Abstract
Description
[0001] MAGAZINE WITH MAGAZINE ADAPTER FOR A FIREARM, ESPECIALLY AN AIRSOFT FIREARM
[0002] FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The invention relates to a device for a firearm, in particular an airsoft firearm, an adapter for use in a device according to the invention and a firearm, in particular an airsoft firearm, with a device according to the invention.
[0004] STATE OF THE ART
[0005] The device for a firearm is used to connect ammunition containers to a firearm. The ammunition container is often a functional magazine compatible with a first firearm. However, there is a desire to use the ammunition container with other firearms for which the ammunition container is not designed. Therefore, the ammunition container cannot be used with these firearms.
[0006] To connect the ammunition container to any firearm, it is connected to the firearm via an adapter. The device comprises an ammunition container and an adapter. The adapter is connected to the ammunition container. The ammunition container includes a cavity for storing ammunition. The cavity includes a discharge opening for ammunition.
[0007] To ensure that the ammunition remains in the cavity of the ammunition container, the ammunition container has a blocking element. The blocking element is located at the discharge opening and can close the discharge opening for ammunition.
[0008] The adapter is connected to the ammunition container, whereby the adapter adapts the cross-section of the ammunition container to the firearm to be connected. This connects the ammunition container to the firearm via the adapter. When the device is connected to the firearm, the blocking element is unlocked by the firearm, allowing ammunition to enter the firearm. However, this has the problem that it is not particularly practical because the ammunition container is not directly connected to the firearm. In addition, the adapter must be flat so that the blocking element can still be unlocked by the firearm. For this purpose, the adapter must be complexly constructed and is expensive.
[0009] However, a common problem is that the position of the ammunition container's discharge port is incompatible with the firearm. In this case, the adapter includes an ammunition channel for guiding ammunition, with the ammunition channel comprising an ammunition inlet and an ammunition discharge port. The inlet is connected to the discharge port. The position of the adapter's discharge port is adapted to the firearm to allow the ammunition to be discharged into the firearm.
[0010] However, this design has the problem that the adapter is located between the firearm and the ammunition container. Therefore, the blocking element cannot be unlocked by the weapon. Consequently, the adapter must unlock the blocking element. Once the adapter is connected to the ammunition container, the ammunition can fall out of the ammunition container. To prevent this, the adapter must remain in the firearm and the ammunition container must be removed from the adapter. This complicates use and requires a complex design, as the adapter must hold the ammunition container detachably. In addition, after the ammunition container is detached from the adapter, ammunition remains in the adapter. The ammunition remaining in the adapter is either lost or can even hinder the ammunition container from being reinserted into the adapter.
[0011] Furthermore, the ammunition containers are expensive because they are fully functional magazines.
[0012] Thus, the known devices are expensive, require complex construction, and are difficult to use. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0013] Based on this prior art, the object of the invention is to propose a cost-effective and sustainable device that is easy to use and at the same time has a simple and stable construction.
[0014] The object is achieved according to a first aspect of the invention by a device for a firearm, in particular an airsoft firearm, wherein the device comprises an ammunition container and an adapter, wherein the adapter is connected to the ammunition container, wherein the ammunition container comprises a cavity for storing ammunition, in particular BB balls, wherein the cavity comprises a dispensing opening for ammunition, wherein the adapter comprises an ammunition channel for guiding ammunition, wherein the ammunition channel comprises an inlet opening for ammunition and an dispensing opening for ammunition, wherein the inlet opening is connected to the dispensing opening, wherein the adapter comprises a blocking element, wherein the blocking element is arranged at the dispensing opening of the ammunition channel, and wherein the blocking element can close the dispensing opening for ammunition.
[0015] In this way, the adapter and ammunition container form a magazine, with the ammunition only being blocked at the ejection opening of the ammunition channel. This allows the entire device to be easily used and installed as a single unit in a firearm. Because the adapter is a fully integrated part of the device, the device can be constructed simply and sturdily. Furthermore, the device can be manufactured cost-effectively. In particular, the magazine container is less expensive and can be replaced inexpensively, making the device more sustainable.
[0016] The airsoft firearm can be a firearm suitable for use with non-explosive ammunition. In particular, the airsoft firearm can be a weapon based on spring pressure, gas, or electromechanically operated compressed air systems to fire round balls made of various materials. The round balls can be, in particular, plastic balls with a diameter of 4 mm to 8 mm. The airsoft firearm can be a firearm with a muzzle energy of 0.03 joules to 7.5 joules. The airsoft firearm can be a firearm that can accelerate BB balls with a mass of 0.12 g - 0.48 g to a muzzle velocity of more than 30 m / s, preferably more than 80 m / s. The airsoft firearm can be a handheld firearm. However, the airsoft firearm can also be a non-handheld firearm that is permanently mounted on another object. The ammunition container can be a replaceable or built-in device that can hold ammunition for a firearm and supply it to the firearm as needed. In particular, such an ammunition container can be designed to hold spherical ammunition, preferably BB ammunition. Preferably, the ammunition container is not suitable for holding ammunition containing explosives.
[0017] If the ammunition container is not suitable for explosive ammunition, it can be designed particularly simply. In particular, it can be designed in such a way that it is not subject to any or less stringent firearms regulations.
[0018] The adapter can establish the connection, particularly a mechanical one, between the firearm and the ammunition container. The adapter can be arranged between the ammunition container and the firearm. The adapter can have one side for connecting to the ammunition container and one side, particularly the opposite side, for connecting to the firearm.
[0019] The adapter is connected to the ammunition container. For this purpose, the surfaces of the adapter and the ammunition container can be in contact with each other. The adapter and the ammunition container can be detachably connected.
[0020] The ammunition container comprises a cavity for storing ammunition, particularly BB pellets. The cavity can be arranged inside the ammunition container except for the discharge opening. The cavity can be suitable for accommodating at least a portion of the ammunition required for the airsoft firearm. Accommodating ammunition here can mean the spatial confinement of the ammunition. Accommodating ammunition can also mean positioning the ammunition for feeding into a part of the airsoft firearm where the ammunition is accelerated.
[0021] The cavity includes a discharge opening for ammunition. The discharge opening may have a diameter suitable for the passage of ammunition. For example, the discharge opening may have a diameter that corresponds to the diameter of the ammunition to be used, in particular the BB pellets to be used.
[0022] The adapter includes an ammunition channel for guiding ammunition. The ammunition channel can have a diameter that can correspond to the diameter of the ammunition to be used, in particular the BB bullets to be used. The ammunition channel can have a diameter that can correspond to the diameter of the discharge opening. The length of the ammunition channel can be greater than the diameter of the ammunition channel. The ammunition channel can extend from one side of the adapter to an opposite side of the adapter. The ammunition channel can run straight or transversely through the adapter. If the adapter can run transversely through the adapter, the adapter can adapt the position of the discharge opening to any firearm.
[0023] The ammunition channel comprises an inlet opening for ammunition and an outlet opening for ammunition. The inlet opening and the outlet opening can have a diameter that can correspond to the diameter of the ammunition to be used, in particular the BB bullets to be used. The inlet opening and the outlet opening can have a diameter that can correspond to the diameter of the outlet opening. The inlet opening and the outlet opening can be the boundary of the ammunition channel. The inlet opening and the outlet opening can be arranged on opposite sides of the adapter.
[0024] The inlet opening is connected to the discharge opening. The inlet opening can be configured to receive ammunition from the discharge opening. The inlet opening and the discharge opening can be connected such that ammunition can be transported from the cavity via the discharge opening into the ammunition channel via the inlet opening.
[0025] The adapter comprises a blocking element. The blocking element can be movable, in particular along an axis, within the adapter. The blocking element is arranged at the dispensing opening of the ammunition channel and can close the dispensing opening for ammunition. The blocking element can be designed such that it can prevent the dispensing of ammunition from the device. The blocking element can be designed such that it can withstand forces that would force the ammunition out. The blocking element can be arranged on the side of the adapter facing away from the ammunition container.
[0026] The blocking element can be connected to a spring on one side, wherein in particular the spring can be connected to the adapter, and wherein in particular the spring can push the blocking element towards the dispensing opening. In this way, the blocking element can close the dispensing opening particularly reliably without external influence. To remove ammunition, the blocking element can be pushed against the spring force so that the dispensing opening can be free. The spring can be designed such that when the spring is relaxed, the blocking element is at least partially arranged over the dispensing opening. The ammunition container can not have a blocking element. In this way, the ammunition container can be of particularly simple construction and cost-effective, so that the device can be simple to construct and cost-effective. Furthermore, the ammunition container can be easily replaced, so that the device can be sustainable.
[0027] The device may include or be made of plastic. For example, the adapter and the ammunition container may be made of or include plastic.
[0028] According to one embodiment, the blocking element may have a slope.
[0029] This allows ammunition to be easily inserted into the device by pushing the ammunition onto the ramp, allowing the blocking element to release the dispensing opening. This makes the device particularly easy to use. Furthermore, the ramp and thus the device can be constructed simply and sturdily, while also being cost-effective to manufacture.
[0030] The bevel can be arranged on the side of the blocking element that is opposite the dispensing opening. The bevel can decrease toward the edge of the blocking element. In other words, the blocking element can become thinner toward the edge due to the bevel. In particular, the bevel can be arranged on the side of the blocking element that is opposite the side connected to the spring.
[0031] According to one embodiment, the ammunition container can comprise a spring element, in particular a spiral spring, wherein the spring element can be arranged in the cavity, wherein the spring element can be configured to press the ammunition from the cavity towards the discharge opening, wherein in particular the ammunition container can comprise a drive element, wherein in particular the drive element can be attached to an end of the spring element facing the ammunition.
[0032] In this way, the device can be particularly easy to use, since, for example, no manual action is required to push out the ammunition. Furthermore, the device according to the exemplary embodiment can be constructed in a particularly cost-effective, simple, and stable manner.
[0033] If the device also includes a propellant element in the ammunition container, which can be attached to an end of the spring element facing the ammunition, use can be further simplified, as the ammunition cannot become caught in the spring. Rather, the propellant element can ensure that the device functions properly and is therefore easy to use.
[0034] The spring element can be elastically deformable to store energy. The spring element can be arranged in the cavity. For example, the cavity can be a bullet channel, wherein the bullet channel can have a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the ammunition. The bullet channel can, in particular, be spiral-shaped. The spring element can be arranged in the cavity, in particular in the bullet channel. The spring element can be configured to press the ammunition from the cavity toward the discharge opening. The spring element can, in particular, be attached to one end of the bullet channel.
[0035] The propellant element can close the end of the spring element, preventing bullets from entering the spring element. The propellant element can be a plug. The diameter of the propellant element can be smaller, equal to, or larger than the diameter of the ammunition.
[0036] According to one embodiment, the end of the spring element facing the ammunition, in particular the drive element, can be at least partially surrounded by the adapter in the relaxed state of the spring.
[0037] This ensures that the ammunition can be completely transferred from the device to the firearm. This facilitates the device's use and ensures its longevity.
[0038] The relaxed state of the spring can be the state in which no force can act on the spring element. In this case, in the relaxed state of the spring, at least a portion of the spring, in particular a portion of the driving element, can be within the boundaries of the adapter. Thus, the adapter can at least partially surround the end of the spring element facing the ammunition, in particular the driving element, in the relaxed state of the spring. By partially surrounding it, a portion of the end of the spring element facing the ammunition, in particular the driving element, can lie within the space formed by the surfaces of the adapter, whereby openings in the adapter can be neglected in this case.
[0039] According to one embodiment, the ammunition container and the adapter can be connected in a form-fitting manner. This allows the device to be constructed in a particularly simple, cost-effective, and stable manner. Furthermore, the form-fitting connection can facilitate the use of the device, as no additional parts such as screws are required.
[0040] The positive connection can be a fixed connection between the adapter and the ammunition container, in which their shapes can be coordinated in such a way that they can be held firmly together without additional aids. In particular, the positive connection can be a connection that is free of movable joining components, such as screws or bolts. The positive connection can be a connection that is not force-locked. The positive connection can be a connection in which one connection partner can prevent the movement of the other in at least one direction. A positive connection can be a connection between the adapter and the ammunition container in which the adapter or the ammunition container can prevent the movement of the ammunition container or the adapter along the direction necessary for the ammunition container and the adapter to be released from one another.Disconnecting the two connecting partners may result in the ammunition container and the adapter being moved so far apart that transporting ammunition from the cavity into the ammunition channel may be impossible.
[0041] The positive connection can be detachable. For example, the positive connection can be detachable without causing any damage. This allows the device to be disassembled and reassembled. This increases the sustainability and longevity of the device.
[0042] According to one embodiment, the positive connection can be achieved by a displacement along an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the ammunition container.
[0043] This makes the device very easy to use, as the ammunition container can be held securely along its longitudinal axis. Furthermore, such a positive connection along an axis shorter than the longitudinal axis can be constructed particularly easily and cost-effectively.
[0044] The longitudinal axis of the ammunition container can be the axis along the longest extent of the ammunition container. In a curved ammunition container, the longitudinal axis can be curved. The longitudinal axis can run through two opposite sides of the ammunition container. In a curved ammunition container, the opposite sides can be tilted relative to each other and connected by an arcuate side. The longitudinal axis can be the central axis of the ammunition container.
[0045] The displacement can occur along an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the ammunition container. This allows the ammunition container to be easily held in its longest direction. The transverse axis can be vertical, in particular. The transverse axis can be an angle of 70° to 110°, preferably of 80° to 90°, particularly preferably of 85° to 95°.
[0046] According to one embodiment, the adapter can comprise at least one fastening element, wherein the ammunition container can comprise at least one receiving element for receiving the at least one fastening element, wherein the adapter can be positively connected to the ammunition container by means of the at least one fastening element and the at least one receiving element.
[0047] This makes the positive connection particularly easy to create, making the device easy to use. Furthermore, the device can be constructed particularly simply, stably, and cost-effectively.
[0048] The at least one fastening element can be a protruding part of the adapter. The at least one fastening element can be formed monolithically with the adapter. The at least one fastening element can be arranged on the side of the adapter facing the ammunition container. The at least one fastening element can be designed as a hook. The at least one fastening element can be spherical.
[0049] The at least one receiving element can be a recess or an opening. The at least one receiving element can be adapted to the shape of the at least one fastening element. The at least one receiving element can be a recess, wherein the at least one receiving element does not connect both sides of the ammunition container. The at least one receiving element can be open on one side of the ammunition container and closed on the opposite side. In this way, the at least one fastening element can only be inserted into the at least one receiving element from one side, wherein at the same time the at least one fastening element can only be inserted as far as the closed side. In this way, the use of the device can be facilitated.
[0050] The at least one receiving element can be designed to receive the at least one fastening element, so that the at least one fastening element can be arranged in the receiving element when the adapter is positively connected to the ammunition container.
[0051] The adapter can comprise at least two fastening elements, wherein the at least two fastening elements can be arranged on opposite sides of the adapter. The ammunition container can comprise at least two receiving elements, wherein the at least two receiving elements can be arranged on opposite sides of the ammunition container. In this way, the positive connection and thus the device can be particularly stable, thus improving usability.
[0052] According to one embodiment, the adapter may consist of at least two parts.
[0053] In this way, the assembly of the device can be made easier, thus improving its use.
[0054] The two parts of the adapter can be mirror-symmetrical. Alternatively, the two parts of the adapter can be different. For example, the first of the two parts can comprise more stops for the blocking element than the second of the two parts. In particular, the first of the two parts can comprise five stops for the blocking element, and the second of the two parts can comprise one stop for the blocking element. This facilitates assembly and thus use. A stop can be a surface that prevents or limits the movement of the blocking element in one direction.
[0055] According to one embodiment, the two parts of the adapter can be positively connected to each other.
[0056] This makes the device particularly easy to use and the device can be particularly simple, stable and cost-effective since no additional means, such as screws, are required.
[0057] The two parts of the adapter may also have a recess for a holding means, such as a square nut and a screw, wherein the holding means can hold the two parts of the adapter together.
[0058] For example, the first part of the two parts can comprise at least one fastening means, wherein the second part of the two parts can comprise at least one receiving means for receiving the at least one fastening means, wherein the first part of the two parts can be positively connected to the second part of the two parts by means of the at least one fastening means and the at least one receiving means.
[0059] According to one embodiment, the adapter may be flush with the ammunition container.
[0060] In this way, the device can be particularly stable and therefore easy to use.
[0061] The surfaces of the adapter can merge flush with the surfaces of the ammunition container, thus without an edge. Thus, the adapter and the ammunition container can form a uniform surface. In particular, the cross-section of the adapter can be the same as the cross-section of the ammunition container along the longitudinal axis of the ammunition container. The cross-section of the adapter and the cross-section of the ammunition container can, in particular, be perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
[0062] According to one embodiment, the ammunition container can only be connected to the firearm via the adapter.
[0063] In this way, the ammunition container can be designed particularly simply, making the device cost-effective and easy to use.
[0064] According to one embodiment, the device may comprise a casing, wherein the casing may at least partially surround the ammunition container and the adapter.
[0065] In this way, the stability and thus the use of the device can be increased in a simple and cost-effective manner.
[0066] The sleeve can cover the outer sides of the ammunition container and the adapter. In particular, the sleeve can surround all sides of the ammunition container and the adapter except the side of the adapter where the ejection opening is located.
[0067] According to one embodiment, the adapter may have a recess, wherein a part of the ammunition container may be arranged in the recess.
[0068] In this way, the cavity in the ammunition container can be enlarged, thus improving the use of the device.
[0069] The recess may be a portion of the adapter that lies within the space formed by the adapter's outer surfaces. For example, a portion of the ammunition container may extend into the space formed by the adapter's outer surfaces. The recess may, for example, be arcuate. This can ensure the stability of the device while simultaneously improving its usability.
[0070] The object is achieved according to a second aspect of the invention by an adapter for use in a device according to the invention.
[0071] In this way, the adapter can form a magazine together with the ammunition container. Such an adapter can be easy to use.
[0072] The object is achieved according to a fourth aspect of the invention by a system comprising a device according to the invention, wherein the device comprises a further adapter, wherein the adapter and the further adapter are designed for connection to different weapons.
[0073] This allows the system to connect the same ammunition container to different weapons using the adapter and the additional adapter. This makes the system particularly sustainable and cost-effective. Furthermore, the device and the additional adapter can be constructed simply and stably.
[0074] The adapter and the additional adapter can be designed for connection to different weapons by varying the extension of the adapter and the additional adapter along the longitudinal axis. Thus, the length of the ammunition channel can vary. Alternatively or additionally, the cross-section and / or position of the dispensing opening can vary. The ammunition container can be connectable to the adapter and the additional adapter.
[0075] The further adapter can have all of the aforementioned features of the adapter. For example, the further adapter can comprise a further ammunition channel for guiding ammunition, wherein the further ammunition channel can comprise a further inlet opening for ammunition and a further outlet opening for ammunition. The further adapter can comprise a further blocking element, wherein the further blocking element can be arranged at the further outlet opening of the further ammunition channel, and wherein the further blocking element can close the further outlet opening for ammunition.
[0076] According to a fourth aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by a firearm, in particular an airsoft firearm, with a device according to the invention. In this way, the adapter forms a magazine with the ammunition container, wherein the ammunition is only obstructed at the dispensing opening of the ammunition channel. Thus, the entire device and thus also the firearm can be easily used and incorporated into a firearm as a unit. Since the adapter is a fully-fledged part of the device, the device and thus also the firearm can be constructed simply and sturdily. Furthermore, the device and thus also the firearm can be manufactured cost-effectively. In particular, the magazine container is less expensive and can be replaced cost-effectively, making the device and thus also the firearm more sustainable.
[0077] The object is achieved according to a fifth aspect of the invention by the use of a device according to the invention in a firearm, in particular an airsoft firearm.
[0078] When used, the adapter forms a magazine with the ammunition container, with the ammunition only being blocked at the ejection opening of the ammunition channel. This offers the advantage that the entire device is easy to use and can be installed as a single unit in a firearm. Because the adapter is a fully integrated part of the device, its use is simple and stable. Furthermore, the device, and therefore its use, can be cost-effective. In particular, the magazine container is less expensive and can be replaced inexpensively, making the device more sustainable.
