[0003] The subject of the present patent application is a process for the application of silicone to glass objects such as, by way of a nonlimiting example, glasses, cutters, pots, bottles or the like, said application being aimed at obtaining a contact surface between the object and the plane on which it rests, in order to preserve the integrity while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the object itself .

[0005] The invention which is the subject of the present patent application finds application in the sector of making glass objects or frangible material .
[0006] In particular, the invention relative to this patent application finds application in the sector of making glass or glass objects or frangible material, said objects being intended to be iteratively lifted and placed on planes such as, for example, tables or trays or in general support surfaces.
[0007] Notoriously, a frangible object such as, by way of example but not limitation, a glass or glass beaker when placed on a support surface directly contacts the material of which said support surface is made. The direct contact of an object made of a frangible material with a surface may generate two different problems listed below.
[0008] The first problem concerns the possible wear of the support surface or the impairment of the integrity of the material with which the support surface is made, particularly if the raising movement of the object and repositioning is repeated or if the object is moved along the support surface.

[0010] A first solution to the aforementioned problems is to provide the support surface of covering elements, usually made of potentially cushioning material. These covering elements can be positioned above the entire support surface — for example napkins or the like — or else be constituted by covering portions having a lower surface than the surface of the support — for example , elements of the subpad type .

[0018] For example , US patent application US2641911 describes the construction of an element consisting of a base having a raised peripheral edge to form a cavity designed to receive the flat bottom of a cup . The document US Pat . No . 9974404 describes the production of an element to be positioned at the base of the stem of a wine cup, said element being substantially made from a base having a raised peripheral edge to form a cavity suitable for receiving the lower surface of a wine cup, said base having a greater surface than the bottom surface of the cup for the purpose of collecting any condensate formed on the surface of the cup and flowing along the stem .

The type of solutions mentioned above has substantially the disadvantage of forming a solution which must necessarily be prepared separately from the reali zation of the obj ect to which they are subsequently associated .
[0020] A further disadvantage is that the surface forming the base of the element could be too small or too large with respect to the base of the glass-glass obj ect-and thus not usable .
[0021] A further drawback is that the aforementioned solutions could signi ficantly compromise the appearance of the obj ect to which they are associated .
[0022] In the state of the art there are also known systems for anti-impact and / or anti-slip bearings comprised of small elements or in the form of a belt which is cut according to need .
[0023] These systems are substantially composed of a first adhesive surface , which is placed in contact with the lower surface of an obj ect , and a second surface , opposite the first , said second surface being made of an anti-impact material of the rubber type or the like .
[0024] In the case of obj ects made of frangible material one or more bearings are applied to the lower surface of the obj ect in order to prevent its sliding .
[0025] The disadvantage of the type of solution mentioned above is mainly composed of the fact that with the time the adhesive force of the first surface is less and the bearing is disconnected, in particular in the case of products intended for washing, such as , by way of example but not of limitation, glasses or carafes . The sticking of the bearing creates both a misalignment condition of the base of the obj ect relative to the support surface and a condition of direct contact between the material of which the support surface is made and the material of the obj ect itsel f .
[0026] At the state of the art there are solutions concerning the application of layers of silicone on glass surfaces .
[0027] For example , patent application W02018014603 describes a process for applying a layer of silicone to a glass surface , said application occurring by trans fer of silicone in the form of a spray directly on the surface or on the surface previously treated with adhesive material .
[0028] The solution described in the aforementioned document is particularly complex in that it relates to the construction methods of the application, in addition to the fact that it does not allow a discrete application of the surface unless such features are not adopted, which may allow the covering of the surface areas in which silicone application is not desired .
[0029] Patent applications DE2020100245 and W02011102973 disclose the production of products to which a layer of silicone is applied to the protective purpose — DE2020100245 — or in order to make a grip / W02011102973 more ergonomic .
[0030] Both solutions therefore concern the reali zation of a product on which a layer of silicone is applied, said layer being essentially comprised of a thin layer which continuously covers the surface on which it is applied .
[0031] In general , the solutions known in the state of the art of the above- mentioned type do not allow a combined ef fect of application of a silicone layer in order to render the obj ect protected against impacts and an appreciable aesthetic ef fect .
[0032] The obj ect of the present patent application is therefore to solve the disadvantages of the state of the art mentioned above , in particular by means of a process and corresponding product obtained which may combine the technical purpose — creating a discontinuity between the support surface and the breakable obj ect so as to reduce the risk of impairing both the support surface and / or the obj ect- and the appearance of appearance .

With reference to FIG. 4, in a fourth preferred embodiment, the polysiloxane (R2SiO)n (100) or the polysiloxane-based products (R2SiO)n (100) are applied in the form of a suitably made structure, of the written or logenotype or the like, said structure having smaller or all dimensions equal to the dimension of the lower surface of the object to obtain a protected product from shocks or wear which at the same time maintains the pleasantness.
Claims
CLAIMS1. Process for the application of polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor polysiloxane (R.2SiO)n-based products on the surface of a product made of glass, crystal, or fragile material, to obtain a flat surface of dimensions equal to or at most smaller than the size of the surface of said product said process comprising the following steps:— insertion of a certain quantity of polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor polysiloxane (R2S1O)n-based products in liquid form into a container / tank,— transfer of a portion of polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor polysiloxane (R2S1O)n-based products from the container / tank to the surface of the glass, crystal, or fragile material,— solidification of the transferred portion of polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor polysiloxane (R2S1O)n-based products, said process characterized by the fact that the polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor polysiloxane (R2S1O)n-based products are transferred in liquid form onto the surface of the product to create a thin, filament-like or point-like layer of polysiloxane (R2SiO)n or polysiloxane-based products (R2SiO)n.
2. Process as per claim 1 characterized in that the polysiloxane (R2SiO)n or polysiloxane-based products (R2SiO)n are introduced in liquid form into a dispensing device consisting of a tank which has a nozzle at one end for the release of a portion of liquid polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor liquid polysiloxane (R2S1O)n-based products and at the opposite end a piston-type pushing system.
3. Product obtained from the process according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the thin filamentous layer of polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor polysiloxane (R2S1O)n-based products is a single continuous filamentous layer.

Product obtained from the process according to claim 1 characterized by the fact that the bottom surface features a thin filamentous layer of polysiloxane (R2SiO)norpolysiloxane (R2S1O) n -based products in the form of a series of filamentous layers .5 . Product obtained from the process according to claim 1 , characteri zed by the fact that the bottom surface features a thin layer of polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor polysiloxane (R2S1O)n- based products in the form of a series of punctate surfaces .6 . Product obtained from the process according to claim 1 , characteri zed by the fact that the bottom surface features a thin layer of polysiloxane (R2SiO)nor polysiloxane (R2S1O)n- based products in the form of a written text or logo .
