[0001] The present invention relates to a fire suppression battery case for an electric vehicle and a fire suppression connector for an electric vehicle, and more specifically, to a fire suppression battery case for an electric vehicle and a fire suppression connector for an electric vehicle, which enable rapid fire suppression by easily injecting a fire extinguishing agent into the interior of a case member in which a battery pack is installed when a fire occurs in a battery pack, which is a power source of a vehicle, and prevent safety accidents.

[0002] In general, humanity is making significant efforts to improve the performance of battery-powered electric vehicles as part of efforts to reduce air pollution caused by fossil fuel-powered vehicles. Electric vehicles, considered the most eco-friendly vehicles, primarily use lithium-ion batteries as their power source, due to their relatively high energy storage density and ability to generate high voltages.

[0003] As the adoption of electric vehicles continues to increase, significant efforts are being made to develop safer batteries. However, battery fires occur for various reasons, resulting in loss of life and property damage. Battery fires are difficult to extinguish quickly due to thermal runaway, which generates high temperatures in a very short period of time. In most cases, the vehicle is completely destroyed, resulting in significant damage.

[0004] Currently, in the case of a battery fire, the method used is to place the burning vehicle in a tank and wait until the battery is completely burned, but this also creates the difficult situation of having to move the burning vehicle to the tank.

The upper opening / closing member (300) is coupled to the inner or outer surface of the case member (100). The upper opening / closing member (300) enables the upper openings (102) to be opened by heat generated by fire.

[0094] Since the upper opening / closing member (300) is substantially the same as the detailed configuration of the side opening / closing member (200) described above, a description thereof will be omitted.

[0095]

[0096] Second, the battery case for fire suppression of an electric vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention further includes a pipe cover (500), and may further include an opening / closing crushing module (600).

[0097] The pipe cover (500) opens and closes the entrance of the case pipe (400). The pipe cover (500) is illustrated as being separate from the separation cover (SC), but is not limited thereto. The pipe cover (500) may be configured as a part of the separation cover (SC), or the pipe cover (500) may be coupled to the separation cover (SC).

[0098] The pipe cover (500) may include a cover body that seals or closes the inlet of the case pipe (400), and an opening / closing ring (520) provided on the cover body to separate the cover body from the case pipe (400).

[0099] The lid body is provided with at least one of an external support ring (510) supported on the outer surface of the case pipe (400) and an internal support ring (530) supported on the inner surface of the case pipe (400) to stabilize the connection between the case pipe (400) and the lid body. It is preferable that the external support ring (510) and the internal support ring (530) overlap with the lid connection portion (431) of the case pipe (400), respectively.

[0100] For example, the opening / closing ring (520) can be formed integrally with the lid body.

[0101] In more detail, the opening / closing ring (520) may include a cover crushing part (521) spaced apart from the lid body so that a lid separation means for separating the case pipe (400) and the lid body is caught and supported, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 5, and an opening / closing rod part (522) that integrally connects the lid body and the cover crushing part (521). Here, since the cover crushing part (521) has a tip formed toward the separation cover (SC), when the pipe cover (500) is separated from the case pipe (400), the separation cover (SC) provided on the cover member (VC) can be easily separated from the pipe cover (500).

[0102] As another example, the opening / closing ring (520) can be screw-connected to the lid body.

[0103] In more detail, a ring detachment portion (511) is formed penetratingly in the central portion of the lid body. Accordingly, the opening / closing ring (520) may include a cover crushing portion (521) that is supported by a lid separation means for separating the case pipe (400) and the lid body as illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 9, and an opening / closing rod portion (522) that protrudes from the cover crushing portion (521) toward the lid body and is screw-coupled to the ring detachment portion (511). Depending on the screw-coupled state of the opening / closing rod portion (522) and the ring detachment portion (511), the gap between the cover crushing portion (521) and the lid body can be adjusted, and the tension of the crushing line portion (680) described later can be adjusted. Here, since the cover crushing section (521) has a tip formed toward the separation cover (SC), when the pipe cover (500) is separated from the case pipe (400), the separation cover (SC) provided on the cover member (VC) can be easily separated from the pipe cover (500).

[0104] The above-described lid separation means includes a separation extension rod (T) and a separation fork (TP). The separation extension rod (T) has a preset length or is adjustable in length, taking into account the distance from the safest area to the vehicle (V) where the fire broke out. The separation fork (TP) is provided at the end of the separation extension rod (T). The separation fork (TP) is fitted between the cover crushing portion (521) and the opening / closing rod portion (522), and since the opening / closing rod portion (522) is fitted to the separation fork (TP), the separation fork (TP) is supported by being caught on the opening / closing ring (520). Then, when the separation extension rod (T) is pulled, the pipe cover (500) can be separated from the inlet of the case pipe (400).

[0105]

[0106] When the opening / closing shredding module (600) further includes a pipe cover (500), the side opening (101) is opened as the pipe cover (500) is separated from the case pipe (400).

[0107] For example, the opening / closing shredding module (600) can open the side opening (101) using pivot rotational force. It is preferable to apply the opening / closing shredding module (600) as an example to a straight case pipe (400), such as a left-side pipe or a right-side pipe.

[0108] In more detail, the opening / closing crushing module (600) may include a pivot rod portion (610) that is rotatably coupled to the inside of the case pipe (400) via a pivot shaft portion (611), as illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 5, an operating link portion (620) that has one side linked to one side of the pivot rod portion (610) and the other side linked to the pipe cover (500), and a crushing link portion (630) that has one side adjacent to or supported by the side opening / closing member (200) and the other side linked to the other side of the pivot rod portion (610).

[0109] Since the operating link part (620) is made of a soft or hard material, it is sufficient if it can connect the pipe cover (500) and the pivot rod part (610). Either end of the operating link part (620) is detachably connected to the pipe cover (500) or the pivot rod part (610). When the pipe cover (500) is separated from the case pipe (400), the operating link part (620) is separated from the pipe cover (500) or the pivot link part.

[0110] Since the pivot rod part (610) and the crushing link part (630) are made of a hard material, it is sufficient to clearly make the pivot rotation of the pivot rod part (610) and the reciprocating movement of the crushing link part (630) clear.

[0111] An example of an opening and closing shredding module (600) may further include a shredding guide (640) that is coupled to an internal or side opening (101) of a case pipe (400) to allow the extinguishing agent to pass through and that supports a shredding link (630) to be reciprocally movable. The shredding guide (640) is coupled to an internal or side opening (101) of the case pipe (400). Although not shown, a shredding passage through which the extinguishing agent passes and a link passage through which the shredding link (630) can slide are formed through the shredding guide (640).

[0112] Accordingly, when the pipe cover (500) is separated from the case pipe (400), the operating link (620) pulls the pivot link, and as the pivot link rotates, the crushing link (630) strikes the side separation body (230) provided in the side opening / closing member (200), so that the side separation body (230) can be separated from the side opening / closing member (200). In addition, since the heat from the fire acts on the side cut portion (220), the crushing cut portion (231), and the side separation body (230), the side separation body (230) can be separated from the side opening / closing member (200). In addition, since the extinguishing material moving the case pipe (400) strikes the side separation body (230) or the extinguishing material accommodated inside the case member (100) strikes the side separation body (230), the side separation body (230) can be separated from the side opening / closing member (200).

[0113] As another example, the opening / closing shredding module (600) can open the side opening (101) using elastic force. It is preferable to apply the opening / closing shredding module (600) as an example to a case pipe (400) equipped with a pipe joint (411), such as a front pipe or a rear pipe.

[0114] In more detail, the opening and closing crushing module (600) includes a support cap part (650) coupled to the inside of the case pipe (400) to allow the extinguishing agent to pass through, as shown in FIGS. 6 to 9, a crushing wedge part (660) that is reciprocally inserted into the support cap part (650) or the case pipe (400) to allow the extinguishing agent to pass through, a crushing elastic part (670) that elastically presses the crushing wedge part (660) toward the side opening and closing member (200) based on the support cap part (650), and a pipe cover (500) and the crushing wedge part (660) are connected so that the crushing elastic part (670) contracts, and the crushing elastic part (670) is elastically stretched so that the pipe cover (500) is separated from the case pipe (400) and is detachable from the pipe cover (500) or the crushing wedge part (660). It may include a crushing line section (680).

[0115] The support cap part (650) is fixedly joined to the inside of the pipe member (410) in the case pipe (400). A support passage part (651) through which the extinguishing material passes and a line passage part (652) through which the crushing line part (680) passes are formed through the bottom of the support cap part (650).

[0116] A wedge passage (661) through which the extinguishing material passes is formed through the crushing wedge (660).

[0117] The crushing elastic part (670) may be composed of a coil spring to ensure smooth movement of the evolution material.

[0118] The crushing line section (680) is preferably made of a soft material, so that it is flexible and its length change due to external force is suppressed or prevented. One end of the crushing line section (680) is fixed to one of the pipe cover (500) and the crushing wedge section (660), and the other end of the crushing line section (680) is detachably connected to the other of the pipe cover (500) and the crushing wedge section (660). A line fixing section (681) is provided at one end of the crushing line section (680), and a detachable ring section (682) is provided at the other end of the crushing line section (680).

[0119] As a first example, since one end of the crushing line section (680) passes through the pipe cover (500) and is connected to the line fixing section (681), tension control of the crushing line section (680) can be implemented by controlling the position at which the line fixing section (681) is connected to one end of the crushing line section (680) that passes through the pipe cover (500).

[0120] As a second example, since the support cap part (650) is coupled to the inside of the case pipe (400), tension control of the crushing line part (680) can be implemented by adjusting the coupling position of the support cap part (650) in the case pipe (400).

[0121] As a third example, since the opening / closing ring (520) is screw-connected to the lid body, tension control of the crushing line section (680) can be implemented by controlling the screw connection state of the opening / closing ring (520) in the lid body.

[0122] And, in order to detachably connect and connect the detachable ring portion (682), it is preferable that one of the pipe cover (500) and the crushing wedge portion (660) is provided with a wedge detachable portion (662) to which the detachable ring portion (682) is detachably connected. And, when a preset external force or more is applied to the portion where the wedge detachable portion (662) and the detachable ring portion (682) are connected, the detachable ring portion (682) is separated from the wedge detachable portion (662).

[0123] Accordingly, when the pipe cover (500) is separated from the case pipe (400), the detachable ring (682) provided in the crushing line (680) is separated from the wedge detachable part (662), and as a result, the contracted crushing elastic part (670) is stretched elastically, and the crushing wedge part (660) strikes the side separation body (230) provided in the side opening / closing member (200), so that the side separation body (230) can be separated from the side opening / closing member (200). In addition, since the heat due to the fire acts on the side cut part (220), the crushing cut part (231), and the side separation body (230), the side separation body (230) can be separated from the side opening / closing member (200). In addition, since the extinguishing material moving the case pipe (400) strikes the side separation body (230) or the extinguishing material accommodated inside the case member (100) strikes the side separation body (230), the side separation body (230) can be separated from the side opening / closing member (200).

[0124]

[0125] Third, the battery case for fire suppression of an electric vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention may further include a priority fire suppression module (700).

[0126] The priority fire extinguishing module (700) is built into the case member (100). The priority fire extinguishing module (700) disperses or diffuses the fire extinguishing agent inside the case member (100) depending on whether there is a fire.

[0127] More specifically, the priority fire-fighting module (700) may include a fire detection sensor (710) installed in the case member (100) as illustrated in FIG. 1 to detect a fire, and an extinguishing tank (720) that has a built-in extinguishing agent and disperses or diffuses the extinguishing agent when the fire detection sensor (710) detects a fire. Then, the extinguishing agent is preferentially supplied to the location where the fire has occurred, thereby primarily extinguishing the fire and suppressing, delaying, or preventing the spread of the fire.

[0128]

[0129] From now on, a fire connector (EC) for fire suppression of an electric vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 5, 6, and 10.

[0130] A fire suppression connector (EC) for an electric vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention is detachably connected to a battery case for fire suppression of an electric vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention described above. It is sufficient if the fire suppression connector (EC) for an electric vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention can be detachably connected to a battery case in which a case pipe (400) is connected to a case body.

[0131] A fire connector (EC) for fire suppression of an electric vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a fire suppression pipe, a connection nozzle (20), an extension connector (50), and a movable support member (30).

[0132] The suppression pipe forms a path for the extinguishing agent to move. The suppression pipe includes at least the connecting pipe (10) among a connecting pipe (10) that forms a path for the extinguishing agent to move, and an extension pipe (40) that is formed to extend from the inlet of the connecting pipe (10) to form a path for the extinguishing agent to move.

[0133] The suppression pipe may further include an extension bend (41). The extension bend (41) connects the connection pipe (10) and the extension pipe (40) so that the height of the extension pipe (40) above the ground is higher than the height of the connection pipe (10) above the ground.

[0134] The connecting nozzle (20) is detachably fitted into the case pipe (400). The connecting nozzle (20) is attached to the outlet side of the connecting pipe (10) so that the extinguishing agent is discharged.

[0135] It is preferable that a ring-shaped coupling ring portion (21) be formed protruding or recessed on the outer surface of the connecting nozzle (20). More specifically, a ring-shaped connector coupling portion (412) is formed protruding or recessed on the inner surface of the case pipe (400), and a ring-shaped coupling ring portion (21) that is fitted or hooked to the connector coupling portion (412) is formed protruding or recessed on the outer surface of the connecting nozzle (20).

[0136] The extension connector (50) is connected to at least the inlet side of the connecting pipe (10) among the inlet side of the connecting pipe (10) and the inlet side of the extension pipe (40) so that the hose connector (HC) provided on the fire hose (H) to which the extinguishing agent is supplied can be detachably connected.

[0137] The movable support member (30) is connected to the connecting pipe (10) so that it can pivot. The movable support member (30) can slide or roll on the ground. The movable support member (30) can adjust the height at which the connecting pipe (10) is separated from the ground.

[0138] The movable support member (30) may include a movable control unit (31), a movable body (33) to which the movable control unit (31) is coupled, and a movable wheel (32) rotatably coupled to one of the movable control unit (31) and the movable body (33). At this time, the other of the movable control unit (31) and the movable body (33) is pivotally coupled to a connecting pipe (10). Here, the movable body (33) has a cylinder structure to which the movable control unit (31) is coupled so as to be reciprocally movable, so that by manipulating the cylinder, which is the movable body (33), the movable control unit (31) is reciprocally moved in the movable body (33), and the height at which the connecting pipe (10) is separated from the ground can be adjusted.

[0139]

[0140] In addition, a fire connector (EC) for fire suppression of an electric vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention may further include at least one of a handle (60), an opening / closing valve (70), a dummy support member (80), and a flexible material (90).

[0141] A handle (60) is provided at least on the inlet side of the connecting pipe (10) among the inlet side of the connecting pipe (10) and the inlet side of the extension pipe (40) for the user's grip. Although not shown, the handle (60) may be provided with an operating part for operating at least the movable support member (30) among the dummy support member (80).

[0142] An opening / closing valve (70) is provided in at least the connecting pipe (10) among the connecting pipe (10) and the extension pipe (40) for opening / closing the suppression pipe. The opening / closing valve (70) may be provided at the inlet side of the suppression pipe to facilitate user operation.

[0143] The dummy support member (80) is connected to the extension pipe (40) so that it can pivot. The dummy support member (80) can slide or roll on the ground. The dummy support member (80) adjusts the height at which the extension pipe (40) is separated from the ground.

[0144] The dummy support member (80) may include a support adjustment unit (81), a support body (83) to which the support adjustment unit (81) is coupled, and a support wheel (82) rotatably coupled to one of the support adjustment unit (81) and the support body (83). At this time, the other of the support adjustment unit (81) and the support body (83) is pivotally coupled to the extension pipe (40). Here, the support body (83) has a cylinder structure to which the support adjustment unit (81) is coupled so as to be reciprocally movable, so that by manipulating the cylinder, which is the support body (83), the support adjustment unit (81) is reciprocally moved in the support body (83), and the height at which the extension pipe (40) is separated from the ground can be adjusted.

[0145] The flexible material (90) connects the connecting pipe (10) and the connecting nozzle (20) so that at least one of pivot rotation of the connecting nozzle (20) based on the connecting pipe (10) and expansion and contraction between the connecting pipe (10) and the connecting nozzle (20) is possible.

[0146]

[0147] According to the above-described battery case for fire suppression of an electric vehicle and the fire connector (EC) for fire suppression of an electric vehicle, when a fire occurs in the battery pack, which is the power source of the vehicle (V), fire extinguishing material can be easily injected into the interior of the case member (100) in which the battery pack is built, enabling rapid fire suppression and preventing safety accidents.

[0148] In addition, the detailed joint relationship of the side opening / closing member (200) makes it easy to open / close the side opening (101) and facilitates the injection of the extinguishing agent.

[0149] In addition, the side separation body (230) can be easily separated from the side body (210) through the coupling relationship of the side cut portion (220). In addition, since the side separation body (230) is separated to have a smaller size through the coupling relationship of the crushing cut portion (231), the opening of the side opening (101) can be clearly made, and the movement and circulation of the extinguishing material can be facilitated.

[0150] In addition, the inlet of the case pipe (400) can be easily opened and closed through the joint relationship between the case pipe (400) and the cover member (VC), and the injection of the fire extinguishing agent from the outside of the vehicle (V) can be facilitated.

[0151] In addition, the separation cover (SC) can be easily separated from the cover body through the coupling relationship of the cover cutout (CC). In addition, since the separation cover (SC) is separated to be smaller in size through the coupling relationship of the separation cutout (CD), the opening of the inlet of the case pipe (400) can be clearly opened, and the movement and circulation of the extinguishing agent can be facilitated.

[0152] In addition, the case pipe (400) is stably fixed to the case member (100) through the connection relationship of the pipe connection part (420), and the fire connector (EC) that supplies the fire extinguishing agent is guided to the pipe member (410) through the connection relationship of the expansion cone part (430) to facilitate the movement of the fire extinguishing agent and prevent leakage of the fire extinguishing agent, thereby improving the speed of fire suppression.

[0153] In addition, the case pipe (400) can be prevented from interfering with the chassis of the vehicle (V) through the joint relationship of the pipe joint (411), and the case pipe (400) and the outside of the vehicle (V) can be stably connected. In addition, the joint strength of the case pipe (400) and the fire connector (EC) can be improved through the joint relationship of the connector joint (412), and leakage of the fire extinguishing agent from the case pipe (400) can be prevented. In addition, the joint relationship of the cover connection portion (431) can facilitate the joint with the pipe cover (500) or the separation cover (SC).

[0154] In addition, the opening and closing of the upper opening (102) is made easy through the joint relationship of the upper opening and closing member (300), and when the upper opening (102) is opened in response to a fire, the injection of fire extinguishing agent into the interior or the discharge of fire extinguishing agent from the interior can be facilitated.

[0155] In addition, the sealing state of the case member (100) can be stably maintained through the connection relationship of the pipe cover (500), and the opening of the case pipe (400) can be easily performed in case of fire.

[0156] In addition, through the coupling relationship of the priority fire extinguishing module (700), fire extinguishing material can be supplied to the location where the fire occurred immediately after the fire occurred, thereby preventing the spread of the fire.

[0157] In addition, the case member (100) is kept airtight in normal times through the detailed connection relationship of the pipe cover (500), and in case of a fire, the inlet of the case pipe (400) can be easily developed by a separate lid separation means. In addition, in case of a fire, the inlet of the case pipe (400) and the outside of the vehicle (V) can be easily connected through the integration of the pipe cover (500) and the separation cover (SC).

[0158] In addition, the first engagement relationship of the opening / closing ring (520) allows a separate lid separation means to be easily hooked and engaged. In addition, when the opening / closing lid is separated from the case pipe (400) through the structure of the cover crushing unit (521), the cover crushing unit (521) can strongly strike the separation cover (SC) to facilitate the separation of the separation cover (SC) from the cover member (VC).

[0159] In addition, the gap between the cover crushing unit (521) and the lid body can be adjusted through the second coupling relationship of the opening / closing ring (520), and the space into which the separation fork (TP) of a separate lid separation means is inserted can be adjusted. In addition, when the opening / closing lid is separated from the case pipe (400) through the structure of the cover crushing unit (521), the cover crushing unit (521) can strongly strike the separation cover (SC), thereby facilitating the separation of the separation cover (SC) from the cover member (VC).

[0160] In addition, through the coupling relationship of the opening / closing crushing module (600), the outside of the vehicle (V) can be connected to the side opening (101) in a single operation according to the separation operation of the pipe cover (500), and the extinguishing agent can be quickly injected or discharged.

[0161] In addition, through the first coupling relationship of the opening / closing crushing module (600), the crushing link (630) strongly strikes the side separation body (230) with the pivot rotational force according to the separation operation of the pipe cover (500), thereby facilitating the separation of the side separation body (230) from the side opening / closing member (200), and enabling smooth movement of the fire extinguishing material from the outside of the vehicle (V) to the inside of the case member (100).

[0162] In addition, the reciprocating movement of the shredding link part (630) is smoothly performed according to the pivot rotation of the pivot rod part (610) through the coupling relationship of the shredding guide part (640), and the shredding link part (630) can accurately price the side separation body (230) of the side opening / closing member (200), and the separation of the side separation body (230) from the side opening / closing member (200) can be facilitated.

[0163] In addition, through the second coupling relationship of the opening / closing crushing module (600), the crushing wedge (660) can forcefully strike the side separation body (230) with elastic force according to the separation operation of the pipe cover (500), thereby facilitating the separation of the side separation body (230) from the side opening / closing member (200). In addition, the movement of the extinguishing material from the outside of the vehicle (V) to the inside of the case member (100) can be facilitated through the support passage (651) provided in the support cap (650) and the wedge passage (661) provided in the crushing wedge (660). In addition, the sliding movement of the crushing line (680) can be facilitated through the line passage (652). In addition, through the coupling relationship between the wedge detachment part (662) and the detachment ring part (682), the outside of the vehicle (V) is connected to the inside of the case member (100), and then the interference of the crushing line part (680) with the movement of the extinguishing material can be minimized. In particular, when the crushing line part (680) is discharged to the outside of the vehicle (V) together with the discharge lid, the movement of the extinguishing material from the outside of the vehicle (V) to the inside of the case member (100) can be facilitated.

[0164] According to the fire connector (EC) according to the present invention, the extinguishing agent can be injected into the interior of the case member (100) in the safest possible area away from the vehicle (V) where the fire has occurred.

[0165] Additionally, the stepped structure of the suppression pipe allows the user to easily operate the fire connector (EC) in an upright position.

[0166] In addition, the bonding strength of the case pipe (400) and the fire connector (EC) can be improved through the bonding relationship of the coupling ring (21), and leakage of the fire extinguishing agent from the case pipe (400) can be prevented.

[0167] In addition, the connection nozzle (20) can be easily moved to the case pipe (400) through the coupling relationship of the movable support member (30). In addition, the height at which the connection nozzle (20) is spaced from the ground can be adjusted through the height adjustment function of the movable support member (30), thereby facilitating the coupling of the case pipe (400) and the connection nozzle (20) according to the height of the case pipe (400).

[0168] In addition, the user can easily operate the fire connector (EC) through the coupling relationship of the handle (60).

[0169] In addition, it is possible to select whether to supply the extinguishing agent from the suppression pipe through the coupling relationship of the opening / closing valve (70).

[0170] In addition, the extension pipe (40) can be maintained apart from the ground through the coupling relationship of the dummy support member (80), and the movement of the fire connector (EC) can be stabilized. In addition, the height at which the connection nozzle (20) is apart from the ground can be adjusted through the height adjustment function of the dummy support member (80), thereby facilitating the coupling of the case pipe (400) and the connection nozzle (20) according to the height of the case pipe (400).
