[0002] The invention relates to a music stand for attachment to a piano for the purpose of individually adjusting the position of the music stand to the piano player.

[0003] Pianos often come equipped with a music stand or music desk (the term music stand will be used consistently below; the term music desk will only be used if this corresponds to the cited state of the art), which is attached, for example, to the inside of the keyboard lid and can be folded out for playing after the lid is opened.

Claims

Patent claims 1. Music stand for mounting on the top of a piano body with a support (2) and a music holder (4) fixed to the support (2), characterized in that the support (2) comprises a first and a second support element (2A, 2B), wherein the support elements (2A, 2B) are adjustable relative to each other and wherein the first support element (2A) comprises a first fixing element (2C) for fixing the music stand (1) to the top of the piano body (A) and the second support element (2B) comprises a second fixing element (2D) for fixing the music holder (4).

2. Music stand according to claim 1, characterized in that the support elements (2A, 2B) which are adjustable relative to each other are essentially rectangular and can be fixed relative to each other by first fixing means (3) which engage through second openings (7) of one of the support elements (2A, 2B), wherein the second openings (7) are preferably provided in the form of longitudinal bores for stepless adjustment of the support elements (2A, 2B) relative to each other.

3. Music stand according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the music holder (4) has a plurality of first openings (6) which are provided to fix the music holder (4) to the second fixing element (2D) of the support element (2B) in a height-adjustable manner by means of second fixing means (5).

4. Music stand according to claim 3, characterized in that the first openings (6) are provided in pairs on one plane.

5. Music stand according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first fixing element (2C) provided for fixing the music stand (1) to the top of the piano body (A) is arranged substantially perpendicular to the first support element (2A) at its rear edge.

6. Music stand according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second fixing element (2D) provided on the second support element (2B) for fixing the music holder (4) is provided on the front of the second support element (2B) and forms an angle (a) between 90 and 150, preferably between 100 and 140 and in particular between 110 and 120 degrees with it.

7. Music stand according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sides of the support (2) facing the piano body (A) at least partially comprise a coating (8) to protect the piano body (A) from damage, wherein the coating (8) is in particular made of a damping material.

8. Music stand according to claim 7, characterized in that the damping material (8) is felt or a foam.

9. Music stand according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a second storage surface (4B) is provided at the upper edge of the music stand (4), wherein the storage surface (4B) preferably comprises a limiting element (4C) provided at the rear edge.

10. Music stand according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the music holder (104, 204) is designed to be foldable or pluggable and is divided into several sections (104B, 104C, 104D, 204B, 204C, 204D).

11. Music stand according to claim 10, characterized in that the music holder comprises a first and a second foldable or pluggable music holder element (104, 204).

12. Music stand according to claim 11, characterized in that the first music holder element (104) is provided in a height-adjustable manner on the second music holder element (204).

13. Music stand according to claim 11, characterized in that the first music holder element (104) and the second music holder element (204) each comprise exactly three sections, namely two lateral sections (104B, 104D, 204B, 204D) and a central section (104C, 204C).

14. Music stand according to claim 13, characterized in that a rail (104E, 204E) and a sliding element (104F, 204F) are provided on the upper sides of each of two adjacent sections of the first or second music stand element (104, 204), wherein the rail (104E, 204E) forms at least one section on each of the sections (104B, 104C, 104D, 204B, 204C, 204D) and wherein the rail (104E, 204E) is longer on one of the sections (104B, 104C, 104D, 204B, 204C, 204D) than on the other and wherein the sliding element (104F, 204F) is longer than the shorter rail section and is at most as long as the longer rail section.

15. Music stand according to claim 10, characterized in that at least the second support element (102) is provided to be foldable or pluggable and comprises several sections, preferably two to five sections, in particular three sections (102A, 102B, 102C).
