Description

[0001] A MOVING PLATE MECHANISM

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The present invention relates to a moving plate mechanism which enables plates to move in a body by utilizing the gravitational force of water and energy to be obtained by transferring the movement of the plates to a generator with the help of a wheel.

[0004] Background of the Invention

[0005] Energy resources are sources that enable the production of energy by any means, and today, oil, coal and natural gas are the leading sources used in energy production. These energy resources are essential for sustaining our lives. The energy sources that are mostly used today are obtained from fossil resources. Therefore, they are not renewable. The fact that fossil energy resources, which are composed of fossilized plants and animals that have been under rock and soil in deep underground for millions of years and fossilized under heat and pressure, will be depleted one day has led to the search for alternative solutions for energy resources that are rapidly consumed. For this reason, today, there is a need for solutions that will enable energy to be obtained as an alternative to fossil energy resources.

[0006] The Chinese patent document no. CN105464889A, an application included in the state of the art, discloses a high-position water gravity power generator. The said power generator comprises a water tank, a power mechanism and a water transmission mechanism. The power mechanism included in the invention comprises a first sheave and a second sheave; the sheaves are connected to each other by a steel wire rope and there are a plurality of water trays vertically fixed on the steel wire rope. The water tray, fixed on the steel wire rope, passes through a main water channel formed at the bottom of the water tank. In the said Chinese patent document, the movement of the trays in the main water channel formed in the water tank is expected to move by means of the gravitational force of the water. However, the fact that the main water channel is located inside the water tank and one wall of the main water channel is in a hollow structure prevents the water pressure from fully reaching the trays. This situation has an adverse effect on the movement of the tray which is already in contact with the wall of the main water channel. Therefore, it is impossible for the power generator mentioned in the Chinese patent document to operate and generate power.

[0007] Summary of the Invention

[0008] An object of the present invention is to realize a moving rotating plate mechanism which enables the plates to move on a chain to which they are connected in a block filled with water by utilizing the gravitational force of water, and the energy to be continuously obtained without interruption by transferring the movement of the plates through the chain to a wheel and from the wheel to a generator.

[0026] An inventive moving plate mechanism (1) which enables energy to be obtained by utilizing the gravitational force of water comprises at least one body (2) through which water passes; at least one opening (3) which is located in the part of the body (2) where water enters; enables water to accumulate in order to increase the gravitational force of the water; and is of a wider structure compared to the body (2); a plurality of plates (4) which move inside the body (2) by the gravitational force of water and without coming into contact with the inner surface of the body (2); at least one chain (5) to which the plates (4) are connected at one end and which moves with the movement of the plate (4) and passes through the body (2); at least two wheels (6) which are located at the top and bottom part of the body (2) in such a way as to have a certain distance between them and the body (2) and which are actuated by the chain (5); a plurality of legs (7) which are located on the lower surface of the plates (4) and comprise at least one roller (8) thereon that allows the plate (4) to move properly inside the body (2) by contacting the inner surfaces of the body (2) during the movement of the plate (4) inside the body (2); and at least one sealing element (9) which is located on the upper surface of the plates (4) and provides sealing of the water contacting the plate (4) inside the body (2) by contacting the inner surface of the body (2).

[0027] The body (2) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) is of hollow structure with a square and / or rectangular cross-section and comprises an opening (3) with a wider structure at the end thereof where the water enters. The body (2) has a width through which the plates (4), together with the chain (5), can pass without coming into contact.

[0028] The opening (3) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) is of integral structure with the body (2) and is in such a shape as to enable the accumulation of water and the creation of more gravitational force than the body (2). By means of the opening (3), which is wider than the body (2), water is accumulated and the gravitational force to be applied to the plates (4) is increased. The width of the mouth (3) increases upwards starting from the point of junction with the body (2). By means of the opening (3) being wider than the body (2), the water enables the first movement to be given to the plates (4) to start by being accumulated in the opening (3) without overflowing. Water is delivered to the opening (3) with the help of a pipe (10). The pipe (10) is connected at one end to a pump (not shown in the figures) and enables the water in a tank (11) to be pumped into the opening (3).

[0029] The plate (4) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) comprises a cavity used for the connection of the chain (6). The upper surface of the plates (4) comprises the sealing element (9) for closing the said cavity and for providing a seal with the inner surface of the body (2). The lower surface of the plates (4) without the sealing element (9) have a plurality of legs (7). The plate (4) enables the chain (5) and the wheel (6) connected to the chain (5) to move by applying the gravitational force of water on the upper surface thereof. In this way, a moving rotating plate mechanism (1) is obtained.

[0030] The chain (5) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) is of two pieces and is connected to the plate (4) through two cavities and comprises a plurality of plates (4) thereon. The chain (5) is connected through the cavity located on the plate (4) and a cavity is provided on the plate (4) for each chain (5). The chain (5) moves the wheel (6) by the application of water force on the plate (4).

[0031] The wheel (6) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) rotates with the movement of the chain (5) by means of the plate (4). The wheel (6) transfers the rotational movement to a generator for obtaining energy from the movement. In this way, with the movement of the wheels (6), energy is obtained through the generator by using the gravity of the water. The wheels (6) are fixed to the opening (3) and to the body (2) by means of connection elements (12) in such a way that the body (2) is kept in between.

[0032] The leg (7) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) is located on the lower surface of the plate (4) without the sealing element (9) and is positioned perpendicular to the surface of the plate (4). The leg (7) is of six pieces on the lower surface of the plate (4) and comprises rollers (8) enabling the plate (4) to move stably inside the body (2) by its contact with the inner surface of the body (2) at the end part thereof not in contact with the plate (4).

[0033] The roller (8) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) is located at the end part of the legs (7) and limits the undesired movement of the plate (4) in all directions such as left-right, forward-backward, upward-downward by contacting the inner surface of the body (2) during the movement of the plate (4). In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the roller (8) prevents the friction of the plate (4) against the inner walls of the body (2) and enables it to perform a proper sliding movement. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the roller (8) is a bearing.

[0034] The sealing element (9) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) is located on the upper surface of the plate (4) in such a way as to cover the upper surface of the plate (4) together with the cavities to which the chain (5) is connected. In the preferred embodiment, the sealing element (9) is in the shape of a tray and enables some water to be accumulated when the water hits thereon. The sealing element (9) prevents the gravitational force of the water from decreasing by providing water sealing between the plates (4) moving inside the body (2) and enables the movement to be continuous. In this way, as long as there is water inlet from the opening (3), the plates (4) enable the wheel (6) to rotate and energy to be obtained by moving inside the body (2).

[0035] The pipe (10) included in the inventive moving plate mechanism (1) enables the water pumped from the tank (11) with the help of a pump to be delivered to the opening (3). On the other hand, the tank (11) is a container in which the water entering through the opening (3) and passing through the body (2) is stored and is pumped back into the opening (3) by means of the pipe (10) by using a pump.

[0036] An inventive moving plate mechanism (1) enables the chain (5) connected to the plates (4) to provide movement to the wheel (6) by means of the water pumped through the opening (3) by using the gravitational force of the water moving the plates (4) inside the body (2). The sealing element (9) located on the upper surface of the plates (4) prevents the force exerted by the water on the plate (4) from decreasing by providing water sealing between the plates (4) moving inside the body (2). On the other hand, the legs (7) on the bottom surface of the plate (4) having rollers (8) at the end thereof enable the plates (4) to move stably inside the body (2) by preventing the up and down movement of the plate (4) inside the body (2). With the stable movement of the plates (4), energy is obtained with the help of a generator connected to the wheel (6) rotating in a cycle in which water is continuously pumped into the opening (3). While a pump that enables water to be drawn from the tank (11) through the pipe (10) can be used to pump the water into the opening (3), the moving plate mechanism (1) enables the need for a pump to be eliminated by being positioned in places where water flows continuously, such as hydroelectric power plants (HPP). In this way, both with and without a pump, the dependence on fossil fuels is eliminated.

[0037] Within these basic concepts; it is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive “A Moving Plate Mechanism (1)”; the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.
