion (62) is formed to be longer than the diameter of the peripheral portion (61), so that it can protrude upward from the opening formed by the peripheral portion. The connecting portion (62) is a portion that wraps around the two upper sides when the helmet-type stimulation device (100) is worn.
[0081] Meanwhile, the connecting portion (62) is not limited to being formed in a belt shape, but may also be formed in a dome shape that extends from the edge of the peripheral portion (61) and covers the front surface of the dome portion (D).
[0082] The connecting portion (62) is formed of a mesh material. As illustrated in FIG. 4, since the cooling hole (42) is formed by penetrating the lower case portion (11), when the inner casing (60) is mounted, the connecting portion (62) is positioned to partially cover the cooling hole (42). Therefore, it is preferable that the connecting portion (62) be formed of a mesh material so as not to impede the flow of fluid through the cooling hole (42).
[0083] Meanwhile, the connecting portion (62) may have a hole formed corresponding to the area of the cooling hole (42).
[0084] The injection portion (63) is a portion that injects or discharges fluid into or through the peripheral portion (61). The injection portion (63) may be formed to extend from one side of the first region (611) so as to inject or discharge fluid into or through the first region (611). The injection portion (63) may include an injection member (631) that is an opening through which air is injected.
[0085] Meanwhile, referring to FIG. 8, the inner lining (60) included in the helmet-type stimulation device (100) of the present invention can discharge all fluid within it. The inner lining (60) can exist in a state separated from the helmet-type stimulation device (100). The inner lining (60) is a disposable product and can be a part that is detachable and replaceable depending on the use of the helmet-type stimulation device (100).
[0086] Although embodiments of the present invention have been described with reference to the attached drawings, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the present invention can be implemented in other specific forms without altering the technical spirit or essential characteristics of the present invention. Therefore, the embodiments described above should be understood to be illustrative in all respects and not restrictive.
