Abstract

Disclosed is a method by which an electronic device provides customer benefit information, comprising the steps of: receiving, from a user, an input related to an item search word; determining whether the user possesses a coupon related to an item purchase benefit; if the user possesses the coupon, determining whether there is a first item, which can be purchased at a predefined item price when the coupon is applied, among items corresponding to the item search word; and, if there is the first item among the items corresponding to the item search word, providing, to a user terminal, an item search result page including a first widget related to the first item.

Description

Method and device for providing customer benefit information

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a method and device for providing customer benefit information.

[0002] With the advancement of electronic technology, users of e-commerce platforms who wish to purchase items can do so online without having to visit a shopping mall or market in person, and items purchased online are delivered to the delivery address requested by the user.

[0003] Looking at the e-commerce process, users can browse items for sale through a computer or other Internet-connected terminal, review detailed information about items of interest, and then decide whether to purchase them.

[0004] As the channels for purchasing items have diversified, the number of long-term non-purchasing users (lapse users) who make a purchase on a specific e-commerce platform and then do not use the platform for a while has been increasing. Accordingly, various attempts are being made to provide various customer benefit information to these long-term non-purchasing users, thereby increasing the item sales conversion rate from the e-commerce platform's perspective and allowing long-term non-purchasing users to more intuitively understand the customer benefit information that can be provided.
