Abstract
Description
Breathable waterproof tape and its manufacturing method
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a breathable waterproof tape and a method for manufacturing the same.
[0002] Due to recent industrialization, outdoor temperatures are rising and UV levels are rising. This recent situation is driving demand for breathable, waterproof tape for skin protection.
[0003] Korean Patent Publication No. 2022-0164731 discloses a polymer composition for a waterproof-breathable film, but only discloses the composition of the breathable film, and does not disclose a composition for obtaining effects such as wrinkle improvement, whitening, sterilization, and skin regeneration by providing a separate adhesive layer as an adhesive layer capable of being attached to the skin.
[0004] In addition, Korean Patent Registration No. 2263631 relates to a medical adhesive sheet with excellent waterproofing and breathability, and discloses a medical adhesive sheet having a laminated structure in which a protective member, a membrane member, and an absorbent member are bonded using an adhesive layer formed in a network structure, but does not disclose a configuration for a UV blocking effect, etc.
[0005] Accordingly, the inventors of the present invention have produced a breathable waterproof tape having excellent breathability and waterproof properties, excellent adhesion to the skin, excellent UV protection function, and excellent skin beauty effect.
[0006] The technical challenge of the present disclosure is to provide a breathable waterproof tape having excellent breathability and waterproof properties, excellent adhesion to the skin, excellent UV protection function, and excellent skin beauty effect.
[0007] However, the problems to be solved by the present invention are not limited to the problems mentioned above, and other problems not mentioned can be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below.
[0008] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, a breathable waterproof tape is provided, comprising: a first release film layer; a PSA adhesive layer formed on an upper surface of the first release film layer; a polyurethane breathable film layer formed on an upper surface of the PSA adhesive layer; and a second release film layer formed on an upper surface of the polyurethane breathable film layer, wherein the polyurethane breathable film layer comprises avobenzone and homosalate, and the PSA adhesive layer comprises a non-acidic acrylic copolymer, niacinamide, and adenosine.
[0009] A breathable waterproof tape according to an embodiment of the present disclosure has excellent breathability and waterproofness, excellent adhesion to the skin, excellent UV protection, and excellent skin beauty effects.
[0010] The effects of the present disclosure are not limited to the effects described above, and effects not mentioned can be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the present specification and the attached drawings.
[0011] Figure 1 illustrates a breathable waterproof tape according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0012] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a breathable waterproof tape comprises a first release film layer; a PSA adhesive layer formed on an upper surface of the first release film layer; a polyurethane breathable film layer formed on an upper surface of the PSA adhesive layer; and a second release film layer formed on an upper surface of the polyurethane breathable film layer, wherein the polyurethane breathable film layer comprises avobenzone and homosalate, and the PSA adhesive layer comprises a non-acidic acrylic copolymer, an isocyanate curing agent, niacinamide, and adenosine.
[0013] Hereinafter, the configuration and operational effects of preferred embodiments of the disclosed subject matter will be described with reference to the attached drawings. Note that in the drawings below, each component is omitted or schematically illustrated for convenience and clarity, and the size of each component does not reflect its actual size. Furthermore, throughout the specification, the same reference numerals designate the same components, and drawing numbers for identical components are omitted in individual drawings.
[0014] Referring to FIG. 1, a waterproof tape according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a first release film layer (100); a PSA adhesive layer (200) formed on an upper surface of the first release film layer; a polyurethane breathable film layer (300) formed on an upper surface of the PSA adhesive layer; and a second release film layer (400) formed on an upper surface of the polyurethane breathable film layer.
[0015]
[0016] First release film layer (100)
[0017] The first release film layer (100) has good thickness uniformity and excellent applicability to various process conditions, and is used as a temporary support for the adhesive layer and for protecting the adhesive layer. In addition, when applied to the skin, it plays a role in promoting convenience of attachment by being easily released when formed at the application site. Accordingly, any type of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyolefin, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyglassine, kraft paper, etc. that is used in the industry can be used without limitation, but it is more preferable to use polyethylene terephthalate (PET) that has excellent mechanical properties.
[0018] The first release film layer (100) can be formed with a thickness of 10 to 200 μm. If it is less than 10 μm, cracks may frequently occur when the release layer is peeled off, and if it exceeds 200 μm, the thickness of the waterproof tape becomes excessively thick, which is not desirable.
[0019]
[0020] PSA adhesive layer (200)
[0021] The PSA adhesive layer (200) is formed on the upper surface of the first release film layer and the lower surface of the polyurethane breathable film layer (300), and contains a component capable of being attached to the skin. It is preferable that the PSA adhesive layer (200) use a non-acidic acrylic copolymer to provide adhesive strength capable of being attached to the skin.
[0022] The PSA adhesive layer (200) may further include a functional raw material. Specifically, the PSA adhesive layer (200) may be composed of 0.001 to 10 parts by weight of niacinamide, 0.001 to 10 parts by weight of adenosine, and 0.1 part by weight of a xylene diisocyanate (XDI) curing agent, with respect to 100 parts by weight of a non-acidic acrylic copolymer. Niacinamide is a functional raw material for skin beauty. If niacinamide is less than 0.001 parts by weight, the whitening effect may be minimal, and if it exceeds 10 parts by weight, skin trouble may occur. Adenosine is a functional raw material for improving wrinkles, etc. If adenosine is less than 0.001 parts by weight, the wrinkle improvement effect may be minimal, and if it exceeds 10 parts by weight, skin trouble may occur. The curing agent is an essential raw material that hardens the PSA adhesive layer to maintain its shape and physical properties. It can be replaced with isocyanate-based curing agents such as H6-XDI (1,3-Bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane), IPDI (Isophorone diisocyanate), TDI (Toluene diisocyanate), MDI (4,4′-Methylenebis(phenyl isocyanate), H12MDI (4,4′-Methylenebis(cyclohexyl isocyanate)), and HMDI (4,4′-Methylenebis(cyclohexyl isocyanate)). The amount of curing agent used can be adjusted according to the desired physical properties.
[0023] The PSA adhesive layer (200) can be formed with a thickness of 3 to 50 μm. If it is less than 3 μm, the adhesive strength may be excessively reduced, and if it exceeds 50 μm, the problem of reduced economic feasibility may arise.
[0024]
[0025] Polyurethane breathable film layer (300)
[0026] The polyurethane breathable film layer (300) is formed on the upper surface of the PSA adhesive layer (200) and the lower surface of the second release film layer (400). The polyurethane containing insoluble fine particles has excellent breathability due to the formation of microbubbles between the interface of the insoluble fine particles and the interface of the polyurethane due to insufficient bonding. Due to this breathability, air is permeable, but liquid water has low permeability, making the tape waterproof.
[0027] The polyurethane breathable film layer (300) may contain avobenzone and homosalate as UV blockers. Specifically, the polyurethane breathable film layer (300) may further contain 5 to 30 parts by weight of avobenzone and 5 to 30 parts by weight of homosalate per 100 parts by weight of polyurethane. If the amount of avobenzone is less than 5 parts by weight, the UV blocking function may be reduced, and if it exceeds 30 parts by weight, the increase in the UV blocking effect may be minimal compared to the additional content. In addition, if the amount of homosalate is less than 5 parts by weight, the UV blocking function may be reduced, and if it exceeds 30 parts by weight, the increase in the UV blocking effect may be minimal compared to the additional content.
[0028] The polyurethane breathable film layer (300) can be formed with a thickness of 3 to 50 ㎛. If it is less than 3 ㎛, the UV blocking effect may be excessively reduced, and if it exceeds 50 ㎛, a problem of reduced breathability may occur.
[0029]
[0030] Second release film layer (400)
[0031] The second release film layer (400) is formed on the upper surface of the polyurethane breathable film layer (300). The second release film layer (400) has good thickness uniformity and excellent applicability to various process conditions, and is used as a temporary support for the polyurethane breathable film layer and for the purpose of protecting the polyurethane breathable film layer. In addition, when applied to the skin, it plays a role in promoting the convenience of attachment by being easily released when formed at the application site. Accordingly, any type of material used in the industry, such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyolefin, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyglassine, and kraft paper, can be used without limitation, but it is more preferable to use polyolefin that has excellent mechanical properties and low hardness to provide a soft feel.
[0032]

[0060] Experimental example
[0061] Experimental Example 1. Evaluation of UV blocking rate
[0062] Measurements were made using a Labsphere Ultraviolet Transmittance Analyzer UV-2000F device with reference to the ASTM D6603 evaluation method.
[0063]
[0064] Experimental Example 2. Waterproofing Evaluation
[0065] Acclimatize the sample for 16 hours at (60 ± 15) % and (21 ± 2) ℃ and conduct the test in the same environment. Cut the specimen and filter paper (Standard cellulose based) to the size of the jig and completely fill the jig with distilled water at (21 ± 2) ℃. Attach the specimen with the wound attachment side facing the distilled water filled in the jig, and be careful not to introduce air between the jig and the specimen. Place the filter paper and ring on top in that order and clamp them firmly to prevent water from leaking out or the specimen from moving during the test. Pour the water filled at the beginning of the purified water through the tube connected to the jig until it reaches the specimen attached to the upper part of the jig and maintain this state for (300 ± 10) seconds. Observe the filter paper to check whether water has penetrated through the specimen and record the result. This process was repeated three times and if there was no leakage, it was evaluated as no leakage.
[0066]
[0067] Experimental Example 3. Evaluation of Water Vapor Permeability
[0068] Moisture permeability (g / m) according to ASTM E 96-63 2 (24hr) was measured (temperature: 37.8℃, humidity 90% RH).
[0069] Classification Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Comparative Example 1 Comparative Example 2 Comparative Example 3 Comparative Example 4 UV-A (%) 99.5 99.999.93 5.46 8.999.97 1.4 UV-B (%) 99.999.999.95 7.3 99.999.999.999.9 UPF 50+50+50+0 3550+40 Moisture permeability (g / m) 2 24hr)0.330.330.190.330.330.041.75WaterproofNo leakNo leakNo leakNo leakNo leakNo leakNo leak
[0070] Referring to Table 1, in the case of Examples 1 to 3, 9 to 30 parts by weight of avobenzone and 20 to 30 parts by weight of homosalate were included for 100 parts by weight of polyurethane resin, and accordingly, the blocking effects against UV-A and UV-B were both 99.5 to 99.9%. In addition, when the thickness of the polyurethane breathable film layer was adjusted to 10 to 50㎛, the moisture permeability was 0.19 to 0.33g / m 2 It was confirmed that the waterproof tape had an appropriate moisture permeability for skin protection, as it appeared to be 24 hours old, and there was no leakage in the waterproof evaluation.
[0071] Comparative Example 1 was conducted with the weight parts of avobenzone and homosalate set to 1 part by weight and 1 part by weight, and it was confirmed that the blocking effects against UV-A and UV-B were both low, ranging from 35.4 to 57.3%. Comparative Example 2 was conducted with the weight parts of avobenzone and homosalate set to 1 part by weight and 20 parts by weight, and the content of homosalate was increased, but it was confirmed that the blocking effects against UV-A and UV-B were both low, ranging from 38.9 to 99.9%. Accordingly, it was confirmed that the UV-A blocking effect was low when the content of avobenzone was less than 5. Comparative Example 3 was conducted with the thickness of the breathable film set to 70 ㎛, and the moisture permeability was 0.04 g / m 2 It was confirmed that the moisture permeability was not suitable for a breathable waterproof tape for skin protection as the film layer thickness exceeded 50 ㎛, as shown in 24 hours. In Comparative Example 4, the thickness of the breathable film was 1 ㎛, and accordingly, the moisture permeability was 1.75 g / m 2 It was shown to be 24 hours, but it was confirmed that the UV-A blocking effect dropped to 71.4% because the film layer was too thin.
[0072] According to the present disclosure, it has excellent breathability and waterproofness, excellent adhesion to the skin, and excellent UV protection function, and thus can be applied to skin care products.
