Abstract
Description
PORTABLE NEBULIZERField of the Invention
[0001] Engineering field especially relating to the technology of portable nebulizers. Background of the Invention
[0002] Generally, a nebulizer, filled with substances such as alcohol, mineral water, moisturizer, sunscreen, or other facial or body products, dispenses its contents through pumps, ducts, and orifices. However, it can only be used to spray the same substance or product at a given time. If the user needs to spray a variety of substances and products daily, the user must carry multiple nebulizers for multiple substances.
[0003] Therefore, there is a problem that carrying numerous nebulizers is inconvenient. They are heavy and require a significant amount of storage space.
[0004] Additionally, certain spray products contain some necessary stabilizers that can cause skin irritations. Inhaling the fumes during spraying can damage the respiratory tract. This can lead to serious health problems in the long run, especially for individuals suffering from respiratory allergies.Summary of the Invention
[0005] This invention aims to solve the above problems by providing a portable nebulizer that consists of a battery, an air-operated diaphragm pump and a removable container filled with the spray substances or products. The container is equipped with a check valve and an outlet orifice that connects to an inlet orifice. The substances or products to be sprayed enter the sprayer through these orifices. When the spraying button is pressed, the air-operated diaphragm pump, powered by the battery, propels the substances or products from the container through the ducts to the sprayer, where they are then sprayed out. This design allows for the use of various substances or products without the need for multiple nebulizers, making it a practical and convenient solution.
[0006] This portable nebulizer, connected to an air-operated diaphragm pump, is designed to fit any container. Users can carry it daily with a container filled with their chosen products or substances. This makes it much lighter and less space-consuming than carrying multiple nebulizers. Moreover, it ensures that only the required products or substances are sprayed, eliminating the need for potentially harmful aerosols or chemical stabilizers. As a result, this invention provides a safer, more convenient, and more efficient solution for users’ daily needs.
[0007] An embodiment of the present invention provides a portable nebulizer that includes a peristaltic pump connected to the inlet orifice on one side and to the sprayer on the other. This pump propels the products or substances to the sprayer for dispersion. As a result, the nebulizer can effectively and flexibly spray substances with higher viscosity in predetermined quantities. This feature enhances the versatility and efficiency of the device.
[0008] In one embodiment of this invention, the nebulizer is designed with a top lid on one side, allowing the outlet orifice to be opened or closed as needed. This feature prevents unintentional spraying that could occur if the spraying button is accidentally pressed. This thoughtful design element enhances the safety and convenience of the device.
[0009] In one embodiment of this invention, the portable nebulizer is equipped with an on / off switch. This ensures that the air-operated diaphragm pump and the peristaltic pump only operate when the switch is in the ‘on’ position. As a result, accidental spraying of the products or substances is prevented, adding an extra layer of safety and control for the user.
[0010] In one embodiment of this invention, a sensor that can detect the opening and closing of the lid is located behind the lid and inside the nebulizer. This sensor is designed to automatically turn the switch on or off accordingly. Specifically, when the lid is opened, the sensor activates the switch. As a result, when the user presses the spraying button, the products or substances are immediately sprayed out. This feature allows the user to carry and use the nebulizer with convenience and speed.
[0011] In one embodiment of this invention, the nebulizer is designed with two magnets in corresponding positions, allowing the container to be attached to the nebulizer quickly and securely.
[0012] In one embodiment of this invention, the device includes a battery that is connected to a wireless charger, enabling quick and convenient charging.
[0013] In one embodiment of this invention, the nebulizer also features a back lid that can be opened to access the peristaltic pump. This pump is equipped with a motor and a removable head. The back lid can be removed to replace the peristaltic pump either at the end of its lifespan or when there is a need to spray different types of products or substances. This design eliminates the need to replace the entire nebulizer, making it a cost-effective and user-friendly solution.
[0014] The peristaltic pump, which can be made from a variety of materials such as silicone, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), fluorocarbon, fluoropolymer, ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), natural rubber, nitrile rubber, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic polymer, or thermosetting polymer, can be selected based on the compatibility with the products or substances to be sprayed. This ensures that the pump can operate for a longer period without damage.
[0015] Furthermore, the portable nebulizer is designed with wireless connectivity, allowing it to interface with other devices. This feature enables users to easily adjust the pressure and speed of the air-operated diaphragm pump and peristaltic pump as needed, providing a high degree of control and customization.Brief Descriptions of the Drawings

[0026] -3 depict a portable nebulizer 1 and a removable container 2. The nebulizer is shaped like a nearly rectangular cylinder with two curved sides and a front part featuring a groove with an L-shaped cross-section. The container 2 has an edge that fits perfectly into the groove of the nebulizer.
[0027] shows the base of the container 2 attached to the top groove of the nebulizer 1. This groove contains two first rectangular magnets 23 positioned to make contact with the second U-shaped magnet 10 on the upper surface of the nebulizer’s groove, as shown in. The first magnets 23 and the second magnet 10 securely hold the container 2 on the nebulizer, yet allow for the container 2 to be manually and easily removed.
[0028] In the same figure, container 2 is equipped with a check valve 21 and an outlet orifice 22, which connects to the inlet orifice 9. The spray products or substances are propelled from container 2 through the outlet orifice 22 and inlet orifice 9 into the nebulizer. The groove 24 in container 2 and the protruding edge 17 on the nebulizer 1 guide the user to correctly and firmly attach container 2 and the nebulizer 1 together.
[0029] In, the nebulizer 1 features a spraying button 3. The sprayer 5 discharges the spray products or substances. The sprayer 5 is equipped with a lid 6, which can open or close the outlet orifice 7. When the switch 8 is turned on, the spray products or substances are sprayed out. The nebulizer 1 is fitted with a battery 12, a wireless charger 11, an air-operated diaphragm pump 13, and a communication device 16.
[0030] The air-operated diaphragm pump 13 is equipped with a motor, an air duct 130, and a sprayer 5. The air-operated diaphragm pump 13 drives air through the air duct 130 to spray the products or substances out through the outlet orifice 7 of the sprayer 5.
[0031] In, a peristaltic pump 14 is shown with a peristaltic pump tube 141. The peristaltic pump 14 is connected to the inlet orifice 9 on one side of the nebulizer 1 and to the sprayer 5 on the other side. The peristaltic pump 14 is equipped with a motor 142, a head 143, a duct 140, and a peristaltic pump tube 141. The head 143 can be removed to replace the peristaltic pump tube 141, as shown in. The peristaltic pump 14 has two ducts 140. One duct 140 is connected to the inlet orifice 9 to receive substances driven from container 2 through the outlet orifice 22 and the peristaltic pump tube 141. The other duct 140 is a pathway for substances driven from the peristaltic pump tube 141 to be propelled by the air diaphragm pump 13 of the sprayer 5.
[0032] The nebulizer sprayer 5, made of stainless steel, plastic, steel, and aluminum, is fitted with a switch 8 at the back, as shown in. A sensor is set to detect the position of the lid 6. If the user pushes the lid 6 up to the position shown inand opens the sprayer 5 outlet orifice 7, the sensor will detect that there is no lid 6 in front and it will turn the nebulizer on. If the user presses the spraying button 3, the motor of the air-operated diaphragm pump 13 and the peristaltic pump 14 will operate to spray the products or substances out. Conversely, if the sensor detects the lid 6 in front as shown inand the nebulizer is already turned off, it will not activate the air-operated diaphragm pump 13 and the peristaltic pump 14, even if the spraying button 3 is pressed.-9 Operation of the Nebulizer: As depicted inand previously described, when container 2, filled with products or substances, is attached to nebulizer 1 using the first magnet 23 and the second magnet 10, the products or substances will move from container 2 through outlet orifice 22, inlet orifice 9, duct 140, nebulizer 1, and finally, sprayer 5. When sensor 8 detects that lid 6 has been pushed up, it will activate the nebulizer. The air-operated diaphragm pump 13 will then generate pressure to drive air through duct 130 to sprayer 5, spraying the products or substances out through outlet orifice 7.
[0033] -9 The Second Feature of this Invention: The nebulizer 1 houses a peristaltic pump 14 and a peristaltic pump tube 141. When the user pushes lid 6 up to activate the nebulizer and presses the spraying button 3, the peristaltic pump 14 and the motor of the air-operated diaphragm pump 13 will operate. The peristaltic pump tube 141 inside the peristaltic pump 14 will create suction in duct 140 to drive the products or substances from container 2 to the peristaltic pump tube 141. Subsequently, the products or substances will be driven from one side of the peristaltic pump tube 141 to duct 140, to the sprayer 5, and finally sprayed out through outlet orifice 7. To change the products or substances, the existing container 2 can be replaced with a new one.
[0034] The portable nebulizer is equipped with a communication device 16 capable of wireless communication with other devices. With a mobile application, users can adjust the pressure and speed of the air-operated diaphragm pump 13 and peristaltic pump 14.
[0035] Opposite the lid 6 of the nebulizer 1, there is a back cover 15 that can be opened to access the peristaltic pump 14. This allows for the removal of the head 143 for maintenance and replacement of the peristaltic pump tube 141. The tube can be made of various materials, including silicone, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), fluorocarbon, fluoropolymer, ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), natural rubber, nitrile rubber, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic polymer, or thermosetting polymer.
[0036] Given these features, specialists in nebulizers can modify or improve any nebulizer so that its switch, sensor, lid, or container filled with different products or substances can easily be changed throughout the day. This is subject to the scopes and intentions of the invention under the claims attached hereto.
[0037] The nebulizer is fitted with a battery and an air-operated diaphragm pump, a removable container filled with products or substances, a check valve, and an outlet orifice that connects to an inlet orifice. The spray products or substances enter the nebulizer through the outlet orifice and the inlet orifice. When the user pushes the spraying button, the air-operated diaphragm pump propels the spray products or substances from the container through the duct to the sprayer, where they are sprayed out. Users can carry one nebulizer and a few containers filled with different products or substances as required each day. Being small and light, all the items require minimal storage space.
[0038] The nebulizer is equipped with an air-operated diaphragm pump that allows for the spraying of a variety of products without restrictions, enabling users to avoid dangerous chemical stabilizers. The two types of pumps ensure precise spraying, higher efficiency, and satisfaction of the user’s needs.
[0039] The nebulizer is fitted with a peristaltic pump and a tube that connects to the inlet orifice on one side and the sprayer on the other. The peristaltic pump propels spray products or substances to the sprayer. The nebulizer can spray a variety of products or viscous substances, and the volume of the spray can be easily adjusted.
[0040] On the side of the sprayer, there is a lid that can open or close the outlet orifice as needed. This prevents the unintentional spraying of products or substances when the spraying button is pressed.
[0041] The air-operated diaphragm pump and the peristaltic pump will only operate when the nebulizer is switched on, preventing the accidental spraying of products or substances.
[0042] A sensor is fitted on the back of the lid, capable of detecting the opening and closing of the lid and the on and off status. This allows the user to conveniently, easily, and quickly press the spraying button to spray the products or substances.
[0043] There are two magnets, one on the container and the other on the nebulizer, allowing the container to be quickly and firmly attached to the nebulizer.
[0044] The nebulizer comes with a battery and a wireless charger, enabling the battery to be charged easily and quickly.
[0045] The back lid of the nebulizer can be opened to access a peristaltic pump fitted with a motor and a removable head. The back lid can be removed to replace the peristaltic pump, suitable for the spray products or substances, without the need to replace the entire nebulizer.
[0046] The peristaltic pump, made of materials such as silicone, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), fluorocarbon, fluoropolymer, ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), natural rubber, nitrile rubber, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic polymer, or thermosetting polymer, can be chosen to suit the spray products or substances. This ensures a longer service life and helps avoid damage.
[0047] Materials such as stainless steel, plastic, steel, and aluminum can be chosen for the nebulizer sprayer. This particular sprayer is made of stainless steel.
[0048] The nebulizer is equipped with a communication device capable of wireless communication with other devices. This allows the user to operate the nebulizer and adjust the pressure and speed of the air-operated diaphragm pump and peristaltic pump more conveniently as intended.
