The user terminal 10 includes a processor 11, a display device 12, an input device 13, a storage device 14, and a communication device 15. These components are connected via a bus 16. Note that an interface is interposed between the bus 16 and each component device as necessary. In this embodiment, the user terminal 10 is a smartphone. However, the user terminal 10 can also be a tablet computer, a computer equipped with a touch-type input device such as a touchpad, a laptop computer, a desktop computer, or any other terminal equipped with the above configuration.
[0013] Similarly, the server device 20 also includes a processor 21, a display device 22, an input device 23, a storage device 24, and a communication device 25. These components are connected by a bus 26. Note that an interface is interposed between the bus 26 and each component device as needed. In this embodiment, the server device 20 is realized by a computer.
[0014] The processors 11 and 21 are, for example, CPUs that control the overall operation of the user terminal 10 and the server device 20, respectively. Note that electronic circuits such as MPUs may also be used as the processors 11 and 21. The processors 11 and 21 perform various processes by reading and executing programs and data stored in the storage devices 14 and 24.
[0015] The display devices (displays) 12 and 22 display application screens and the like to the user of the user terminal 10 or the user of the server device 20 under the control of the processors 11 and 21. A liquid crystal display is preferable, but an organic EL display, a plasma display, or the like may also be used.
[0016] The input devices 13 and 23 are user interfaces that accept input from users to the user terminal 10 and the server device 20, and are, for example, a touch panel, a touch pad, a keyboard, or a mouse. In this embodiment, the user terminal 10 is a smartphone, so the user terminal 10 has a touch panel as the input device 13, which also functions as the display device 12, and the display device 12 and the input device 13 are integrated into one structure. The display device 12 and the input device 13 may be separate devices located in different positions. [0019] FIG. 3 shows an example of a functional block diagram of a user terminal 10 and a server device 20 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The user terminal 10 includes a control unit 101, a display unit 102, an input unit 103, a storage unit 104, and a communication unit 105. The server device 20 includes a control unit 201, a display unit 202, an input unit 203, a storage unit 204, a communication unit 205, and a registration unit 206. In this embodiment, these functions are realized by at least one of the processors 11 and 21 executing a program. For example, the executed program is a program stored in the storage devices 14 and 24. As such, since various functions are realized by loading a program, some or all of one part (function) may be possessed by another part. These functions may also be realized by hardware by configuring electronic circuits or the like to realize some or all of the functions.
[0020] The control means 101 of the user terminal 10 performs control processing for executing the functions of the application of this embodiment. The application may be a dedicated application prepared for realizing this embodiment, or may be an application that is also used for other purposes, such as a general-purpose browser.
[0021] The display unit 102 of the user terminal 10 displays an application screen for controlling the functions of the application, and displays an application screen corresponding to the application functions and user operations. If the application is a browser, this is a browser screen.
[0022] The input means 103 of the user terminal 10 accepts input from the user of the user terminal 10. In this embodiment, a touch panel equipped with the display means 102 and the input means 103 is used, and the input means is realized by a touch detection function.
[0023] The storage means 104 of the user terminal 10 stores information necessary for information processing executed by the control means 101, and stores, for example, information such as user information of the user received from the server device 20. The user information is electronic data containing information related to the user, and in this embodiment, the user information is electronic data containing reservation information indicating the user's reservation for a fighting game, cancellation information indicating the user's cancellation of a fighting game reservation, unauthorized cancellation information indicating that the user has canceled a fighting game reservation included in the reservation information without registering it and the number of times this has happened, and status information indicating the user's status.
[0024] The communication means 105 of the user terminal 10 can communicate with the communication means 205 of the server device 20 via the network 2 .
[0025] The control means 201 of the server device 20 performs processing to be executed in the server device 20 for an application executed in the user terminal 10. In this embodiment, the control means 201 controls so as to restrict a user's reservation for a fighting game in accordance with registered user information. A user's reservation refers to the server device 20 accepting a user's reservation input for a fighting game via the user terminal 10. For example, the server device 20 can restrict a user's reservation for a fighting game by not accepting the user's reservation input via the user terminal 10.
[0026] The display means 202 of the server device 20 displays a management screen for the server administrator as needed on the display device 22. The input means 203 accepts user input from a user such as the administrator of the server device 20.
[0027] The storage means 204 of the server device 20 stores a user identifier (ID) in association with a user name, status information, the number of unauthorized cancellations, etc. Here, the user ID is an example of user identification information that can identify a user. The status information may include first status information, second status information that is more unfavorable to the user with respect to the reservation than the first status information, and third status information that is more unfavorable to the user with respect to the reservation than the second status information. In this embodiment, the first status information is "normal," the second status information is "restricted," and the third status information is "warning." Note that the meaning of "unfavorable to the user with respect to the reservation" will be explained later with specific examples. An unauthorized cancellation occurs when a user cancels a reservation for a competitive game without participating in the competitive game without registering the cancellation through the event management system. For example, when it is confirmed that the user did not attend the venue on the day of the competitive game, the administrator of the competitive game accepts the cancellation and cancels the reservation by inputting a cancellation request from the user who did not attend the venue. The number of unauthorized cancellations is cumulatively counted. The number of no-show cancellations may be accumulated over a certain period of time, or may be reset at the beginning of the period following a certain period. In this embodiment, the storage unit 204 stores user information such as user names in association with user IDs, as shown in Table A in FIG. 4A. FIG. 4A is a diagram showing an example of Table A, which is a user information table. In Table A shown in FIG. 4A, for example, the user ID "U001" is associated with the user name "User A," the status information "Normal," and the number of no-show cancellations "2 times." The user ID "U002" is associated with the user name "User B," the status information "Limited," and the number of no-show cancellations "1 time." The user ID "U003" is associated with the user name "User C," the status information "Warning," and the number of no-show cancellations "0 times."
[0028] The storage unit 204 stores the competitive game ID in association with the competitive game name, whether or not a lottery is required, the reservation period, etc. Here, the competitive game ID is an example of competitive game identification information that can identify a competitive game. The competitive game may include multiple types of competitive games. The competitive games include, for example, a first type of competitive game that can be participated in if a player reserves and wins a lottery, a second type of competitive game that can be participated in without a reservation and a lottery, and a third type of competitive game that can be reserved by multiple users as a team. The information stored in association with the competitive game ID may be based on information entered by a competitive game organizer using the event management service provided by the system. In this embodiment, the storage unit 204 stores information about the competitive game, such as the competitive game name, in association with the competitive game ID, as shown in Table B of FIG. 4B . FIG. 4B is a diagram illustrating an example of Table B, which is a competitive game information table. 4B , for example, the battle game ID "G001" is stored in association with the battle game name "Battle Game A," the presence or absence of a lottery being "No," and the reservation period "March 1, 2024 to March 7, 2024," the battle game ID "G002" is stored in association with the battle game name "Battle Game B," the presence or absence of a lottery being "Yes," and the reservation period "March 1, 2024 to March 7, 2024," and the battle game ID "G003" is stored in association with the battle game name "Battle Game C," the presence or absence of a lottery being "No," and the reservation period "March 1, 2024 to March 7, 2024." Note that battle game C with the battle game ID "G003" is a third type of battle game that can be reserved by two users as a team.
[0029] The storage means 204 stores the reservation ID in association with the above-mentioned battle game ID, user ID, etc. Here, the reservation ID is an example of reservation identification information that can identify a reservation for a battle game. In this embodiment, the storage means 204 stores the reservation ID in association with the battle game ID, etc., as shown in Table C of FIG. 4C. FIG. 4C is a diagram showing an example of Table C, which is a reservation table. In Table C shown in FIG. 4C, for example, the reservation ID "B001" is stored in association with the battle game ID "G001" and the user ID "U001", the reservation ID "B002" is stored in association with the battle game ID "G001" and the user ID "U002", the reservation ID "B003" is stored in association with the battle game ID "G001" and the user ID "U003", and the reservation ID "B004" is stored in association with the battle game ID "G005". The reservation ID "B005" is stored in association with the battle game ID "G002" and the user ID "U002", the reservation ID "B006" is stored in association with the battle game ID "G003" and the user IDs "U001" and "U002", and the reservation ID "B007" is stored in association with the battle game ID "G003" and the user IDs "U001" and "U003".
[0030] The communication means 205 of the server device 20 can communicate with the communication means 105 of the user terminal 10 via the network 2. For example, the control means 201 receives a user ID, a password, etc. from the user terminal 10 to authenticate the user, and communicates with the authenticated user terminal 10, allowing the user of the user terminal 10 to use the services provided by the server device 20 as the user of the user ID.
[0031] The registration means 206 of the server device 20 associates and registers the information stored in the storage means 204. The control means 201 can control the registration means 206.
[0032] The control means 201 controls the status information of a registered user so that it can be changed in response to a user canceling without permission. For example, if a reservation with a reservation ID of "B001" by user A with user ID "U001" in FIG. 4C is canceled without permission, the control means 201 changes the status of user A in FIG. 4A from "normal" to "restricted" in response to this cancellation without permission. The control means 201 controls the status of a user so that it can restrict the user's reservation for a fighting game in response to the user canceling without permission. For example, the control means 201 restricts the user's reservation for a fighting game by not accepting reservation input via the user terminal 10.
[0033] The control means 201 controls the registered status information of a user so that it can be changed depending on the number of times the user has canceled without notice. For example, when a reservation with a reservation ID of "B001" and a user ID of "U001" in Fig. 4C is canceled without notice by the control means 201, the control means 201 changes the number of times user A has canceled without notice in Fig. 4A from "2 times" to "3 times," and changes the status of user A in Fig. 4A from "normal" to "limited" in accordance with the changed number of times cancellation without notice being "3 times." The number of times cancellation without notice may be the number of times cancellation without notice in a first period, or the control means 201 may control the user's status information so that it can be changed in a second period.
[0034] The control means 201 controls so as to restrict a user's reservation for a fighting game in accordance with the number of times the user has canceled without permission. In the present embodiment, when a reservation with reservation ID "B001" of user A, whose user ID is "U001" in FIG. 4C , is canceled without permission, the number of times user A has canceled without permission becomes three, and the control means 201 restricts user A's reservation for a fighting game by not accepting reservation input for that user ID via the user terminal 10 in accordance with the number of times user A has canceled without permission. The number of times cancellation without permission may be the number of times cancellation without permission in a first period, or the control means 201 may control so as to restrict the user's reservation for a fighting game in a second period.
[0035] The second period is a period following the first period. The third period is a period following the second period. The first period, second period, and third period may be any period between 28 and 31 days, or may be a period of 32 days or more. The first period, second period, and third period may be a period of a single month, or may be a period spanning multiple months.
[0036] The control means 201 controls so that reservation actions are not restricted for users with the first status information, and some reservation actions are restricted for users with the second status information. In this embodiment, reservation actions are not restricted for users with a status of "normal," and some reservation actions are restricted for users with a status of "restricted," for example, by not accepting reservation inputs for the user ID of the user via the user terminal 10. Restricting some reservation actions may, for example, mean limiting the number of reservations that a user with a status of "restricted" can make within a specified period to three, and not accepting a fourth reservation input by the user.
[0037] The control means 201 sets a condition that the user has cancelled reservations without notice a predetermined number of times or more, and if it determines that the number of times is equal to or greater than the predetermined number, it controls to change the registered first status information of the user to second status information and register the second status information. In this embodiment, the predetermined number is three times. For example, if user A, whose user ID is "U001" in Fig. 4A, has cancelled reservations without notice twice, and whose user ID is "U001" in Fig. 4C has cancelled a reservation with reservation ID "B001" without notice, the number of times of cancellation without notice for user A becomes three. The control means 201 sets a condition that the number of cancellations without notice for user A is three or more times, and if it determines that the number of cancellations without notice for user A is three or more times, it changes the status of user A in Fig. 4A from "normal" to "limited" and registers the status.
[0038] The control unit 201 sets a condition that the user has canceled reservations without notice less than a predetermined number of times. If it determines that the number is less than the predetermined number, it controls so as not to change the registered user's first status information to the second status information. In this embodiment, the predetermined number is three times. For example, if a user A with user ID "U001" in FIG. 4A has canceled reservations without notice twice and the reservation ID "B001" of user A in FIG. 4C is canceled in advance, the control unit 201 sets a condition that the number of cancellations without notice by user A is less than three times. If it determines that the number is less than three times, it does not change the user A's status in FIG. 4A from "normal" to "limited." In other words, the user A's status remains "normal."
[0039] The control means 201 sets a condition that the number of times of no-notice cancellations during a second period following the first period is equal to or greater than a predetermined number for a user for whom second status information is registered, and when it determines that the number of times is equal to or greater than the predetermined number, controls to change the registered status information of the user from the second status information to third status information and register it. The control means 201 may also control to change the status information of the user during a third period following the second period from the second status information to the third status information and register it. In this embodiment, the specified number of times is three, and when user B with user ID "U002" in Figure 4A, who has one no-show cancellation in Figure 4A, cancels reservations with reservation IDs "B002" and "B005" in Figure 4C without permission, the number of no-show cancellations by user B becomes three, and the control means 201 determines that user B's no-show cancellation count is three or more, and if it determines that it is three or more, it changes user B's status in Figure 4A from "restricted" to "warning" and registers it.
[0040] The control unit 201 controls so as to restrict all reservation actions during the third period for users for whom the third status information is registered. In this embodiment, the control unit 201 restricts all reservation actions of user C during the third period by, for example, not accepting reservation input via the user terminal 10 for user C whose status is "Warning" in Fig. 4A and whose user ID is "U003".
[0041] The control means 201 controls to change the probability of winning the lottery for the first type of fighting game according to the status information of the registered user. For example, when the status information of the registered user is the second status information, the control means 201 controls to lower the probability of winning the lottery compared to when the status information of the registered user is the first status information. In this embodiment, the control means 201 controls to lower the winning probability of a reservation for the fighting game B with a lottery, which has a reservation ID of "B005" and a fighting game ID of "G002" in FIG. 4C and is made by user B with a user ID of "U002" and a status of "limited" in FIG. 4A, compared to the winning probability of a reservation for the fighting game B with a lottery, which has a reservation ID of "B004" and a fighting game ID of "G002" in FIG. 4C and is made by user A with a user ID of "U001" and a status of "normal."
[0042] The control means 201 sets the condition that the status information of a registered user is the third status information, and if it determines that the status information is the third status information, it controls the user so that the user is unable to make reservations for the first type of fighting game. In this embodiment, the control means 201 sets the condition that the status of user C with user ID "U003" in Fig. 4A is "warning," and if it determines that the status is "warning," it disables user C from making reservations for fighting game B with lottery and game ID "G002" in Fig. 4B by, for example, not accepting reservation input via the user terminal 10.
[0043] The control means 201 sets the condition that the status information of a registered user is the second status information, and when it determines that the status information is the second status information, it controls to cancel all reservations of fighting games that the user has reserved. In this embodiment, the control means 201 sets the condition that the status of user B with user ID "U002" in Fig. 4A is "limited," and when it determines that the status is "limited," it cancels the reservation of fighting game A with reservation ID "B002" and fighting game ID "G001" that user B has reserved in Fig. 4C.
[0044] The control means 201 sets the condition that the status information of a registered user is the third status information, and when it determines that the status information is the third status information, it controls to cancel all reservations of fighting games that the user has reserved. In this embodiment, the control means 201 sets the condition that the status of user C with user ID "U003" in Fig. 4A is "warning," and when it determines that the status is "warning," it cancels the reservation of fighting game A with reservation ID "B003" and fighting game ID "G001" that user C has reserved in Fig. 4C.
[0045] In this way, depending on the status information of registered users, lowering the chances of winning a competitive game that requires winning a lottery, making reservations impossible in the first place, or canceling all reservations for competitive games that have already been reserved are concrete examples of the aforementioned ``disadvantages to users regarding reservations.''
[0046] When the server device 20 receives a request for cancellation of user information from a user via the user terminal 10, it executes a cancellation process for the user information. The control means 201, with the condition of cancellation of user information of a user whose registered status information is first status information, controls to execute the cancellation process for the user information when it determines that the registration is for cancellation of user information of a user whose registered status information is first status information. On the other hand, with the condition of cancellation of user information of a user whose registered status information is second status information or third status information, the control means 201 controls to execute the cancellation process for the user information after a certain period of time has elapsed when it determines that the registration is for cancellation of user information of a user whose registered status information is second status information or third status information. Since a user can re-register their user information after the execution of the cancellation process for their user information, by changing the timing of executing the cancellation process for the user information depending on the user's status information, i.e., by executing the cancellation process after a certain period of time has elapsed for users whose status information is second status information or third status information, it is possible to limit the period during which a user whose status information is second status information or third status information can re-register their user information. In this embodiment, when registration of user information cancellation by user A with user ID "U001" whose status is "normal" in FIG. 4A is accepted, cancellation processing of user information of user A is executed. On the other hand, when registration of user information cancellation by user B with user ID "U002" whose status is "restricted" in FIG. 4A is accepted, cancellation processing of user information of user B is executed after a certain period of time has passed, and when registration of user information cancellation by user C with user ID "U003" whose status is "warning" is accepted, cancellation processing of user information of user B is executed after a certain period of time has passed. Here, the "certain period of time" may be the same for a user with status "restricted" and a user with status "warning", or may be different.
[0047] As described above, the competitive game may include multiple types of competitive games, including a third type of competitive game that can be reserved by multiple users as a team. When canceling a team reservation for a third type of competitive game, the control means 201 sets a condition that the team includes a user with second status information. If it determines that a user with second status information is included, the control means 201 controls to cancel the reservation of only the user with the second status information. In this embodiment, when canceling a team reservation for a competitive game C with a reservation ID of "B006" and a competitive game ID of "G003" in FIG. 4C , the control means 201 sets a condition that the team includes user B with a user ID of "U002" and a status of "restricted." If it determines that user B with a user ID of "U002" and a status of "restricted" is included, the control means 201 cancels the reservation of only user B.
[0048] When canceling a reservation for a third type of fighting game as a team during the reservation period, the control means 201 sets a condition that the team includes a user with third status information, and if it determines that a user with the third status information is included, controls to cancel the reservation of only the user with the third status information. In this embodiment, when canceling a reservation for a fighting game C with a reservation ID of "B007" and a fighting game ID of "G003" in Fig. 4C as a team on March 7, 2024 during the reservation period, the control means 201 sets a condition that the team includes a user C with a user ID of "U003" whose status is "warning," and if it determines that a user C with a user ID of "U003" whose status is "warning," cancels the reservation of only user C.
[0049] When canceling a reservation for a third type of competitive game as a team during a reservation unavailable period, the control means 201 sets a condition that the team includes a user with the third status information. If it determines that a user with the third status information is included, the control means 201 controls to cancel the reservations of all users included in the team. In this embodiment, when canceling a reservation for a competitive game C with a reservation ID of "B007" and a competitive game ID of "G003" in FIG. 4C on March 8, 2024 during a reservation unavailable period for a team, the control means 201 sets a condition that the team includes a user C with a user ID of "U003" and a status of "Warning." If it determines that a user C with a user ID of "U003" and a status of "Warning" is included, the control means 201 cancels the reservations of users A and C. In this way, canceling the reservations of only users included in a team with the third status information or canceling the reservations of all users included in a team is a specific example of the aforementioned "disadvantageous to users in a reservation act."
[0050] Referring to FIG. 5, the operation 500 of the system in this embodiment will be described. In step S502, a cancellation of a battle game reservation by a user whose registered status is "normal" is accepted. In step S504, it is determined whether the cancellation is an unauthorized cancellation. Whether the cancellation is an unauthorized cancellation can be determined, for example, if the cancellation of the battle game reservation by the user of the battle game administrator is not made by the user himself / herself but by the user of the battle game administrator. Information indicating an unauthorized cancellation may be included in the instruction by the user of the battle game administrator to cancel the reservation. If it is determined that the cancellation is an unauthorized cancellation, in step S506, it is determined whether the user has canceled without permission three or more times. If it is determined that the user has canceled without permission three or more times, the registered status of the user is changed from "normal" to "restricted" and registered. On the other hand, if it is determined in step S504 that the cancellation is not an unauthorized cancellation, or if it is determined in step S506 that the user has not canceled without permission three or more times, the registered status of the user is not changed from "normal" in step S508. Therefore, in this case, the registered status of the user remains registered as "normal."
[0051] Next, referring to FIG. 6 , the operation 600 of the system in this embodiment will be described. In step S602, for a user whose registered status is "limited," a cancellation of a reservation for a fighting game is accepted. In step S604, it is determined whether the cancellation is a cancellation without permission. If it is determined that the cancellation is a cancellation without permission, in step S606, it is determined whether the user has canceled without permission three or more times. If it is determined that the user has canceled without permission three or more times, the user's status is changed from "limited" to "warning" and registered. On the other hand, if it is determined in step S604 that the cancellation is not a cancellation without permission, or if it is determined in step S606 that the user has not canceled without permission three or more times, in step S608, the registered status of the user is not changed from "limited." That is, in this case, the registered status of the user remains registered as "limited."

The app screen 700 displays the user's profile, which includes the user ID and username of the user, as well as a status 701, a number of no-show cancellations 702, and a no-show cancellation history 703. The user can check their own status 701. The user's status may be displayed on the app screen 700 of the user's own user terminal 10, but may not be displayed on the app screen 700 of the user terminals 10 of other users.
[0054] In an embodiment of the present invention, the event management system 1 includes a control unit 201 and a registration unit 206. If a user who has booked an event is unable to attend and cancels without prior notice, there will not be enough available reservation slots and other users who wanted to attend the event will not be able to make a reservation and participate. However, with this configuration, the present system can encourage users who have booked an event but are unable to attend to cancel in advance rather than cancel without prior notice. By canceling in advance, available reservation slots will become available, and other users who wanted to attend the event will be able to reserve and participate in the vacant reservation slot. This makes it possible for the event management system 1 provided by the present system to provide events that are more convenient for users participating in the event.
