Abstract
Description
A connecting device that detachably connects the display and stand
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a connecting device that detachably connects a display and a stand.
[0002] In general, a display is a device that displays a screen, such as a monitor or television. Display devices use self-luminous display panels, such as organic light-emitting diodes or micro light-emitting diodes, and water-emissive display panels, such as liquid crystal display panels.
[0003] Displays can be categorized into wall-mounted displays, which are mounted on a wall, and free-standing displays, which are placed on the floor. Free-standing displays may include a stand to support the display so that it can be placed on the floor. Typically, the top of the stand is connected to the back of the display, supporting it.
[0004] The stand can be detachably mounted on the back of the display via a connecting device. Recently, a one-step mounting structure has been developed to facilitate the connection between the stand and the display, allowing the stand to be attached to the display without separate screws. However, this one-step mounting structure increases the thickness of the display mounting portion and the connecting device, making the structure complex. Consequently, this one-step mounting structure between the display and the stand has the problem of not contributing to a slimmer display.
[0005] A connecting device for connecting a display and a stand according to one or more embodiments may include: a plurality of engaging protrusions provided on the display; and a mounting unit connected to the stand so as to connect the display and the stand, the mounting unit including a plurality of hooks each engaged with the plurality of engaging protrusions. Some of the hooks among the plurality of hooks may move in a first direction to engage with the plurality of engaging protrusions, and may move in a second direction opposite to the first direction to be detachable from the plurality of engaging protrusions.
[0006] The above plurality of coupling protrusions may include a first coupling protrusion and a second coupling protrusion arranged on a rear chassis of the display; and a third coupling protrusion and a fourth coupling protrusion arranged on a lower side of the first and second coupling protrusions and spaced apart from the first and second coupling protrusions.
[0007] Each of the above-described plurality of coupling protrusions may include a pillar portion fixedly arranged to the rear chassis; and a head portion having a diameter larger than the diameter of the pillar portion.
[0008] The above-described plurality of connecting projections may be rivet nuts or pop nuts.
[0009] The above plurality of hooks may include first hooks and second hooks corresponding to the first coupling protrusion and the second coupling protrusion, respectively; and third hooks and fourth hooks corresponding to the third coupling protrusion and the fourth coupling protrusion, respectively.
[0010] The mounting unit may include: a body; a support plate coupled to the body and having the first hook and the second hook integrally formed therewith; and a slider slidably connected to the support plate so as to move in a direction adjacent to the first hook and the second hook and in a direction away from the first hook and the second hook, and having the third hook and the fourth hook integrally formed therewith.
[0011] The above slider can be elastically supported on the support plate in a direction away from the first hook and the second hook.
[0012] The above mounting unit may include at least one elastic member connected between the slider and the support plate.
[0013] The above slider may further include an operating knob penetrating the body and moving the slider.
[0014] The plurality of coupling protrusions may include at least three first coupling protrusions provided on the rear chassis of the display; and at least three second coupling protrusions spaced apart from the lower sides of the at least three first coupling protrusions. The plurality of hooks may include at least three first hooks corresponding to the at least three first coupling protrusions; and at least three second hooks corresponding to the at least three second coupling protrusions.
[0015] A connecting device according to one or more embodiments may further include a pair of reinforcing plates coupled to one side of the rear chassis. The material of the pair of reinforcing plates may be aluminum.
[0016] The above mounting unit may further include a fixing member having one end connected to the upper end of the stand and the other end rotatably connected to the support plate.
[0017] The above support plate may further include a limiting projection extending toward the fixing portion. The fixing portion may further include at least one catch that interferes with the limiting projection and limits the rotation angle of the fixing portion.
[0018] A connecting device for connecting a display and a stand according to one or more embodiments may include: a first coupling protrusion, a second coupling protrusion, and a third coupling protrusion and a fourth coupling protrusion disposed lower than the first coupling protrusion and the second coupling protrusion, which are disposed on a mounting portion provided on the rear surface of the display; and a mounting unit having one side connected to the stand and the other side detachably mounted to the mounting portion. The mounting unit may include: a support plate including a first hook and a second hook detachably coupled to the first coupling protrusion and the second coupling protrusion; a slider having a third hook and a fourth hook detachably coupled to the third coupling protrusion and the fourth coupling protrusion, and slidably connected to the support plate; and a body coupled to the support plate.
[0019] The above mounting unit may further include a first elastic member and a second elastic member that elastically support the slider along a direction in which the slider moves away from the first hook and the second hook.

[0039] Hereinafter, a display stand according to one or more embodiments will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.
[0040] FIG. 1 is a drawing showing an example in which a display and a stand are connected by a connecting device according to one or more embodiments.
[0041] Referring to FIG. 1, a connecting device (100) can detachably connect a display (10) and a stand (30). The connecting device (100) can contribute to slimming down the display (10) by improving or minimizing the thickness (T1) of the display (10) and the thickness (T2) of the connecting device (100) through a structure described below. The connecting device (100) can include a mounting unit (101) connected to a fixed frame (30a) provided at the top of the stand (30), and first, second, third, and fourth coupling protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164, see FIG. 4) provided on a rear chassis (15) of the display (10).
[0042] Figure 2 is an exploded view showing a mounting unit of a connecting device according to one or more embodiments and a mounting portion of a display to which the mounting unit is detachably connected. Figure 3 is an enlarged view showing an example in which a plurality of coupling protrusions of a connecting device according to one or more embodiments are provided on a rear chassis.
[0043] Referring to FIG. 2, the mounting unit (101) may include a body (110) and a fixing member (150) rotatably connected to the body (110).
[0044] The body (110) can be inserted into the mounting portion (20) of the display (10) formed in a home shape. The depth of the mounting portion (20) of the display (10) and the thickness of the body (110) of the mounting unit (101) can be the same. When the body (110) of the mounting unit (101) is inserted into the mounting portion (20) of the display (10), the body (110) of the mounting unit (101) does not protrude from the mounting portion (20) of the display (10), thereby providing a slim design feel.
[0045] The mounting portion (20) of the display (10) may be provided on the rear cover (11) of the display (10). The rear chassis (15) of the display (10) may be arranged on the inside of the rear cover (11). A first coupling hole (31) and a second coupling hole (32) may be provided on the mounting portion (20) of the display (10). The first coupling hole (31) and the second coupling hole (32) may be positioned at the same height with an interval along the Y-axis.
[0046] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, a first hook (131) provided in a mounting unit (101) can be detachably inserted into a first coupling hole (31). The first coupling hole (31) can be positioned at a position corresponding to a first coupling protrusion (161) provided in a rear chassis (15) within the mounting portion (20) of the display (10). The first hook (131) of the mounting unit (101) can be inserted into the first coupling hole (31) and then coupled to the first coupling protrusion (161). A second hook (132) provided in the mounting unit (101) can be detachably inserted into a second coupling hole (32). The second coupling hole (32) can be positioned at a position corresponding to a second coupling protrusion (162) provided in a rear chassis (15) within the mounting portion (20) of the display (10). The second hook (132) of the mounting unit (101) can be inserted into the second coupling hole (32) and then coupled to the second coupling protrusion (162).
[0047] A guide groove (21) may be provided in the mounting portion (20) of the display (10) into which a slider (140, see FIG. 6) provided in the mounting unit (101) may be inserted so as to be movable along the Z-axis. A third coupling hole (33) and a fourth coupling hole (34) may be provided in the guide groove (21). The third coupling hole (33) and the fourth coupling hole (34) may be positioned at the same height with an interval along the Y-axis.
[0048] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, a third hook (133) provided in the mounting unit (101) can be detachably inserted into the third coupling hole (33). The third coupling hole (33) can be positioned at a position corresponding to the third coupling protrusion (163) provided in the rear chassis (15) within the mounting portion (20) of the display (10). The third hook (133) of the mounting unit (101) can be inserted into the third coupling hole (33) and then coupled to the third coupling protrusion (163). A fourth hook (134) provided in the mounting unit (101) can be detachably inserted into the fourth coupling hole (34). The fourth coupling hole (34) can be positioned at a position corresponding to the fourth coupling protrusion (164) provided in the rear chassis (15) within the mounting portion (20) of the display (10). The fourth hook (134) of the mounting unit (101) can be inserted into the fourth coupling hole (34) and then coupled to the fourth coupling protrusion (164).
[0049] The first and second coupling holes (31, 32) may be positioned higher along the Z-axis direction than the third and fourth coupling holes (33, 34). The first and second coupling protrusions (161, 162) may be positioned higher along the Z-axis direction than the first and second coupling holes (31, 32). The third and fourth coupling protrusions (163, 164) may be positioned lower along the Z-axis direction than the third and fourth coupling holes (33, 34). The positions of the first, second, third, and fourth coupling protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164) corresponding to the first, second, third, and fourth coupling holes (31, 32, 33, 34) respectively take into account the direction in which the first, second, third, and fourth hooks (131, 132, 133, 134) are coupled to the corresponding first, second, third, and fourth coupling protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164) respectively. For example, the first and second hooks (131, 132) can be inserted into the first and second coupling holes (31, 32) and then coupled upwardly along the Z-axis to the first and second coupling protrusions (161, 162). The third and fourth hooks (133, 134) can be inserted into the third and fourth coupling holes (33, 34) and then coupled downwardly along the Z-axis to the third and fourth coupling protrusions (163, 164). In this way, since the coupling directions of the first and second hooks (131, 132) and the coupling directions of the third and fourth hooks (133, 134) are opposite to each other, the mounting unit (101) can be stably mounted to the mounting portion (20) of the display (10).
[0050] Referring to FIG. 3, the first, second, third, and fourth coupling protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164) may each protrude to a predetermined height on one surface of the rear chassis (15) facing the mounting portion (20) of the display (10). The first, second, third, and fourth coupling protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164) may each have a pillar portion and a head portion. The head portion may have a larger diameter than the pillar portion. When the first, second, third, and fourth hooks (131, 132, 133, 134) are respectively engaged with the first, second, third, and fourth engaging protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164), the movement of the first, second, third, and fourth hooks (131, 132, 133, 134) in the Y-axis direction may be interfered with by the heads of the first, second, third, and fourth engaging protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164). Accordingly, the first, second, third, and fourth hooks (131, 132, 133, 134) may not be separated from the first, second, third, and fourth engaging protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164) along the Y-axis direction.
[0051] The first, second, third, and fourth coupling protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164) may be, for example, rivet nuts or pop nuts that are firmly coupled to the rear chassis (15) without deforming the rear chassis (15) having a thin thickness of about 0.5 mm.
[0052] FIG. 4 is an exploded view showing an example of a reinforcement plate coupled to a rear chassis of a display according to one or more embodiments.
[0053] Referring to FIG. 4, since the rear chassis (15) is thin, a first reinforcing plate (41) and a second reinforcing plate (42) can be combined on one side of the rear chassis (15) (in the direction facing the front of the display (10)) so that the mounting unit (101) can be stably supported when mounted on the mounting portion (20) of the display (10).
[0054] The first reinforcing plate (41) can be arranged along the Z-axis direction in the first region (16) of the rear chassis (15). The first reinforcing plate (41) can be arranged between the first coupling protrusion (161) and the third coupling protrusion (163). The second reinforcing plate (42) can be arranged along the Z-axis direction in the second region (17) of the rear chassis (15). The second reinforcing plate (42) can be arranged between the second coupling protrusion (162) and the fourth coupling protrusion (164).
[0055] The first and second reinforcing plates (41, 42) may be made of a metal (e.g., aluminum) that is rigid and lightweight so as to minimize an increase in the weight of the display (10). The first and second reinforcing plates (41, 42) may be joined to the first and second areas (16, 17) of the rear chassis (15), respectively, by welding or riveting.
[0056] FIG. 5 is an exploded view illustrating a mounting unit of a connecting device according to one or more embodiments. FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating a connecting device according to one or more embodiments. FIG. 7 is a perspective view illustrating a support plate of a mounting unit of a connecting device according to one or more embodiments. FIG. 8 is a perspective view illustrating a fixing portion of a mounting unit of a connecting device according to one or more embodiments.
[0057] Referring to FIG. 5, the mounting unit (101) may include a body (110), a support plate (120), a slider (140) that is slidably provided on the support plate (120), and a fixing member (150) that is rotatably coupled to the support plate (120).
[0058] The body (110) can be connected to the support plate (120) by a plurality of screws (181). The body (110) can be provided with an insertion hole (111) into which a fixing member (150) is inserted. The insertion hole (111) can be formed in a circular shape so that the fixing member (150) having a circular outer surface can rotate around the X-axis.
[0059] Referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, the support plate (120) may be provided with a first hook (131) and a second hook (132) at a predetermined interval on the upper side. The interval between the first hook (131) and the second hook (132) may correspond to the interval between the first coupling protrusion (161) and the second coupling protrusion (162).
[0060] A through hole (121) into which a fastener (114) is inserted may be provided in the central portion of the support plate (120). The fixed portion (150) may be rotatably connected to the support plate (120) by the fastener (114).
[0061] A limiting protrusion (123) may be provided on the support plate (120) along the Z-axis direction toward the upper side of the through hole (121). The limiting protrusion (123) may limit the rotation angle of the body (110) when the body (110) rotates clockwise and counterclockwise with respect to the fixed part (150).
[0062] The support plate (120) may be provided with first, second, third, and fourth guide holes (126, 127, 128, 129) for guiding the slider (140) to slide along the Z-axis direction. The first, second, third, and fourth guide holes (126, 127, 128, 129) may be provided on the lower side of the support plate (120).
[0063] The first guide hole (126) may include a first region (126a) in which the first engaging portion (146) of the slider (140) can be inserted or withdrawn along the X-axis direction, and a second region (126b) in which the first engaging portion (146) of the slider (140) can slide along the Z-axis direction. The width (width along the Y-axis direction) of the first region (126a) is wider than the width of the second region (126b). The width (126b) of the second region may have a width corresponding to the thickness of the first engaging portion (146) of the slider (140).
[0064] The second guide hole (127) may be provided on the lower side of the first guide hole (126) along the Z-axis direction. The second guide hole (127) may include a first region and a second region, similar to the first guide hole (126). The third guide hole (128) may be arranged symmetrically with respect to the first guide hole (126) with respect to a center line parallel to the Z-axis direction passing through the center of the support plate (120). The fourth guide hole (129) may be arranged symmetrically with respect to the second guide hole (127) with respect to a center line parallel to the Z-axis direction passing through the center of the support plate (120).
[0065] The support plate (120) may include a first elastic member insertion hole (122a) adjacent to the third guide hole (128) and arranged along the Z-axis direction. A first elastic member (171) may be inserted into the first elastic member insertion hole (122a). One end of the first elastic member (171) may be fixed to a first fixing protrusion (124) provided in the first elastic member insertion hole (122a), and the other end of the first elastic member (171) may be fixed to a second fixing protrusion (144) provided in the slider (140).
[0066] The support plate (120) may include a second elastic member insertion hole (122b) adjacent to the fourth guide hole (129) and arranged along the Z-axis direction. A second elastic member (172) may be inserted into the second elastic member insertion hole (122b). One end of the second elastic member (172) may be fixed to a third fixing protrusion (125) provided in the second elastic member insertion hole (122b), and the other end of the second elastic member (172) may be fixed to a fourth fixing protrusion (145) provided in the slider (140).
[0067] The first elastic member (171) and the second elastic member (172) can elastically support the slider (140) along the Z-axis direction with respect to the support plate (120). The first elastic member (171) and the second elastic member (172) can be coil springs.
[0068] The slider (140) can be slidably connected to the support plate (120) by first, second, third, and fourth catches (146, 147, 148, 149). The slider (140) can have a third hook (133) and a fourth hook (134) provided at a predetermined interval at the bottom. The interval between the third hook (133) and the fourth hook (134) can correspond to the interval between the third coupling protrusion (163) and the fourth coupling protrusion (164). The third hook (133) and the fourth hook (134) are formed integrally with the slider (140) and can move along the Z-axis together with the slider (140). Accordingly, the slider (140) can engage and disengage the third hook (133) and the fourth hook (134) from the third engaging protrusion (163) and the fourth engaging protrusion (164), respectively.
[0069] The slider (140) may include an operation knob (141) that can be pushed or pulled by a user's finger so that the slider (140) can be moved along the Z-axis direction. The operation knob (141) may protrude outward from the body (110) through a through hole (113) of the body (110) so that the slider (140) can be operated by the user. The operation knob (141) may be fastened to the slider (140) by a plurality of screws (182).
[0070] Referring to FIGS. 7 and 8, the fixed part (150) may include a bracket (151) connected to a fixed frame (30a, see FIG. 1) of the stand (30). The bracket (151) may be connected to one surface of the fixed part (150) by a plurality of screws (183).
[0071] The fixed part (150) may have a through hole (153) provided in the center through which a fastener (114) passes. The fastener (114) may sequentially pass through the through hole (121) of the support plate (120) and the through hole (153) of the fixed part (150). A washer (115) and a plurality of spring washers (116) may be combined with the fastener (114). The fastener (114) may pass through the through hole (121) of the support plate (120) and the through hole (153) of the fixed part (150), and then a nut (117) may be fastened thereto.
[0072] The fixed part (150) can rotate clockwise and counterclockwise at a predetermined angle with the fastener (114) as the central axis. A first catch (155) and a second catch (156) that interfere with the limiting protrusion (123) may be provided on the outer periphery of the fixed part (150). The first catch (155) and the second catch (156) may be arranged symmetrically with respect to the center of the fixed part (150). The first catch (155) may interfere with the limiting protrusion (123) when the fixed part (150) is rotated clockwise. The second catch (156) may interfere with the limiting protrusion (123) when the fixed part (150) is rotated counterclockwise. Accordingly, the angle at which the fixed part (150) rotates clockwise and counterclockwise can be limited by the first and second catches (155, 156).
[0073] The fixing part (150) can be rotatably coupled to the support plate (120) and can be fixed to the fixing frame (30a) of the stand (30). Therefore, when the mounting unit (101) is mounted on the mounting part (20) of the display (10), the display (10) connected to the mounting unit (101) can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise with respect to the stand (30). For example, since the display (10) can roll rotate with respect to the stand (30), the user can adjust the display (10) to a desired angle. The fixing part (150) can be flexibly coupled to the support plate (120) in the X-axis direction by a plurality of spring washers (116). Therefore, the display (10) can stably maintain a state in which it is adjusted to a predetermined angle.
[0074] Hereinafter, an example of mounting a mounting unit (101) on a mounting portion (20) of a display (10) will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0075] FIG. 9 is a drawing showing a state before connecting a mounting unit of a connecting device according to one or more embodiments to a mounting portion of a display.
[0076] Referring to FIG. 9, the mounting unit (101) is aligned with respect to the mounting portion (20) of the display (10) in order to be mounted on the mounting portion (20). The first and second hooks (131, 132) are aligned to correspond to the first and second coupling holes (31, 32, see FIG. 2) provided in the mounting portion (20) of the display (10), respectively.
[0077] The operation knob (141) of the slider (140) is moved upward along the Z-axis direction. Accordingly, the mounting unit (101) can be mounted on the mounting portion (20) of the display (10).
[0080] FIGS. 11 and 12 are drawings showing examples of an operation of connecting a mounting unit of a connecting device according to one or more embodiments to a mounting portion of a display.
[0081] Referring to Fig. 11, while the first and second hooks (131, 132) are inserted into the first and second coupling holes (31, 32), respectively, the mounting unit (101) is moved upward along the Z-axis direction so that the first and second hooks (131, 132) are coupled to the first and second coupling protrusions (161, 162) provided on the rear chassis (15), respectively.
[0082] Referring to Fig. 12, the operating knob (141) of the slider (140) moved upward along the Z-axis direction is released. Accordingly, the slider (140) moves downward along the Z-axis direction by the elastic force of the first and second elastic members (171, 172). The third and fourth hooks (133, 134) move together with the slider (140) and move downward along the Z-axis direction to be coupled to the third and fourth coupling protrusions (163, 164), respectively.
[0083] FIG. 13 is a drawing showing a state in which a mounting unit of a connecting device according to one or more embodiments is mounted on a mounting portion of a display.
[0084] Referring to FIG. 13, the mounting unit (101) can be stably mounted on the mounting portion (20) of the display (10) as the first, second, third, and fourth hooks (131, 132, 133, 134) are respectively coupled to the first, second, third, and fourth coupling protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164).
[0085] In order to separate the mounting unit (101) from the mounting portion (20) of the display (10), the reverse order of the above-described order of mounting the mounting unit (101) to the mounting portion (20) of the display (10) can be followed.
[0086] Meanwhile, the order of mounting the mounting unit (101) to the mounting portion (20) of the display (10) may be different from that described above. For example, the first and second hooks (131, 132) of the mounting unit (101) are inserted into the first and second coupling holes (31, 32) provided in the mounting portion (20) of the display (10), respectively. Next, the mounting unit (101) is moved toward the upper side of the display (10) to couple the first and second hooks (131, 132) of the mounting unit (101) to the first and second coupling protrusions (161, 162), respectively.
[0087] The mounting unit (101) may be inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the display (10) before the third and fourth hooks (133, 134) are inserted into the third and fourth coupling holes (33, 34), respectively.
[0088] In this state, the operation knob (141) of the slider (140) is pressed toward the upper side of the mounting unit (101) so that the third and fourth hooks (133, 134) are aligned to positions corresponding to the third and fourth coupling holes (33, 34), respectively. The lower side of the mounting unit (101) is rotated toward the mounting portion (20) of the display (10) around the first and second hooks (131, 132), so that the third and fourth hooks (133, 134) are inserted into the third and fourth coupling holes (33, 34), respectively. Subsequently, the operation knob (141) of the slider (140) is released so that the third and fourth hooks (133, 134) can be coupled to the third and fourth coupling protrusions (163, 164), respectively.
[0089] A connecting device (100) according to one or more embodiments may include a mounting unit (101) and first, second, third, and fourth connecting protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164) arranged on a display (10). In this way, only four connecting protrusions (161, 162, 163, 164) may be simply arranged on the display (10). In this way, by simply configuring a part of the connecting device (100) provided on the display (10), the thickness of the display (10) can be improved or minimized, and material costs can be reduced.
[0090] A connecting device (100) according to one or more embodiments can easily connect a stand (30) to the rear of a display (10), thereby improving usability.
[0091] FIG. 14 is a schematic diagram illustrating a connecting device according to one or more embodiments.
