Description

[0001] A SYSTEM FOR POP LOAD DISTRIBUTION OPTIMIZATION IN FIXED NETWORKS

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The present invention relates to a system which enables new location recommendations to be created, new network recommendations and customer migration recommendations to be offered to organizations by taking into account the amount of occupancy, weather conditions, possible failures and natural disasters at PoP (Point of Presence) locations that organizations have; new PoP locations and customers to be migrated to these locations to be determined by regularly analyzing the data received from PoP locations via artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning; and organizations to perform network optimization by presenting the said recommendations in a map environment.

[0004] Background of the Invention

[0005] There are infrastructures that allow remote users to connect to the internet in line with the internet service that service provider organizations provide to their existing customers. Among these infrastructures, the point of presence (POP) comprises the points where two or more networks or communication devices establish connections with each other. Points of presence (POPs) are referred to as access points that help devices to establish connection with the internet and to connect with these devices. Today, service provider organizations obtain complex data in a scattered manner and are unable to view existing POP loads when making network plans.

[0006] For this reason, it is understood that there is a need for a system which enables the users making the network plan to view the POP loads and to analyze the data in integrity; and which enables the needed plans to be recommended by taking into account the existing loads on the fixed network.

[0007] The Turkish patent document no. TR2020 / 20015, an application included in the state of the art, discloses an inventory planning system. The said invention relates to a system which enables the inventories that are needed in existing sites or suitable for new installations and purchases to be determined via machine learning models by analyzing the data related to the inventories at the sites in the mobile and fixed network infrastructure. The invention comprises at least one server which is configured to create a data set by receiving fault notifications, installation site information and purchased inventory information transmitted via any communication channel; to process the data by feeding the created data set as input to a machine learning model; to determine the inventories suitable for the sites where new installations will be made through the processed data; and to transmit the determined inventories in the form of a list to the relevant units via any communication channel.

[0008] However, in the Turkish patent document no. TR2020 / 20015, the existing system is not taken into account and in addition, solutions are not provided for updating customer connections rather than inventory content or optimizing the locations where new customers will receive service.

[0009] Summary of the Invention

[0010] An object of the present invention is to realize a system which is developed to enable customer loss problems due to interruptions at points of presence (POPs) to be eliminated.

[0011] Another object of the present invention is to realize a system which is developed to enable organizations to realize cable conservation by enabling new communication points to be added to their existing systems and existing customers to be transferred to closer POPs.
