AI Technical Summary
Wooden door frames and their derivatives in building carpentry are prone to deterioration and damage due to capillary water absorption during cleaning, leading to costly and time-consuming repairs, particularly for the lower frame and joint covers which are in direct contact with water.
A protective shoe or base made of non-absorbent materials like plastic or PVC is designed to shield the door block's frame and joint covers from water damage, providing a durable and cost-effective solution by replacing the conventional wooden frame's lower part with a waterproof alternative.
The solution effectively prevents water-induced deterioration, reducing maintenance costs and extending the lifespan of door blocks by protecting the frame and joint covers from capillary rise, while offering a more sustainable and eco-friendly option compared to low-end materials.

Abstract
Description
[0001] 1 / Title of the invention:
[0002] Protective shoe for wooden frames and their derivatives
[0003] 2 / Technical field to which the invention relates:
[0004] The present invention relates to a device for protecting the lower part of the door unit in the building sector (building joinery), in order to eliminate rising damp caused by water, which damages and deteriorates the frames and joint covers of this door unit.
[0005] Our invention is a shoe also called a base, plinth or seat made of plastic (or PVC, forex or other non-absorbent materials),
[0006] 3 / Purpose of the invention:
[0007] The main purpose of our invention is to protect door blocks or also end-of-construction door blocks, which are made of wood or one of its derivatives (MDF medium density fiberboard, HDF hard fiberboard, plywood, melamine, chipboard or others...) and which are laid directly on a hard floor (tiles, floor slabs, porcelain, polished concrete, marble, stone...), and which are cleaned with water, unlike floors made of carpet or parquet strips, which are cleaned without the use of water.
[0008] When building or renovating, we carefully choose our door, which remains an essential element in the building and decoration and also for the sound and thermal insulation of the house.
[0009] The door block is a new system, the most proposed currently in the building, unlike the classic carpentry doors, which is a long, expensive process and which requires several stages during machining on machines, (wood treatment, machining on several machines, varnishing or painting...) the door block offers modern solutions, new models, easy installation and handling, sound and thermal insulation according to the requested model, with a very wide choice and styles, colors and varieties and a reduction in cost costs possibility of customization according to the needs of the users.
[0010] The door block generally consists of several parts:
[0011] 1- The door (also called leaf, opening or leaf)
[0012] 2- Hardware (hinges, locks, handles and others.)
[0013] 3- The frame also called fixed frame, frame, chassis, door frame or embrasure depending on the model, which is the part sealed on the walls or partitions (or double partition which requires tapping), and placed directly on the ground, and which is made up of two uprights and a lintel.
[0014] 4- Joint cover also called jamb and / or counter jamb on models, which plays the role of finishing and connection between the frame or the splay and the surface of the wall, also consisting of two vertical uprights and a horizontal lintel, with or without molders, and nailed, fitted or glued on the frame or the splay.
[0015] Our invention is intended for the parts of the door block / or door block at the end of the construction site, more particularly the frame (doorframe) and the joint cover (doorframe and counter-doorframe) at the end of the construction site is placed directly on the ground, and which is in contact with water, during cleaning, causing deterioration and damage to the block, and the non-closing of the openings.
[0016] 4 / State of the prior art:
[0017] -There are shoes for classic doors with wooden frames anchored in the ground and made by the carpenter and that the lower part of the frames is generally worn over time very quickly in current contact with water when cleaning the ground, with the possibility of changing only the shoes of the joint covers, as an addition to the lower side of the joint cover, damaged following the capillary rise caused by the absorption of water each time, and remade as a spare part, which requires a craftsman, but this spare part is not possible for the frame which is permanently anchored to the ground and sealed.
[0018] -There are also manufacturers of doors with frames entirely made of PVC or other materials, and which are manufactured by plastic injection or molding or other, essentially to avoid this problem of rising damp and also to reduce the cost of income, or with recycled materials, or waste, products harmful to the health of the consumer, low-end materials that are not ecological and dangerous for domestic use, unlike wood and its derivatives with better technical characteristics which are essentially derived from nature.
[0019] -These products are not affected by our invention, intended specifically for manufacturers of doors with wooden frames and their derivatives. / Statement of the figures:
[0020] The present invention will be better understood upon studying a particular embodiment taken from
[0021] Example title which is in no way limiting and illustrated by the attached drawings, in which:
[0022] - Figure 1 is a schematic representation of all the parts that make up the door block and its different parts with a zoom on a scale of 1:5 and which encompasses the essential idea of our invention.
