[0143] In some cases, the parameter includes an association period. In some embodiments, the association period may be a period in which SSB indexes are mapped to PRACH occasions. In some embodiments, the period may be the smallest integer number in the set determined by PRACH configuration period. Some examples of the association period are illustrated in the following table.

[0144] In some cases, the parameter includes an association pattern period. In some embodiments, the association pattern period may be a period including one or more association periods, the mapping of SSB indexes to PRACH occasions (i.e., SSB-PRACH occasions mapping) may repeat association pattern period by association pattern period.

[0145] An example for the SSB to PRACH occasions mapping is provided (see FIG. 1) . In this case, one rectangle represents one PRACH resource in FIG. 1. In this case, the SSBs in the rectangle means the SSBs with SSB indexes mapped to PRACH resources in FIG. 1. In this case, the following applies:

[0146] ssb-perRACH-Occasion / ssb-perRACH-OccasionAndCB-PreamblesPerSSB, N = 1;

[0147] 6 SSB transmitting;

[0148] association period = 4 × PRACH configuration period;

[0149] association pattern period = 2 × association period.

[0150] In some embodiments, the SSB to PRACH occasion mapping includes that the SSB#0 maps to the first RO, the SSB#1 maps to the second RO, and so on. In the association period, when all SSBs are mapped to ROs based on the mapping ratio, there is one mapping cycle. In some embodiments, ROs may be dropped when the last two ROs are not enough for a mapping cycle. In some embodiments, the dropped RO may be called the invalid RO. The invalid RO is not used for the SSB mapping, and the gNodeB (gNB) may skip detecting the invalid RO.

[0180] In some embodiments, the adaptation information includes a first information for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping.

[0181] In some embodiments, the first information indicates the ending indication of the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping within a period. In some cases, the period is an association period. In some cases, the period is an association pattern period.

[0182] In some cases, the ending indication is / comprises a number of SSB-PRACH occasion mapping cycles, where an SSB-PRACH occasion mapping cycle determines transmitted SSBs map  to corresponding PRACH occasion for one time based on one or more SSB-PRACH occasion mapping ratio. For example, there are 4 SSBs transmitted and there are 8 ROs in PRACH configuration in one PRACH configuration period. Given the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping ratio is 1, i.e., the 1 SSB maps to 1 RO, for the first 4 ROs, the correspondence is RO#0 for SSB#0, RO#1 for SSB#1, RO#2 for SSB#2, and RO#3 for SSB#3. To this regard, the one SSB-PRACH mapping cycles is that all transmitted SSBs map to PRACH occasions based on the SSB-PRACH mapping ratio one time.

[0183] In some cases, the ending indication is / comprises an enabling flag for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping. As an alternative, a bit of the enabling flag indicates wherein there is a mapping between SSBs and PRACH occasions.

[0184] For example, FIG. 2 shows a schematic diagram of an SSB-PRACH occasion mapping according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In one example, the PRACH period is equal to the association period, with M (M is an integer) SSB to PRACH occasion mapping cycles. In this case, one rectangle represents one PRACH resource. In this case, the SSBs in the rectangle means the SSBs with SSB indexes mapped to PRACH resources. In the association period, there are 2 SSBs to PRACH mapping cycles. The ending indication (e.g., Stop indication in FIG. 2) indicates value ‘1’ in binary or in integer, which means one cycle may be needed in the association period, so that the last six PRACH occasions can be saved to reduce energy consumption. In another example, the ending indication (e.g., Stop indication in FIG. 2) indicates bit ‘1’ , which means there is not a mapping between SSBs and last six PRACH occasions, so that the last six PRACH occasions can be saved to reduce energy consumption.

[0185] In some embodiments, the first information is / comprises a valid period for SSB-PRACH occasion mapping. In some cases, the SSBs are mapped to the PRACH occasions in the valid period.

[0186] In some cases, the valid period includes a number of association periods. The valid period indicates the validity of association periods in an association pattern period. In this case, there are some PRACH occasions in the association periods in the valid period (e.g., a valid association period) in an association pattern period mapping to SSB based on the SSB-PRACH mapping ratio. While there is no PRACH occasion in the association periods out of valid period (e.g., an invalid association period) in an association pattern period mapping to SSBs (invalid  PRACH occasions) .

[0187] For example, FIG. 3A shows a schematic diagram of an SSB-PRACH occasion mapping according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In this case, one rectangle represents one PRACH resource. In this case, the SSBs in the rectangle means the SSBs with SSB indexes mapped to PRACH resources. In this case, the association pattern period comprises two association periods. The first information is valid period, including the first association period in the association pattern period, while the second association period is outside of the valid period. In this manner, the PRACH occasions in the second association period are invalid PRACH occasions, so that the gNB can shut down these PRACH occasions to save energy.

[0188] In some embodiments, the valid period comprises a time duration.

[0189] In some embodiments, the valid period comprises a starting position of the valid period. In some cases, the starting position is based on the predefined association patter period. In one example, the starting position is the beginning radio frame of the association pattern period. In another example, the starting position is the beginning radio frame of the first association period. In some cases, the starting position is based on the predefined PRACH resources. In some cases, the starting position is based on the predefined radio frame, subframe, slot, or symbol. In some cases, the starting position is based on the predefined millisecond or second.

[0190] In some embodiments, the valid period comprises a length information of the valid period. In some cases, the length information provides / comprises a number of radio frames, subframe, slots, symbols. In some cases, the length information is determined by value in millisecond or second.

[0191] In some embodiments, a valid period is an association period.

[0192] In some cases, the valid period is within an association period. In some cases, the valid period indicates the validity PRACH occasions in one association period. For example, the PRACH resources in the valid period in the association period are mapped to SSBs (i.e., valid PRACH occasions) , while the PRACH resources outside of the valid period in the association period are not mapped to SSBs (i.e., invalid PRACH occasions) . In FIG. 3B, the valid period is in the second association period. In this case, one rectangle represents one PRACH resource. In this case, the SSBs in the rectangle means the SSBs with SSB indexes mapped to PRACH resources. As a result, the first six PRACH occasions are mapped with SSBs, while the last six PRACH occasions outside  of the valid period are not mapped with SSBs. (i.e., invalid PRACH occasion) .

[0193] In some embodiments, the first information is / comprises an invalid period for SSB-PRACH occasion mapping. In some cases, the SSBs are not mapped to the PRACH occasions in the invalid period.

[0194] In some cases, the invalid period includes a number of association periods. The invalid period indicates the validity of association periods in an association pattern period. In this case, there is no PRACH occasion in the association periods in the invalid period (e.g., invalid association period) in an association pattern period mapping to SSB based on the SSB-PRACH mapping ratio (e.g., invalid PRACH occasions) . While there are PRACH occasions in the association periods out of the invalid period (e.g., a valid association period) in an association pattern period mapping to SSBs.

[0195] For example, FIG. 3C shows a schematic diagram of an SSB-PRACH occasion mapping according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In this case, one rectangle represents one PRACH resource. In this case, the SSBs in the rectangle means the SSBs with SSB indexes mapped to PRACH resources. In this case, the association pattern period comprises two association periods. The first information is invalid period, including the second association period in the association pattern period, while the first association period is outside of the invalid period. In this manner, the PRACH occasions in the second association period are invalid ROs, so that the gNB can shut down these ROs to save energy.

[0196] In some embodiments, the invalid period comprises a time duration.

[0197] In some embodiments, the invalid period comprises a starting position of the invalid period.

[0198] In some embodiments, the invalid period comprises a length information of the invalid period. In some cases, the length information provides / comprises a number of radio frames, subframe, slots, symbols. In some cases, the length information is determined by value in  millisecond or second.

[0199] In some embodiments, the invalid period is an association period.

[0200] In some cases, the invalid period is within an association period. In some cases, the invalid period indicates the validity PRACH occasions in one association period. For example, the PRACH resources in the invalid period in the association period are not mapped to SSBs (i.e., invalid PRACH occasion) , while the PRACH resources outside of the invalid period in the association period are mapped to SSBs (i.e., valid PRACH occasions) . In FIG. 3D, the invalid period is in the second association period. In this case, one rectangle represents one PRACH resource. In this case, the SSBs in the rectangle means the SSBs with SSB indexes mapped to PRACH resources. As a result, the first six PRACH occasions are mapped with SSBs, while the last six PRACH occasions in the invalid period are not mapped with SSBs. (i.e., invalid PRACH occasion) .

[0201] In some embodiments, the first information is / comprises the indication indicating at least one or more valid periods or one or more invalid periods.

[0202] In some cases, the indication indicating one or more valid period or one or more valid period is / comprises a bitmap, where each bit of the bitmap indicates one or more association periods in one association pattern period are valid period or invalid period. In one example, bit ‘1’ indicates the association period is valid period, while bit ‘0’ indicates the association period is invalid period. In another example, bit ‘0’ indicates the association period is valid period, while bit ‘1’ indicates the association period is invalid period.

[0203] For example, in FIG. 3E, there are two association periods in the association pattern period. In this case, one rectangle represents one PRACH resource. In this case, the SSBs in the rectangle means the SSBs with SSB indexes mapped to PRACH resources. A 2-bit bitmap indicates the two association periods in the association pattern period, where the bitmap indicates ‘10’ . It means the first association period is valid, implying there are some PRACH occasions mapped to SSBs. While the second association period is invalid, implying there is no PRACH occasion mapped to SSBs (i.e., there are all invalid PRACH occasions in the second association period. ) .

[0204] In some embodiments, adaptation information includes a second information for SSB-PRACH occasion mapping ratios.

[0205] In some embodiments, the second information is used to determine the mapping ratio of the SSB and RO mapping (i.e., SSB-PRACH occasion mapping ratio) for a plurality of SSBs.

[0206] In some embodiments, the second information is / comprises a plurality of SSB-PRACH occasion mapping ratios. In one example, FIG. 4 shows a schematic diagram of an SSB-PRACH occasion mapping according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In this case, one rectangle represents one PRACH resource. In this case, the SSBs in the rectangle means the SSBs with SSB indexes mapped to PRACH resources. In some embodiments, the parameter associated to the mapping ratio of the SSBs is determined by the higher layer parameter. As illustrated in FIG. 4, for the non-uniform mapping, SSB0 to SSB3 have the mapping ratio of 4, and SSB4 and SSB5 have the mapping ratio of 1.

[0207] In some embodiments, the second information is / comprises a bitmap of ratios. In some embodiments, each bit of the bitmap corresponds to a ratio for the SSB and RO mapping. In some embodiments, the second information may be a sequence of ratios. In one example, FIG. 5 shows a schematic diagram of an SSB-PRACH occasion mapping according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the bitmap for ratio switching to illustrate the correspondence of transmitted SSB and the ratio.

[0208] In some embodiments, there are two ratios for the SSBs. One is the first ratio (e.g., N=1) and the other is the second ratio (e.g., N=4) . According to a parameter (e.g., ssb-PositionInBurst) , a corresponding bitmap with a length being the same as the parameter (e.g., ssb-PositionInBurst) may be used to indicate the mapping ratios.

[0209] In some embodiments, the bitmap has the same length of the parameter (e.g., ssb-PositionInBurst) , and each bit of the bitmap corresponds to the corresponding SSB in the same position in the parameter (e.g., ssb-PositionInBurst) . For example, see FIG. 5, bit ‘1’ indicates the SSB using the ratio1 for SSB-RO mapping, while bit ‘0’ indicates the SSB using the ratio2 for SSB-RO mapping. In this example, there are two ratios for 4 transmitted SSBs. If the bit of the parameter (e.g., ssb-PositionInBurst) indicates ‘1’ , and the corresponding bit in the bitmap is ‘0’ , the ratio for the SSB-RO mapping for SSB0 and SSB2 is the baseline ratio (e.g., N = 1) . In some embodiments, if the bit of parameter (e.g., ssb-PositionInBurst) indicates ‘1’ and the corresponding bit in the bitmap is ‘1’ , the ratio for the SSB-RO mapping for SSB1 and SSB3 is the confining ratio, i.e., N = 4.

[0210] In some embodiments, the second information is / comprises a sequence for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping ratios.

[0211] In some embodiments, the sequence of the ratios determines the correspondence of the SSBs and the ratios. In some embodiments, the sequence includes one or more indexes for the ratios, and the one or more ratio indexes in the sequence correspond to the SSBs (e.g., in the ascending order) .

[0212] FIGs. 6A and 6B show schematic diagrams of the SSB-RO mapping according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the ratio is indexed by the higher layer parameter as in the following table.

[0213] For example, see FIG. 6A, SSB0 has an SSB-RO mapping ratio with index 0 (i.e., Ratio 1 (e.g., N = 1) ) , SSB1 has an SSB-RO mapping ratio with index 1 (i.e., Ratio 2 (e.g., N = 2) ) , and SSB3 has an SSB-RO mapping ratio with index 3 (i.e., Ratio 4 (e.g., N = 4) ) .

[0214] In another example, see FIG. 6B, the sequence may include one or more ratios (or codepoints of the ratio) in increasing order of the indexes of the SSBs. In some embodiments, the indexes of SSB is determined by a parameter (e.g., ssb-PositionInBurst) . In this example, SSB0 has an SSB-RO mapping ratio with Ratio 1 (e.g., N = 1) , SSB1 has an SSB-RO mapping ratio with Ratio 2 (e.g., N = 2) , and SSB3 has an SSB-RO mapping ratio with Ratio 4 (e.g., N = 4) .

[0215] In some embodiments, the second information is / comprises an index for the predefined ratio to the SSB pattern. In some embodiments, the ratio to SSB pattern includes the correspondence of ratios and transmitted SSBs.

[0216] In some embodiments, indexes for the predefined ratios to SSB patterns may be used. An example of the correspondence of transmitted SSBs and the ratios is shown in the following table.

[0217] In this example, the index with a value ‘0’ indicates the transmitted SSBs includes SSB0, SSB1 and SSB3, the SSB0 uses Ratio1 for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping, the SSB1 uses Ratio2 for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping and the SSB3 uses Ratio4 for SSB-PRACH occasion mapping.

[0218] The index with a value ‘1’ indicates the transmitted SSBs includes SSB0, SSB1, SSB2, and SSB3, the SSB0 uses Ratio1 for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping, the SSB1 uses Ratio2 for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping, the SSB2 uses Ratio1 for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping, and the SSB3 uses Ratio2 for SSB-PRACH occasion mapping.

[0219] In some embodiments, the second information comprises a group identifier and a corresponding ratio for the group. In some embodiments, the group is for the SSBs. In some embodiments, the SSBs with the same mapping ratio are in the same group.

[0220] In some embodiments, the Group id and a corresponding ratio for the group determines the correspondence of SSBs and the corresponding ratio. An example is shown below.

[0221] For example, Group id = 0, Ratio = 4, and ssbindex = ‘1100’ , indicates that the SSB0 and the SSB1 use ratio = 4 for the SSB-PRACH occasion mapping.

[0222] With the embodiments described above, different mapping ratios may be used for different SSB RO mapping.

[0223] For example, there is ratio1 (i.e., ssb-perRACH-Occasion = 4) for the SSB0 to SSB3 mapping to a corresponding PRACH occasion, which means four SSBs corresponds to one PRACH occasion. There is ratio2 (i.e., ssb-perRACH-Occasion = 1) for the SSB4 and SSB5 mapping to the PRACH occasion, which means one SSB corresponds to one PRACH occasion.

[0224] In some embodiments, the wireless communication terminal is provided a number N1 of predefined SSB indexes associated with one PRACH occasion by the second information, the wireless communication terminal is provided a number N2 of predefined SSB indexes associated with one PRACH occasion by the second information and so on. In some embodiments, the number of SSB-PRACH mapping ratios is determined by the second information. In some embodiments, the relationship between SSB indexes and SSB-PRACH mapping ratios is determined by the second information.

[0225] In some embodiments, the SSB with the increasing index order is mapping to the RO in the following order (using the mapping ratios in FIG. 4 or FIG. 5) :

[0226] For the SSB with index 0 to index 3:

[0227] First, the SSB with the increasing index order is mapping to the RO in the increasing order of preamble indexes within a single PRACH occasion.

[0228] Second, the SSB with the increasing index order is mapping to the RO in the increasing order of frequency resource indexes for the frequency multiplexed PRACH occasions.

[0229] Third, the SSB with the increasing index order is mapping to the RO in increasing order of time resource indexes for time multiplexed PRACH occasions within a PRACH slot.

[0230] Forth, the SSB with the increasing index order is mapping to the RO in increasing order of indexes for PRACH slots.

[0231] For the SSB with index 4 and index 5:

[0232] First, the SSB with the increasing index order is mapping to the RO in the increasing order of frequency resource indexes for the frequency multiplexed PRACH occasions.

[0233] Second, the SSB with the increasing index order is mapping to the RO in increasing order of time resource indexes for the time multiplexed PRACH occasions.

[0234] Third, the SSB with the increasing index order is mapping to the RO in increasing order of indexes for PRACH slots.

[0235] In some embodiments, the adaptation information includes third information for PRACH occasions usage.

[0236] In some embodiments, the third information is for PRACH occasions usage. In some embodiments, the third information determines which PRACH occasions are used, and / or which PRACH occasions are unused. In some cases, the used ROs are PRACH occasions used for access, while the unused ROs are PRACH occasions not used for access. In some cases, the used PRACH occasions are mapped to SSBs, while the unused PRACH occasions are not mapped to SSBs.

[0237] In some embodiments, the third information is / comprises the bitmap for the PRACH occasions. In some cases, the bit of the bitmap indicates the PRACH occasions is used or not used for access. In one example, bit ‘1’ indicates the PRACH occasion is used for access, while bit ‘0’ indicates the PRACH occasion is not used for access. In another example, bit ‘0’ indicates the PRACH occasion is used for access, while bit ‘1’ indicates the PRACH occasion is not used for access.

[0238] In some embodiments, the bits of the bitmap from the Most Significant Bit (MSB) to the Least Significant Bit (LSB) indicate the PRACH occasions from the following order:

[0239] First, the PRACH occasions are in increasing order of frequency resource indexes for frequency multiplexed PRACH occasions.

[0240] Second, the PRACH occasions are in increasing order of time resource indexes for time multiplexed PRACH occasions within a PRACH slot.

[0241] Third, the PRACH occasions are in increasing order of indexes for PRACH slots.

[0242] An example is provided below with reference to FIG. 7A. In this example, the bitmap indicates PRACH occasions in one PRACH configuration period in the order mentioned above, which is:

[0244] Second, the bit within the bitmap indicates the PRACH occasions in increasing order of time resource indexes for time multiplexed PRACH occasions within a PRACH slot.

[0245] Third, the bit within the bitmap indicates the PRACH occasions in increasing order of indexes for PRACH slots.

[0246] In some embodiments, the third information is / comprises the bitmap for the PRACH  preambles. In some cases, the bit of the bitmap indicates the PRACH preamble is used or not used for access. In one example, bit ‘1’ indicates the PRACH preamble is used for access, while bit ‘0’ indicates the PRACH preamble is not used for access. In another example, bit ‘0’ indicates the PRACH preamble is used for access, while bit ‘1’ indicates the PRACH occasions is not used for access.

[0247] In some embodiments, the bits from the Most Significant Bit (MSB) to the Least Significant Bit (LSB) indicate the PRACH occasions from the following order:

[0248] First, The PRACH occasions are in increasing order of preamble indexes within a single PRACH occasion.

[0249] Second, The PRACH occasions are in increasing order of frequency resource indexes for frequency multiplexed PRACH occasions.

[0250] Third, The PRACH occasions are in increasing order of time resource indexes for time multiplexed PRACH occasions within a PRACH slot.

[0251] Forth, The PRACH occasions are in increasing order of indexes for PRACH slots.

[0252] In some embodiments, the third information is / comprises the bitmap for SSB indexes, In some cases, the bit of the bitmap indicates the SSB index in an ascending order from MSB to LSB. In one example, bit ‘1’ indicates the PRACH occasions mapped with the corresponding SSB index are used for access, while bit ‘0’ indicates the PRACH occasions mapped with the corresponding SSB index are not used for access. In another example, In another example, bit ‘0’ indicates the PRACH occasions mapped with the corresponding SSB index are used for access, while bit ‘1’ indicates the PRACH occasions mapped with the corresponding SSB index are not used for access

[0253] In some embodiments, the third information is / comprises one or more SSB indexes. In some cases, the PRACH occasions mapped with the corresponding SSB indexes are used for access. In some cases, the PRACH occasions mapped with the corresponding SSB indexes are not used for access.

[0254] In some embodiments, the third information is / comprises a number of used PRACH occasions; In some cases, the third information is / comprises a quantity of used PRACH occasions in an association period. In some cases, the used PRACH occasions are used for access.

[0255] In some embodiments, the third information is / comprises a number of unused PRACH  occasions. In some cases, the third information is / comprises a quantity of unused PRACH occasions in an association period. In some cases, the unused PRACH occasions are not used for access (e.g., invalid PRACH occasion) .

[0256] In some embodiments, the third information is / comprises an available FDM number. In some cases, the available FDM number is the number of PRACH occasions available in frequency domain within a time instance. In some cases, the available FDM number is smaller than the FDM number configured by a higher layer parameter.

[0257] In some embodiments, the device type or UE capability comprising the adaptation information.

[0258] In some embodiments, there are one or more PRACH occasions. In some cases, the first PRACH occasions are used for access. In some cases, the second PRACH occasions are used for transmitting an UL signaling. In this case, the UL signaling is uplink low power wake up, UL WUS signaling for triggering on demand SIB1. For example, the second PRACH occasions are UL WUS occasions.

[0259] In some embodiments, the adaptation information includes PRACH configuration adaptation information. In some cases, PRACH configuration adaptation information includes the information for adding / deleting PRACH occasions in time domain.

[0260] In some embodiments, the adaptation information is used for the first PRACH occasions. In some cases, one or more first PRACH occasions are overlapped with one or more second PRACH occasions in at least time domain, or frequency domain based on the adaptation information. In some cases, a priority information is used for indicating the priority of the second PRACH occasions. In this case, the priority information is determined by a higher layer parameter, e.g., RRC signaling. In this case, the priority information includes two integers for priority of the second PRACH occasions. As an alternative, when the second PRACH occasions are configured by priority ‘1’ , the second PRACH occasion is used if second PRACH occasion is overlapped with the first PRACH occasion. As an alternative, when the second PRACH occasions are configured by priority ‘0’ , the first PRACH occasion is used if the second PRACH occasions is overlapped with the first PRACH occasion.

[0261] For example, in FIG. 7B, the PRACH occasions are collided with the UL WUS occasions in the first resource and the second resource, for these two resources, if the priority of the  UL WUS occasions is priority ‘1’ , the UL WUS occasions are in the first resource and the second resource. While if the priority of the UL WUS occasions is priority ‘0’ , the PRACH occasions are in the first resource and the second resource.

[0262] In some embodiments, the adaptation information is used for the first PRACH occasions. In some cases, one or more first PRACH occasions are overlapped with one or more second PRACH occasions in at least time domain, or frequency domain based on the adaptation information. In some cases, the overlapped number is used for indicating the number of overlapped first PRACH occasions and the second PRACH occasions. In some cases, the overlapped number is used to determine the FDM number of the PRACH occasions in the time instance. In some cases, the FDM number of the PRACH occasions in the time instance is the FDM number configured from a higher layer parameter (e.g., msg1-FDM) plus the overlapped number. For example, For example, in FIG. 7C, the PRACH occasions are collided with the UL WUS occasions in the first resource and the second resource. In this case, in this time instance, the FDM number is the FDM number configured from msg1-FDM (e.g., 2) plus the overlapped number (e.g., 1) . In this case, the FDM number of the first PRACH occasions is 3 in this time instance, and the first PRACH occasion in the first resource is dropped. In this case, the UL WUS occasion is used. The remaining two of the first PRACH occasions is used. This would not reduce the number of PRACH occasions in the PRACH configuration.

[0263] In some embodiments, the adaptation information is used for the first PRACH occasions or the second PRACH occasions. In some cases, the adaptation information includes an index for the first PRACH occasions, or the second PRACH occasions. For example, when the adaptation information is an index (e.g., a codepoint ‘01’ ) for the first PRACH occasions, the adaptation information is only used for the first PRACH occasions. While when the adaptation information is an index (e.g., a codepoint ‘10’ ) for the second PRACH occasions, the adaptation information is only used for the second PRACH occasions. In some cases, the adaptation is an index (e.g., a codepoint ‘11’ ) for the first and second PRACH occasions, the adaptation is used for both the first PRACH occasions and the second PRACH occasions.

[0264] In some embodiments, one PRACH configuration comprises the first PRACH occasions and the second PRACH occasions. In some cases, The adaptation information is used for first PRACH occasions. In some cases, the adaptation information is used for the first PRACH  occasions and the second PRACH occasions.

[0265] In some embodiments, the adaptation information includes the bitmap for the PRACH occasions. In some cases, the bitmap indicates the first PRACH occasions. In some cases, the bitmap indicates the first PRACH occasions and the second PRACH occasions.

[0266] In some cases, the adaptation information includes multiple periodicities. For example, the PRACH configuration periods include {40ms, 160ms} . In this case, the PRACH configuration is configured based on the PRACH configuration period 40ms. In this case, in the time period of 160ms, 4 PRACH configurations can be obtained, i.e., the 1st PRACH resources in the first 40ms, 2nd PRACH resources in the second 40ms, 3rd PRACH resource in the third 40ms and 4th PRACH resources in the fourth 40ms. In this case, the 2nd PRACH resources, 3rd PRACH resources and 4th PRACH resources can be confined within the first 40ms.

[0267] Aspect 2:

[0268] FIG. 8 shows a schematic diagram of adaptation information according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, an application adaptation information is associated with an effective period.

[0290] A wireless communication method is also provided according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In an embodiment, the wireless communication method may be performed by using a wireless communication terminal (e.g., a UE) . In an embodiment, the wireless communication terminal may be implemented by using the wireless communication terminal 30 described in this disclosure, but is not limited thereto.

[0291] Referring to FIG. 12, in an embodiment, the wireless communication method includes: determining, by a wireless communication terminal, physical random access channel, PRACH, occasions, according to adaptation information; and transmitting, by the wireless communication terminal to a wireless communication node, a PRACH preamble in a PRACH occasion within PRACH occasions based on the adaptation information.

[0292] Details in this regard can be ascertained with reference to the paragraphs above, and will not be repeated herein.

[0293] Another wireless communication method is also provided according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In an embodiment, the wireless communication method may be performed by using a wireless communication node (e.g., a gNB) . In an embodiment, the wireless communication node may be implemented by using the wireless communication node 40 described in this disclosure, but is not limited thereto.

[0294] Referring to FIG. 13, in an embodiment, the wireless communication method includes:  receiving, by a wireless communication node from a wireless communication terminal, a PRACH preamble in a PRACH occasion within a plurality of PRACH occasions based on adaptation information.

[0295] Details in this regard can be ascertained with reference to the paragraphs above, and will not be repeated herein.

[0296] In some embodiments, the wireless communication terminal used in the present disclosure may indicate the UE described above.

[0297] In some embodiments, the wireless communication node used in the present disclosure may indicate the BS or gNB described above.

[0298] While various embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above, it should be understood that they have been presented by way of example only, and not by way of limitation. Likewise, the various diagrams may depict an example architectural or configuration, which are provided to enable persons of ordinary skill in the art to understand exemplary features and functions of the present disclosure. Such persons would understand, however, that the present disclosure is not restricted to the illustrated example architectures or configurations, but can be implemented using a variety of alternative architectures and configurations. Additionally, as would be understood by persons of ordinary skill in the art, one or more features of one embodiment can be combined with one or more features of another embodiment described herein. Thus, the breadth and scope of the present disclosure should not be limited by any one of the above-described exemplary embodiments.

[0299] It is understood that, in the present disclosure, the term “and / or” or symbol “ / ” may include any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items. For example, A and / or B and / or C includes any and all combinations of one or more of A, B, and C, including A, B, C, A and B, A and C, B and C, and a combination of A and B and C. Likewise, A / B / C includes any and all combinations of one or more of A, B, and C, including A, B, C, A and B, A and C, B and C, and a combination of A and B and C.

[0300] It is also understood that any reference to an element herein using a designation such as "first, " "second, " and so forth does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. Rather, these designations can be used herein as a convenient means of distinguishing between two or more elements or instances of an element. Thus, a reference to first and second elements does  not mean that only two elements can be employed, or that the first element must precede the second element in some manner.

[0301] Additionally, a person having ordinary skill in the art would understand that information and signals can be represented using any one of a variety of different technologies and techniques. For example, data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits and symbols, for example, which may be referenced in the above description can be represented by voltages, currents, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or particles, optical fields or particles, or any combination thereof.

[0302] A skilled person would further appreciate that any one of the various illustrative logical blocks, units, processors, means, circuits, methods and functions described in connection with the aspects disclosed herein can be implemented by electronic hardware (e.g., a digital implementation, an analog implementation, or a combination of the two) , firmware, various forms of program or design code incorporating instructions (which can be referred to herein, for convenience, as "software" or a "software unit” ) , or any combination of these techniques.

[0303] To clearly illustrate this interchangeability of hardware, firmware and software, various illustrative components, blocks, units, circuits, operations, and steps have been described above generally in terms of their functionality. Whether such functionality is implemented as hardware, firmware or software, or a combination of these techniques, depends upon the particular application and design constraints imposed on the overall system. Skilled artisans can implement the described functionality in various ways for each particular application, but such implementation decisions do not cause a departure from the scope of the present disclosure. In accordance with various embodiments, a processor, device, component, circuit, structure, machine, unit, etc. can be configured to perform one or more of the functions described herein. The term “configured to” or “configured for” as used herein with respect to a specified operation or function refers to a processor, device, component, circuit, structure, machine, unit, etc. that is physically constructed, programmed and / or arranged to perform the specified operation or function.

[0304] Furthermore, a skilled person would understand that various illustrative logical blocks, units, devices, components and circuits described herein can be implemented within or performed by an integrated circuit (IC) that can include a general-purpose processor, a digital signal processor (DSP) , an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) , a field programmable gate array (FPGA)  or other programmable logic device, or any combination thereof. The logical blocks, units, and circuits can further include antennas and / or transceivers to communicate with various components within the network or within the device. A general-purpose processor can be a microprocessor, but in the alternative, the processor can be any conventional processor, controller, or state machine. A processor can also be implemented as a combination of computing devices, e.g., a combination of a DSP and a microprocessor, a plurality of microprocessors, one or more microprocessors in conjunction with a DSP core, or any other suitable configuration to perform the functions described herein. If implemented in software, the functions can be stored as one or more instructions or code on a computer-readable medium. Thus, the steps or operations of a method or algorithm disclosed herein can be implemented as software stored on a computer-readable medium.

[0305] Computer-readable media includes both computer storage media and communication media including any medium that can be enabled to transfer a computer program or code from one place to another. A storage media can be any available media that can be accessed by a computer. By way of example, and not limitation, such computer-readable media can include RAM, ROM, EEPROM, CD-ROM or other optical disk storage, magnetic disk storage or other magnetic storage devices, or any other medium that can be used to store desired program code in the form of instructions or data structures and that can be accessed by a computer.

[0306] In this document, the term "unit" as used herein, refers to software, firmware, hardware, and any combination of these elements for performing the associated functions described herein. Additionally, for purpose of discussion, the various units are described as discrete units; however, as would be apparent to one of ordinary skill in the art, two or more units may be combined to form a single unit that performs the associated functions according to embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0307] Additionally, memory or other storage, as well as communication components, may be employed in embodiments of the present disclosure. It will be appreciated that, for clarity purposes, the above description has described embodiments of the present disclosure with reference to different functional units and processors. However, it will be apparent that any suitable distribution of functionality between different functional units, processing logic elements or domains may be used without detracting from the present disclosure. For example, functionality illustrated to be performed by separate processing logic elements, or controllers, may be performed by the same  processing logic element, or controller. Hence, references to specific functional units are only references to a suitable means for providing the described functionality, rather than indicative of a strict logical or physical structure or organization.

[0308] Various modifications to the implementations described in this disclosure will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art, and the general principles defined herein can be applied to other implementations without departing from the scope of the claims. Thus, the disclosure is not intended to be limited to the implementations shown herein, but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the novel features and principles disclosed herein, as recited in the claims below.
