[0034] Unless otherwise defined, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meanings as those commonly understood by those skilled in the art to which this application belongs. The terms used in this specification are intended only to describe specific embodiments and are not intended to limit this application. The term "and / or" as used herein includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.
[0035] The following describes some embodiments of the present application in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the absence of conflict, the following embodiments and features therein may be combined with each other.
[0036] Traditional vehicles require the remote key to be inserted into the door keyhole to unlock the door and the ignition keyhole to start the vehicle. When inserting the remote key is inconvenient for the user, such as when the user is carrying a lot of items or the remote key is in a bag, it takes a long time to find the remote key, which reduces the user experience.
[0037] Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) systems have gradually evolved from optional features on high-end vehicles to standard features. Traditional PEPS systems primarily consist of door handle microswitches, capacitive touch switches, tailgate microswitches, a remote key, a low-frequency antenna, a push-button start switch, and a PEPS controller. When a user with a remote key is within one to two meters of the vehicle, they touch the capacitive touch switches on the driver's or passenger's door handles, or the microswitches on the driver's or passenger's door handles. The PEPS controller detects the user's distance and position from the vehicle using a low-frequency antenna array, activating radio frequency communication. The antenna in the remote key receives the radio frequency signal, verifying the key's identity. Once authenticated, the remote key transmits a radio frequency signal, which is radiated by the antenna. The vehicle's antenna receives the signal, which in turn unlocks the doors through the controller, achieving keyless entry. Locking the doors, opening the tailgate, and starting the vehicle follow the same principles as unlocking the doors.
[0038] It can be seen that the performance of the remote control key in transmitting and receiving radio frequency signals is a key factor affecting the implementation of the PEPS system. The remote control key transmits and receives radio frequency signals through the antenna, so the layout of the remote control key's antenna is crucial.
[0039] Please refer to Figure 1, which is a partial structural diagram of a remote control key of an embodiment of the present application. The embodiment of the present application provides a remote control key 10, which includes a metal outer frame 100 and a circuit board 200. The metal outer frame 100 encloses a accommodating space 130. The metal outer frame 100 has a first end 110 and a second end 120, and the first end 110 is grounded. The circuit board 200 is accommodated in the accommodating space, and the circuit board 200 has a radio frequency circuit 213 for transmitting radio frequency signals, and the feeding point 214 of the radio frequency circuit is electrically connected to the second end 120. The radio frequency signal emitted by the circuit board 200 is transmitted to the second end 120 through the feeding point, and then the radio frequency signal is transmitted to the metal outer frame 100, so that the metal outer frame 100 radiates the radio frequency signal.
[0040] The metal frame 100 of this application serves as the outer shell of the remote control key 10. By directly using the metal frame 100 as the antenna of the remote control key 10, the antenna is externally located on the surface of the remote control key 10. Specifically, compared to traditional antennas built into printed circuit boards (PCBs), the antenna of the remote control key 10 of this application can significantly reduce the impact of the metal shell of the remote control key 10 on antenna radiation, thereby ensuring the remote control key 10's signal transmission and reception functions and meeting the requirements of the vehicle's PEPS system. It should be noted that the metal frame 100 can be the entire or a portion of the outer shell of the remote control key 10. When the metal frame 100 is the entire outer shell of the remote control key 10, the metal frame 100 can be made of aluminum alloy, stainless steel, or other materials. A remote control key 10 outer shell made of aluminum alloy or stainless steel can ensure radio frequency signal radiation while also enhancing the remote control key 10's drop resistance, durability, and quality. When the metal frame 100 is a portion of the outer shell of the remote control key 10, the metal frame can be made of copper, titanium, or other materials. The metal outer frame 100 made of copper or titanium can radiate stronger radio frequency signals and improve the aesthetics of the remote control key 10 .
[0041] In one embodiment, the remote control key 10 further includes an insulating housing 140, a metal outer frame 100 embedded in the outer surface of the insulating housing, and the inner wall of the insulating housing is fixedly connected to the circuit board 200. In one embodiment, the metal outer frame 100 of this embodiment is part of the outer shell of the remote control key 10. The metal outer frame 100 can be the middle frame or other metal part of the remote control key 10. When the metal outer frame 100 is the middle frame of the remote control key 10, the insulating housing is composed of a first shell and a second shell. The metal outer frame 100 connects the first shell and the second shell and serves as part of the outer shell of the remote control key 10, saving materials for the remote control key 10. When the metal outer frame 100 is another metal part of the remote control key 10, it can serve as a decorative piece of the remote control key 10, enhancing the aesthetics and texture of the remote control key 10. The metal outer frame 100 is embedded in the outer surface of the insulating shell. When the metal outer frame 100 radiates radio frequency signals outward, the influence of the metal on the remote control key 10 on the radiation of the metal outer frame 100 is reduced; the radio frequency circuit on the circuit board 200 includes a radio frequency transmitter, etc. The radio frequency transmitter is used to transmit radio frequency signals. The power supply in the remote control key 10 powers the radio frequency transmitter. The radio frequency signal transmitted by the radio frequency transmitter is transmitted to the metal outer frame 100 through the feeding point on the circuit board 200, and then the radio frequency signal is radiated by the metal outer frame 100 to realize wireless transmission of the radio frequency signal; the circuit board 200 is fixed by the insulating shell. The circuit board 200 is wrapped in the remote control key 10 shell formed by connecting the metal outer frame 100 and the insulating shell to protect the circuit board 200. The material of the insulating shell can be plastic, rubber, etc.
[0042] With reference to Figures 1 and 2, in the embodiment provided in the present application, the circuit board 200 is provided with an impedance matching circuit 210, which is connected between the first end 110 and the ground line. The circuit board 200 is connected to the metal outer frame 100 to form a radio frequency link 300, and the impedance matching circuit 210 is used to adjust the impedance of the radio frequency link 300. It should be noted that the present application does not limit the shape of the metal outer frame 100. Since metal outer frames 100 of different shapes have different capacitance and inductance values, the impedance of the radio frequency link 300 formed by the circuit board 200 and the metal outer frame 100 will also be different. The radio frequency link 300 with an impedance of 50Ω can maintain a balance between the transmission power and loss of the radio frequency signal. In the present application, by connecting the impedance matching circuit 210 to one end (the first end 110) of the metal outer frame 100, the impedance matching circuit 210 can adjust the impedance of the radio frequency link 300 formed by the circuit board 200 and the metal outer frame 100 to 45Ω-55Ω (Ω represents ohms) when necessary. The impedance matching circuit 210 adjusts the impedance of the RF link 300 to approximately 50Ω, which optimizes the RF signal transmission power of the remote control key 10. For example, when the impedance matching circuit 210 adjusts the impedance of the RF link 300 to 50Ω, RF signal reflections from the remote control key 10 are minimized and the RF signal transmission power transmission from the remote control key 10 is maximized, making the wireless RF signal transmitted by the remote control key 10 more easily received by the vehicle's antenna.
[0043] The resistance to current flow in a circuit is called impedance. Specifically, for a circuit with resistance, inductance, and capacitance, impedance is a complex number, typically represented by the letter Z, where the real part of Z is called resistance and the imaginary part is called reactance. Reactance includes capacitive reactance and inductive reactance. Capacitive reactance is the resistance to current flow in a circuit, while inductive reactance is the resistance to current flow in an inductor. As can be seen, both capacitance and inductance increase the impedance of RF link 300. To match the impedance of RF link 300 to 45Ω-55Ω, the reactance should be adjusted to zero, where the impedance is the value of the real part of the resistance.
[0044] Impedance is the sum of resistance and reactance, expressed mathematically as: Z = R + jX, where Z is impedance in ohms; R is resistance in ohms; X is reactance in ohms; and j is an imaginary unit. When X > 0, it is called inductive reactance; when X = 0, the impedance is purely resistive; and when X < 0, it is called capacitive reactance.
[0045] The total reactance of the circuit is expressed mathematically as: X = X L -X C , where X L is the inductive reactance of the circuit, and X C is the capacitive reactance of the circuit.
[0046] Referring to Figure 2, the metal frame 100 can be equivalent to a series inductor and grounded capacitor circuit. The impedance matching circuit 210 has a capacitor, and the capacitor in the impedance matching circuit 210 is electrically connected between the first end 110 of the metal frame 100 and the ground wire. If the impedance of the RF link 300 has an inductive reactance, the impedance matching circuit 210 can only include capacitors, and the number of capacitors can be one or more, and the capacitor itself has an internal resistance. When the number of capacitors is one, the capacitive reactance of the RF link 300 increases, the reactance decreases, and the real resistance increases. When the number of capacitors is multiple, the multiple capacitors can be connected in series or in parallel. When multiple capacitors are connected in series, the capacitive reactance of the RF link 300 increases, the reactance decreases, and the real resistance increases; when multiple capacitors are connected in parallel, the capacitive reactance of the RF link 300 decreases, the reactance increases, and the real resistance decreases.
[0047] In one embodiment, the impedance matching circuit 210 has an inductor, and the inductor in the impedance matching circuit 210 is electrically connected between the first end 110 of the metal frame 100 and the ground line. Specifically, if the impedance of the RF link 300 has capacitive reactance, the impedance matching circuit 210 may only include an inductor, and the number of inductors may be one or more, and the inductor itself has internal resistance. When the number of inductors is one, the inductive reactance of the RF link 300 increases, the reactance increases, and the real resistance increases. When the number of inductors is multiple, the multiple inductors can be connected in series or in parallel. When the multiple inductors are connected in series, the inductive reactance of the RF link 300 increases, the reactance increases, and the real resistance increases; when the multiple inductors are connected in parallel, the inductive reactance of the RF link 300 decreases, the reactance decreases, and the real resistance decreases.
[0048] In one embodiment, the impedance matching circuit 210 includes both capacitors and inductors, and the capacitors and inductors are connected in series or in parallel and are adjusted according to the actual impedance matching requirements of the RF link 300. That is, the connection method of the capacitors and inductors of the impedance matching circuit 210 can be adjusted according to different metal frames 100.
[0049] 3 , an impedance matching circuit 210 provided in one embodiment of the present application includes a first capacitor 211 and a second capacitor 212 . The first capacitor 211 and the second capacitor 212 are connected in series and grounded to increase the capacitive reactance of the RF link 300 , thereby making the reactance approach zero or equal to zero, so that the impedance of the RF link 300 is adjusted to 45Ω-55Ω.
[0050] Specifically, when the impedance matching circuit 210 performs impedance matching on the RF link 300, an analyzer is required for assistance. The analyzer can analyze the RF link 300 to be matched and form a Smith circle for the RF link 300 to be matched. Before impedance matching debugging of the RF link 300, if the impedance of the RF link 300 is not matched, the Smith circle formed by analyzing the impedance of the RF link 300 will not converge to a complete circle. After impedance matching debugging of the RF link 300, if the Smith circle formed by analyzing the impedance of the RF link 300 converges to a complete circle, then the Smith circle meets the preset requirements, and the impedance matching of the RF link 300 is complete.
[0051] Referring to FIG. 4 , in one possible implementation, the first end portion 110 is secured to the circuit board 200 via a first fastener 410 and connected to the ground line of the circuit board 200. The second end portion 120 is secured to the circuit board 200 via a second fastener 420 to form an electrical connection. Specifically, the first fastener 410 and the second fastener 420 may be screws, etc. By providing two threaded holes on the circuit board 200 that match the screws, and each of the first end portion 110 and the second end portion 120 has through-holes for the screw shafts to pass through, the first end portion 110 is secured to the circuit board 200 via one screw, and the second end portion 120 is secured to the circuit board 200 via another screw, thereby achieving a connection between the metal frame 100 and the circuit board 200. The screws used to secure the first end portion 110 and the second end portion 120 are metal conductors, thereby achieving an electrical connection between the first end portion 110 and the circuit board 200, and an electrical connection between the second end portion 120 and the circuit board 200. The first end portion 110 is fixed to the circuit board 200 by the first fastener 410 , and the second end portion 120 is fixed to the circuit board 200 by the second fastener 420 . The connection structure between the metal outer frame 100 and the circuit board 200 is simple and the connection is firm.
[0052] Referring to Figures 1 and 5 , in one possible implementation, a first metal connecting piece 510 is provided on one of the first end 110 and the circuit board 200, and a second metal connecting piece 520 is provided on the other of the first end 110 and the circuit board 200. The first metal connecting piece 510 is provided with a first pin 511, and the second metal connecting piece 520 is provided with a first slot 521, into which the first pin 511 is inserted. A third metal connecting piece 610 is provided on one of the second end 120 and the circuit board 200, and a fourth metal connecting piece 620 is provided on the other of the second end 120 and the circuit board 200. The third metal connecting piece is provided with a second pin 611, and the fourth metal connecting piece is provided with a second slot 621, into which the second pin is inserted. Specifically, the first metal connecting piece 510 is welded to the first end 110, the third metal connecting piece is welded to the second end 120, and the second and fourth metal connecting pieces are welded to the circuit board 200. The first metal connecting piece 510 and the second metal connecting piece 520 are connected via a first plug-in pin 511 and a first slot 521. The third metal connecting piece and the fourth metal connecting piece are connected via a second plug-in pin and a second slot. The metal frame 100 and the circuit board 200 are connected via a plug-in structure, which is convenient for installation and easy disassembly.
[0053] Referring to Figure 6, which is a schematic structural diagram of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present application, a vehicle 20 includes a remote control key 10 according to the above embodiment of the present application.
[0054] In an embodiment of the present application, a remote control key 10 can be used in a vehicle equipped with a keyless entry and start system. The metal frame 100 serves as the antenna of the remote control key 10, and the metal frame 100 is exposed on the outer surface of the remote control key 10. Therefore, the metal frame 100 can directly serve as a radiator of radio frequency signals. This can reduce the adverse effects of the metal housing of the remote control key 10 on the radio frequency signal, such as attenuation and reflection. This allows the radio frequency signal emitted by the remote control key 10 to be easily received by the vehicle's antenna, making the vehicle 20 equipped with the remote control key 10 more responsive and reliable during keyless entry and start. In addition, the circuit board 200 is provided with an impedance matching circuit 210 electrically connected to the metal frame 100. The impedance matching circuit 210 can be used to adjust the impedance of the radio frequency link 300 formed by the connection between the metal frame 100 and the circuit board 200 so that the impedance of the radio frequency link 300 is close to 50 ohms. In this way, the transmission signal power of the remote control key 10 can reach a better state, the energy consumption of the remote control key 10 is minimized, and the problem of different impedances caused by the different shapes and lengths of the metal frame 100 itself can be solved.
