[0020] The present disclosure provides a set-top box control method, a set-top box, and a storage medium. The set-top box control method can be applied to the set-top box.

[0021] The following embodiments of the present disclosure are described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the absence of conflict, the following embodiments and features therein may be combined with each other.

[0022] Refer to Figure 1, Figure 1 is a flow chart of a control method for a set-top box provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure. Exemplarily, the control method of the set-top box is applied to a set-top box. Of course, it is not limited thereto. For example, the control method of the set-top box can also be applied to electronic devices other than the set-top box, so as to control the set-top box through electronic devices other than the set-top box. The electronic device can be a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a laptop computer, a desktop computer, etc. For another example, the control method of the set-top box can also be applied to a server, so as to control the set-top box through the server. The server can be a separate server, or it can be a cloud server that provides basic cloud computing services such as cloud services, cloud databases, cloud computing, cloud functions, cloud storage, network services, cloud communications, middleware services, domain name services, security services, content delivery networks (CDNs), and big data and artificial intelligence platforms. The server can be a separate server or a server cluster, which is not limited here.

[0023] As shown in FIG1 , the control method of the set-top box includes S101 to S103 .

[0024] S101: Acquire identification information of a set-top box within a human body recognition range.

[0025] For example, a set-top box can be used to control an electronic device so that the electronic device displays a corresponding video image. Examples of electronic devices include televisions, projectors, computers, and the like. Televisions may include flat-panel televisions, CRT televisions, rear-projection televisions, projection televisions, 3D televisions, and the like, without limitation.

[0026] For example, if the electronic device is a non-portable mobile terminal device, the electronic device is generally set within a fixed position range. For example, the electronic device (such as a TV) can be set on a wall by a TV stand, or can be placed on a TV table, etc., and the user generally does not change the placement of the TV. In addition, when the set-top box controls the electronic device to play a video, such as outputting the corresponding video, audio, and displaying the corresponding video screen, since the video sound data and video screen data transmitted by the set-top box to the electronic device are received from an external signal source, when the external signal source continues to transmit the video sound data and video screen data to the set-top box, the user cannot control the electronic device to pause the display of the corresponding video screen during the process of the electronic device displaying the video screen, for example, it is impossible to control the electronic device to pause the video playback and continue to display the current video screen.

[0027] In some embodiments, when a user is watching a video on an electronic device and needs to perform a corresponding activity, such as watching a video while doing housework, or leaving the device to perform a corresponding activity while watching a video, the user needs to control the set-top box to adjust the playback parameters of the electronic device. However, if the user fails to control the set-top box in a timely manner, the user may not be able to obtain the video content played by the electronic device, such as being unable to hear the video audio or see the video image, which affects the user's experience of using the electronic device.

[0028] Based on this, the identification information of the set-top box within the human body recognition range can be obtained.

[0029] For example, the set-top box can identify whether there is a user within the human body recognition range, and the set-top box can also identify the distance between the user and the set-top box within the human body recognition range. Of course, it is not limited to this. For example, the set-top box can also identify the distance between the user and the electronic device within the human body recognition range. The set-top box can determine the distance between the user and the set-top box based on the distance between the set-top box and the electronic device. There is no limitation here.

[0030] In some embodiments, the set-top box may be provided with a human recognition module. The human recognition module may include, for example, an infrared sensor, a surveillance camera, a laser detector, etc. The human recognition module has a corresponding human recognition range, and the set-top box may use at least one of the infrared sensor, the surveillance camera, and the laser detector to identify users within the human recognition range. This is of course not limiting and is not intended to be limiting herein.

[0031] For example, when the obtained identification information of the set-top box within the human body recognition range is different, the user may have different video playback requirements for the electronic device, and the set-top box is subsequently controlled according to the obtained identification information of the set-top box within the human body recognition range.

[0032] In this way, by obtaining the identification information of the set-top box within the human body recognition range, the user's video playback needs for the electronic device can be determined based on the obtained identification information, which can be used for subsequent control of the set-top box, thereby controlling the electronic device connected to the set-top box without the user having to control the set-top box by himself, which is conducive to reducing the cumbersomeness of the operation of controlling the set-top box and improving the convenience of controlling the set-top box.

[0033] S102: Determine target playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box according to the identification information.

[0034] For example, when different identification information is obtained, the user has different video playback requirements for the electronic device. For example, the current playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box can be adjusted based on the identification information to determine the target playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box to adapt to the changes in the user's video playback requirements.

[0035] In some embodiments, when it is determined based on the identification information that the distance between the set-top box and the user is decreasing, the current playback parameters of the set-top box are adjusted down to obtain the target playback parameters of the set-top box; when it is determined based on the identification information that the distance between the set-top box and the user is increasing, the current playback parameters of the set-top box are adjusted up to obtain the target playback parameters of the set-top box.

[0036] For example, when the set-top box recognizes a user within the human body recognition range, the distance between the set-top box and the user can be identified. Taking the example of the set-top box identifying the distance between the set-top box and the user through an infrared sensor, the infrared sensor may include an infrared transmitter and an infrared receiver. The infrared transmitter may emit infrared light to the identified user, and the emitted infrared light is reflected back to the infrared receiver by the user's body and received by the infrared receiver. For example, if the speed of infrared light is c, and the time difference between the infrared transmitter emitting infrared light and the infrared receiver receiving infrared light is t, then the distance between the set-top box and the user can be determined to be For example, the set-top box can obtain the distance between the set-top box and the user at regular intervals, or the set-top box can obtain the distance between the set-top box and the user in real time. Of course, it is not limited to this. The set-top box can obtain the distance between the set-top box and the user when it recognizes that the location information of the user within the human body recognition range has changed, or when it recognizes that the action of the user within the human body recognition range has changed. There is no limitation here.

[0037] In some embodiments, when it is determined that the distance between the set-top box and the user is reduced according to the identification information, if the set-top box maintains the current playback parameters unchanged, it is easy for the current playback volume of the electronic device connected to the set-top box to be too loud, resulting in a situation where the current playback volume is harsh, or the current display brightness of the electronic device connected to the set-top box is too high, resulting in a situation where the current display brightness is glaring, or the current display screen size of the electronic device connected to the set-top box is too large, and the user cannot fully see the video screen, thereby causing the user to have a poor audio-visual experience of the video. Based on this, when the distance between the set-top box and the user is reduced, the current playback parameters of the set-top box can be adjusted down, such as adjusting down the current playback volume of the set-top box, adjusting down the current display brightness of the set-top box, and adjusting down at least one of the current display screen size of the set-top box to adapt to the changes in the user's video playback requirements of the electronic device when the distance between the user and the set-top box is reduced. Of course, it is not limited to this and is not limited here.

[0038] In some embodiments, when the distance between the set-top box and the user is increased according to the identification information, if the set-top box maintains the current playback parameters unchanged, it is easy for the current playback volume of the electronic device connected to the set-top box to be too small, resulting in the user being unable to hear the video audio clearly, or the current display brightness of the electronic device connected to the set-top box to be too low, resulting in the user being unable to see the video picture clearly, or the current display screen size of the electronic device connected to the set-top box to be too small, resulting in the user being unable to see the video picture clearly, thereby causing the user to have a poor audio-visual experience of the video. Based on this, when the distance between the set-top box and the user is increased, the current playback parameters of the set-top box can be increased, such as increasing the current playback volume of the set-top box, increasing the current display brightness of the set-top box, and increasing at least one of the current display screen size of the set-top box, to adapt to the changes in the user's video playback requirements of the electronic device when the distance between the user and the set-top box increases. Of course, it is not limited to this and is not limited here.

[0039] For example, as shown in Figure 2, when it is determined based on identification information that the distance between the set-top box and the user has changed and the set-top box's current playback parameters need to be adjusted, the set-top box's current playback parameters can be adjusted according to a preset parameter adjustment range. For example, the set-top box can have multiple different playback volume values. If the distance between the set-top box and the user decreases by 1 meter, the set-top box's current playback volume can be adjusted down from playback volume value 1 to playback volume value 2 according to a preset playback volume adjustment range. If the distance between the set-top box and the user increases by 1 meter, the set-top box's current playback volume can be adjusted up from playback volume value 2 to playback volume value 1 according to a preset playback volume adjustment range. For another example, the set-top box can have multiple different display brightness values. If the distance between the set-top box and the user decreases by 1 meter, the set-top box's current display brightness can be adjusted down from display brightness value 1 to display brightness value 2 according to a preset display brightness adjustment range. If the distance between the set-top box and the user increases by 1 meter, the set-top box's current display brightness can be adjusted up from display brightness value 2 to display brightness value 1 according to a preset display brightness adjustment range. Of course, it is not limited to this. For example, the set-top box can be set with different display screen sizes. If the distance between the set-top box and the user is reduced by 1 meter, the current display screen size of the set-top box can be adjusted to the current display screen size according to the preset display screen size adjustment range. If the distance between the set-top box and the user increases by 1 meter, the set-top box's current display screen size can be increased to 1 times the current display screen size according to the preset display screen size adjustment range, and there is no restriction here. Preset parameter adjustment ranges, such as the preset playback volume adjustment range, the preset display brightness adjustment range, the preset display screen size adjustment range, etc., can be pre-set or user-defined and are not restricted here.

[0040] In this way, by determining the change in the distance between the set-top box and the user based on the identification information and adjusting the current playback parameters of the set-top box to obtain the target playback parameters of the set-top box, it is possible to adapt to the change in the user's video playback needs when the distance between the user and the set-top box changes. For example, when the user walks within the human body recognition range corresponding to the set-top box, no matter how far the user is from the electronic device, he or she can hear the appropriate playback volume, see the appropriate display brightness, see the appropriate picture display size, etc., without the user having to control the set-top box by himself or herself, which is conducive to reducing the cumbersomeness of the operation of controlling the set-top box and improving the convenience of controlling the set-top box.

[0041] In some embodiments, when it is determined based on the identification information that multiple users are within the human body recognition range corresponding to the set-top box, the target playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box are determined based on the identification information corresponding to the user closest to the set-top box.

[0042] For example, when it is determined based on the identification information that there are multiple users within the human body recognition range corresponding to the set-top box, different users may have different video playback requirements. For example, a user who is closer to the set-top box is watching a video through an electronic device, while a user who is farther away from the set-top box is performing other activities. In this case, the current playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box can be adjusted based on the identification information corresponding to the user who is closer to the set-top box, such as the identification information corresponding to the user who is closest to the set-top box, to obtain the target playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box. The user who is closest to the set-top box may be variable. For example, if a user moves around while watching a video, the target playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box can be continuously determined based on the identification information corresponding to the user who is closest to the set-top box to accommodate the video playback requirements of multiple users.

[0043] Of course, it is not limited to this. For example, when it is determined based on the identification information that there are multiple users within the human body recognition range corresponding to the set-top box, the maximum distance, minimum distance, median distance, and mode distance between the users and the set-top box can be determined based on the identification information corresponding to each of the multiple users. According to the change of any one of the maximum distance, minimum distance, median distance, and mode distance between the users and the set-top box, the current playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box can be adjusted to obtain the target playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box to meet the video playback needs of multiple users. There is no limitation here.

[0044] In this way, if it is determined based on the identification information that multiple users are within the human body recognition range corresponding to the set-top box, corresponding identification information can be selected from the identification information corresponding to the multiple users to determine the target playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box, thereby meeting the video playback needs of the multiple users without requiring the users to control the set-top box themselves, which helps reduce the complexity of controlling the set-top box. In addition, different control operations can be performed on the set-top box based on different identification information, which helps to improve the flexibility and convenience of controlling the set-top box.

[0045] In some embodiments, based on the user's parameter adjustment operation on the set-top box and the identification information detected by the set-top box during the parameter adjustment operation, the association relationship between the preset identification information and the target playback parameters is determined; based on the association relationship between the preset identification information and the target playback parameters, the target playback parameters corresponding to the identification information are determined.

[0046] For example, the user can adjust the current playback parameters of the set-top box by himself, such as performing corresponding parameter adjustment operations on the set-top box. When detecting the user's parameter adjustment operation on the set-top box, the set-top box can identify the distance between the set-top box and the user. For example, when the user determines the target playback volume of the set-top box to be playback volume value 1 by the parameter adjustment operation on the set-top box, the distance between the user and the set-top box is S0, then the correlation between distance S0 and playback volume value 1 can be determined, and when the distance between the set-top box and the user is subsequently determined to be S0 according to the identification information, the current playback volume of the set-top box can be adjusted to playback volume value 1. Of course, it is not limited to this. For example, when the user determines the target display brightness of the set-top box to be display brightness 2 by the parameter adjustment operation on the set-top box, the distance between the user and the set-top box is S1, then the correlation between distance S1 and display brightness 2 can be determined, and when the distance between the set-top box and the user is subsequently determined to be S1 according to the identification information, the current display brightness of the set-top box can be adjusted to display brightness 2. This is not limited to this.

[0047] In this way, by determining the association between the preset identification information and the target playback parameters based on the user's parameter adjustment operation on the set-top box and the identification information detected by the set-top box during the parameter adjustment operation, and determining the target playback parameters corresponding to the identification information based on the association, the set-top box can determine the user's parameter adjustment preferences or parameter adjustment habits for the set-top box based on the user's parameter adjustment operation on the set-top box, so as to control the set-top box and adapt to the user's video playback needs, which is conducive to improving the flexibility and convenience of controlling the set-top box.

[0048] In some embodiments, when the electronic device is in a video playback state and it is determined based on identification information that the set-top box has changed from not detecting a human body to detecting a human body within a human body recognition range, the current playback parameters of the set-top box are adjusted according to a first adjustment strategy to obtain the target playback parameters of the set-top box; when the electronic device is in a video playback state and it is determined based on identification information that the set-top box has not detected a human body within the human body recognition range, the current playback parameters of the set-top box are adjusted according to a second adjustment strategy to obtain the target playback parameters of the set-top box; the second adjustment strategy is different from the first adjustment strategy.

[0049] For example, when an electronic device is in a video playback state, a user can watch a video on the electronic device while walking around. For example, after turning on the TV in the living room and tuning to the corresponding TV station, the user goes to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Since there is a wall between the living room and the kitchen, when the user is in the living room, the set-top box can detect a person within the corresponding human body recognition range. When the user is in the kitchen, the set-top box cannot detect a person within the corresponding human body recognition range. As the user walks from the living room to the kitchen, or as the user walks from the kitchen to the living room to continue watching TV, the user's video playback needs may change. Based on this, the human body detection status of the set-top box within the human body recognition range can be determined based on the identification information. For example, if the set-top box changes from not detecting a person within the human body recognition range to detecting a person, or from detecting a person within the human body recognition range to not detecting a person, or the set-top box does not detect a person within the human body recognition range, the current playback parameters of the set-top box can be adaptively adjusted to meet the different video playback needs of the user.

[0050] In some embodiments, according to the first adjustment strategy, the current playback parameters of the set-top box are adjusted, including: reducing the current playback volume of the set-top box, increasing the current display brightness of the set-top box, or at least one of the following: according to the second adjustment strategy, the current playback parameters of the set-top box are adjusted, including: increasing the current playback volume of the set-top box, decreasing the current display brightness of the set-top box, or at least one of the following:

[0051] For example, if the set-top box determines based on the identification information that no human body is detected within the human body recognition range, it can be determined that the distance between the set-top box and the user is relatively far, resulting in the user being obscured by the corresponding object. Accordingly, if the user is obscured by the corresponding object, the user cannot see the video image, and the current display brightness of the set-top box can be reduced to reduce energy consumption. Furthermore, if the distance between the set-top box and the user is relatively far, the current playback volume of the set-top box can be appropriately increased so that the user can still hear the video and audio clearly. Of course, this is not limited to this and is not a limitation herein.

[0052] For example, if it is determined based on the identification information that the set-top box has changed from not detecting a human body to detecting a human body within the human body recognition range, it can be determined that the distance between the set-top box and the user is gradually decreasing. In this case, the current playback volume of the set-top box can be appropriately lowered to prevent the user from being exposed to a loud volume for a long time, thereby protecting the user's hearing. Furthermore, if the distance between the set-top box and the user decreases, and the user needs to see the video clearly, for example, the current display brightness of the set-top box can be appropriately increased so that the user can see the video clearly. Of course, this is not limited to this and is not intended to be a limitation herein.

[0053] Exemplarily, the target playback parameter includes a target video output state parameter. The target video output state parameter can be used to control the set-top box to stop outputting video picture data or to control the set-top box to resume outputting video picture data.

[0054] In some embodiments, when the electronic device is in a video playback state and it is determined based on the identification information that the set-top box changes from not detecting a human body to detecting a human body within the human body recognition range, the target video output state parameter corresponding to the set-top box is increased to a first video output state parameter, so that the set-top box resumes outputting video picture data; when the electronic device is in a video playback state and it is determined based on the identification information that the set-top box does not detect a human body within the human body recognition range, the target video output state parameter corresponding to the set-top box is decreased to a second video output state parameter, so that the set-top box stops outputting video picture data.

[0055] For example, when it is determined according to the identification information that the set-top box does not detect a human body within the human body recognition range, it can be determined that the user is blocked by the corresponding object. Accordingly, when the user is blocked by the corresponding object, the user cannot see the video image, then the target video output state parameter corresponding to the set-top box can be adjusted down to the second video output state parameter so that the set-top box stops outputting video image data, then the electronic device connected to the set-top box can only receive video and audio data, and when it does not receive video image data, play the video only according to the received video and audio data, without displaying the video image, to reduce power consumption. When it is determined according to the identification information that the set-top box changes from not detecting a human body within the human body recognition range to detecting a human body, the user is no longer blocked by the corresponding object. Accordingly, when the user is no longer blocked by the corresponding object, the user can see the video image, then the target video output state parameter corresponding to the set-top box can be adjusted up to the first video output state parameter so that the set-top box resumes outputting video image data, then the electronic device connected to the set-top box can receive video image data again, then the video image data received and the video and audio data received can be combined to play the video.

[0056] In this way, when the electronic device is in the video playing state, the change of the human body detection situation is determined through the identification information of the set-top box, which can be used to determine the change of the user's video playing demand to control the set-top box without the user having to control the set-top box by himself. This is conducive to reducing the cumbersomeness of the operation of controlling the set-top box and improving the flexibility and convenience of controlling the set-top box.

[0057] S103: Output the target playback parameters to the electronic device connected to the set-top box, so that the electronic device plays the video according to the target playback parameters.

[0058] For example, a set-top box can be used to control an electronic device. When an electronic device is connected to a set-top box, as when a communication connection is established, the target playback parameters can be output to the electronic device connected to the set-top box, and the electronic device can then play a video according to the received target playback parameters. For example, the set-top box can output the target playback volume of the set-top box to the connected electronic device, and then the electronic device can be controlled to play a video at the target playback volume. For example, the set-top box can output the target display brightness of the set-top box to the connected electronic device, and then the electronic device can be controlled to play a video at the target display brightness. For example, the set-top box can output the target display screen size of the set-top box to the connected electronic device, and then the electronic device can be controlled to play a video at the target display screen size. Of course, this is not limited to this, and no restriction is made here.

[0059] In some implementations, when the target video output state parameter output by the set-top box to the electronic device is the first video output state parameter, the electronic device is controlled to resume displaying the video image.

[0060] For example, when the target video output state parameter output by the set-top box to the electronic device is the first video output state parameter, the set-top box resumes outputting video picture data to the electronic device, and the electronic device can be controlled to resume displaying the video picture.

[0061] In some implementations, when the target video output state parameter output by the set-top box to the electronic device is the second video output state parameter, the electronic device is controlled to turn off displaying the video image.

[0062] For example, when the target video output state parameter output by the set-top box to the electronic device is the second video output state parameter, the set-top box stops outputting video picture data to the electronic device, and the electronic device can be controlled to turn off displaying the video picture to reduce energy consumption.

[0063] In this way, by outputting the target playback parameters to the electronic device connected to the set-top box, the electronic device can be controlled to play the video according to the target playback parameters to meet the user's video playback needs for the electronic device, without the user having to control the set-top box to adjust the playback parameters of the electronic device. This is conducive to reducing the complexity of controlling the electronic device and improving the convenience of controlling the electronic device.

[0064] The control method of the set-top box provided in the above embodiment obtains identification information of the set-top box within the human body recognition range; determines the target playback parameters corresponding to the set-top box based on the identification information; and outputs the target playback parameters to the electronic device connected to the set-top box so that the electronic device plays the video according to the target playback parameters, thereby reducing the complexity of the operation of controlling the set-top box and improving the convenience of controlling the set-top box.

[0065] Please refer to FIG3 , which is a schematic block diagram of the structure of a set-top box provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure.
