Description

[0001] Cuttable Linear Water Drain and Termination Apparatus

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The invention relates to linear drains used in wet areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies, gardens, etc., for conveying the water to be discharged to the sewerage system.

[0004] Prior Art

[0005] Areas that are constantly exposed to water are called wet area floors or wet area volumes. In wet area floors, point drains or linear shower channels are installed in the installation. Point drains and linear shower drains are also known as floor drains in the prior art.

[0006] In order to ensure easy discharge of waste water and to prevent blockages that may occur in the water drain; there are also elements such as cover, grating and hair holder on the lower body. It is extremely important to adjust the length of the water drain according to the application area, to provide insulation and to position the water drain. After the length of the water drain is adjusted according to the area of use, the sides of the gutter (pool) should be closed to ensure complete insulation.

[0007] Some of the shower ducts used in the prior art have the ability to be cut. Linear shower channels can be cut at a point determined according to the environment in which they will be used. After the cutting is made, the parts where the cutting is made are closed with structures such as gasket etc. to prevent water leakage. On the gasket in question, water accumulation and water leakage may occur. Water leakage causes insulation problems, while water accumulation causes bad odours and pests. German patent document DE102011053644 in the prior art discloses a drainage arrangement. Said drainage arrangement comprises a gutter end part. The side openings of the gutter of the drainage arrangement, which can be lengthened or shortened depending on the area of use, are completed with the gutter end piece. The side gaps are closed by means of the gutter end piece. The gutter end piece has a complex structure fixed with screws and holder. It is difficult to assemble. In addition, the gutter end piece has a flat inner surface. It cannot prevent puddle formation.

[0008] In the national patent document 2015 / 06837 coded 2015 / 06837 in the prior art, a sealing device for water drains with strainers is mentioned. The water drain in the mentioned assembly provides sealing with the help of a gasket. It does not have a termination part.

[0009] In the national utility model document 2016 / 04542 in the prior art, a drainer with a frame inclined towards the centre is mentioned. There is no termination apparatus in the mentioned arrangement.

[0010] Purpose of Invention

[0011] The object of the invention is to provide a cuttable linear water drain, the length of which can be adjusted according to the area of application.

[0012] A further object of the invention is to provide a cuttable linear water drain which does not form puddles.

[0013] A further object of the invention is to provide a cuttable linear shower channel which is practical and easy to install.

[0014] The water drain developed to achieve the mentioned purposes includes;

[0015] - At least one inner set (51) that prevents the said cover (40) from sliding left or right during possible pressures on the cover (40), and

[0016] - a termination apparatus (50) with at least one outer set (52) that ensures the fixing and alignment of the termination apparatus (50) to the upper chamber (30) that provide practical closure of the cut section in order to adjust the length of the linear water drain according to the area to be applied.

[0052] Detailed Explanation of the Invention

[0053] The invention relates to linear drains used in wet areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies, gardens, etc., for conveying the water to be discharged to the sewerage system.

[0054] The water drain of the invention comprises a siphon (10), a lower chamber (20), a upper chamber (30), a cover (40), a termination apparatus (50) and a hair holder (60). The siphon (10) ensures that the water to be discharged is conveyed to the sewer.

[0055] A lower chamber (20) is located above the siphon (10). The lower chamber (20) ensures that the water coming from the upper chamber (30) is transferred to the siphon (10). The lower chamber (20) is integrated with the insulation textile. The insulation textile ensures that the water is directed to the drain in case of possible leakage. The upper chamber (30) in the inventive drain ensures that water from the environment in which the drain is located is conveyed to the siphon (10). The upper chamber (30) has an elongated shape. The upper chamber (30) has side sets (31) on both sides. The side sets (31) ensure that the water is conveyed to the siphon (10) without overflowing to the sides.

[0056] The upper chamber (30) has a hole (33) in the centre. The hole (33) ensures the transmission of water to the lower chamber (20). In addition, a hair holder (60) is positioned in said hole (33). The hair holder (60) prevents large parts and hair that block the water drain from travelling to and blocking the siphon (10).

[0057] A guide channel (32) is provided in the lower part of the upper chamber (30). The guide channel (32) is of a shape and size to allow the guide protrusion (54) of the termination apparatus (50) to enter therein. With the guide channel (32), it is ensured that the termination apparatus (50) is positioned in reference to the upper chamber (30) without additional measurement. The guide channel (32) guides the termination apparatus (50).

[0058] The cover (40) of the inventive drain is positioned on the upper chamber (30). The cover (40) prevents the hair holder (60) and the hole (33) from being visible. Furthermore, it is ensured that the drain is flush with the environment in which it is positioned.

[0059] The upper chamber (30) and cover (40) can be cut with the help of a cutter (70) when necessary. With the cutting process, the linear water drain is brought to the appropriate dimensions and positioned in the environment where it will be used. The part where the cutting operation is performed is closed with the termination apparatus (50). The termination apparatus (50) includes inner set (51), outer set (52), inner surface (53), guide protrusion (54) and bottom surface (55). The inner sets (51) ensure that the cover (40) is centred in the upper chamber (30) and remains smooth.

[0060] The termination apparatus (50) is made of plastic material. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the termination apparatus (50) can also be produced from plastic derivative materials or metal materials. The inner sets (51) in the termination apparatus (50) have the shape of a trapezoidal prism (trapezoidal prism) expanding from the inside out. The amount of expansion referred to is "t". "t" can vary from 0.1 to 5 millimetres. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, "t" is 2 millimetres. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the length "t" may vary.

[0061] By expanding the inner sets (51) from the inside to the outside, it is ensured that the cover (40) is fixed to the termination apparatus (50) as a tight fit. The fixation prevents the said cover (40) from shifting to the right or left during possible pressure on the cover (40).

[0062] A gap (80) is provided between the lower surface of the inner set (51) and the inner surface (53). Said aperture (80) is of a shape and size that the base (34) of the upper chamber (30) can enter. When the base (34) enters the gap (80), the upper chamber (30) and the termination apparatus (50) are held together. By the adhesion, up-and-down movement of the termination apparatus (50) and / or the upper chamber (30) is prevented.

[0063] The distance (k) between the bottom surface of the inner set (51) and the inner surface (53) may vary from 0.2 millimetres to 10 millimetres. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the distance (k) between the bottom surface and the inner surface (53) is 4 millimetres. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the distance (k) between the gap (80) may vary. In different alternative embodiments of the invention, there may be no gap (80) under the inner set (51).

[0064] The termination apparatus (50) is positioned in said upper chamber (30) in such a way that the outer sets (52) are received in the upper chamber (30). With the outer sets (52), the termination apparatus (50) is fixed to the upper chamber (30). The outer sets (52) and the guide protrusion (54) located at the bottom ensure that the termination apparatus (50) is aligned and fixed to the upper chamber (30). In addition, the outer sets (52) ensure that the water is directed to the lower chamber (20) and siphon (10) in case of possible overflow. The inner surface (53) of the termination apparatus (50) has an inclined structure. Said inner surface (53) is inclined both from the outer sets (52) towards the guide protrusion (54) and from the outside inwards, in order to ensure that the water is directed towards the siphon (10). In alternative embodiments of the invention, the inner surface (53) may also have a flat surface.

[0065] The angle of inclination from the outer sets (52) to the projection is "a". The angle "a" may vary from 0.5 to 45 degrees. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the angle "a" is 20 degrees. The angle of inclination from outside to inside is " ". The angle "0" may vary from 0,1 to 10 degrees. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the angle "0" is 5 degrees. The slopes "a" and "0" ensure that the water is directed to the siphon (10) without accumulation and leakage. In this way, possible odour and insulation problems are prevented. In addition, the inner surface (53) with "0" slope provides tight-fitting assembly and ease of assembly. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the slope of the inner surface (53) of the termination apparatus (50) can be changed. In different embodiments of the invention, the inner surface (53) may be flat.
