Abstract
Description
[0001] HAIR HOLDING DEVICE
[0002] The utility model relates to haberdashery and personal use items, namely, to hairpins, and can be used to create hairstyles in which, predominantly, long hair is gathered behind the head, for example, to create the so-called "ponytail" hairstyle.
[0003] A hair clip according to invention US2847016 is known, comprising, in particular, a sleeve made with the possibility of being pulled over a selected amount of hair on the back of the head, and comprising hingedly connected arcuate sections interacting with each other. A hair styling device according to invention US6276368 is known, which can be used to create, among other things, a "ponytail" hairstyle. A "ponytail" holder according to invention US6311699 is known, comprising, among other things, a pair of levers movable between an open position and a closed position, fastening means located at opposite ends, for fastening the levers in the closed position. A tail extension device according to invention PCT / US2005 / 009564 is known, which improves the appearance of a ponytail, lifting it and giving it a more voluminous appearance. Also known is the hair clip according to the invention KR1020120045808, which uses magnets to attach interchangeable decorations.
[0004] The closest to the solution proposed in the application is the device presented on the website ponypopper.com, containing a disk-shaped body made of two flaps forming the disk rim, articulated by means of a hinge with the ability to move relative to each other in an open or closed position and fixation using a locking mechanism, on one of the ends of the rim a number of toothed elements are made (the closest analogue). The device allows you to form a hairstyle from hair and give it additional volume.
[0005] The disadvantage of this design, which manifests itself, for example, during intensive sports activities, is the insufficient reliability of holding the hairpin on the hair due to only one row of toothed elements and the possibility of spontaneous opening of the locking latch. Another inconvenience is that due to one row of toothed elements, the device can only be used on one side and cannot be used upside down.
[0006] The technical problem solved by this utility model is the creation of a design that allows for increased reliability of retention of the device on the hair and increased ease of use.
[0007] For this purpose, in a hair retaining device comprising a disk-shaped housing made of two flaps forming a disk rim, articulated by means of a hinge with the possibility of moving relative to each other in an open or closed position and fixing using a locking mechanism, a first row of toothed elements is made on one of the ends of the rim, a second row of toothed elements is made on the other end of the rim, the flaps have a concave shape, and the locking mechanism is a magnetic latch.
[0008] As a result, the presence of two rows of toothed elements, concave flaps and the use of a magnetic latch increase the reliability of holding the device on the hair. At the same time, in addition, its ease of use increases, since the use of magnets simplifies the creation of a hairstyle without outside help, and thanks to the second row of toothed elements, the device can be used on both sides, which also simplifies the creation of a hairstyle.
[0009] In this particular case, the body of the hair holding device is flocking.
[0010] In another particular case, the body of the hair holding device is made of a polymer material.
[0011] The proposed utility model is illustrated by drawings.
[0012] Fig. 1 - General view of the device (prior art).
[0013] Fig. 2 - Device for holding hair, general view with spatial expansion of parts.
[0014] Fig. 3 - Hair holding device, top view. Fig. 4 - Hair holding device, front view. Fig. 5 - Diagram demonstrating the use of the hair holding device.
[0015] Fig. 6 - Second embodiment of the hair holding device, general view with spatial expansion of parts.
[0016] The hair retaining device comprises a body 1 in the form of a disk, which is made of two concave flaps 2 forming a disk rim. Flaps 2 are articulated at one end by means of a hinge 3 with the possibility of moving relative to each other in an open or closed position. The other ends of flaps 2 are swung by a magnetic latch 4, made in the form of two flat cylindrical magnets 5, fixed in recesses 6. On the first end 7 of the rim, a first row 8 of toothed elements 9 is made. On the second end 10 of the rim, a second row 11 of toothed elements 9 is made.
[0017] The utility model is used as follows. A small strand of hair on the head is separated and pulled together with the first elastic band 12, as shown in position (1) of Fig. 5. The flaps 2 are opened and embrace the strand with the first elastic band 12 in such a way that the first end 7 of the rim with the toothed elements 9 faces the head, and the first elastic band 12 is between the toothed elements 9 of the second end 10 of the rim and the toothed elements 9 of the first end 7 of the rim. The flaps 2 are closed and, experiencing the force of magnetic interaction of the magnets 5, the magnetic latch 4 is triggered, securely holding the strand of hair with the first elastic band 12 between the toothed elements 9 of the first row 8 and the second row 11 (position (2) of Fig. 5). Other strands of hair are collected and arranged so that they are placed around the body 1 of the installed device (position (3) Fig. 5), and fixed with a second elastic band 13 (position (4) Fig. 5) so that it covers the concave part of the flaps 2 of the disk rim, finally forming the hairstyle.
[0018] Another embodiment of the utility model, shown in Fig. 6, is characterized by the fact that magnets 5 with a magnetic latch 4 are built into the housing 1 and interact with each other through the walls 14 of the closing ends of the flaps 2.
