Additionally, the invention encompasses a method for effectively displaying category descriptions and advertisements in retail environments, leveraging the integrated system.
[0004] This system operates on a cloud-based infrastructure, connected via Wi-Fi, and incorporates a data-driven media management system and content management system.
[0005] This revolutionary system simplifies established practices that previously relied on foam or plastic-based methods for indicating product categories within super and hypermarkets. Simultaneously, it opens new revenue streams for the store through the display of targeted advertisements.
[0006] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0007] The retail industry, specifically within super and hypermarkets, has long relied on conventional methods for product category signage. These methods, including foam or plastic-based signage, have limitations in offering a comprehensive and dynamic shopping experience for customers. Traditional signage does not efficiently leverage the potential for advertising and often overlooks the customer's decision-making process when choosing products and making purchase decisions.
[0008] Existing paperboard-based systems for indicating the categories in super / hyper market stores are not only cumbersome but also tedious moreover any changes in the category display are labor oriented and requires manpower and their additional time after the general operating hours. This highlights the need for an innovative solution to modernize the retail landscape, enhance customer engagement, and unlock new revenue streams.
[0009] But there are several problems that need to be addressed which include: Finding advertisement space in a retail store without disturbing the existing ambience: One of the challenges is to identify suitable locations for advertisements within a store that effectively promote products or services without negatively impacting the overall store environment. This involves ensuring that the advertisements blend seamlessly with the store's aesthetics and layout. Minimizing customer mobility and inconvenience caused by in-store advertisements: It is essential to design advertisement displays in a way that does not impede customer movement or create obstructions within the store. Customers should be able to navigate freely and comfortably while still being exposed to relevant advertisements. Reducing manual intervention for changing graphics: A common problem is the need for manual intervention when it comes to updating or changing the graphics displayed in advertisements. This can be time-consuming and labor-intensive. An ideal solution would involve minimizing or eliminating the need for manual intervention by implementing automated systems for graphic changes
