A second region included in the region (250) may be displayed at the bottom of the PC (202).

[0046] According to one embodiment, each of the plurality of slots may be assigned a function based on a user input. For example, the electronic device (110) may display a UI (206) superimposed on the UI (201) for indicating a list of functions that can be performed through the PC (202) based on the user input. The functions that can be performed through the PC (202) may include items owned by the PC (202), skills that the PC (202) can cast, and / or equipment owned by the PC (202). The electronic device (110) may display a list of all functions that can be performed through the PC (202) within the UI (206) based on an input to the object (209). The electronic device (110) may display a list of equipment owned by the PC (202) within the UI (206) based on an input to the object (210). The electronic device (110) can display a list of items owned by the PC (202) based on an input to the object (211). The electronic device (110) can display a list of skills that the PC (202) can cast based on an input to the object (212).

[0047] For example, the electronic device (110) may assign a function to each of the plurality of slots based on input received from the user. By default, the plurality of slots may be set as empty slots. If a function is not assigned to a slot, the slot may be set as an empty slot. The electronic device (110) may assign some of the functions that can be performed through the PC (202) displayed on the UI (206) to the plurality of slots. The electronic device (110) may assign some of the functions that can be performed through the PC (202) displayed on the UI (206) to the plurality of slots based on user input.

[0048] For example, the electronic device (110) may execute at least one of the functions assigned to the plurality of slots based on an input to at least one of the plurality of slots.

[0049] For example, a function for using an item designated in a first slot among multiple slots may be assigned. An object representing the item designated in the first slot may be displayed. Based on an input to the first slot, the electronic device (110) may use the designated item via the PC (202).

[0050] For example, a function for using a skill designated for a second slot among multiple slots may be assigned. An object representing the skill designated for the second slot may be displayed. Based on the input for the second slot, the electronic device (110) may execute the designated skill via the PC (202).

[0051] For example, a function for mounting a designated device may be assigned to a third slot among multiple slots. An object representing the designated device may be displayed. Based on an input to the third slot, the electronic device (110) may mount the designated device via the PC (202).

[0052] A user of an electronic device (110) may repeatedly use functions related to slots in certain situations. For example, in a combat situation, the user of the electronic device (110) may repeatedly use a health (or mana) recovery item owned by a PC (202). In this case, the user may experience inconvenience because he or she must repeatedly perform inputs related to the slots. Therefore, in the following description, an electronic device (110) and a method for periodically executing functions related to slots will be described. In addition, in the following description, an electronic device (110) and a method for periodically executing multiple functions related to multiple slots will be described.

[0053] FIG. 3 illustrates a flowchart of the operation of an electronic device according to an embodiment. The electronic device (101) and / or the processor (111) of FIG. 1 may perform the operations described with reference to FIG. 3 . In the following embodiments, the operations may be performed sequentially, but are not necessarily performed sequentially. For example, the order of the operations may be changed, and at least two operations may be performed in parallel.

[0054] Referring to FIG. 3, in operation 310, the electronic device (110) may display slots for execution of functions available for a player character (PC). For example, the electronic device (110) may display a plurality of slots within a designated area (e.g., a designated area (250) of FIG. 2) within a UI (e.g., UI (201) of FIG. 2) displayed on a display (113).

[0055] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may execute a function related to a slot based on an input to the slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may use an item based on an input to the slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may cast a skill through a PC based on an input to the slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may equip equipment through a PC based on an input to the slot.

[0056] For example, if the function for a slot is set to an item use function, the electronic device (110) can display the number of items held by the PC in the slot as an overlay. If the function for a slot is set to an equipment wearing function, the electronic device (110) can display the durability of the equipment in the slot as an overlay. If the function for a slot is set to a skill casting function, the electronic device (110) can display the number of times a skill can be cast in the slot as an overlay.

[0057] In operation 320, the electronic device (110) may display a first indicator for setting a first duration for periodic execution of a function for the slot based on identifying a first input for the slot.

[0058] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify a first input for a slot. For example, the first input can include a long press input, a swipe input, a double tap input, and a double click input. For example, the first input can be distinguished from an input for executing a function related to the slot. For example, the input for executing a function related to the slot can include a tap input and a click input.

[0059] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may display a first indicator for setting a first time for periodic execution of a function regarding a slot based on identifying a first input.

[0060] For example, the electronic device (110) may display a first indicator. The first indicator may be displayed based on an area extended from a slot. For example, the size of the first indicator may be set to increase based on the movement of the first indicator along a specified direction. The size of the first indicator may be set to decrease based on the movement of the first indicator along an opposite direction to the specified direction. The electronic device (110) may set the first time to be longer based on the increase in the size of the first indicator. The electronic device (110) may set the first time to be shorter based on the decrease in the size of the first indicator. For example, the electronic device (110) may display reference times together with the first indicator. One of the reference times may be set as the first time through the first indicator. According to an embodiment, the first indicator may be displayed overlapping the slot.

[0061] For example, a slot-related function may include a function to use items held by the PC. The electronic device (110) may, based on identifying the first input, display the number of items to be used during a first period of time along with a first indicator. For example, the electronic device (110) may display the number of items to be used during the first period of time as an overlay on the first indicator.

[0062] In operation 330, the electronic device (110) may display a first element for indicating a first time, overlapping the slot, based on a second input for setting a first time.

[0063] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify a second input for setting the first time. For example, the electronic device (110) can identify the second input for setting the first time through the first indicator. The second input can include a drag input. As an example, the electronic device (110) can change the size of the first indicator based on the drag input. The electronic device (110) can identify the size of the first indicator based on the release of the drag input. The electronic device (110) can set the first time based on the size of the first indicator.

[0064] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may display a first element indicating a first time by overlapping the slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may display the first element indicating the first time at the upper left of the slot. The first time indicated by the first element may decrease over time. For example, if the function related to the slot is set to a function for using items held by a PC, the electronic device (110) may display the number of items held by the PC by overlapping the first element in the slot. The electronic device (110) may deduct the number of items held by the PC based on the periodic execution of the function. The electronic device (110) may deduct and display the number of items by overlapping the slot every time an item is used within the first time.

[0065] For example, if a slot-related function is set as a use function of an item held by a PC, the electronic device (110) may periodically execute the slot-related function for a first period of time based on the duration of the item. For example, the duration may be set differently depending on the item. For example, a stamina recovery item may be set to restore the stamina of the PC for 10 seconds. The electronic device (110) may execute the slot-related function in a 10-second cycle. The electronic device (110) may execute the slot-related function for a first period of time in a 10-second cycle. If the first period of time is set to 10 minutes, 60 stamina recovery items may be used during the first period of time.

[0066] For example, if a slot-related function is set to a skill casting function that can be performed on a PC, the electronic device (110) can cast a skill that can be performed on the PC based on the periodic execution of the slot-related function. The electronic device (110) can cast the skill periodically for a first time, for a cooldown time of the skill (e.g., a time set for cooldown).

[0067] According to an embodiment, the electronic device (110) may execute a function related to a slot for a first time period based on satisfying a specified condition. For example, the electronic device (110) may execute a function related to a slot for the first time period based on identifying that the PC's stamina is below a specified value. The electronic device (110) may use a stamina recovery item based on identifying that the PC's stamina is below a specified value. The electronic device (110) may use a stamina recovery item whenever it identifies that the PC's stamina is below a specified value during the first time period.

[0068] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may periodically execute a function related to a slot for a first period of time without inputting the slot. The electronic device (110) may provide a notification to the user after the first period of time has elapsed. For example, the electronic device (110) may change the display of the slot based on the elapsed first period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) may display the slot to blink based on the elapsed first period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) may provide a vibration based on the elapsed first period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) may provide a notification indicating that the first period of time has elapsed through a visual object representing a pop-up window based on the elapsed first period of time.

[0069] FIG. 4 illustrates an example of the operation of an electronic device for periodic execution of a function regarding a slot, according to one embodiment.

[0070] Referring to FIG. 4, the electronic device (110) can display a UI (201) of a game application through a display (113). For example, the UI (201) can include a designated area (250). The electronic device (110) can display slots within the designated area (250).

[0071] In state (410), the electronic device (110) may display a slot (411). For example, the slot (411) may be used to execute a function available for a PC. As an example, the slot (411) may be used to execute an item use function. For convenience of explanation, an example in which the slot (411) is used to execute an item use function is described below, but the present invention is not limited thereto. In some embodiments, the slot (411) may be used to cast a skill. In some embodiments, the slot (411) may be used to mount equipment.

[0072] For example, the electronic device (110) may display an element (418) indicating the number of items held by the PC within the slot (411). The electronic device (110) may display an element (418) indicating the number of items held by the PC overlapping the slot (411).

[0073] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify an input for executing a function (i.e., an item use function) for the slot (411). The input for executing the function for the slot (411) can include a tap input and a click input. Based on the input for executing the function for the slot (411), the electronic device (110) can execute the function for the slot (i.e., an item use function). Based on the execution of the function for the slot, the electronic device (110) can change and display an element (418) indicating the number of items held by the PC.

[0074] In state (420), the electronic device (110) can identify a first input (412) for the slot (411). For example, the first input (412) can include a long press input, a swipe input, a double tap input, and a double click input.

[0075] In state (430), the electronic device (110) may display a first indicator (415) for setting a first time for periodic execution of a function for slot (411) based on identifying the first input (412) of state (420). For example, the electronic device (110) may display the first indicator (415) overlapping the slot (411).

[0076] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can expand the slot (411). The electronic device (110) can display the first indicator (415) based on the expansion of the slot (411). For example, the electronic device (110) can expand the shape of the slot (411) based on identifying the first input (412) of the state (420). For example, the electronic device (110) can set an area (431) in which the first indicator (415) can move based on the expansion of the slot (411). The electronic device (110) can set the first indicator (415) to be movable within the area (431).

[0077] For example, the electronic device (110) may move the first indicator (415) along one of the direction (413) and the direction opposite to the direction (413). As the first indicator (415) moves in the direction (413), the size of the first indicator (415) may increase. As the first indicator (415) moves in the direction opposite to the direction (413), the size of the first indicator (415) may decrease.

[0078] For example, the electronic device (110) may display reference times together with the first indicator. The electronic device (110) may display an element (416) for displaying reference times together with a slot (411). According to an embodiment, the element (416) may be positioned adjacent to the slot (411) along the direction (413).

[0079] For example, the electronic device (110) may set one of the reference times as the first time through the first indicator (415). For example, the electronic device (110) may set the first time to be shorter based on a decrease in the size of the first indicator (415). The electronic device (110) may set the first time to be longer based on an increase in the size of the first indicator (415).

[0080] For example, the electronic device (110) can identify a second input (414) for setting a first time. The electronic device (110) can identify a second input for moving the first indicator (415) and releasing the movement of the first indicator (415). As an example, the second input can include a drag input. The electronic device (110) can move the first indicator (415) based on the drag input. Based on the release of the drag input, the electronic device (110) can set one of the reference times indicated by the first indicator (415) as the first time.

[0081] For example, the electronic device (110) may display an element (419) indicating the number of items to be used during the first time period together with the first indicator (415). As an example, the electronic device (110) may display an element (419) indicating the number of items to be used during the first time period as an overlay on the first indicator (415). According to an embodiment, the element (419) may indicate the number of items to be used during the first time period (e.g., '92' in the state (430)) with respect to the number of items held by the PC. The electronic device (110) may indicate the number of items held by the PC (e.g., '312' in the state (430)) and the number of items to be used during the first time period through the element (419).

[0082] The state (440) may represent a state after the second input (414) is received. For convenience of explanation, in the state (440), the second input (414) illustrated in the state (430) may be referenced.

[0083] In state (440), the electronic device (110) can display a first element (417) for indicating a first time, overlapping the slot (411), based on the second input (414). For example, the electronic device (110) can identify the second input (414). The electronic device (110) can identify the first time, based on the second input (414). The electronic device (110) can display the first element (417) for indicating the first time, overlapping the slot (411). The electronic device (110) can further display an element (418) for indicating the number of items held by the PC, overlapping the slot (411).

[0084] For example, the electronic device (110) may display a first element (417) to indicate a first time at the upper left of the slot (411). The first element (417) may decrease over time. For example, the electronic device (110) may deduct the number of items held by the PC based on the periodic execution of a function. The electronic device (110) may deduct the number of items indicated by the element (418) each time an item is used within the first time. The electronic device (110) may change the display of the first element (418) superimposed on the slot (411) each time an item is used within the first time.

[0085] For example, the electronic device (110) may periodically execute a function related to a slot (411) for a first time period based on the duration of the item. The electronic device (110) may periodically execute a function related to a slot (411) for a first time period based on the duration of the item.

[0086] For example, the electronic device (110) may execute a function related to the slot (411) for a first time period based on the satisfaction of a specified condition. The electronic device (110) may execute a function related to the slot (411) whenever the PC identifies that the PC is in a specified state within the first time period.

[0087] In state (450), the electronic device (110) can periodically execute a function related to the slot (411) for a first period of time without input to the slot (411). The electronic device (110) can provide a notification to the user after the first period of time has elapsed. For example, the electronic device (110) can change the display of the slot (411) based on the elapsed period of the first period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) can display the slot (411) to blink based on the elapsed period of the first period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) can provide a vibration based on the elapsed period of the first period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) can provide a notification indicating that the first period of time has elapsed through a visual object representing a pop-up window based on the elapsed period of the first period of time.

[0088] Figure 5 illustrates a flowchart of the operation of an electronic device according to one embodiment. In the following embodiments, the operations may be performed sequentially, but are not necessarily sequential. For example, the order of the operations may be changed, and at least two operations may be performed in parallel.

[0089] Referring to FIG. 5, in operation 510, the electronic device (110) may identify a third input for setting a merge slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may set a merge slot including a plurality of slots based on the third input.

[0090] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may identify an input for assigning a function to each of a plurality of slots (e.g., slot and at least one slot) included in a merged slot. An example of an input for assigning a function to each of a plurality of slots included in a merged slot will be described in FIG. 6. The input for assigning a function to each of a plurality of slots included in a merged slot may be an example of a third input.

[0091] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify an input for configuring a plurality of slots into a single merged slot. An example of an input for configuring a plurality of slots into a single merged slot will be described in FIGS. 8A and 8B . The input for configuring a plurality of slots into a single merged slot may be an example of a third input.

[0092] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify a setting value regarding the number of slots included in a merge slot based on the third input. The electronic device (110) can set a plurality of slots as merge slots based on the setting value. For example, the number of slots included in the merge slot can be set to 4. The electronic device (110) can set a plurality of 4 slots as merge slots.

[0093] For example, the electronic device (110) may execute multiple functions for multiple slots based on an input to a merge slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may use multiple items based on an input to a merge slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may use all or some of the multiple items based on an input to a merge slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may cast all or some of the multiple skills through a PC based on an input to a merge slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may equip all or some of the multiple pieces of equipment through a PC based on an input to a merge slot.

[0094] In operation 520, the electronic device (110) may display a second indicator for setting a second time for periodic execution of the plurality of functions based on identifying a fourth input to the merge slot.

[0095] For example, operation 520 may correspond to operation 320. The fourth input may correspond to the first input. The fourth input may refer to an input for a merge slot. The first input may refer to an input for a single slot, and the fourth input may refer to an input for a merge slot. For example, the fourth input may include a long press input, a swipe input, a double tap input, and a double click input. For example, the fourth input may be distinguished from an input for executing multiple functions for a merge slot. For example, the input for executing multiple functions for a merge slot may include a tap input and a click input.

[0096] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may display a second indicator for setting a second time for periodic execution of a plurality of functions for a merge slot based on identifying the fourth input.

[0097] For example, the electronic device (110) may display a second indicator. The second indicator may be displayed based on an area extended from the merge slot. The second indicator may correspond to the first indicator of FIG. 3.

[0098] For example, the electronic device (110) may display reference times together with a second indicator. One of the reference times may be set as the second time through the second indicator. In some embodiments, the second indicator may be displayed overlapping a slot.

[0099] For example, the electronic device (110) may expand and display a plurality of slots included in a merged slot based on the fourth input. The electronic device (110) may expand and display the size of each of the plurality of slots. For example, the plurality of functions related to the plurality of slots may include a function for using a plurality of items held by the PC. The electronic device (110) may display the number of items to be used during the second time in each of the plurality of slots based on identifying the fourth input.

[0100] For example, the plurality of slots may include a first slot through a fourth slot. The electronic device (110) may, based on identifying the fourth input, display the number of first items for the first slot to be used during a second time period in the first slot. The electronic device (110) may, based on identifying the fourth input, display the number of second items for the second slot to be used during a second time period in the second slot. The electronic device (110) may, based on identifying the fourth input, display the number of third items for the third slot to be used during a second time period in the third slot. The electronic device (110) may, based on identifying the fourth input, display the number of fourth items for the fourth slot to be used during a second time period in the fourth slot.

[0101] For example, the electronic device (110) may display the number of each of the items to be used during the second time period along with a second indicator based on identifying the fourth input. For example, the electronic device (110) may display the number of each of the items to be used during the second time period overlaid on the second indicator.

[0102] In operation 530, the electronic device (110) can display a second element for indicating a second time, overlapping the merge slot, based on a fifth input for setting a second time for periodic execution of a plurality of functions through a second indicator.

[0103] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify a fifth input for setting a second time for periodic execution of the plurality of functions through the second indicator.

[0104] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify a fifth input for setting a second time. For example, the electronic device (110) can identify the fifth input for setting the second time through a second indicator. The fifth input can include a drag input. As an example, the electronic device (110) can change the size of the second indicator based on the drag input. The electronic device (110) can identify the size of the second indicator based on the release of the drag input. The electronic device (110) can set the second time based on the size of the second indicator.

[0105] According to one embodiment, the execution cycle of each of the multiple functions may be independently set based on the duration of each of the multiple items. For example, the duration of the first item may be 10 seconds, and the duration of the second item may be 60 seconds. If the second duration is set to 2 minutes, the electronic device (110) may use the first item 12 times and the second item 2 times during the second duration.

[0106] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may display a second element to indicate a second time in an overlapping manner in the merge slot. For example, the electronic device (110) may display the second element to indicate the second time in the upper left corner of the merge slot. The second element may decrease over time. The electronic device (110) may deduct the number of items held by the PC based on the periodic execution of the function. If the items are used within the second time, the electronic device (110) may display the number of items held by the PC in the merge slot.

[0107] For example, the electronic device (110) may execute multiple functions related to the merge slot during a first time period based on satisfying a specified condition. As an example, the electronic device (110) may execute multiple functions related to the merge slot during a second time period based on identifying that the PC's stamina is below a specified value. The electronic device (110) may use both stamina recovery items and magic power recovery items based on identifying that the PC's stamina is below a specified value. The electronic device (110) may use both stamina recovery items and magic power recovery items whenever it identifies that the PC's stamina is below a specified value during the second time period.

[0108] For example, if multiple functions related to a merge slot are set as functions of casting multiple skills that can be performed on a PC, the electronic device (110) can cast multiple skills that can be performed by the PC simultaneously or sequentially based on the periodic execution of the functions related to the merge slot.

[0109] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may periodically execute a plurality of functions related to the merge slot for a second period of time without inputting the merge slot. The electronic device (110) may provide a notification to the user after the second period of time has elapsed. For example, the electronic device (110) may change the display of the merge slot based on the elapsed second period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) may display the merge slot to blink based on the elapsed second period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) may provide a vibration based on the elapsed second period of time. For example, the electronic device (110) may provide a notification indicating that the second period of time has elapsed through a visual object representing a pop-up window based on the elapsed second period of time.

[0110] FIG. 6 illustrates an example of an operation of configuring slots included in a merge slot according to one embodiment.

[0111] Referring to FIG. 6, the electronic device (110) can display a UI (201) of a game application through a display (113). For example, the UI (201) can include a designated area (250). The electronic device (110) can display slots within the designated area (250). The electronic device (110) can display a merge slot (610) within the designated area (250).

[0112] For example, the merge slot (610) can be configured based on a setting value set by the user. As an example, the number of slots included in the merge slot (610) can be set based on the setting value. The electronic device (110) can identify the setting value regarding the number of slots included in the merge slot (610) based on the third input. The electronic device (110) can set a plurality of slots as the merge slot (610).

[0113] For example, the merge slot (610) may include a slot (611), a slot (612), a slot (613), and a slot (614). The electronic device (110) may identify an input for setting the function of each of the plurality of slots (i.e., the slot (611), the slot (612), the slot (613), and the slot (614)) included in the merge slot (610). Based on the input, the electronic device (110) may display an object (620) representing the slots (611), the slot (612), the slot (613), and the slot (614) in association with the merge slot (610). For example, the electronic device (110) may display information about the plurality of slots (i.e., the slot (611), the slot (612), the slot (613), and the slot (614)) included in the merge slot (610) while the object (620) is displayed.

[0114] For example, the electronic device (110) may change at least some of the functions of the plurality of slots included in the merge slot (610) while the object (620) is displayed. The electronic device (110) may display the UI (206) while the object (620) is displayed. The electronic device (110) may display a list of all functions that can be performed through the PC (202) within the UI (206). The electronic device (110) may assign one of all the functions that can be performed through the PC (202) to the slot (611) among the plurality of slots. The electronic device (110) may change the function of the slot (611) based on assigning one of all the functions that can be performed through the PC (202) to the slot (611).

[0115] For example, the merge slot (610) may be set based on functions of the same type. The multiple functions of the multiple slots included in the merge slot (610) (i.e., slot (611), slot (612), slot (613), and slot (614)) may be configured as the same type. For example, all of the multiple functions of the multiple slots may be configured as item use functions. For example, all of the multiple functions of the multiple slots may be configured as skill casting functions. For example, all of the multiple functions of the multiple slots may be configured as equipment mounting functions.

[0116] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may be configured with a merge slot (610) to simultaneously execute multiple functions for multiple slots. The electronic device (110) may simultaneously execute multiple functions for multiple slots based on an input to the merge slot (610).

[0117] FIG. 7 illustrates an example of the operation of an electronic device for periodic execution of multiple functions with respect to a merge slot, according to one embodiment.

[0118] Referring to FIG. 7, the electronic device (110) can display a UI of a game application through a display (113). For example, the UI can include a designated area (250). The electronic device (110) can display a merge slot (610) within the designated area. The merge slot (610) described in FIG. 7 can correspond to the merge slot (610) of FIG. 6.

[0119] In state (710), the electronic device (110) may display a merge slot (610). For example, the merge slot (610) may be used to execute multiple functions available for the PC. For example, the merge slot (610) may be used to execute a function for using multiple items. For convenience of explanation, an example in which the merge slot (610) is used to execute a function for using multiple items is described below, but the present invention is not limited thereto. In some embodiments, the merge slot (610) may be used to cast multiple skills. In some embodiments, the merge slot (610) may be used to equip multiple pieces of equipment.

[0120] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify an input for executing multiple functions (i.e., functions for using multiple items) for the merge slot (610). The input for executing multiple functions for the merge slot (610) can include a tap input and a click input. For example, the electronic device (110) can deduct the number of each of the multiple items held by the PC based on the input for executing multiple functions for the merge slot (610).

[0121] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can identify a fourth input (701) for the merge slot (610). For example, the fourth input (701) can include a long press input, a swipe input, a double tap input, and a double click input.

[0122] State (720) may represent a state in which the fourth input (701) is performed. For convenience of explanation, in state (720), the fourth input (701) illustrated in state (410) may be referenced.

[0123] In state (720), the electronic device (110) may display a second indicator (709) for setting a second time for periodic execution of a plurality of functions for the merge slot (610) based on identifying the fourth input (701). For example, the electronic device (110) may display the second indicator (709) overlapping the merge slot (610).

[0124] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can expand the merge slot (610). The electronic device (110) can display the second indicator (709) based on the expansion of the merge slot (610). For example, the electronic device (110) can expand the shape of the merge slot (610) based on identifying the fourth input (701). For example, the electronic device (110) can set an area (712) in which the second indicator (709) is movable based on the expansion of the merge slot (610). The electronic device (110) can set the second indicator (709) to be movable within the area (712).

[0125] For example, the electronic device (110) may move the second indicator (709) along one of the direction (702) and the direction opposite to the direction (702). As the second indicator (709) moves in the direction (702), the size of the second indicator (709) may increase. As the second indicator (709) moves in the direction opposite to the direction (702), the size of the second indicator (709) may decrease.

[0126] For example, the electronic device (110) may display reference times together with the second indicator (709). The electronic device (110) may display an element (711) for displaying reference times together with a merge slot (610). According to an embodiment, the element (711) may be positioned adjacent to the merge slot (610) along the direction (702).

[0127] For example, the electronic device (110) may set one of the reference times as the second time through the second indicator (709). For example, the electronic device (110) may set the second time to be shorter based on a decrease in the size of the second indicator (709). The electronic device (110) may set the second time to be longer based on an increase in the size of the second indicator (709).

[0128] For example, the electronic device (110) can identify a fifth input (703) for setting a second time. The electronic device (110) can identify a fifth input (703) for moving a second indicator (709) and releasing the movement of the second indicator (709). As an example, the fifth input (703) can include a drag input. The electronic device (110) can move the second indicator (709) based on the drag input, which is the fifth input (703). Based on the release of the drag input, the electronic device (110) can set one of the reference times indicated by the second indicator (709) as the second time.

[0129] For example, the electronic device (110) may display elements (704, 705, 706, 707) indicating the number of multiple items to be used during a second time period together with a second indicator (709). As an example, the electronic device (110) may display an element (704) indicating the number of first items for a slot (611) to be used during a second time period within a slot (611). As an example, the electronic device (110) may display an element (705) indicating the number of second items for a slot (612) to be used during a second time period within a slot (612). As an example, the electronic device (110) may display an element (706) indicating the number of third items for a slot (613) to be used during a second time period within a slot (613). For example, the electronic device (110) may display an element (707) within the slot (614) indicating the number of fourth items to be used for the second time slot.

[0130] According to an embodiment, each of elements (704, 705, 706, 707) may represent a number of items to be used during a second time period relative to the number of items held by the PC. For example, element (704) may represent a number of first items (e.g., '92' in slot (611)) to be used during a second time period relative to the number of first items held by the PC (e.g., '312' in slot (611). Element (705) may represent a number of second items (e.g., '80' in slot (612)) to be used during a second time period relative to the number of second items held by the PC (e.g., '106' in slot (612).
