[0001] The present disclosure relates to a media processing device, and is suitable for application to a system used in the checkout counter or backroom of a retail store such as a supermarket or convenience store.
[0002] Conventionally, there has been proposed a medium processing device in which a storage cabinet is pulled out from the rear side of a housing, and banknotes as media are replenished or collected from the storage cabinet (see, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 4-84294 (Patent Document 1)).

Claims
1. A media processing device comprising: a housing with a front opening formed on the front side that connects the internal space with the outside; and a media processing unit that has a removable storage cabinet for storing media, is stored in the internal space of the housing, and is configured to be movable to the outside through the front opening of the housing; wherein the storage cabinet is removable from the media processing unit from the rear side of the housing, and is also removable from the media processing unit from the front side of the housing when the media processing unit has moved from the internal space to the outside.
2. The media processing device according to claim 1, wherein the housing has a rear opening formed on the rear side that connects the internal space with the outside, and when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the rear side of the housing, the storage cabinet can be removed from the rear opening with the media processing unit stored in the internal space.
3. A media processing device as described in claim 2, further comprising a moving mechanism that moves the storage cabinet relative to the media processing unit from a storage position, where the storage cabinet is connected to an external transport path, to a rear position that is rearward of the storage position, wherein when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the rear side of the housing, the storage cabinet moves from the storage position to the rear position while the media processing unit is stored in the housing, and then the storage cabinet can be removed from the rear side of the housing in an upward direction along the thickness direction of the media stored in the storage cabinet at the storage position, or in a direction inclined relative to the upward direction; and when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the front side of the housing, the media processing unit moves from the housing to the front side, and then the storage cabinet can be removed from the front side of the housing in the upward direction.
4. The media processing device according to claim 3, wherein the storage cabinet stores the media transported from a transport path connected to the front side of the storage cabinet.
5. The media processing device according to claim 1, wherein the storage compartment is removably mounted on the rear end of the media processing unit.
6. The media processing device according to claim 5, wherein the storage compartment is removably mounted on the upper end of the rear end of the media processing unit.
7. A media processing device as described in claim 2, further comprising a moving mechanism that moves the storage cabinet relative to the media processing unit from a storage position, where the storage cabinet is connected to an external transport path, to a rear position that is behind the storage position, and when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the rear side of the housing, the storage cabinet can be removed from the rear side of the housing after the storage cabinet has moved from the storage position to the rear position while the media processing unit is stored in the housing.
8. A media processing device as described in claim 7, wherein when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the rear side of the housing, the storage cabinet rotates to the rear side around an axis provided at the bottom while the media processing unit is stored in the housing, and then the storage cabinet can be removed from the rear side of the housing.
9. A media processing device as described in claim 8, wherein when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the rear side of the housing, the storage cabinet rotates to the rear side around an axis provided at the bottom while the media processing unit is stored in the housing, and then the storage cabinet can be removed from the rear side of the housing in a direction inclined relative to the vertical direction.
10. A media processing device as described in claim 7, wherein when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the rear side of the housing, the storage cabinet slides rearward relative to the media processing unit while the media processing unit is stored in the housing, and then the storage cabinet can be removed from the rear side of the housing.
11. A media processing device as described in claim 1, further comprising a front door that can open and close the front opening of the housing, and the media processing unit is configured to be stored in the housing and move to the front side when the front opening of the housing is opened from a state in which the front opening of the housing is closed by the front door.
12. The media processing device according to any one of claims 1 to 11, wherein the storage cabinet is covered with a metal safe housing.
13. A media processing device as described in claim 2, further comprising a safe housing that houses the storage cabinet in its internal space and has a safe housing door that can open and close an opening that connects the internal space with the outside, wherein when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the rear side of the housing, the safe housing door is opened and the storage cabinet can be removed from the rear side while the media processing unit is stored in the housing, and when the storage cabinet is removed from the media processing unit from the front side of the housing, the media processing unit moves from the housing to the front side before the safe housing door is opened and the storage cabinet can be removed from the front side of the housing.
