Abstract
Description
[0001] ELECTRIC SPRAYER DEVICE
[0002] DESCRIPTION
[0003] The present invention relates to an electric sprayer device, which can be suitable for use in industrial and / or domestic settings. In preferred embodiments, the present invention relates to an electric foam sprayer device, which can be used to spray cleaning products and / or biocidal products for pest control, eradication, or prevention.
[0004] The use of sprayers in cleaning and biocide applications has been widely known since the invention of the first modern sprayers in the 1940s. Since then, new applications have been sought, as well as ways to increase their efficiency and make them easier for the average user. One of the main ways to make them easier to use was the shift from manual sprayers with a hand pump to introduce air into the device to electric sprayers.
[0005] This electric sprayer concept was originally based on the incorporation of an external electric compressor, which was connected to the sprayer. Over time and with technological advancements, these external compressors could be reduced in size enough to be incorporated into the sprayer itself while still maintaining a device that was accessible and manageable for the average user.
[0006] The concept of electric sprayers with a built-in compressor is well known in the prior art. For example, Chinese document CN215354120U discloses a sprayer according to the pre-characterizing part of claim 1 of the present invention. The sprayer of document CN215354120U is an electric sprayer device comprising a spray head, a main device, a lower base containing a battery and a compressor, and an air duct perpendicular to the lower base that passes through the tank wall.
[0007] To connect the compressed air line from the compressor to the tank, this document uses a system that requires a connector sleeve perpendicular to the base, secured by an L-shaped sealing ring and a nut, which holds the assembly in place. These parts must be located inside the tank. The device in this document presents sealing problems. For example, if the air column or line connecting the compressor and the tank is not properly seated on the L-shaped ring and / or the nut loosens for any reason, there is a risk of fluid leaks or seepage from the tank.
[0008] An objective of the present invention is to provide an electric spraying device that solves the aforementioned drawback. More particularly, the present invention provides a spraying device comprising a) a spraying head, which comprises a liquid outlet conduit, b) a main tank, c) an air inlet conduit for pressurizing the tank, which is arranged inside the main tank, and d) a lower base of the device comprising pressurizing means for the main tank and an electric battery for supplying the pressurizing means, wherein said air inlet conduit in the lower base of the tank is integrated into said lower base of the tank, forming a single piece connected to the base.
[0009] This structure, unlike that of the aforementioned device from the prior art, achieves complete tightness of the tank, as it is a design in which the conduit-to-base connection does not have gaps and in which its tightness with the conduit coming from the compressor can be ensured, for example, by using a plug-in connection outside the tank with standard type O-rings instead of using an L-shaped ring, a nut and a non-integrated tube. In this way, the structure of the present invention is not subject to potential loosening or direct leak paths, and also requires fewer components, thus completely eliminating the possibility of liquid leaks, which, depending on the liquid being used, could be potentially dangerous to the user's health and the integrity of the compressor components. At the same time, the risk of air leakage from the compressor is also minimized due to the aforementioned plug connection outside the tank with standard O-rings.
[0010] Preferably, the tank of the electric spray device comprises two parts welded together. More preferably, the two welded parts are manufactured by injection molding. This embodiment facilitates the integration of the tube into the tank wall. These two parts can, for example, be obtained by molding (preferably injection) and then welded together by, for example, a thermal process.
[0011] Preferably, the lower base comprising the battery and the air compressor is a removable part independent of the tank. In a more preferred embodiment, said lower base comprising the battery and the air compressor is attached to the tank by bolts, and even more preferably, the skeleton of said lower base is manufactured by injection molding.
[0012] Preferably, the spray head of the device comprises a manual air pump for introducing air into the device, as an alternative and / or complement to the electric air compressor.
[0013] Preferably, a section of the air inlet duct protrudes from the base of the tank toward the exterior of the tank. Preferably, the connection between the air inlet duct at the lower base of the tank and a tube of matching diameter originating from the compressor, located at the lower base of the device, is sealed using sealing elements. More preferably, said sealing element is an O-ring arranged concentrically between said section of the air inlet duct and the duct originating from the compressor.
[0014] Preferably, the conjugate diameter tube from the compressor is integrated into the lower base of the device. Alternatively, said conjugate diameter tube from the compressor is an external part that is attached to the lower base of the device.
[0015] Preferably, the electric spray device included in any of the previous embodiments further comprises a non-return valve at the upper end of the air inlet duct, thus preventing the entry of liquids from the tank to the lower base of the device.
[0016] Preferably, the material used to manufacture the tank is plastic. Preferably, the electric spray device is a foam-generating device.
[0017] Preferably, the electric sprayer device can be used in the field of vehicle cleaning, general cleaning (bathrooms, kitchens, etc.), as well as in the agricultural and gardening fields, and in the application of biocides or other compounds that can be used for the protection, control, or prevention of pests.
[0018] For better understanding and in a non-limiting manner, a sample of representative drawings of some of the preferred embodiments of the present invention are attached.

[0025] Figure 7 shows a sectional view of the lower base of the device.
[0026] Figure 8 shows the two parts that make up the main tank. Figure 9 is a cross-section of the lower base of the device.
[0027] Figure 10 shows a section detail in which the connection of the compressor (7) with the air inlet duct can be observed.
[0028] Figure 11 shows a lateral cross-section of the device.
[0029] Figure 12 shows a sectional detail of another embodiment in which the connection of the compressor (7) with the air inlet duct can be observed.
[0030] As can be seen in the figures, the electric sprayer in the example shown is divided into three main parts: a spray head (1), a main tank (2) and a lower base (3).
[0031] Starting from the bottom, the lower base of the device (3) as shown in Figure 7, comprises a battery (6) that supplies the pressurization means (7), in this case a compressor, and has a casing that closes the assembly by means of screws (14). Said lower base also contains a tube (9) that forms part of the piece itself, and that connects the compressor (7) with the air inlet duct (8). Through the duct or tube (9) the air coming from the compressor (7) is conducted towards the main tank (2) (see Figure 4). The connection is made with a section of the air inlet duct that forms an integral part of the base of the tank and that protrudes from said base towards the outside of the tank, that is, towards the base.By making the connection through concentric tubes using O-rings (10) and outside the tank, a good seal is obtained and the risk of leaks or loss of liquid from the tank (2) is eliminated, as well as minimizing the risk of air leaks.
[0032] The main tank (2) is formed by two pieces welded together, an upper one (4) and a lower one (5), in which the air inlet duct (8) is integrated. Said air inlet duct (8) protrudes from the walls of the main tank (2) inwards until it is above the maximum level of the liquid, in order to ensure the correct entry of air into the tank, and protrudes slightly from the base of the tank (2), which facilitates, as already indicated, the correct connection with the tube (9). As mentioned above, since the air inlet duct (8) is integrated into the tank (2) and joined by a concentric tube (9) secured with gaskets (10), a good seal is obtained and allows a correct pressurization of the liquid that is inside the tank (2) thus minimizing the risk of losses. This risk is also reduced by the presence of a non-return valve (11) located at the upper end of the air inlet duct (8), which prevents the liquid to be sprayed from returning through the air inlet duct (8) and causing damage to any of the electrical components located at the base of the device (3).
[0033] Pressurized air flows from the compressor (7) through the air inlet duct (8) to the main tank (2), which transmits pressure to the liquid, which can be expelled to the outside thanks to the spray head (1). The liquid is collected by the liquid outlet duct (12) as shown in Figure 11 and is released to the outside through the diffuser nozzle (13). This spray head can also comprise a manual air pump (15) that allows the entry of pressurized air without the need to use the electric compressor (7), so it is also possible to use the device of the present invention even in the absence of electrical power.
[0034] Figure 12 shows another embodiment in detail. In this embodiment, which reuses the same numerals, the concentric tube (9) is not part of the base of the device (3), but is an external piece that is coupled to the base. The concentric tube (9) joins the air inlet duct (8) with the air compressor (7) located at the base of the device (3). The concentric tube (9) is secured to the air inlet duct (8) and to the air compressor (7) by means of gaskets (10). This allows for simpler manufacturing of the parts, while maintaining good tightness and obtaining effects equal to or similar to those shown in previous figures.
[0035] The liquid to be used, as understood in the present invention, is any type of liquid that can be sprayed. The sprayer used is a foamer, which requires the greatest air demand and therefore offers the greatest advantage over a manual option. Depending on the liquid used and the diameters of the different ducts, as well as the diffuser nozzle used to generate the foam during spraying, foams of different types can be produced, which can be used in different areas. The sprayer of the present invention can also be suitable for conventional spraying of non-foaming liquids, such as water or disinfectants.
[0036] Once again, it will be understood that the description of a drawing or an example is merely explanatory and not limiting, so there are multiple variants of the present invention, included in the claims, which although not described or specified explicitly in the figures may be understood by an expert in the field and would thus form part of the present invention.
