Use of isovaleric acid and prodrug thereof in preparation of drug for treating tumors

Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of an active ingredient in the preparation of a drug for treating tumor diseases. Specifically, it is found for the first time in the present invention that a small-molecule isovaleric acid and a prodrug thereof can inhibit DNA homologous recombination, thereby efficiently inhibiting tumor growth. Moreover, the isovaleric acid and the prodrug thereof can be used in combination with radiotherapy or chemotherapeutic drugs that induce DNA damage or inhibit DNA synthesis, producing a synergistic therapeutic effect on tumors.
