Description

[0001] Surgical device

[0002] The present invention relates to surgical devices.

[0003] When a surgeon has to perform a surgical operation, depending on the nature of the operation, he prepares all the instruments that will be necessary to complete it in the best possible way for the patient. One of the parameters that is important for the patient's well-being is the duration of the operation. Also, when preparing all the instruments, he must plan the chronology of their use, so that he can quickly and easily access them, either himself or through his assistant.

[0004] He often has to use two instruments in very close succession.

[0005] In this regard, devices such as those disclosed in FR2143091, US2016128712 and WO 2015021455 are known. But none of them combines two successive functions close to each other which are often necessary for surgeons.

[0006] Also, the present invention aims to produce a surgical device which allows the practitioner to save time over the duration of the intervention, in particular by facilitating his work, in particular because he will have at hand and in complete safety the instruments which he needs to, for example, carry out two consecutive acts very close in time to each other.

[0007] The practitioner will even have the possibility of reducing the number of assistants responsible for presenting the instruments he needs, thus saving time and increasing safety.

[0008] More specifically, the present invention relates to a surgical device as defined in at least one of the appended claims.

[0009] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear during the following description given with reference to the attached drawings for illustrative but in no way limiting purposes, in which:

[0010] Figure 1 represents, in schematic form, an embodiment of the surgical device according to the invention.

[0011] Figure 2 represents a view of an industrial embodiment of the surgical device according to the invention.

[0012] It is further specified that, in the present description, if the adverb "substantially" is associated with a qualifier of a given means, this qualifier must be understood in the strict or approximate sense. The present invention relates to a surgical device which, according to the diagram in Figure 1, comprises a first surgical instrument 11 comprising two branches '! 4, 14' advantageously rigid such as made of metal or the like, each having a free end 16, 16', and two sleeves 20, 20' of which at least one part is made of a flexible material.

[0013] These two sleeves are respectively defined between two ends 21, 2T; 22, 22' and one end 21, 22 of each sleeve comprises a cavity 25, 25', the respective free ends 16, 16' of the two branches 14, 14' of the first instrument 11 being fitted, preferably by force, respectively into these two cavities 25, 25'.

[0014] The surgical device according to the invention further comprises a second surgical instrument 11' also comprising two branches 15, 15' each having a free end 17, 17'. The other end 2T, 22' of each sleeve comprising another cavity, the respective free ends 17, 17' of the two branches 15, 15' of this second surgical instrument 11' are respectively fitted, also preferably by force, into these two other cavities.

[0015] According to a preferred embodiment, the flexible material part of at least one of the two sleeves 20, 20' is made of molded silicone, advantageously over its entire length.

[0016] According to another preferred embodiment, at least one of the two sleeves 20, 20', and very advantageously both sleeves, has elasticity in bending and, preferably, low elasticity in traction.

[0017] As mentioned above, according to the illustrated embodiment, the two sleeves advantageously comprise, at each of their ends, a cavity in which a free end of a surgical instrument is fitted. Also, to simplify the production of these sleeves with the cavities according to the present invention, at least one of the two sleeves 20, 20', preferably the two sleeves, comprises a substantially axial opening 26, over its entire length, the ends of these two openings constituting the cavities defined above.

[0018] At least one of the surgical instruments 11, 11' mentioned above is preferably chosen from at least the following instruments, although this list is not exhaustive: a needle holder 31, a scissors holder 32, a scalpel, two-jaw forceps. Figure 2, which applies the teachings of Figure 1, represents an industrial embodiment of the surgical device according to the invention, the two instruments 11, 11' of which are respectively a needle holder and a scissors holder, in particular for microsurgery interventions, for example in the hand of a human being.

[0019] The present invention also relates to a kit for producing a surgical device as defined above. This kit comprises a housing with a manipulable cover and, in this housing, there is a plurality of sleeves 20, 20', the section of the cavities 25, 25' produced in these sleeves 20, 20' and the length of these sleeves being of different sizes.

[0020] In this way, a practitioner in possession of such a kit can, in anticipation of a given surgical intervention, prepare the combinations of instruments that he will have to use to carry out two consecutive or very close temporal acts necessary for this intervention.
