[0010] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0011] <<Outline of Video Management System>> Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram showing the configuration of a video management system 1 according to this embodiment. The video management system 1 includes a video management device 10 and a plurality of monitoring cameras (imaging devices) 20. The video management device 10 is communicatively connected to each of the plurality of monitoring cameras 20 via a communication network N. The video management device 10 is capable of transmitting and receiving data such as control signals and images to and from each monitoring camera 20. Note that the number of monitoring cameras 20 is not particularly limited.

[0012] The video management device 10 of the video management system 1 stores information (shooting information) about the shooting area of each surveillance camera 20, associated with the shooting date and time, in a shooting area DB (database) 135 (see FIG. 5), which will be described later. The video management device 10 performs a search for a desired monitoring location (e.g., XX Park) and monitoring period (e.g., June 1, 2023, 10:00-12:00) based on the shooting area DB 135. This identifies the surveillance cameras 20 that captured images of XX Park between 10:00-12:00 on June 1, 2023. As a result, the video management device 10 can acquire and display (provide) images of XX Park captured at the desired monitoring time from the identified surveillance cameras 20.

[0013] <Configuration of Video Management System> <Video Management Device> Figure 2 is a block diagram showing the functional configuration of the video management device 10. The video management device 10 includes a CPU (Central Processing Unit) 11, a RAM (Random Access Memory) 12, a storage unit 13, an operation unit 14, a display unit 15, a communication unit 16, and a bus 17. The various units of the video management device 10 are connected via the bus 17. In this embodiment, the video management device 10 is a desktop PC, but is not limited to this and may be, for example, a notebook PC or a tablet terminal.

[0014] The CPU 11 is a processor that controls the operation of the video management device 10 by reading and executing the program 131 stored in the storage unit 13 and performing various arithmetic processing. The video management device 10 may have multiple processors (multiple CPUs, etc.), and the multiple processes performed by the CPU 11 of this embodiment may be executed by these multiple processors. In this case, the multiple processors may be involved in a common process, or the multiple processors may independently execute different processes in parallel.

[0015] The RAM 12 provides a working memory space for the CPU 11 and stores temporary data.

[0016] The storage unit 13 is a non-transitory recording medium readable by the CPU 11 as a computer, and stores a program 131 and various data. The storage unit 13 includes a non-volatile memory such as a hard disk drive (HDD) or a solid state drive (SSD). The program 131 is stored in the storage unit 13 in the form of computer-readable program code. Data stored in the storage unit 13 includes a map information database (DB) 132, a camera installation table 133, a camera information table 134, a shooting area database (DB) 135, etc.

[0017] The map information DB 132 is a database that stores map information (including latitude and longitude information) of locations that can be monitored by each monitoring camera 20. Note that the map information DB 132 is not limited to being stored in the storage unit 13. For example, the map information DB 132 may be stored in an external server (not shown) that is communicatively connected to the video management device 10 via the communication network N.

[0018] The camera installation table 133 is a table that stores information such as the installation position of each monitoring camera 20. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 3 , the camera installation table 133 stores information on the following items, linked to one another: "camera ID," "installation position (latitude, longitude)," "installation height," "azimuth angle," and "elevation / depression angle." For example, the camera installation table 133 indicates that the monitoring camera 20 with camera ID "0001" is installed at a latitude of "A degrees, A minutes, A seconds" and a longitude of "B degrees, B minutes, B seconds." It also indicates that the monitoring camera 20 with camera ID "0001" is installed at an installation height of "4 m." It also indicates that the monitoring camera 20 with camera ID "0001" is installed at an azimuth angle of "300°." Here, the azimuth angle is defined as a positive angle clockwise from north, with north being the reference direction. It also indicates that the monitoring camera 20 with camera ID "0001" is installed at an elevation / depression angle of "30°." Here, the elevation / depression angle is an upward angle based on the vertical downward direction (the direction of gravity).

[0019] The camera information table 134 is a table that stores camera information for each surveillance camera 20. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 4 , the camera information table 134 stores information for each of the following items, linked together: "angle of view," "zoom magnification," "pan / tilt angle," and "horizontal distance." This information is transmitted from the corresponding surveillance camera 20 to the video management device 10 when the information is updated. For example, the camera information table 134 indicates that the angle of view of the surveillance camera 20 with camera ID "0001" is "26.5 degrees diagonal." It also indicates that the zoom magnification of the surveillance camera 20 with camera ID "0001" is "×1.5." It also indicates that the surveillance camera 20 with camera ID "0001" can change its shooting direction (pan and tilt directions) by 70° vertically and 130° horizontally. It also indicates that the maximum shooting distance (horizontal direction) of the surveillance camera 20 with camera ID "0001" is "35 m." Here, the surveillance camera 20 with the camera ID "0002" has no information set in the "pan / tilt angle" field. In other words, the camera information table 134 indicates that the surveillance camera 20 with the camera ID "0002" is a fixed camera.

[0020] The shooting area DB 135 is a database in which the shooting areas when shooting is performed by each monitoring camera 20 are stored as a history. In detail, as shown in FIG. 5, the shooting area DB 135 stores information for each item of "camera ID," "shooting area number," "shooting area (latitude, longitude)," and "shooting date and time" in a linked state. This information is transmitted from the corresponding monitoring camera 20 to the video management device 10 when shooting is performed on the corresponding shooting date and time. For example, assume that the monitoring camera 20 with camera ID "0001" captured an image of a shooting area with shooting area number "A-1" from 0:00 to 0:05 on June 1, 2023. At this time, the following information is transmitted from the surveillance camera 20 to the video management device 10: the camera ID "0001," the shooting area number "A-1," the shooting area "(A degree A1 minute A1 second, B degree B1 minute B1 second) to (A degree A4 minute A4 seconds, B degree B4 minute B4 seconds)," and the shooting date and time "June 1, 2023, 0:00 to 0:05." The video management device 10 stores the received information in the shooting area DB 135. Here, the information in the "shooting area (latitude, longitude)" field is derived based on the shooting conditions (e.g., lens angle of view, zoom magnification, azimuth (pan direction), and elevation / depression angle (tilt direction)) when shooting by the surveillance camera 20. The information represents the positions of four different points, each expressed in latitude and longitude, and the shooting area is the area connecting five points, including the installation position of the corresponding surveillance camera 20 (see FIG. 3). Furthermore, if the surveillance camera 20 is an omnidirectional camera, the information in the "Shooting area (latitude, longitude)" item is displayed, for example, as "a radius of Lm centered on the installation position (latitude, longitude) of the surveillance camera 20."

[0021] 2 , the operation unit 14 has at least one of a touch panel overlaid on the display screen of the display unit 15, physical buttons, a pointing device such as a mouse, and an input device such as a keyboard. The operation unit 14 outputs operation information corresponding to input operations on the input devices to the CPU 11.

[0022] The display unit 15 includes a display device such as a liquid crystal display, and displays various information on the display device in accordance with display control signals from the CPU 11 .

[0023] The communication unit 16 is configured by a network card or a communication module, etc., and transmits and receives data to and from each monitoring camera 20 in accordance with a predetermined communication standard.

[0024] <Monitoring Camera> Fig. 6 is a block diagram showing the functional configuration of the monitoring camera 20. The monitoring camera 20 includes a CPU 21, a RAM 22, a storage unit 23, an imaging unit 24, a sensor unit 25, a communication unit 26, and a bus 27. The various units of the monitoring camera 20 are connected via the bus 27. In this embodiment, the monitoring camera 20 may be a so-called PTZ camera equipped with pan-tilt-zoom functions, or a fixed camera or omnidirectional camera without such functions.

[0025] The CPU 21 is a processor that reads and executes the program 231 stored in the storage unit 23 and performs various arithmetic processing to control the operation of the surveillance camera 20. The surveillance camera 20 may have multiple processors (multiple CPUs, etc.), and the multiple processes performed by the CPU 21 of this embodiment may be executed by these multiple processors. In this case, the multiple processors may be involved in a common process, or the multiple processors may independently execute different processes in parallel.

[0026] The RAM 22 provides a working memory space for the CPU 21 and stores temporary data.

[0027] The storage unit 23 is a non-transitory recording medium readable by the CPU 21 as a computer, and stores a program 231 and various data. The storage unit 23 includes a non-volatile memory such as an HDD or SSD. The program 231 is stored in the storage unit 23 in the form of computer-readable program code. Data stored in the storage unit 23 includes a shooting information table 232, a video DB (database) 233, etc.

[0028] The shooting information table 232 is a table in which information such as shooting conditions (e.g., lens angle of view, zoom magnification, orientation (pan direction), and elevation / depression angle (tilt direction)) and the shooting date and time when shooting is performed under those shooting conditions is stored in a linked state.

[0029] The video DB (database) 233 is a database in which captured video is stored in association with the date and time of the video capture.

[0030] The imaging unit 24 includes an imaging lens and an imaging element that converts light incident through the imaging lens into a digital signal, and under the control of the CPU 21, performs imaging at a predetermined frame rate based on the above-mentioned imaging information table 232.

[0031] The sensor unit 25 includes an acceleration sensor, a gyro sensor, a GPS receiver, etc., and outputs the measurement results to the CPU 21. Note that the sensor unit 25 may further include sensors other than those described above.

[0032] The communication unit 26 is configured by a network card or a communication module, etc., and transmits and receives data to and from the video management device 10 in accordance with a predetermined communication standard.

[0033] <<Operation of the Video Management System>> Next, the operation of the video management system 1 will be described. Specifically, with reference to Figures 7 to 9, the operation in which the CPU 11 of the video management device 10 displays video of a desired monitoring location that was captured during a desired monitoring period will be described. To achieve the above operation, the CPU 11 executes the video provision process shown in Figure 7.

[0034] 7 is a flowchart showing a control procedure for the video providing process. The video providing process is executed, for example, when an instruction operation to display a search screen G1 (described later) on the display unit 15 is performed via the operation unit 14.

[0035] When the video providing process is started, the CPU 11 displays the search screen G1 on the display unit 15 (step S101).

[0036] FIG. 8 is a diagram showing an example of a search screen G1. The search screen G1 is composed of a search condition input area G11 and a map screen display area G12. The search condition input area G11 includes a text box G111 for inputting a desired location (monitoring location), a group of text boxes G112 for inputting a desired date and time (monitoring period), and a search button G113 used to start a search. The symbol "G112" is attached only to the text box for inputting the year, and is omitted from the other text boxes. The map screen display area G12 displays a map screen G121. Input of the desired location (monitoring location) is not limited to text input in the text box G111. For example, the desired location may be input by performing a predetermined touch operation such as encircling the desired area on the map screen G121 or placing a pin on the desired area. The text box G111 may also allow input of multiple desired locations. Similarly, the group of text boxes G112 may allow input of multiple desired dates and times.

[0037] 7, the CPU 11 determines whether an input operation for specifying a desired location (monitoring location) and date and time (monitoring period) has been performed on the search screen G1 (step S102). Here, as shown in FIG. 8, if the search button G113 is operated with "XX Park" entered in the text box G111 and "June 1, 2023, 10:00-12:00" entered in the text box group G112, the CPU 11 determines that the above input operation has been performed.

[0038] If it is determined in step S102 that no input operation has been performed to specify the desired location and date and time (step S102; NO), the CPU 11 determines whether or not an operation to close the search screen G1 has been performed via the operation unit 14 (step S103).

[0039] In step S103, if it is determined that an operation to close the search screen G1 has been performed (step S103; YES), the CPU 11 ends the video providing process.

[0040] Furthermore, in step S103, if it is determined that an operation to close the search screen G1 has not been performed (step S103; NO), the CPU 11 returns the process to step S102 and repeats the subsequent processes.

[0041] Furthermore, if it is determined in step S102 that an input operation specifying a desired location and date and time has been performed (step S102; YES), the CPU 11 searches for a surveillance camera 20 that captured an image of the specified location at the specified date and time, based on the shooting area DB 135 (step S104). Here, the specified location (monitoring location) is converted into latitude and longitude information corresponding to the location based on the map information DB 132, and then the search process is performed. Furthermore, with regard to the specified date and time (monitoring period), if the camera captured an image at even a part of the specified date and time, it is considered to correspond to a surveillance camera 20 that captured an image at the specified date and time.

[0042] Next, the CPU 11 determines whether or not a corresponding monitoring camera 20 has been identified as a result of the search process in step S104 (step S105).

[0043] If it is determined in step S105 that the corresponding monitoring camera 20 has not been identified (step S105; NO), the CPU 11 displays message information indicating that the corresponding monitoring camera 20 has not been identified on the display unit 15 (step S108). Then, the CPU 11 ends the video providing process.

[0044] Also, if it is determined in step S105 that the relevant surveillance camera 20 has been identified (step S105; YES), the CPU 11 obtains video footage taken at the specified location on the specified date and time from the video DB 233 of the identified surveillance camera 20 (step S106).

[0045] Next, the CPU 11 displays the search result screen G2 on the display unit 15, and displays the video acquired in step S106 on the search result screen G2 (step S107).Then, the CPU 11 ends the video providing process.

[0046] FIG. 9 is a diagram showing an example of a search result screen G2. The search result screen G2 displays search result information G21, such as the search location (e.g., "XX Park"), the shooting date and time (e.g., "June 1, 2023, 10:00-10:30"), and the surveillance camera (e.g., "0042 (camera ID)"). The time of the shooting date and time displayed as the search result information G21 (e.g., "10:00-10:30") may be highlighted by displaying it in red, bold, or underlined. The search result screen G2 also displays the video G22 acquired in step S106. A play button G23 for starting playback of the video G22 is superimposed on the video G22. When the play button G23 is operated on the search result screen G2 shown in FIG. 9 , video of "XX Park" captured by the surveillance camera 20 with camera ID "0042" on the shooting date and time "June 1, 2023, 10:00-10:30" is displayed. The search result screen G2 also has a surveillance camera search button G24. When the surveillance camera search button G24 is operated, a surveillance camera search screen G3 (described later) for searching for the shooting area of the surveillance camera 20 identified by the search is displayed on the display unit 15. The search result screen G2 also has a location search button G25. When the location search button G25 is operated, a location search screen G5 (described later) for searching for the surveillance camera 20 capturing the above-mentioned search location and for searching the shooting time of the surveillance camera 20 at the search location is displayed on the display unit 15.

[0047] 10 to 14, the operation of the CPU 11 of the video management device 10 to display the image capture area of a desired surveillance camera 20 in a chronological order will be described. To achieve the above operation, the CPU 11 executes the image capture area information provision process shown in FIG.

[0048] 10 is a flowchart showing the control procedure for the shooting area information providing process. The shooting area information providing process is executed when the surveillance camera search button G24 on the search result screen G2 (see FIG. 9) described above is operated. Note that the shooting area information providing process may also be executed when an instruction is given to display the surveillance camera search screen G3 on the display unit 15 from a predetermined main screen (not shown) or the like.

[0049] When the photographing area information providing process is started, the CPU 11 displays the monitoring camera search screen G3 on the display unit 15 (step S201).

[0050] 11 is a diagram showing an example of a surveillance camera search screen G3. The surveillance camera search screen G3 is provided with a text box G31 for inputting the camera ID of a desired surveillance camera, a group of text boxes G32 for inputting a desired shooting date, a search button G33 used to instruct the start of a search, and the like. Note that when the surveillance camera search button G24 on the search result screen G2 (see FIG. 9 ) is operated to display the surveillance camera search screen G3, the camera ID "0042" of the surveillance camera 20 displayed on the search result screen G2 may be reflected and automatically entered into the text box G31.

[0051] 10, the CPU 11 determines whether an input operation for specifying the camera ID and shooting date of a desired surveillance camera has been performed on the surveillance camera search screen G3 (step S202). Here, as shown in FIG. 11, if "0042" is input in the text box G31 of the surveillance camera search screen G3 and "June 1, 2023" is input in the text box group G32, and the search button G33 is operated, it is determined that the above input operation has been performed.

[0052] In step S202, if it is determined that no input operation has been performed to specify the camera ID and shooting date of the desired surveillance camera (step S202; NO), the CPU 11 determines whether an operation has been performed to close the surveillance camera search screen G3 (step S203).

[0053] In step S203, if it is determined that an operation to close the surveillance camera search screen G3 has been performed (step S203; YES), the CPU 11 ends the shooting area information providing process.

[0054] Also, in step S203, if it is determined that no operation to close the surveillance camera search screen G3 has been performed (step S203; NO), the CPU 11 returns the process to step S202 and repeats the subsequent processes.

[0055] Also, in step S202, if it is determined that an input operation has been performed to specify the camera ID and shooting date of the desired surveillance camera (step S202; YES), the CPU 11 obtains information (shooting area information) about the shooting area of the specified surveillance camera 20 (e.g., camera ID "0042") on the specified shooting date (e.g., June 1, 2023, 0:00-24:00) from the shooting area DB 135 (step S204).

[0056] Next, the CPU 11 displays the surveillance camera search result screen G4 on the display unit 15, and displays the shooting area information acquired in step S204 on the surveillance camera search result screen G4 (step S205). Specifically, the CPU 11 displays the shooting areas of the specified surveillance camera 20 (e.g., camera ID "0042") on the specified shooting date (e.g., June 1, 2023, 0:00 to 24:00) in chronological order. Then, the CPU 11 ends the shooting area information provision process.

[0057] 12 to 14 are diagrams showing examples of the surveillance camera search result screen G4. The surveillance camera search result screen G4 is composed of a map screen display area G41 and a time seek bar display area G42. The map screen display area G41 displays a map screen G411 of the area around the installation location of the surveillance camera 20 specified on the surveillance camera search screen G3 (see FIG. 11). On this map screen G411, a camera icon G412 resembling the surveillance camera 20 is displayed at the installation location of the surveillance camera 20, and the shooting area G413 of the surveillance camera 20 is displayed. The time seek bar display area G42 is provided with a time seek bar G421 that starts at 0:00 on the shooting date specified on the surveillance camera search screen G3 (see FIG. 11) and ends at 24:00 on the shooting date. As shown in Figures 12 to 14, by operating the time seek bar G421, the shooting area G413 of the specified surveillance camera 20 (e.g., camera ID "0042") on the specified shooting date (e.g., June 1, 2023, 0:00 to 24:00) is displayed in chronological order in the map screen display area G41.

[0058] 15 to 17, the operation of the CPU 11 of the video management device 10 to display a shooting timetable of the surveillance camera 20 capturing images of a desired location (surveillance location) will be described. To achieve the above operation, the CPU 11 executes the shooting timetable provision process shown in FIG.

[0059] 15 is a flowchart showing the control procedure for the photographing timetable providing process. The photographing timetable providing process is executed when the location search button G25 on the search result screen G2 (see FIG. 9) described above is operated. Note that the photographing timetable providing process may also be executed when, for example, an instruction is given to display the location search screen G5 on the display unit 15 from a predetermined main screen (not shown) or the like.

[0060] When the photographing timetable providing process is started, the CPU 11 displays the location search screen G5 on the display unit 15 (step S301).

[0061] 16 is a diagram showing an example of a location search screen G5. The location search screen G5 is provided with a text box G51 for inputting a desired location (monitoring location), a group of text boxes G52 for inputting a desired shooting date, a search button G53 used to instruct the start of a search, etc. When the location search button G25 on the search result screen G2 (see FIG. 9) is operated to display the location search screen G5, the search location "XXXX Park" displayed on the search result screen G2 may be reflected and automatically entered into the text box G51.

[0062] 15, the CPU 11 determines whether an input operation for specifying a desired location (monitoring location) and a shooting date has been performed on the location search screen G5 (step S302). Here, as shown in FIG. 16, if the search button G53 is operated with "XX Park" entered in the text box G51 and "June 1, 2023" entered in the text box group G52 on the location search screen G5, the CPU 11 determines that the above input operation has been performed.

[0063] If it is determined in step S302 that no input operation has been performed to specify the desired location and shooting date (step S302; NO), the CPU 11 determines whether or not an operation to close the location search screen G5 has been performed via the operation unit 14 (step S303).

[0064] In step S303, if it is determined that an operation to close the location search screen G5 has been performed (step S303; YES), the CPU 11 ends the photographing timetable providing process.

[0065] Furthermore, in step S303, if it is determined that an operation to close the location search screen G5 has not been performed (step S303; NO), the CPU 11 returns the process to step S302 and repeats the subsequent processes.

[0066] Furthermore, if it is determined in step S302 that an input operation specifying a desired location and shooting date has been performed (step S302; YES), the CPU 11 searches for a surveillance camera 20 that took a photo of the specified location on the specified shooting date, based on the shooting area DB 135 (step S304). Here, the specified location is converted into latitude and longitude information corresponding to the location based on the map information DB 132, and then the search process is performed. Furthermore, with regard to the specified shooting date, if a photo was taken on even a part of the specified shooting date, it is considered to correspond to a surveillance camera 20 that took a photo on that shooting date.

[0067] Next, the CPU 11 determines whether or not a corresponding monitoring camera 20 has been identified as a result of the search process in step S304 (step S305).

[0068] If it is determined in step S305 that the corresponding monitoring camera 20 has not been identified (step S305; NO), the CPU 11 displays message information indicating that the corresponding monitoring camera 20 has not been identified on the display unit 15 (step S308). Then, the CPU 11 ends the shooting timetable providing process.

[0069] Also, if it is determined in step S305 that the relevant surveillance camera 20 has been identified (step S305; YES), the CPU 11 obtains information about the shooting area (shooting area information) of the surveillance camera 20 on the specified shooting date from the shooting area DB 135 (step S306).

[0070] Next, the CPU 11 displays the location search result screen G6 on the display unit 15, and displays the photography timetable on the location search result screen G6 based on the photography area information acquired in step S306 (step S307).The CPU 11 then ends the photography timetable providing process.

[0071] 17 is a diagram showing an example of the location search result screen G6. The location search result screen G6 is made up of a photography timetable display area G61 and a map screen display area G62.

[0072] The shooting timetable display area G61 displays a shooting timetable G611 of a specified location (e.g., "XX Park") for the surveillance camera 20 identified in the shooting timetable provision process (see FIG. 15). In the example of FIG. 17, the shooting timetable G611 of each surveillance camera 20 with camera ID "0042" and camera ID "0055" is displayed. Specifically, this shooting timetable G611 shows that the surveillance camera 20 with camera ID "0042" captured images of the specified location, XX Park, during the following time periods on June 1, 2023 (the specified shooting date): 4:00 to 6:00, 10:00 to 12:00, 16:00 to 18:00, and 22:00 to 24:00. It also shows that the monitoring camera 20 with camera ID "0055" photographed the specified location, XX Park, during the time periods of 0:00 to 10:00 and 12:00 to 22:00. The photographing timetable display area G61 also has a slide bar G612 for specifying a desired time. When a desired time (e.g., 5:00) is specified by operating this slide bar G612, the photographing areas of the monitoring cameras 20 with camera IDs "0042" and "0055" at that time are displayed on a map screen G621 in the map screen display area G62, which will be described later.

[0073] The map screen display area G62 displays a map screen G621 of the area around the location specified on the location search screen G5 (see FIG. 16). On this map screen G621, camera icons G621A and G621B that resemble the above-mentioned surveillance cameras 20 (the surveillance cameras 20 with camera IDs "0042" and "0055") are displayed at the installation positions of the surveillance cameras 20. Also, as described above, the map screen G621 displays the shooting areas G622A and G622B of each surveillance camera 20 at the desired time specified by the slide bar G612.

[0074] Effect: As described above, the CPU 11 of the video management device 10 accepts input of a desired location (monitoring location) and date and time (monitoring period) on the search screen G1 (see FIG. 8 ) displayed on the display unit 15. Based on the shooting area DB (database) 135, the CPU 11 identifies a surveillance camera 20 having shooting information corresponding to the desired location and date and time accepted on the search screen G1. The CPU 11 acquires, from the identified surveillance camera 20, video of a shooting area that includes the desired location and that was captured at a shooting time that matches the desired date and time. The CPU 11 displays the acquired video G22 on the search result screen G2 (see FIG. 9 ). By using the shooting area DB 135, the video management device 10 can thereby identify the surveillance camera 20 that captured the desired location at the desired date and time, without being aware of the installation location of each surveillance camera 20. As a result, it becomes possible to accurately provide video of the desired location captured at the desired date and time.

[0075] Furthermore, the CPU 11 accepts input of the camera ID of the desired surveillance camera 20 on the surveillance camera search screen G3 (see FIG. 11) displayed on the display unit 15. The CPU 11 identifies the shooting area of the desired surveillance camera 20 accepted from the surveillance camera search screen G3 based on the shooting area DB 135. The CPU 11 then displays the shooting area G413 of the identified desired surveillance camera 20 in a chronological order on the map screen G411 on the surveillance camera search result screen G4 (see FIGS. 12 to 14). This allows the user to grasp the shooting area of the desired surveillance camera 20, allowing the user to check whether the surveillance camera 20 is functioning properly.

[0076] Furthermore, the CPU 11 accepts input of a desired location (monitoring location) on the location search screen G5 (see FIG. 16 ) displayed on the display unit 15. Based on the shooting area DB 135, the CPU 11 identifies the surveillance camera 20 that captured the desired location accepted on the location search screen G5, and also identifies the shooting date and time when the desired location was captured by the surveillance camera 20. The CPU 11 then displays, on the location search result screen G6 (see FIG. 17 ), a shooting time table G611 that can identify the shooting date and time when the desired location was captured by the identified surveillance camera 20. This allows the shooting time table G611 to be used to understand the shooting status of the desired location by the surveillance camera 20, and therefore allows the user to confirm whether the desired location is being properly monitored.

[0077] Other: The description in the above embodiment is an example of the video management device, video management method, and program according to the present invention, and is not limited thereto. For example, in the above embodiment, when inputting a desired location and date and time on the search screen G1 (see FIG. 8), inputting the current time or a future time for the date and time may be accepted, thereby enabling identification of the surveillance camera 20 currently capturing the desired location or the surveillance camera 20 that will capture the desired location when the future time arrives. In such a case, a table is stored in the storage unit 13, in which the camera ID of each surveillance camera 20, the capture conditions, and the scheduled capture date and time for capturing the image under the capture conditions are linked to each other.

[0078] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the video management device 10 may be configured to check whether the installation position or installation height of each surveillance camera 20 has been changed based on the information in the camera installation table 133 stored in the memory unit 13. Specifically, the CPU (second acquisition means, determination means, and notification means) 11 of the video management device 10 acquires installation information (information on installation position and installation height) of each surveillance camera 20 from the surveillance camera 20. Here, it is assumed that the installation information is periodically derived by the CPU 21 of each surveillance camera 20 based on measurement results output by the acceleration sensor, gyro sensor, GPS receiver, etc. of the sensor unit 25. The CPU 11 then compares the acquired installation information with the information in the camera installation table 133 to determine whether the surveillance camera 20 is installed in the correct position. Note that the CPU 11 may also determine whether the surveillance camera 20 is installed in the correct position by comparing the video acquired from each surveillance camera 20 with the camera information of each surveillance camera 20 stored in the camera information table 134. If the CPU 11 determines that the surveillance camera 20 is not installed in the correct position, it displays (notifies) that fact on the display unit 15. In such a case, the CPU 11 may transmit correction instruction information regarding the installation position to the relevant surveillance camera 20, so that the installation position can be automatically corrected by the driving mechanism of the camera platform of the surveillance camera 20.

[0079] Furthermore, each of the surveillance cameras 20 constituting the video management system 1 may include an AI camera capable of detecting the occurrence of a specific event and transmitting event occurrence information regarding the location and time of the detected event to the video management device 10. In such a case, the CPU 11 (third acquisition means) of the video management device 10 acquires the event occurrence information from the AI camera. When the event occurrence information is acquired, the CPU 11 accepts input of the location of the event as a desired location (monitoring location) and also accepts input of the period from the time of the event until a predetermined time has elapsed as a desired date and time (monitoring period). This allows the video management device 10 to identify the surveillance camera 20 that captured the location of the event during the period from the time of the event until the predetermined time has elapsed. As a result, it becomes possible to accurately provide video of the occurrence of a specific event.

[0080] In the above description, an example has been disclosed in which an HDD or SSD of the storage unit 13 is used as a computer-readable medium for the program according to the present invention, but this is not limiting. Other computer-readable media may also be used, such as flash memory or CD-ROM. Furthermore, a carrier wave may also be used as a medium for providing the program data according to the present invention via a communication line.

[0081] Furthermore, it goes without saying that the detailed configurations and operations of the components of the video management device 10 and the surveillance camera 20 in the above embodiment can be modified as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

[0082] The present disclosure can be used in a video management device, a video management method, and a program.
