Abstract
Description
Cosmetic product dispenser pot Technical field of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a cosmetic product dispenser pot which can be easily refilled with product, such as skincare cream or makeup powder.
[0002] In this case, the jar includes a base receiving a cup packaging the cosmetic product. When the cup is empty, simply remove it from the jar and put a new one in the base.
[0003] The cup thus consists of a refill of cosmetic product.
[0004] The cup corresponds to a container, or bucket, defining an internal volume for holding the cosmetic product. Technical background
[0005] We are familiar with cosmetic product dispenser jars, which include a base that holds a cup containing a cosmetic product. These jars are closed with lids. These jars are refillable. Indeed, when the cup is empty, it is replaced by another cup filled with a cosmetic product. This allows the jar and its lid to be preserved, which are often designed with a particular aesthetic, with a view to reusing unused parts, in order to avoid having to throw them away and therefore reduce waste even if they are recyclable.
[0006] Once the cup is placed in the base, it can sometimes be difficult to remove it for replacement, since the cup does not have an easily accessible surface for gripping. In fact, it is usually completely embedded in the base.
[0007] To overcome this drawback, it is known to provide a collar in the upper part of the cup which rests on the upper edge of the base, allowing the user to grab the cup with their nails by the collar.
[0008] However, this collar is thin, and sometimes sticks to the upper edge of the base due to dirt, and the user must try several times to successfully remove the cup from the base.
[0009] On the other hand, when the cup is in place in the base, it tends to rotate within the base when the user retrieves product, which is not desirable.
[0010] The present invention aims to overcome the various drawbacks stated above, by means of a cup which can be correctly held within the base when using the pot, and easily removed from the base when refilling the pot, all this while favoring a simple and refined design of the cup, so that it is simple to manufacture.
[0011] This goal is achieved by means of a cosmetic product dispenser pot with a central X axis and comprising:
[0012] - an open base at the top and with a collar;
[0013] - a cup which fits inside the base and is in contact with the base;
[0014] - a ring for fixing the cup on the base, the ring being separate from the base and fixed to the base by cooperation with the neck;
[0015] - a tight-fitting lid for closing the pot, cooperating with the neck of the base by being removably attached to the neck for opening and closing the pot.
[0016] This pot is mainly characterized by the fact that the ring has means for attaching the cup to the ring.
[0017] The main idea of this invention is to provide a ring that fulfills different functions, namely: the function of holding the cup in position in the base: thus the cup does not rotate and does not lift when the user takes product from it. There is therefore a rotational lock and an axial lock. the function of hooking the cup in order to create a ring / cup subassembly in the pot. This subassembly has a definite advantage when refilling the pot, because the removal of the ring from the base automatically leads to the removal of the cup because it is the entire subassembly that is removed. Then the user only has to pull on the cup to tear it off the ring. This last step is very easy, because the user has access to the entire peripheral wall of the cup, so he can easily grip it. In addition, this peripheral wall is clean, so the user does not get his fingers dirty when gripping the cup.
[0018] According to the different embodiments of the invention, which may be taken together or separately: said means for attaching the cup are activated when the ring is mounted on the base. The attachment between the cup and the ring is done when the ring is mounted on the base, the cup already being positioned in the base. The attachment is done simultaneously with the fixing of the ring on the base, when the pot is mounted. The attachment thus occurs at a given moment, sequentially. the cup is attached under the ring. the cup has a collar extending radially outwards, said collar being held between the ring and the base after the pot is mounted. the ring is removable from the base. the ring is entirely housed inside the lid when the pot is closed. the ring has axial locking means relative to the base, and rotational locking means relative to the base.said cup attachment means consist of harpoons projecting from an inner skirt of the ring and engaging with an inner peripheral wall of the cup when the ring is mounted on the base. said cup attachment means consist of attachment housings in which a collar of the cup is snapped when the ring is mounted on the base. each attachment housing is formed between an upper wall of the ring and a projection projecting from an outer skirt of the ring. the projections are deformable to receive a collar of the cup in the housings and axially lock the cup in position relative to the ring. the collar of the cup rests on the upper edge of the neck of the base, the ring having an upper wall in sealed support on the collar of the cup. the cup is designed in a material comprising paper. the cup is designed in a metallic material.the neck of the base has an upper annular area for attachment to the ring and a lower annular area for attachment to the cover. after disassembly of the ring from the base, the cup remains attached to the ring and can be separated from the ring by pulling. the ring, the base, and the cover are made of the same plastic material, of the polypropylene type.
[0019] The invention also relates to a method for mounting and dismounting the pot as described above, comprising the following steps: for mounting, positioning the cup in the base, the collar of the cup resting on an upper edge of the neck of the base; fixing the ring on the base by a rotational movement until the radial and axial locking of the ring relative to the base, an upper surface of the ring compressing the collar of the cup on the upper edge of the neck of the base, and simultaneous attachment of the cup to the ring by attachment means; for dismounting, separation of the ring and cup assembly relative to the base by a rotational movement of the ring relative to the base, in the opposite direction to the mounting; removal of the cup relative to the ring by pulling on the cup so as to remove it from the attachment means. [0031] By convention, the "axial" direction corresponds to that of the main extension of the pot, illustrated by the X axis on the, and the "radial" direction is orthogonal to the axial direction.
[0032] In the detailed description of the figures which follow, the terms “upper” and “lower” or “top” and “bottom” will be used in a non-limiting manner in reference to the axial direction.
[0033] Thus, the term "upper" means a part located in the vicinity of a cover 3 of the pot 1, and the term "lower" means a part located in the vicinity of a bottom of the pot 1.
[0034] Similarly, the terms "outer or external" and "inner or internal" are used in reference to the radial direction, with an outer element being radially further from the X-axis than an inner element.
[0035] The cosmetic product dispenser pot 1 shown in the figure extends along a main axis X, and is mainly made up of a base 2 into which a cup (not visible) is inserted, capable of being loaded with cosmetic product, the pot being closed by a lid.
[0036] When pot 1 is closed, and base 2 is opaque, cup 5 is not visible to the user.
[0037] When the pot 1 is open, as in, the cup 5 is still not visible to the user, at least when the cup 5 is full of product. Indeed, its upper part is covered by a ring 4, and its inner walls are covered by the cosmetic product.
[0038] Ring 4 and base 2 are responsible for providing a clean and refined aesthetic appearance when the user opens jar 1.
[0039] When base 2 is transparent, then cup 5 is clearly visible to the user, whether pot 1 is closed or open.
[0040] The illustration illustrates pot 1 in an exploded view. In this view, we can see all the parts making up pot 1. In this case, there is the base 2, the cup 5, the ring 4, a seal 31 and a lid 3.
[0041] Optionally, a lid 32 can be added to further improve preservation before the first use of pot 1.
[0042] In order, the cup 5 is mounted in the base 2, then the ring 4 is mounted on the base 2, then optionally the cover 32 is affixed to the ring 4, and finally the assembly composed of the cover 3 and the sealing gasket 31 is mounted on the base 2, covering the ring 4.
[0043] Cup 5 is intended to package the cosmetic product. It constitutes a product refill. When it is empty, it can be replaced with a new cup 5 filled with product. Cup 5 is therefore what is called a "consumable".
[0044] By cosmetic product, we mean for example a product of the makeup powder type, or a semi-fluid product of the cream type or of the foundation type.
[0045] All the parts mentioned have shapes of revolution around the X axis, which corresponds to a mounting axis of pot 1, in the center of pot 1.
[0046] The base 2 is defined by a peripheral wall and a bottom, which together delimit a housing for receiving the cup 5. The base 2 is thus open at the top so that the cup 5 can be inserted there.
[0047] The base 2 has a neck 20 in the upper part which fulfills different functions, as will be explained in the rest of the description.
[0048] Cup 5 consists of a container suitable for storing the cosmetic product.
[0049] It has a peripheral wall 51 and a bottom 55.
[0050] In the example presented, the cup 5 has a diameter greater than its height, but it would be entirely possible to provide a cup 5 with a diameter less than its height, within the framework of the present invention. It may also be envisaged to provide a peripheral wall 51 of hemispherical shape.
[0051] This cup 5 can also be called a bucket.
[0052] The cup 5 has a collar 52 extending radially outwards.
[0053] The 5 cup has a simple and refined shape, which allows for easy, large-scale manufacturing. The 5 cup is devoid of major technical features to make it as simple as possible and as inexpensive to produce, as it is a consumable. For example, the cup has no fastening means.
[0054] The cup 5 may be made of a material comprising paper.
[0055] The cup 5 may also be made of a material including cardboard, or plastic, or metal.
[0056] Cup 5 could also be made of an organic, or plant-based material such as wood.
[0057] Any material can be used as long as it allows a cup 5 to be manufactured with one of the shapes described above, and with a collar 52 having a relatively thin thickness, preferably less than 0.3 mm, and even more preferably less than 0.1 mm.
[0058] The collar 52 of the cup 5 rests on the upper edge 26 of the neck 20 of the base 2 when the cup 5 is placed inside the base 2.
[0059] This implementation is particularly visible in the section view.
[0060] Preferably, to ensure good positioning of the cup 5 in the base 2, the cup 5 has an upper section 53 widened at its peripheral wall 51, which allows it to fit an upper part 27 of the internal peripheral wall of the base 2. This upper part 27 of the internal peripheral wall of the base 2 is slightly flared upwards, just like the upper widened section 53 of the cup 5, so that there is a correspondence of shape, and a peripheral plane support between the cup 5 and the base 2.
[0061] The enlarged upper section 53 of the cup 5 is produced by a slight offset 54, or shoulder, relative to the rest of the peripheral wall 51.
[0062] Such a step 54 or shoulder is however not necessary, and the peripheral wall 51 could remain uniform while having an upper section (not widened) which correctly matches the internal shape of the base 2 so as to obtain the same peripheral plane support between the cup 5 and the base 2.
[0063] When the cup 5 is placed in position within the base 2, the bottom 55 of the cup 5 does not necessarily rest on the bottom of the base 2, as illustrated in the. The cup 5 is thus suspended in the base 2. It is the collar 52 which rests on the upper edge 26 of the base 2.
[0064] In order to hold the cup 5 in position within the base 2, the ring 4 is added from above.
[0065] This ring 4 is fixed to the neck 20 of the base 2, more precisely on an upper part 22 of the neck 20 of the base 2. By fixing the ring 4 on the base 2, an upper wall 43 of the ring 4 comes to bear on the collar 52 so as to press it against the upper edge 26 of the neck 20 of the base 2. Thus, the collar 52 is wedged on the one hand between the ring 4 and on the other hand between the neck 20 of the base 2. The upper wall 43 of the ring 4 is parallel to the collar 52.
[0066] The ring 4 is sized so that its attachment to the base 2 causes sufficient compression of the collar 52 so that it is tightly tightened and well maintained, and so that there is no play when the user takes product from the cup 5.
[0067] The compression operated by the ring 4 on the collar 52 therefore induces a first level of sealing so that product does not pass between the collar 52 and the ring 4.
[0068] Thanks to this compression carried out by the ring 4, the cup 5 is fixed to the neck 20 of the base 2, that is to say that it is blocked in rotation and axially.
[0069] The ring 4 can be fixed to the base 2 by any conventional means, as long as the ring 4 can remain removable from the base 2. This means that the ring 4 must be able to be removed from the base 2 easily, without damage.
[0070] Preferably, the ring 4 is mounted on the base 2 via a rotational movement. For example, the ring 4 can be fixed to the base 2 by a bayonet principle, or by screwing, or by elastic fitting.
[0071] The ring 4 is removable so that it can be removed without damage, which would otherwise be contrary to the objective of the present invention.
[0072] Indeed, ring 4 is one of the reusable parts in pot 1 when cup 5 is changed to refill pot 1 with product. It is therefore essential to have a ring 4 that can be easily removed from base 2, and without damage, hence the notion of removability.
[0073] Advantageously, the pot 1 has means for fixing the ring 4 to the base 2.
[0074] In an example not illustrated, these fixing means could consist of a thread provided on an internal wall of the external skirt 44, which cooperates with a thread provided on the neck 20 of the base 2.
[0075] In another example illustrated here, the fixing means consists of a cam system.
[0076] More precisely, the ring 4 has an external skirt 44 comprising at least one protuberance 47, acting as a cam, projecting from an internal wall of the external skirt 44, which slides on a first section 25 of helical ramp provided for this purpose on an external wall of the neck 20 of the base 2, until it approaches a first lateral stop 28 and is positioned under a second stop 29 perpendicular to the first stop 28, to block any axial movement of the ring 4 relative to the base 2. The two stops 28, 29 belong to the base 2. The second stop 29 associated with the protuberance 47 thus constitutes means for axially blocking the ring 4 relative to the base 2
[0077] In the illustrated invention, the ring 4 has two diametrically opposed protuberances 47, and the base 2 consequently has two diametrically opposed first stops 28 and two diametrically opposed second stops 29. This makes it possible to properly lock the ring 4 axially relative to the base 2, and to allow such locking after a rotation corresponding to a maximum of half a turn.
[0078] In addition to the means of attachment to the base 2, the pot 1 has means of guiding the rotation of the ring 4 relative to the base 2 when it is put in place.
[0079] More precisely, the rim 42 of the external skirt 44 of the ring 4 is designed to slide on a second section 24 of helical ramp provided for this purpose on the external wall of the neck 20 of the base 2.
[0080] This second section 24 ends with a return 24a followed by a boss 24b which marks the end of the rotational guidance.
[0081] In the same way, the rim 42 of the external skirt 44 of the ring 4 has a return 42a followed by a boss 42b whose shapes match those of the return 24a and the boss 24b of the ramp.
[0082] The correspondence of the bosses 24b, 42b forms a hard point which thus constitutes means for locking the ring 4 in rotation relative to the base 2.
[0083] When the hard point 24b is passed, the protrusions 47 are normally wedged against the second stops 29.
[0084] Thanks to this second section 24 of helical ramp, it is not necessary to index the ring 4 relative to the base 2. Whatever the angular position of the ring 4 on the base 2 at the time of assembly, the contact between the rim 42 and the second section 24 of helical ramp combined with the rotational movement of the ring 4 makes it possible to slide the ring 4 relative to the base 2 smoothly, with a simple gesture, at most over a half-turn, to obtain perfect positioning as well as locking of the ring 4 on the base 2.
[0085] Advantageously, the first helical ramp section 25 can be combined with the second helical ramp section 24 in certain areas. Indeed, certain parts of the sections 24, 25 are common, and other parts are separate.
[0086] In this case, the common part of the ramp sections 24, 25 is located downstream of the hard point 24b, and the parts separate at the level of the two stops 28, 29.
[0087] On the common part, the width of the ramp is doubled.
[0088] According to the invention, the ring 4 has means for attaching the cup 5.
[0089] These attachment means allow the cup 5 to be attached to the ring 4 in order to form a ring 4 / cup 5 sub-assembly.
[0090] These means of attachment of the cup 5 are activated when the ring 4 is mounted on the base 2.
[0091] The cup 5 is hooked under the ring 4, given the assembly order, that is to say the ring 4 being positioned on the cup 5 which is itself positioned in the base 2.
[0092] Thus, when mounting the ring 4 on the base 2, that is to say during the rotational movement of the ring 4 relative to the base 2, an attachment takes place between the cup 5 and the ring 4. This attachment therefore takes place simultaneously with the fixing of the ring 4 on the base 2, and simultaneously with the compression of the collar 52 to hold the cup 5 in the base 2.
[0093] Preferably, the attachment means consist of attachment housings 49 in which the collar 52 of the cup 5 is snapped during the mounting of the ring 4 on the base 2. Thus the collar 52 of the cup 5 fits into the attachment housings 49.
[0094] More specifically, each attachment housing 49 may consist of a groove (not shown) provided for this purpose in the inner wall of the outer skirt 44.
[0095] Alternatively, as in the example illustrated, the attachment housing 49 is defined by the space available between a radial projection 48 and the upper wall 43 of the ring 4. This radial projection 48 projects from the inner wall of the outer skirt 44. Preferably, there are four radial projections 48 distributed over the outer skirt 44 of the ring 4, as can be seen in particular. This thus corresponds to four attachment housings 49.
[0096] In the case where the collar 52 is slightly flexible and supple, it can deform so as to be inserted between the projections 48 and the upper wall 43 of the ring 4, that is to say to be positioned in the attachment housings 49.
[0097] In the case where the collar 52 is rigid and cannot deform, the projections 48 are then provided to be elastically deformable, so as to allow the rigid collar 52 to access the attachment housings 49.
[0098] A hooking thus occurs in the end, either by deformation of the cup 5, or by deformation of the ring 4.
[0099] According to another example illustrated in Figures 9 and 10, the attachment means consist of harpoons 40 projecting from an inner skirt 45 of the ring 4 and engaging with the peripheral inner wall 51 of the cup 5 when mounting the ring 4 on the base 2.
[0100] These harpoons 40 are distributed regularly around the perimeter of the skirt 45.
[0101] In all cases, the cup 5 is attached to the ring 4 at the end of mounting the ring 4 on the base 2. The attachment means are hidden from the user.
[0102] To close the pot 1, the cover 3 fitted with its seal 31 covers the ring 4, and is fixed to the base 2. The pot 1 is thus closed with a second level of sealing.
[0103] The lid 3 is removably attached to the base 2, to allow both the closing and opening of the pot 1.
[0104] More precisely, the cover 3 is fixed to the base 2 by screwing. Indeed, the cover 3 has an external skirt 34 provided with an internal thread 33 capable of cooperating with an external thread 23 provided on the neck 20 of the base 2.
[0105] Advantageously, the neck 20 of the base 2 has an upper annular zone 22 for attachment to the ring 4 and the cup 5, and a lower annular zone 21 for attachment to the cover 3. The neck 20 of the base 2 thus fulfills different functions.
[0106] Thus, the external thread 23 for fixing with the cover 3 is provided on the lower annular area of the neck 20 of the base 2.
[0107] And the different sections 25, 24 of ramp with their stops 28, 29 are provided on the upper annular zone 22 of the neck 20 of the base 2.
[0108] The lid 3 is thus fixed to the base 2 and not to the ring 4. This makes it possible to completely hide the ring 4 when the pot 1 is closed. In fact, the ring 4 is entirely housed inside the lid 3 when the pot 1 is closed.
[0109] Cup 5 is not in direct contact with the lid, because there is the ring between the two.
[0110] When cup 5 is empty and the user wishes to change it to refill pot 1, he simply has to remove ring 4 from base 2, and he then recovers the ring 4 and cup 5 assembly because the two parts are attached to each other.
[0111] The user then has access to the entire peripheral wall 51 of the cup 5, and can thus take hold of it to tear it off the ring 4 by pulling on it.
[0112] The external peripheral wall 51 of the cup 5 is clean, and therefore the user's fingers do not slip and do not get dirty, unlike the prior art where the user had to remove the cup 5 by inserting his fingers inside the cup 5 or by gripping the collar 52 of the cup 5 which could be dirty by the cosmetic product.
[0113] The presence of ring 4 in pot 1 allows easy, clean changing of cup 5 when reloading pot 1.
[0114] Advantageously, the ring 4 has gripping zones 41 so that the user can place his fingers there and hold it correctly during assembly and disassembly. These gripping zones 41 are located on the outer wall of the external skirt 44, at the level of the returns 42a of the helical ramp 42.
[0115] Advantageously, the ring 4 has an inner skirt 45 with an upper inner groove 46 on which the cover 32 for closing the central window of the ring 4 can rest before first use.
[0116] Preferably, the ring 4, the base 2, and the cover 3 are made of the same plastic material.
[0117] The plastic material may be selected from polypropylene (PP), recycled polypropylene (R-PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET), a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), polyethylene (PE), such as low density polyethylene (LDPE) and / or high density polyethylene (HDPE), a composite material, a post-consumer recycled material (PCR and / or a similar material). Preferably, it is recycled or non-recycled polypropylene and / or polyethylene terephthalate.
[0118] Thus, advantageously, the base 2, the ring 4 and possibly the cover 3 are made of plastic material chosen from polypropylene and / or polyethylene terephthalate.
[0119] Furthermore, the use of plastics, particularly similar plastics for the entire pot 1, facilitates recycling. In particular, polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate are two plastics whose recycling cycle is well known.
[0120] Pot 1 can be made using 3D printing.
[0121] In particular, the base 2, the ring 4, the cup 5 and possibly the lid 3 can be produced using 3D printing. Such a printing process makes it possible, in particular, to produce these parts very freely, presenting patterns and shapes contributing to the aesthetic appearance of the pot 1.
[0122] Pot 1 as presented previously allows assembly and disassembly with simplified gestures.
[0123] It also allows easier extraction of the cup 5 relative to the ring 4 thanks to the removal of the ring 4 / cup 5 assembly which is formed thanks to the attachment means.
[0124] Advantageously, the pot 1 according to the invention is easy to assemble.
[0125] Indeed, there is first of all a step of positioning the cup 5 in the base 2, the collar 52 of the cup 5 coming to rest on the upper edge 26 of the neck 20 of the base 2.
[0126] Then there is a step of fixing the ring 4 on the base 2 by a rotational movement until the radial and axial locking of the ring 4 relative to the base 2. Simultaneously, an upper surface 43 of the ring 4 compresses the collar 52 of the cup 5 on the upper edge 26 of the neck 20 of the base 2, which causes the cup 5 to be fixed to the base 2 thanks to the ring 4. Simultaneously again, there is a hooking of the cup 5 to the ring 4 by the hooking means.
[0127] Thus, in a single movement (a clockwise rotation), the base 2, the ring 4 and the cup 5 are simultaneously fixed and attached to each other. All that remains is to close the pot 1 with the lid 3.
[0128] Advantageously, the pot 1 according to the invention also has easy disassembly.
[0129] Indeed, after removal of the cover 3, there is first of all a step of separation of the ring 4 and cup 5 assembly relative to the base 2 by a rotational movement of the ring 4 relative to the base 2, in an anticlockwise direction.
[0130] Then there is a step of removing the cup 5 from the ring 4 by pulling on the cup 5 so as to remove it from the attachment means. The ring 4 is then ready to be reassembled on the base 2 in which a new cup 5 filled with product will have been previously placed.
[0131] The configurations shown in the figures cited are only possible examples, in no way limiting, of the invention which on the contrary encompasses the variants of shapes and designs within the reach of those skilled in the art.
