[0009] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Embodiment 1. Fig. 1 is a diagram showing an example configuration of a display control device 1 according to embodiment 1. As shown in Fig. 1, the display control device 1 is connected to an editing device 2, a display device 3, an elevator system 10, and a sensor 20 via wired or wireless connections. The display control device 1, the editing device 2, and the display device 3 constitute a display control system 1000.

[0010] The display control device 1 acquires information about the operation status of elevators in a building (hereinafter referred to as "elevator operation status information") from the elevator system 10, and displays the acquired elevator operation status information on the display device 3. The building includes various buildings such as commercial facilities such as stores, offices, hotels, and shopping malls, industrial facilities such as factories and logistics centers, and public facilities such as hospitals, libraries, and theaters. In the following first embodiment, the building is assumed to be a commercial facility, as an example.

[0011] The display device 3 is assumed to be, for example, a signage device. Note that while only one display device 3 is illustrated in FIG. 1 , this is merely an example, and multiple display devices 3 may be installed in appropriate locations within a building, such as elevator halls, corridors, user rooms, tenant rooms, management offices, and personal devices such as smartphones. When multiple display devices 3 are installed, the installation locations or screen sizes of the multiple display devices 3 may differ from one another. Furthermore, the installation location of the display device 3 may be changed as appropriate. In the following first embodiment, as an example, it is assumed that the display device 3 is installed in an elevator hall within a building.

[0012] Information about the display devices 3 installed in the building (hereinafter referred to as "device information") is generated in advance by a user and stored in a storage unit (not shown). The storage unit (not shown) is configured, for example, by a memory, a hard disk (HDD), or a semiconductor storage device (SSD), and is provided in a location that can be referenced by the display control device 1. The device information associates, for example, information (such as an ID) that can identify the display device 3, information indicating the installation location of the display device 3 in the building (such as a floor or elevator hall), and the screen size of the display device 3.

[0013] When the display device 3 is installed in an elevator hall in a building, the display device 3 may be associated with an elevator. This association is performed, for example, when the user installs the display device 3 in the elevator hall. In the device information, the user associates information identifying the display device 3 (such as an ID) with information identifying the elevator (such as elevator number information). In the first embodiment, an elevator associated with the display device 3 is referred to as the "specific elevator number" of the display device 3. For example, assume that three elevators (a first elevator, a second elevator, and a third elevator) are installed side by side in an elevator hall, and only one display device 3 is installed in the elevator hall. Assume that the display device 3 is installed directly in front of the second elevator. In the first embodiment, "directly in front" does not necessarily mean strictly in front, but also includes approximately in front. In this case, a representative elevator among the three elevators may be designated as the specific elevator number of the display device 3. For example, if the display device 3 is installed in front of the second elevator, the second elevator in front of the display device 3 among the three elevators is regarded as the specific elevator for the display device 3. Also, for example, each elevator may be regarded as a specific elevator for the display device 3.

[0014] The elevator system 10 is assumed to be a known elevator system that manages elevator operation. Here, a brief overview of an example of the elevator system 10 will be described. FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an example configuration of the elevator system 10. As shown in FIG. 2, the elevator system 10 includes, for example, a group management control device 101, elevator A control devices 102A, B control devices 102B, and C control devices 102C, which are provided for elevators A 103A, B 103B, and C 103C, respectively, and a destination floor registration device 104. The elevators A 103A, B 103B, and C 103C are also collectively referred to as simply "elevators." The elevator A control devices 102A, B control devices 102B, and C control devices 102C are also collectively referred to as simply "elevator control devices." Note that while FIG. 2 shows only three elevators, this is merely an example. The number of elevators installed in a building may be one, two, or four or more.

[0015] Each elevator has a car, a hoist (motor), a counterweight, a control unit, etc. (none of which are shown). A destination floor registration device 104 registers the destination floors of the elevators. Based on the operation information of each elevator, the group management control device 101 selects an elevator (assigned elevator) from among the multiple elevators to which the destination floor registered by the destination floor registration device 104 should be assigned, and assigns the destination floor to the selected assigned elevator. The operation information of each elevator includes, for example, information indicating the car status of each elevator (including the car's position, running direction, door open / close status, car movement speed, load, etc.), the predicted waiting time (the time until the assigned elevator arrives at the departure floor), the predicted service completion time (the time until the assigned elevator arrives at the destination floor), the number of scheduled stops of the car (the number of scheduled stops of the elevator and the floors at which the elevator stops until the service is completed), etc. The group management control device 101 transmits a control signal to the elevator control device that controls the assigned elevator, causing the elevator control device to control the running of the assigned elevator from the installation floor (departure floor) of the destination floor registration device 104 to the destination floor. The elevator control device controls the corresponding elevator in accordance with the control signal from the group management control device 101. Specifically, the elevator control device controls the operation of the hoist (motor) based on the control signal, thereby controlling the raising, lowering, stopping, etc. of the car. Furthermore, each elevator control device 102 detects the car status of the corresponding elevator, including the position, running direction, door open / close status, load, etc., and outputs a car status signal including information indicating the detected car status to the group management control device 101.

[0016] In the elevator system 10, the group management control device 101 collects operation information for each elevator, as described above. The elevator system 10 may further include a monitoring device (not shown) that monitors the status of each elevator hall (hereinafter referred to as "hall status") or the status inside each car (hereinafter referred to as "car status"). The hall status includes, for example, the number of people waiting at the elevator hall on each floor in the building, the attributes of people waiting at the hall, and whether a destination floor has been registered at the hall. The car status includes, for example, the car's position, the car's travel direction, the floor at which the car is scheduled to stop, the number of passengers in the car, and the attributes of the passengers in the car. The monitoring device monitors the status of each elevator hall and the status inside each car based on, for example, images captured by a camera (not shown) installed at the elevator hall or inside the car. The elevator system 10 outputs operation information of each elevator, and status information indicating the hall status of each elevator hall and the status inside each car, as elevator operation status information to the display control device 1. The display control device 1 displays the elevator operation status information acquired from the elevator system 10 on the display device 3.

[0017] In the first embodiment, when the display control device 1 displays elevator operation status information on the display device 3, the display control device 1 displays the elevator operation status information in a screen display format set based on items (hereinafter referred to as "specified items") related to the specifications or operation of the building for which the elevator operation status information is to be displayed on the display device 3, as specified by the user. In the first embodiment, the "display format" includes layout or design. The layout includes the number of display elements to be displayed on the display device 3 or the arrangement of the display elements. The design includes the size, color, or font of the display elements to be displayed on the display device 3.

[0018] The user operates an input device (not shown) such as a mouse, keyboard, or touch panel display to call up a screen (hereinafter referred to as the "item input screen") for inputting designated items from the editing device 2, and causes the item input screen to be displayed on a display unit (not shown) provided in the editing device 2. The user then uses the operation unit to input designated items from the item input screen displayed on the display unit. The editing device 2 accepts the designated items input by the user, and outputs information indicating the designated items (hereinafter referred to as the "designated information") to the display control device 1. The display control device 1 acquires the designated information from the editing device 2, and causes the display device 3 to display elevator operation status information in a screen display format set based on the designated items indicated by the designated information.

[0019] The editing device 2 is assumed to be, for example, a personal computer (PC) or a mobile terminal such as a smartphone operated by a user. The user is, for example, a building manager (management company), owner (developer), tenant, facility user, elevator management company, or elevator maintenance manager. In the following first embodiment, as an example, it is assumed that the user is a person in charge of a building management company or a developer.

[0020] FIG. 3 illustrates an example of an item input screen that a user can call up to input designated items in the first embodiment. The user specifies designated items from the item input screen as shown in FIG. 3 . Designated items that can be input from the item input screen, i.e., designated items that can be set by the user, include, for example, building specification items such as the number of floors in the building, floor height, number of elevators, elevator stop floors, the distribution of the stop floors, priority elevator users, and elevator user attributes. Note that this is merely an example, and the designated items may be items other than those described above. For example, the designated items may include an item for specifying a specific elevator, such as elevator number 0 to elevator number △, or an item for specifying a specific floor, such as floor □ to floor ●. Furthermore, for example, the designated items may include items related to the display device 3 that displays elevator operation status information, such as the location where the display device 3 is set up. Furthermore, for example, the designated items are not limited to items related to building specifications, including elevator specifications, but may also be items related to building operation. For example, the specified items may include items that indicate that an operation change will be made and specify the floor, such as "an event (special event) is being held" on the "20th floor" or "cleaning is being carried out" on the "7th to 11th floors." The editing device 2 is capable of providing an input screen on which items related to the specifications or operation of the building that can be specified as specified items can be entered.

[0021] For example, when a building is completed, a user operates the editing device 2 and inputs specified items from an item input screen such as that shown in FIG. 3 in accordance with the specifications or operation of the completed building. The display control device 1 displays elevator operation status information in a screen display format set based on the input specified items. Furthermore, if there are changes to the building's specifications or operation after the building begins operation, such as discontinuing use of a certain elevator, removing a certain display device 3, or holding an event, maintenance inspection, or large-scale cleaning within the building, the user operates the editing device 2 as part of building management operations and inputs specified items from the item input screen such as that shown in FIG. 3 in accordance with the changed building specifications or operation. The display control device 1 displays the elevator operation status information in a screen display format set based on the input specified items in accordance with the changed building specifications or operation. In this way, the user can edit the screen display format for displaying elevator operation status information on the display device 3 by inputting specified items in accordance with the building's specifications or operation at an appropriate time. The display control device 1 changes the display format of the screen of the display device 3 in accordance with the specified items designated by the user, and displays the elevator operation status information in the changed display format. In the first embodiment, the process performed by the display control device 1 to display the elevator operation status information in the display format set on the screen based on the specified items input by the user is referred to as a "first display control process." Details of the first display control process will be described later, along with a configuration example of the display control device 1.

[0022] Furthermore, when the display control device 1 causes the display device 3 to display the elevator operation status information, the display control device 1 adjusts the display format of the screen on which the elevator operation status information is displayed on the display device 3 or the display format of the elevator operation status information as appropriate, in accordance with the current situation within the building. Specifically, the display control device 1 acquires information related to the current situation within the building (hereinafter referred to as "current situation information"), and adjusts the display format of the screen on which the elevator operation status information is displayed on the display device 3 or the display format of the elevator operation status information, based on the acquired current situation information. In the first embodiment, the process performed by the display control device 1 to adjust the display format of the screen on which the elevator operation status information is displayed on the display device 3 or the display format of the elevator operation status information, based on the current situation information, is referred to as "second display control process." Details of the second display control process will be described later, along with a configuration example of the display control device 1.

[0023] The sensors 20 include sensors such as surveillance cameras installed in buildings, cameras installed in elevator halls or cars, and beacons or security devices installed in buildings. The display control device 1 acquires, for example, sensor information detected by the sensors 20 as current situation information. Note that while only one sensor 20 is illustrated in FIG. 1 , this is merely an example. A plurality of sensors 20 may be connected to the display control device 1.

[0024] An example configuration of a display control device 1 according to the first embodiment will be described. The display control device 1 is mounted on, for example, a server (not shown). As shown in FIG. 1 , the display control device 1 includes a designated information acquisition unit 11, a display format setting unit 12, an operation status information acquisition unit 13, a display control unit 14, a current status information acquisition unit 15, and a display format adjustment unit 16. The designated information acquisition unit 11, the display format setting unit 12, the operation status information acquisition unit 13, and the display control unit 14 basically function in a "first display control process." The current status information acquisition unit 15 and the display format adjustment unit 16 basically function in a "second display control process."

[0025] The designated information acquisition unit 11 acquires designated information from the editing device 2. The designated information acquisition unit 11 outputs the acquired designated information to the display form setting unit 12.

[0026] The display mode setting unit 12 sets the display mode of the screen when the elevator operation status information is displayed on the display device 3, based on the specified information acquired by the specified information acquiring unit 11. More specifically, the display mode setting unit 12 sets the display mode of the screen when the elevator operation status information is displayed on the display device 3, based on the specified information acquired by the specified information acquiring unit 11 and the display mode setting conditions. In the first embodiment, the display mode setting conditions are conditions that define the display mode of the screen when the elevator operation status information is displayed. The display mode setting conditions set conditions for determining the display mode of the screen in which the elevator operation status information is displayed when a specified item is specified. The display mode setting conditions are set in advance, for example, by a developer or the like, and information indicating the display mode setting conditions (hereinafter referred to as "display mode setting condition information") is stored in a storage unit (not shown). Note that this is merely an example, and the display mode setting conditions may be set by a user, for example. For example, a user may operate the editing device 2 to call up a screen for setting display mode setting conditions, input the display mode setting conditions from the screen, and a control unit (not shown) of the editing device 2 may generate display mode setting condition information indicating the input display mode setting conditions and store the information in a storage unit (not shown). Also, a developer or a user may update the display mode setting conditions as needed.

[0027] The display mode setting unit 12 sets the display mode of the screen when displaying elevator operation status information based on, for example, the basic display mode of the screen (hereinafter referred to as the "basic display mode"), the specified information, and the display mode setting conditions. Here, as an example, the basic display mode of the screen is a display mode in which a floor display area is set on the left edge of the screen and an elevator display area is set to the right of the floor display area, and in the floor display area, rows corresponding to each floor are displayed from lower to higher floors, and in the elevator display area, columns corresponding to each elevator shaft are displayed from left to right, starting with the elevator (car) with the smallest assigned number. In the first embodiment, it is assumed that one basic display mode of the screen is set in advance, as described above, but this is merely an example. For example, several screen display form candidate templates that are used as candidates for the basic display form of a screen may be prepared in advance, and the user may operate the editing device 2 to call up a screen for specifying the basic display form of a screen from among the screen display form candidate templates, and specify the display form candidate to be used as the basic display form of the screen from the called up screen. In this case, for example, information indicating the screen display form candidates (hereinafter referred to as "screen display form candidate information") may be stored in a storage unit (not shown), and the display form setting unit 12 may select a template for the screen display form specified by the user from the screen display form candidate information and set the display form of the selected template as the basic display form of the screen. Note that the display form setting unit 12 may acquire information indicating the screen display form specified by the user from the editing device 2 via the designation information acquisition unit 11.

[0028] The display mode setting conditions include, for example, the following conditions <Setting condition (1)> to <Setting condition (11)>, depending on the specified item.

[0029] <Examples of Setting Conditions for the Number of Elevators> <Setting Condition (1)> When the number of elevators is specified as a specified item, for display columns corresponding to elevator shafts, display columns corresponding to the elevator shafts of the specified number of elevators are displayed. In this case, if the specified number is within a preset threshold (hereinafter referred to as the "number determination threshold"), display columns corresponding to the elevator shafts of the specified number of elevators are displayed. If the specified number exceeds the number determination threshold, display columns corresponding to the elevator shafts of two elevators on each side of a specific elevator are displayed.

[0030] <Example of setting conditions for the number of floors of a building> <Setting condition (2)> When the number of floors of a building is specified as a specified item, display lines corresponding to the specified number of floors are displayed. If the specified number of floors is within a set maximum value (hereinafter referred to as "maximum number of display floors"), display lines corresponding to the floors of all specified floors are displayed. If the specified number of floors exceeds the maximum number of display floors, display lines corresponding to the floors of only the four floors above and below the floor on which the display device 3 is installed are displayed.

[0031] <Examples of Setting Conditions for Elevator Stop Floors> <Setting Condition (3)> When elevator stop floors are specified as the specified item, the display row corresponding to the floor at which the elevator stops is displayed in a different color for each floor at which the elevator stops. Also, for floors at which the elevator does not stop, if the floors at which the elevator does not stop are common to all elevators, the display row corresponding to the floor at which the elevator does not stop is displayed with a very small row height. The extent to which the row height is reduced depends on the row reduction conditions. If the floors at which the elevator does not stop differ depending on the elevator, the row corresponding to the elevator shaft for the floor at which the elevator does not stop is displayed in gray.

[0032] The line reduction condition in the above-mentioned <Setting condition (3)> is set to, for example, "one-third the height of the display line corresponding to the floor where the floor stops." The line reduction condition is set together with the display form setting condition, and information indicating the line reduction condition (hereinafter referred to as "line reduction condition information") is stored in a storage unit (not shown) together with the display form setting condition information.

[0033] <Example of Setting Condition for Specific Elevator> <Setting Condition (4)> When a specific elevator is designated as a designated item, only the display columns corresponding to the elevator shafts of the designated specific elevator are displayed.

[0034] <Example of Setting Condition for Specific Floor> <Setting Condition (5)> When a specific floor is designated as a designated item, only the display lines corresponding to the floor of the designated specific floor are displayed.

[0035] <Examples of setting conditions for signage display size> <Setting condition (6)> If a specification item is made that the display elements may be limited for display devices 3 with small display sizes, then if the display size is small (for example, below a set threshold) and there are many elevators (for example, above a set threshold), or if the display size is small and there are many floors (for example, above a set threshold), then for that display device 3, the display will be limited to display columns corresponding to the elevator shaft or display rows corresponding to the floors on the floor on which the display device 3 is set and four floors above and below it.

[0036] <Examples of Setting Conditions for Signage Installation Location> <Setting Condition (7)> If it is specified as a specification item that display elements may be limited depending on the installation location of the display device 3, display columns corresponding to elevator shafts or display rows corresponding to floors are limited and displayed depending on the installation location of the display device 3. When the display device 3 is installed in that installation location, the extent to which display columns corresponding to elevator shafts or display rows corresponding to floors are limited depends on the installation location conditions.

[0037] The installation location condition in the above-mentioned <Setting condition (7)> includes, for example, the following condition: "When the display device 3 is installed at an elevator hall and the number of elevators installed at the elevator hall exceeds 10, the display row corresponding to the elevator shaft shall be limited to the display row corresponding to the elevator shaft for 10 elevators." The installation location condition is set together with the display form setting condition, and information indicating the installation location condition (hereinafter referred to as "installation location condition information") is stored in a storage unit (not shown) together with the display form setting condition information.

[0038] <Example of setting conditions for an event on a specific floor> <Setting condition (8)> When an event to be held on a specific floor is specified as a setting item, the height of the display line corresponding to the floor of the specified specific floor is made larger than the height of the display line corresponding to the floor of other floors.

[0039] <Examples of setting conditions for passing or stopping for each elevator> <Setting condition (9)> When a passing floor or a stopping floor for each elevator is specified as a specified item, for each elevator, the height of the display column corresponding to the elevator hoistway corresponding to the passing floor is displayed smaller for the passing floors of the elevator, and the height of the display column corresponding to the elevator hoistway corresponding to the stopping floor for the elevator is displayed larger than the height of the display column corresponding to the elevator hoistway corresponding to the passing floor.

[0040] <Example of Setting Conditions Based on Operation Type of Each Elevator> <Setting Condition (10)> When the operation type of each elevator is specified as a specified item, the representation of the display column corresponding to the hoistway is changed for each elevator according to the operation type of the elevator. How the representation of the display column corresponding to the hoistway of each elevator operation type is changed depends on the type determination conditions.

[0041] The type determination conditions in the above-mentioned <Setting condition (10)> include, for example, the condition that "for display columns corresponding to the hoistways of express elevators, display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are not displayed," the condition that "for display columns corresponding to the hoistways of express elevators, display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are not displayed, and display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are displayed in a compact manner," and the condition that "for display columns corresponding to the hoistways of express elevators, display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are not displayed, and display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are displayed in a compact manner." The following conditions are set: "Alternately, for columns, do not display display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop, and display narrowed display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop," or "After performing a display that does not display display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop, for display columns corresponding to hoistways of the express elevator, do not display display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop, and display narrowed display columns corresponding to hoistways corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop." The type determination conditions are set together with the display form setting conditions, and information indicating the type determination conditions (hereinafter referred to as "type determination condition information") is stored in a storage unit (not shown) together with the display form setting condition information.

[0042] <Examples of Setting Conditions Based on User Attributes> <Setting Condition (11)> When an elevator car (car number) or a floor with an elevator hall that can be used by a wheelchair user, a stroller user, or a VIP (Very Important Person) is specified as a specified item, the specified car is enlarged to highlight it, or the width of the display area corresponding to the hall is increased to highlight it. Note that in the first embodiment, VIP refers to a specific user that is preset in a commercial facility or the like.

[0043] The above-described display mode setting conditions are merely examples, and display mode setting conditions corresponding to all designation items that can be designated by the user can be set.

[0044] The display form setting unit 12 sets the display form of the screen when displaying elevator operation status information on the display device 3 based on the specified information acquired by the specified information acquisition unit 11 and the display form setting conditions, and then outputs information indicating the set display form of the screen (hereinafter referred to as ``set display form information'') to the display control unit 14.

[0045] The operation status information acquisition unit 13 acquires elevator operation status information from the elevator system 10. The operation status information acquisition unit 13 may acquire captured images as sensor information from a camera serving as a sensor 20 installed at an elevator hall or inside the car, and acquire status information indicating the hall status at each elevator hall and the status inside each car as elevator operation status information based on the acquired captured images. The operation status information acquisition unit 13 can determine the hall status or the status inside the car by performing known image recognition processing on the captured images acquired by the camera. The operation status information acquisition unit 13 outputs the acquired elevator operation status information to the display control unit 14.

[0046] The display control unit 14 causes the display device 3 to display the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in the display format set by the display format setting unit 12. The type of elevator operation status indicated by the elevator operation status information and the display format in which the display control unit 14 displays it are determined in advance, for example, by a developer or the like. Note that this is merely an example. For example, a user may set conditions (hereinafter referred to as "operation status display conditions") for the type of elevator operation status indicated by the elevator operation status information and the display format in which the elevator operation status information is displayed, and the display control unit 14 may display the elevator operation status information in a display format based on the operation status display conditions set by the user. The operation status display conditions define the shape, size, color, etc. of display elements displayed as display elements indicating the operation status, such as an icon indicating the number of people waiting at a landing, an icon indicating the number of passengers in the car, the direction of travel of the elevator car, and the travel speed of the elevator car.

[0047] Here, an example of the screen of the display device 3 on which the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on the screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12 will be described with reference to some drawings. In the following example, it is assumed that the editing device 2 displays an item input screen such as that shown in Fig. 3, and the user inputs designated items from the item input screen.

[0048] FIG. 4 is a diagram showing an example of the screen of the display device 3 in which the display control unit 14 displays elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12 in the first embodiment. It is assumed that the display mode setting conditions include the above-mentioned <Setting Condition (1)> to <Setting Condition (3)>. Here, the threshold value for determining the number of elevators in <Setting Condition (1)> is set to "10." Furthermore, the maximum display floor number in <Setting Condition (2)> is set to "30." For example, it is assumed that the building for which the elevator operation status information is to be displayed is a 19-story building with 4 basement floors and 15 aboveground floors, with one elevator hall on each floor and seven elevators installed side by side. It is also assumed that one display device 3 is installed at each elevator hall on each floor. Then, let us say that the user specifies from the editing device 2 that the number of floors in the building is "19 floors," the number of elevators is "7," and the floors at which the elevators stop are "No. 1 stops on floors B1 to 15, and Nos. 2 to 7 stop on floors B4 to 15."

[0049] In this case, the specified information acquisition unit 11 acquires specified information specifying the number of floors in the building as "19 floors," the number of elevators as "7," and the floors at which the elevators will stop as "No. 1 stops at floors B1 to 15, and Nos. 2 to 7 stop at floors B4 to 15." The display format setting unit 12 then compares the specified information with <Setting condition (1)>, and because the number of elevators "7" is within the elevator number determination threshold, sets the display format of the screen to display a display column equivalent to the hoistways of seven elevators. The display format setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <Setting condition (2)>, and because the number of floors in the building "19 floors" is within the maximum number of display floors, sets the display format of the screen to display a display row equivalent to 19 floors. Furthermore, the display mode setting unit 12 compares the specified information with the <setting condition (3)>, and because elevator No. 1 will not stop on floors B1 to B3, sets the display mode of the screen to gray the color of the rows in the display column showing the elevator shaft of elevator No. 1 for floors B1 to B3 where elevator No. 1 will not stop. As a result, the display control unit 14 will display the elevator operation status information on a screen with a display mode such as that shown in Fig. 4, for example.

[0050] As shown in Figure 4, for example, the row from floors B1 to B3 (shown as "F3" in Figure 4) in the display column showing the elevator shaft for Unit 1 (shown as "H" in Figure 4) is displayed in gray.

[0051] In FIG. 4 , icons such as "F1," "F2," "F4," "F5," and "F6" indicate elevator operation status based on elevator operation status information. For example, when a destination floor is registered at an elevator hall, i.e., when a car up / down call is performed, the display control unit 14 displays the hall status with an arrow as shown in "F1." For example, when there are people waiting for an elevator at the elevator hall, the display control unit 14 displays the number of people waiting with a human-shaped icon as shown in "F2." For example, the display control unit 14 may increase the number of human-shaped icons depending on the number of people. Furthermore, the display control unit 14 may, for example, use different colors or different icon shapes to represent different people's attributes. For example, when a person waiting for an elevator is using a wheelchair or a stroller, the display control unit 14 may display a display that highlights the person. For example, the display control unit 14 may display a "circle" icon at the floor where the elevator is scheduled to stop in the display column indicating each elevator shaft as shown in "F4." For example, the display control unit 14 may use different icon shapes depending on whether the stop is a floor registered at the elevator hall or a floor registered inside the car. For example, when an elevator is moving upward or downward, the display control unit 14 may display an arrow indicating the direction of elevator movement in the display column indicating each elevator shaft, as shown in "F5." For example, when a person is inside the car, the display control unit 14 may display a human-shaped icon inside the car, as shown in "F6." In this case, the display control unit 14 may change the number of human-shaped icons displayed depending on the number of people inside the car, or may change the color of the icon depending on the person's attributes. Note that, for convenience, color differences are not shown in FIG. 4. As described above, the display format of these elevator operation statuses is determined in advance by a developer or the like, or according to operation status display conditions set by a user.

[0052] 5 is a diagram showing another example of the screen of the display device 3 in which the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12 in the first embodiment. It is assumed that the display mode setting conditions include the above-mentioned <Setting condition (1)> to <Setting condition (3)>. Here, the threshold value for determining the number of elevators in <Setting condition (1)> is set to "5." Furthermore, the maximum display floor value in <Setting condition (2)> is set to "30." For example, it is assumed that the building for which the elevator operation status information is to be displayed is a 19-story building with 4 basement floors and 15 aboveground floors, with each floor having one elevator hall and seven elevators installed side by side. Furthermore, two display devices 3 are installed at the elevator hall on the 13th floor: one display device 3 (referred to as the first display device) in front of elevator No. 3 and one display device 3 (referred to as the second display device) in front of elevator No. 5, and the specific elevator number of the first display device is No. 3, and the specific elevator number of the second display device is No. 5. Then, it is assumed that a user specifies from the editing device 2 that the number of floors of the building is "19 floors," the number of elevators is "7," and the elevator stopping floors are "Elevator No. 1 is on floors B1 to 15, and Elevators No. 2 to 7 are on floors B4 to 15."

[0053] In this case, the specified information acquisition unit 11 acquires specified information specifying that the number of floors in the building is "19 floors," the number of elevators is "7," and the elevator stops are "Elevator No. 1 stops on floors B1 to 15, and Elevators Nos. 2 to 7 stop on floors B4 to 15." The display format setting unit 12 then compares the specified information with <Setting condition (1)> and determines that the number of elevators "7" exceeds the number determination threshold, so sets the display format of the screen on the first display device to display the display sequence indicating the elevator shafts of the specific elevator on the first display device, i.e., two elevators on each side of Elevator No. 3. The display format setting unit 12 also sets the display format of the screen on the second display device to display the display sequence indicating the elevator shafts of the specific elevator on the second display device, i.e., two elevators on each side of Elevator No. 5. The display mode setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <setting condition (2)>, and since the number of floors in the building, "19th floor," is within the maximum number of display floors, sets the display mode of the screen to display display rows indicating 19 floors. The display mode setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <setting condition (3)>, and since only the first elevator will not stop on floors B1 to B3, sets the display mode of the screen to change the color of the rows indicating the elevator shafts of floors B1 to B3 that will not stop in the display column indicating the elevator shaft of the first elevator to gray.

[0054] As a result, the display control unit 14 displays elevator operation status information on a screen with a display format such as that shown in FIG. 5. Note that FIG. 5 is an example of a screen of the first display device at the elevator hall on the 13th floor. The first display device shown in FIG. 5 displays a display sequence corresponding to the elevator shafts of two elevators on each side of elevator No. 3, i.e., five elevators No. 1 to No. 5, but does not display a display sequence corresponding to the elevator shafts of elevators No. 6 to No. 7. The display control unit 14 can identify the specific elevator of the display device 3 based on device information stored in a memory unit (not shown). Note that the display control unit 14 can also identify which display device 3 is installed at which elevator hall on which floor based on the device information. The elevator operation status of elevators No. 6 to No. 7 is displayed on the second display device at the elevator hall on the 13th floor. In this way, the display control device 1 can, for example, limit the elevators whose operation status is displayed on each of multiple display devices 3 installed at an elevator hall, and display the operation status of all elevators separately on the multiple display devices 3.

[0055] FIG. 6 is a diagram showing another example of the screen of the display device 3 in which the display control unit 14 displays elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12 in the first embodiment. It is assumed that the display mode setting conditions include the above-mentioned <Setting Condition (1)> to <Setting Condition (3)>. Here, the threshold value for determining the number of elevators in <Setting Condition (1)> is set to "10." Furthermore, the maximum display floor value in <Setting Condition (2)> is set to "15." For example, it is assumed that the building for which the elevator operation status information is to be displayed is a 19-story building with 4 basement floors and 15 aboveground floors, with one elevator hall on each floor and seven elevators installed side by side.

[0056] In this case, the specified information acquisition unit 11 acquires specified information specifying that the number of floors in the building is "19 floors," the number of elevators is "7," and the elevator stops are "Elevator No. 1 stops on floors B1 to 15, and Elevators Nos. 2 to 7 stop on floors B4 to 15." The display format setting unit 12 then compares the specified information with <Setting condition (1)>, and because the number of elevators "7" is within the elevator number determination threshold, sets the display format of the screen to display display rows indicating the hoistways of seven elevators. The display format setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <Setting condition (2)>, and because the number of floors in the building is "19 floors" and exceeds the maximum number of display floors, sets the display format of the screen to display display rows indicating floors only for four floors above and below the floor on which the display device 3 is installed. In addition, the display format setting unit 12 compares the specified information with the <setting condition (3)>, and since only the first elevator will not stop on floors B1 to B3, sets the display format of the screen to change the color of the rows in the display column showing the elevator shaft of the first elevator to gray, indicating the elevator shafts on floors B1 to B3 that will not stop there.

[0057] As a result, the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information on a screen with a display format as shown in FIG. 6 . Note that FIG. 6 illustrates an example screen of the display device 3 installed at the elevator hall on the 8th floor. As shown in FIG. 6 , the display rows indicating floors B1 to B3 and floors 13 to 15 are not displayed on the display device 3. As described above, the display format is set to gray out the rows of the elevator shafts for floors B1 to B3 that do not stop in the display column indicating the elevator shaft of elevator No. 1. However, since the rows indicating the elevator shafts for floors B1 to B3 are not displayed, the display control device 1 does not perform display control to gray out the rows of the elevator shafts for floors B1 to B3. In the first embodiment, for example, it is assumed that the priority order of the display formats set by the display format setting unit 12, which the display control unit 14 will prioritize, is determined. Here, for example, the display control unit 14 prioritizes display control based on the display form of the screen for the entire display row or display column over display control based on the display form of the screen for some of the display rows or some of the display columns.

[0058] FIG. 7 is a diagram showing another example of the screen of the display device 3 in which the display control unit 14 displays elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12 in the first embodiment. It is assumed that the display mode setting conditions include the above-mentioned <Setting Condition (1)> to <Setting Condition (3)>. Here, the threshold value for determining the number of elevators in <Setting Condition (1)> is set to "10." Furthermore, the maximum display floor value in <Setting Condition (2)> is set to "30." For example, it is assumed that the building for which the elevator operation status information is to be displayed is a 19-story building with 4 basement floors and 15 aboveground floors, with one elevator hall on each floor and seven elevators installed side by side. It is also assumed that one display device 3 is installed at each elevator hall on each floor. Then, let us say that the user specifies from editing device 2 that the number of floors in the building is "19 floors," the number of elevators is "7," and the floors at which the elevators stop are "No. 1 stops on floors B1 to B7 and floors 10 to B15, and Nos. 2 to 7 stops on floors B4 to B7 and floors 10 to B15."

[0059] In this case, the specified information acquisition unit 11 acquires specified information specifying the number of floors in the building ("19 floors"), the number of elevators ("7"), and the floors the elevators will stop ("No. 1" stops on floors B1 to B7 and floors 10 to B15, and Nos. 2 to 7 stop on floors B4 to B7 and floors 10 to B15." The display format setting unit 12 then compares the specified information with <Setting condition (1)>, and because the number of elevators ("7") is within the elevator number determination threshold, sets the display format of the screen to display display columns indicating the hoistways for seven elevators. The display format setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <Setting condition (2)>, and because the number of floors in the building ("19 floors") is within the maximum number of display floors, sets the display format of the screen to display display rows indicating 19 floors. The display mode setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with the setting condition (3). Since only elevator No. 1 does not stop on floors B1 to B3, the display mode setting unit 12 sets the display mode of the screen to gray the rows of the elevator shafts for floors B1 to B3 that elevator No. 1 does not stop on. Furthermore, since none of the elevators stop on floors 8 to 9, the display mode setting unit 12 sets the display mode of the screen to display the rows representing floors 8 to 9 with a very small line height. As a result, the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information on a screen with a display mode such as that shown in FIG. 7, for example. As shown in FIG. 7, on the display device 3, the display rows representing floors 8 to 9 are displayed much smaller than the display rows representing the other floors.

[0060] FIG. 8 is a diagram showing another example of the screen of the display device 3 in which the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12 in the first embodiment. It is assumed that the display mode setting conditions include the above-mentioned <Setting Condition (1)> to <Setting Condition (2)> and <Setting Condition (9)>. Here, the threshold value for determining the number of elevators in <Setting Condition (1)> is set to "5." Furthermore, the maximum display floor value in <Setting Condition (2)> is set to "30." For example, it is assumed that the building for which the elevator operation status information is to be displayed is a 19-story building with four basement floors and 15 aboveground floors, with one elevator hall on each floor and seven elevators installed side by side. Furthermore, at the elevator hall on the 13th floor, two display devices 3 are installed: one display device 3 (referred to as the first display device) in front of elevator No. 3 and one display device 3 (referred to as the second display device) in front of elevator No. 5, and the specific elevator number of the first display device is No. 3, and the specific elevator number of the second display device is No. 5. Then, suppose that a user specifies from the editing device 2 that the number of floors in the building is "19 floors," the number of elevators is "7," and that "Elevators No. 1 and No. 2 will pass through floors 2 to 12."

[0061] In this case, the specified information acquisition unit 11 acquires specified information specifying the number of floors of the building as "19," the number of elevators as "7," and that "Elevators 1 and 2 pass through floors 2 to 12." The display format setting unit 12 then compares the specified information with <Setting Condition (1)> and, since the number of elevators "7" exceeds the elevator number determination threshold, sets the display format of the screen on the first display device to display a display row indicating the hoistways of a specific elevator on the first display device, i.e., two elevators on each side of Elevator 3. The display format setting unit 12 also sets the display format of the screen on the second display device to display a display row indicating the hoistways of a specific elevator on the second display device, i.e., two elevators on each side of Elevator 5. The display format setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <Setting Condition (2)> and, since the number of floors of the building, "19," is within the maximum number of display floors, sets the display format of the screen to display display rows indicating 19 floors. In addition, the display format setting unit 12 compares the specified information with the setting conditions (9) and sets the display format of the screen in which the height of the display columns corresponding to the 2nd to 12th floors is reduced in the display columns showing the elevator shafts of the 1st and 2nd elevators.

[0062] As a result, the display control unit 14 displays elevator operation status information on a screen with a display format such as that shown in FIG. 8 . Note that FIG. 8 illustrates an example screen of the first display device at the elevator hall on the 13th floor. As shown in FIG. 8 , in the display device 3, in the display columns indicating the elevator shafts of elevators 1 and 2, the height of the display columns corresponding to floors 2 to 12 (passing floors) is displayed smaller than the height of the display columns corresponding to other floors (stopping floors). In this way, the display control device 1 can, for example, display the operation status of each elevator by changing the height of the display columns indicating the elevator shaft for each elevator depending on the floors the elevator passes through and the floors it stops at. This allows the display control device 1 to allow the user to get a sense of the time it will take for each elevator to arrive based on the height of the display columns indicating the elevator shaft.

[0063] 9A and 9B are diagrams showing other examples of the screen of the display device 3 in which the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on the screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12 in the first embodiment. It is assumed that the display mode setting conditions include the above-mentioned <Setting condition (1)> to <Setting condition (2)> and <Setting condition (10)>. Here, the threshold value for determining the number of elevators in <Setting condition (1)> is set to "5." Furthermore, the maximum value for display floors in <Setting condition (2)> is set to "30." It is also assumed that the type determination condition in <Setting condition (10)> includes the following condition: "For display columns corresponding to express elevator shafts, display columns corresponding to shafts corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are not displayed." For example, suppose that the building for which elevator operation status information is to be displayed is a 19-story building with 4 basement floors and 15 above ground, with one elevator hall on each floor and seven elevators installed side by side. Furthermore, at the elevator hall on the 13th floor, two display devices 3 are installed: one display device 3 (referred to as the first display device) in front of elevator No. 3 and one display device 3 (referred to as the second display device) in front of elevator No. 5. The specific elevator number on the first display device is No. 3, and the specific elevator number on the second display device is No. 5. A user then specifies, via the editing device 2, that the number of floors in the building is "19 floors," the number of elevators is "7," and that "elevators No. 1 and No. 2 are express elevators."

[0064] In this case, the specified information acquisition unit 11 acquires specified information specifying the number of floors of the building as "19 floors," the number of elevators as "7," and that "Elevators 1 and 2 are express elevators." The display format setting unit 12 then compares the specified information with <Setting condition (1)> and determines that the number of elevators "7" exceeds the elevator number determination threshold, and therefore sets the display format of the screen on the first display device to display a display row indicating the hoistways of a specific elevator on the first display device, i.e., two elevators on each side of Elevator 3. The display format setting unit 12 also sets the display format of the screen on the second display device to display a display row indicating the hoistways of a specific elevator on the second display device, i.e., two elevators on each side of Elevator 5. The display format setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <Setting condition (2)> and determines that the number of floors of the building, "19 floors," is within the maximum number of display floors, and therefore sets the display format of the screen to display display rows indicating 19 floors.

[0065] The display mode setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with the setting condition (10). Since elevators 1 and 2 are express elevators, the display mode of the screen is set so that, in the display columns showing the elevator shafts of elevators 1 and 2, the display columns for the elevator shafts corresponding to floors 2 to 13, where express elevators do not stop, are not displayed. For example, information associating elevator types with stop floors, such as the floors at which express elevators stop (hereinafter referred to as "stop floor information"), is generated in advance and stored in a storage unit (not shown). The display mode setting unit 12 can simply refer to the stop floor information to identify floors at which express elevators do not stop. Alternatively, for example, a user may specify the stop floors of the express elevators using the editing device 2.

[0066] As a result, the display control unit 14 displays elevator operation status information on a screen with a display format such as that shown in FIG. 9A . Note that FIG. 9A illustrates an example screen of the first display device at the elevator hall on the 13th floor. As shown in FIG. 9A , in the display column indicating the elevator shafts of elevators No. 1 and No. 2, the display column corresponding to floors 2 to 13 is not displayed on the display device 3. In this manner, for each elevator, depending on the operation type of the elevator, the display control device 1 can also, for example, not display the column indicating the elevator shaft corresponding to floors where the elevator does not stop. This allows the display control device 1 to allow the user to get a sense of the time it will take for each elevator to arrive based on the height of the column indicating the elevator shaft.

[0067] In the above example, the type determination condition in <Setting condition (10)> is set to the condition that "with respect to display columns corresponding to express elevator shafts, display columns corresponding to shafts corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are not displayed," but this is merely an example. For example, if the type determination condition in <Setting condition (10)> is set to the condition that "with respect to display columns corresponding to express elevator shafts, display columns corresponding to shafts corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are not displayed, and display columns corresponding to shafts corresponding to floors where the express elevator does stop are displayed in a compact manner," the display control unit 14 will display the elevator operation status information on a screen with a display format such as that shown in FIG. 9B, for example. Furthermore, for example, if the type determination condition in <Setting condition (10)> is set to the following condition: "After performing a display in which, for the display columns corresponding to the express elevator shafts, the display columns corresponding to the shafts corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are not displayed, for the display columns corresponding to the express elevator shafts, the display columns corresponding to the shafts corresponding to floors where the express elevator does not stop are not displayed, and the display columns corresponding to the shafts corresponding to floors where the express elevator does stop are displayed in a compact manner," then the display control unit 14 will, for example, display the elevator operation status information on a screen with a display format such as that shown in FIG. 9A, and then switch to displaying the elevator operation status information on a screen with a display format such as that shown in FIG. 9B.

[0068] FIG. 10 is a diagram showing another example of the screen of the display device 3 in which the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12 in the first embodiment. It is assumed that the display mode setting conditions include the above-mentioned <Setting Condition (1)> to <Setting Condition (3)> and <Setting Condition (11)>. Furthermore, two display devices 3 are installed at the elevator hall on the 13th floor: one display device 3 (referred to as the first display device) in front of elevator No. 3 and one display device 3 (referred to as the second display device) in front of elevator No. 5, and the specific elevator device number of the first display device is No. 3, and the specific elevator device number of the second display device is No. 5. Then, it is assumed that a user specifies from the editing device 2 that the number of floors of the building is "19 floors," the number of elevators is "7," the elevator stopping floors are "No. 1 is on floors B1 to 15, and Nos. 2 to 7 are on floors B4 to 15," and that "No. 2 can be used by VIPs."

[0069] In this case, the specified information acquisition unit 11 acquires specified information specifying the number of floors in the building ("19 floors"), the number of elevators ("7"), the elevator stops ("No. 1 is on floors B1 to 15, Nos. 2 to 7 are on floors B4 to 15"), and "No. 2 can be used by VIPs." The display format setting unit 12 then compares the specified information with <Setting Condition (1)> and determines that the number of elevators ("7") exceeds the elevator number determination threshold. Therefore, the display format setting unit 12 sets, on the first display device, a display format for the screen that displays the elevator shafts of the specific elevator on the first display device, i.e., two elevators on each side of No. 3. The display format setting unit 12 also sets, on the second display device, a display format for the screen that displays the elevator shafts of the specific elevator on the second display device, i.e., two elevators on each side of No. 5. The display mode setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <setting condition (2)>, and since the number of floors in the building, "19," is within the maximum number of display floors, sets the display mode of the screen to display display rows indicating 19 floors. The display mode setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <setting condition (3)>, and since only elevator No. 1 does not stop on floors B1 to B3, sets the display mode of the screen to change the color of the rows indicating the elevator shafts of floors B1 to B3 that do not stop in the display column indicating elevator shaft No. 1 to gray. The display mode setting unit 12 also compares the specified information with <setting condition (11)>, and since elevator No. 2 is an elevator that can be used by VIPs, sets the display mode of the screen to enlarge the icon indicating the car of elevator No. 2.

[0070] As a result, the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information on a screen in a display format such as that shown in Fig. 10. Fig. 10 shows an example of the screen of the first display device at the elevator hall on the 13th floor. As shown in Fig. 10, the car of elevator No. 2 is displayed in an enlarged form on the display device 3. In this way, when a floor on which an elevator car (car number) or elevator hall that can be used by a specific person, such as a wheelchair user, stroller user, or VIP, is located is specified, the display control device 1 can enlarge the display to highlight the specified car, or can increase the width of the display area corresponding to the hall to highlight it.

[0071] In this way, the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in a display format set by the display format setting unit 12 based on the specified items designated by the user. If the user designates new specified items, the display control device 1 will then display the elevator operation status information on a screen in a display format reconfigured based on the newly designated items. Therefore, for example, even if there is a change in the specifications or operation of a building, the display control device 1 can display elevator operation status information that is suited to the changed specifications or operation of the building based on the user's designation.

[0072] The display control unit 14 may have the function of the operation status information acquisition unit 13. In this case, the display control device 1 may not be provided with the operation status information acquisition unit 13.

[0073] Returning to the description of the exemplary configuration of the display control device 1 shown in Fig. 1, when the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information, the current status information acquisition unit 15 acquires current status information relating to the current status within the building. The current status information includes, for example, current elevator operation status information or information indicating the current status of users within the building (hereinafter referred to as "user status information").

[0074] The current status information acquiring unit 15 may acquire, for example, elevator operation status information output from the elevator system 10. Alternatively, for example, the current status information acquiring unit 15 may acquire elevator operation status information from the operation status information acquiring unit 13. Note that the arrow from the operation status information acquiring unit 13 to the current status information acquiring unit 15 is omitted in Fig. 1 .

[0075] The user status information includes, for example, information indicating the floor area of the elevator hall, information indicating the ceiling height of the elevator hall, or information indicating the number of people waiting at the elevator hall. The current status information acquisition unit 15 may, for example, acquire sensor information from a sensor 20 installed for monitoring purposes within the building and acquire user status information by using known technology on the acquired sensor information. For example, the current status information acquisition unit 15 may acquire captured images from a camera installed for monitoring purposes within the building, such as a hallway, and perform known image recognition processing on the acquired captured images to acquire user status information. The current status information acquisition unit 15 may also acquire user status information from a monitoring system (not shown). Information indicating the number of people waiting at the elevator hall is also included in the elevator operation status information output from the elevator system 10. Therefore, the current status information acquisition unit 15 may acquire information indicating the number of people waiting at the elevator hall as user status information from, for example, the elevator system 10 or the operation status information acquisition unit 13. In addition, the current status information acquisition unit 15 may acquire user status information based on images captured by a camera (sensor 20) installed at the elevator landing or inside the car, or may acquire user status information from a sensor (sensor 20) such as a beacon or security equipment installed in the building.

[0076] The current status information acquired by the current status information acquisition unit 15 is not limited to current elevator operation status information or current user status information. The current status information acquisition unit 15 may acquire information about the current status of the building as the current status information. For example, the current status information acquisition unit 15 may acquire information about an event currently being held in the building (hereinafter referred to as "event information") from an event database (not shown) held by a building management system (not shown) as the current status information, or may acquire information about lost items currently being kept in the management office within the building (hereinafter referred to as "lost item information") from a lost item database (not shown) held by the building management system as the current status information.

[0077] The current status information acquiring unit 15 outputs the acquired current status information to the display format adjusting unit 16. Here, it is assumed that the current status information acquiring unit 15 acquires the current status information when the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information, but this is merely an example. For example, the current status information acquiring unit 15 may constantly acquire the current status information and output the acquired current status information to the display format adjusting unit 16.

[0078] When the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information, the display form adjustment unit 16 adjusts the display form of the screen or the display form of the elevator operation status information displayed on the display device 3 by the display control unit 14 based on the current status information acquired by the current status information acquisition unit 15. More specifically, the display form adjustment unit 16 adjusts the display form of the screen or the display form of the elevator operation status information based on the current status information in accordance with display form adjustment conditions. The display form adjustment conditions define how the display form of the screen or the display form of which elevator operation status information should be adjusted depending on the current status of the building. The display form adjustment conditions are set in advance by developers, etc. When the developers, etc. set the display form adjustment conditions, they store information indicating the set display form adjustment conditions (hereinafter referred to as "display form adjustment condition information") in the storage unit. Furthermore, for example, a user may be able to set the display form adjustment conditions from the editing device 2. For example, a user may operate the editing device 2 to call up a screen for setting display mode adjustment conditions, input the display mode adjustment conditions from the screen, and a control unit (not shown) of the editing device 2 may store display mode adjustment condition information indicating the input display mode adjustment conditions in a storage unit (not shown). Furthermore, the user may update the display mode adjustment conditions as needed.

[0079] The display mode adjustment unit 16 may have the function of the current situation information acquisition unit 15. In this case, the display control device 1 may not include the current situation information acquisition unit 15.

[0080] The display form adjustment conditions include, for example, the following conditions, <Adjustment Condition (1)> to <Adjustment Condition (12)>. The display form adjustment unit 16 may combine a plurality of display form adjustment conditions to adjust the display form of the screen or the display form of the elevator operation status information.

[0081] <Adjustment Condition (1)> For floors where the time required for the elevator to move is long, in other words, where the time required for the car to arrive is long (for example, above a preset threshold), the height of the display line corresponding to the floor of that floor is made slightly larger. The amount of increase in the line height is determined according to the line adjustment conditions. Conversely, for floors where the time required for the elevator to move is short, in other words, where the time required for the car to arrive is short (for example, below a preset threshold), the height of the display line corresponding to the floor of that floor is made slightly smaller. The amount of decrease in the line height is determined according to the line adjustment conditions. Note that if multiple elevators are installed on a floor, for example, the average of the times required for the cars of all the elevators to arrive is set as the time required for the car to arrive at that floor.

[0082] The row adjustment condition in the above-mentioned <Adjustment condition (1)> is set, for example, as follows: "The height of the display lines corresponding to floors where it takes a long time for the car to arrive is doubled from the height before adjustment, and the height of the display lines corresponding to floors of other floors is reduced to an appropriate height in accordance with the number of display lines whose height has been doubled." The row adjustment condition is set together with the display form adjustment condition, and information indicating the row adjustment condition (hereinafter referred to as "row adjustment condition information") is stored in a storage unit (not shown) together with the display form adjustment condition information.

[0083] <Adjustment condition (2)> If the weight of the elevator car (the value of the car's scale signal) is heavy (for example, equal to or greater than a preset threshold), the display size of the car is increased and the number of icons corresponding to people displayed is increased. The greater the weight of the car is above the threshold, the more the number of icons corresponding to people displayed is increased. If the weight of the car is always heavy, the threshold is increased, and the number of icons corresponding to people displayed is determined according to the difference between the value obtained by subtracting the weight of factors that make the car heavy and the changed threshold.

[0084] Regarding the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (2)>, for example, if the elevator car is loaded with interior materials specific to the building, the weight of the elevator car may be constantly heavy. Taking this into consideration, the user may set a condition such as the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (2)>.

[0085] <Adjustment Condition (3)> If the number of people waiting at an elevator hall is large, the height of the display lines corresponding to the floors for two floors above and below that floor is increased, and the height of the display lines corresponding to the floors for which the height of the display lines corresponding to the floors is not increased is decreased accordingly, depending on the number of people waiting at the elevator hall. For example, it is determined that the number of people waiting at an elevator hall is large if the number of people waiting at all elevator halls in the entire building is equal to or greater than a preset threshold, if the number of people waiting on the three floors above and below the floor on which the display device 3 is installed is equal to or greater than a preset threshold, or if the ratio of floors with elevator halls with waiting people equal to or greater than the threshold set for each elevator hall to all floors is equal to or greater than a preset threshold.

[0086] <Adjustment Condition (4)> If there are a large number of people waiting at the elevator hall where the display device 3 is installed, only display lines equivalent to two floors above and below that floor are displayed. For example, if the number of people waiting at the elevator hall where the display device 3 is installed is equal to or greater than a preset threshold, or if the number of floors where there are a number of people waiting equal to or greater than the threshold set for each floor is calculated for each of the two floors above and below the floor where the display device 3 is installed, and the ratio of the calculated number of floors to the number of floors within two floors above and below the floor where the display device 3 is installed (i.e., five floors) exceeds 60%, it is determined that there are a large number of people waiting at the elevator hall where the display device 3 is installed.

[0087] <Adjustment Condition (5)> When there are many people waiting at the elevator hall, the display range is limited so that the number of display elements displayed on the screen does not exceed a preset threshold.

[0088] <Adjustment condition (6)> If there are a large number of people waiting at the elevator hall, or if there are wheelchair users or stroller users among the passengers waiting for the car at the elevator hall, the width of the display area corresponding to the hall is increased, and the width of the display area corresponding to the car, in other words, the width of the display column corresponding to the elevator shaft, is decreased by the amount that the width of the display area corresponding to the hall is increased.

[0089] <Adjustment condition (7)> When an icon indicating an elevator car's stop floor is registered, the color of the display row of the stop floor in the display column corresponding to the elevator shaft where the stop floor is registered is changed, the size of the display corresponding to the floor of the stop floor is changed, or the size or color of the icon is changed so that it can be determined whether the stop floor was registered by an operation inside the car or by an operation at the landing.

[0090] <Adjustment condition (8)> In the display row corresponding to the floor through which the elevator car is passing, the width of the display column corresponding to the hoistway through which the car is passing is increased.

[0091] <Adjustment condition (9)> When a lost item is found, an icon indicating the lost item is additionally displayed in the display area of the landing on the floor where the management room where the lost item is kept is located.

[0092] <Adjustment condition (10)> If a floor is scheduled to be a passing floor where the elevator will pass without stopping because no hall call has been made at that floor to call the elevator car, and no car call has been made in the elevator car to register that floor as a destination floor, the height of the display column corresponding to the elevator hoistway corresponding to that passing floor is reduced. If a hall call has been made at that floor or a car call has been made at that floor, and the floor is scheduled to be a stopping floor where the elevator will stop, the height of the display column corresponding to the elevator hoistway corresponding to that stopping floor is made larger than the height of the display column corresponding to the elevator hoistway corresponding to the passing floor.

[0093] <Adjustment Condition (11)> The representation of the display column corresponding to the hoistway is changed for each elevator depending on the elevator operation type. How the representation of the display column corresponding to the hoistway for each elevator operation type is changed depends on the type determination condition.

[0094] The type determination conditions in the above-mentioned <Adjustment Conditions (11)> are set to conditions of the same content as the type determination conditions in the above-mentioned <Setting Conditions (10)>. Note that the operation type of the elevator, such as whether to use an express elevator or a local elevator, can be changed in real time depending on the operation status of the elevator or the status of the elevator hall.

[0095] <Adjustment condition (12)> If there is a wheelchair user, stroller user, or VIP among the passengers waiting for the elevator car at the elevator hall, the width of the display area corresponding to the hall is increased to emphasize the area. Furthermore, the width of the display column corresponding to the elevator shaft corresponding to the floor where the width of the display area corresponding to the hall has been increased is reduced accordingly. Furthermore, if there is a wheelchair user, stroller user, or VIP in the elevator car, the car is enlarged to emphasize it.

[0096] 11 to 14 are diagrams showing examples of screens before and after the display mode adjustment unit 16 adjusts the display mode of the screen or the display mode of the elevator operation status information displayed on the display device 3 by the display control unit 14 based on the current status information acquired by the current status information acquisition unit 15 in the first embodiment. In FIGS. 11 to 14, the example screens on the left side of the figures show the example screens before the display mode of the screen or the display mode of the elevator operation status information is adjusted, and the example screens on the right side of the figures show the example screens after the display mode of the screen or the display mode of the elevator operation status information is adjusted. Here, it is assumed that the display mode adjustment conditions include, for example, the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (1)> to <Adjustment Condition (9)>.

[0097] 11 shows an example of a screen before and after the display form of the screen or the display form of the elevator operation status information is adjusted based on the current status information and in accordance with the above <Adjustment Condition (1)> by the display form adjustment unit 16. For example, if it takes a long time for the car to arrive at floors B4 to 2 and floors 14 to 15 and a short time for the car to arrive at floors 3 to 13, the display form adjustment unit 16 increases the height of the display lines representing floors B4 to 2 and floors 14 to 15 and decreases the height of the display lines representing floors 3 to 13, as shown in FIG.

[0098] 12 shows an example of a screen before and after the display form of the screen or the display form of the elevator operation status information is adjusted in accordance with the above <Adjustment Condition (2)> based on the current status information by the display form adjustment unit 16. For example, if the weight of the car of elevator No. 5 is heavy, the display form adjustment unit 16 increases the display size of the car of elevator No. 5 and increases the number of human-shaped icons displayed in the car of elevator No. 5, as shown in FIG.

[0099] 13 shows an example of a screen before and after the display form of the screen or the display form of the elevator operation status information is adjusted in accordance with the above <Adjustment Condition (3)> based on the current status information by the display form adjustment unit 16. For example, if there are many people waiting at the elevator hall on floor B1, the display form adjustment unit 16 increases the height of the display lines indicating floors B1 and the two floors above and below it, i.e., floors B3 to B2, as shown in FIG. 13, and decreases the height of the display lines indicating floors B4 and floors 3 to 15 accordingly.

[0100] 14 shows an example of a screen before and after the display form of the screen or the display form of the elevator operation status information is adjusted in accordance with the above <Adjustment Condition (6)> based on the current status information by the display form adjustment unit 16. For example, if there are many people waiting at the elevator hall on the B1 floor, the display form adjustment unit 16 increases the width of the display area showing the hall and decreases the width of the display column showing the elevator shaft accordingly, as shown in FIG.

[0101] In the example described above using FIGS. 11 to 14 , the display mode adjustment conditions include, for example, the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (1)> to <Adjustment Condition (9)>. However, this is merely an example, and the display mode adjustment conditions may include, for example, the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (10)> to <Adjustment Condition (12)>. For example, the display mode adjustment unit 16 may adjust the display mode of the elevator operation status information based on the current status information in accordance with the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (10)> so that the height of the display column corresponding to the passing floor is displayed smaller than the height of the display column corresponding to the stopping floor. An example of a screen in which the height of the display column corresponding to the passing floor is displayed smaller than the height of the display column corresponding to the stopping floor is the screen shown in FIG. 8 . Furthermore, the display mode adjustment unit 16 may adjust the display mode of the elevator operation status information based on the current status information in accordance with the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (11)> so that the representation of the display column corresponding to the hoistway is changed depending on the elevator operation type. A screen in which the representation of the display column corresponding to the elevator shaft is changed depending on the elevator operation type is, for example, a screen as shown in FIG. 9 . Furthermore, for example, the display form adjustment unit 16 may adjust the display form of the elevator operation status information based on the current status information and in accordance with the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (12)> so as to increase the width of the display area indicating the landing if a wheelchair user, stroller user, or VIP is present among the passengers waiting for the elevator car. Furthermore, the display form adjustment unit 16 may adjust the display form of the elevator operation status information based on the current status information and in accordance with the above-mentioned <Adjustment Condition (12)> so as to enlarge the car if a wheelchair user, stroller user, or VIP is present in the elevator car. A screen in which the car is enlarged is, for example, a screen as shown in FIG. 10 .

[0102] In this way, in the display control device 1, the display format adjustment unit 16 adjusts the display format of the screen or the display format of the elevator operation status information displayed by the display control unit 14 based on the current status information, thereby enabling the display screen of the display device 3 to more visually convey the current situation to the user.

[0103] The operation of the display control device 1 according to the first embodiment will be described. FIG. 15 is a flowchart for describing the operation of the display control device 1 according to the first embodiment. For example, when the display control device 1 is powered on or when designation information is output from the editing device 2, the display control device 1 starts the operation shown in the flowchart of FIG. 15. For example, the display control device 1 performs the operation shown in the flowchart of FIG. 15 until the display control device 1 is no longer powered on. Note that, with respect to the operation of the display control device 1 shown in the flowchart of FIG. 15, the processing of steps ST1 to ST4 corresponds to a first display control process, and the processing of steps ST5 to ST6 corresponds to a second display control process.

[0104] The designated information acquisition unit 11 acquires designated information from the editing device 2 (step ST1). The designated information acquisition unit 11 outputs the acquired designated information to the display form setting unit 12.

[0105] The display form setting unit 12 sets the display form of the screen when the elevator operation status information is displayed on the display device 3, based on the designation information acquired by the designation information acquiring unit 11 in step ST1 (step ST2). More specifically, the display form setting unit 12 sets the display form of the screen when the elevator operation status information is displayed on the display device 3, based on the designation information acquired by the designation information acquiring unit 11 in step ST1 and the display form setting conditions. The display form setting unit 12 outputs the set display form information to the display control unit 14.

[0106] The operation status information acquiring unit 13 acquires elevator operation status information (step ST3), and outputs the acquired elevator operation status information to the display control unit 14.

[0107] The display control unit 14 causes the display device 3 to display the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on the screen of the display format set by the display format setting unit 12 in step ST2 (step ST4).

[0108] The current situation information acquiring unit 15 acquires current situation information relating to the current situation inside the building (step ST5). The current situation information acquiring unit 15 outputs the acquired current situation information to the display form adjusting unit 16.

[0109] The display form adjustment unit 16 adjusts the display form of the screen or the display form of the elevator operation status information displayed on the display device 3 by the display control unit 14 based on the current status information acquired by the current status information acquisition unit 15 in step ST6 (step ST6).

[0110] If the specified information acquisition unit 11 acquires new specified information (if "YES" in step ST7), the operation of the display control device 1 returns to the processing of step ST2, and if the specified information acquisition unit 11 does not acquire new specified information (if "NO" in step ST7), the operation of the display control device 1 returns to the processing of step ST5.

[0111] 15, the process of step ST7 is performed after the process of step ST6, but this is merely an example, and the process of step ST7 may be performed in parallel with the processes of steps ST1 to ST6. For example, if the designation information acquisition unit 11 acquires new designation information before the processes of steps ST1 to ST6 are performed, the operation of the display control device 1 returns to the process of step ST2.

[0112] 15, the process of step ST3 is performed after the process of step ST2, but this is merely an example, and the processes of steps ST1 to ST2 and the process of step ST3 may be performed in parallel. It is sufficient that the process of step ST3 is performed before the process of step ST4 is performed.

[0113] Furthermore, in the operation shown in the flowchart of FIG. 15, the processing of step ST5 is performed after the processing of step ST4, but this is only one example, and for example, the processing of step ST5 may be performed at all times in parallel with the processing of steps ST1 to ST6.

[0114] 16A and 16B are diagrams illustrating an example of a hardware configuration of the display control device 1 according to the first embodiment. In the first embodiment, the functions of the designated information acquisition unit 11, the display format setting unit 12, the operation status information acquisition unit 13, the display control unit 14, the current status information acquisition unit 15, and the display format adjustment unit 16 are realized by a processing circuit 1001. That is, the display control device 1 includes the processing circuit 1001 for controlling the display of elevator operation status information on a screen in a display format set based on the designated information and the display format setting conditions. The processing circuit 1001 may be dedicated hardware as shown in FIG. 16A, or may be a processor 1004 that executes a program stored in a memory 1005 as shown in FIG. 16B.

[0115] If the processing circuit 1001 is dedicated hardware, the processing circuit 1001 may be, for example, a single circuit, a composite circuit, a programmed processor, a parallel programmed processor, an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit), an FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array), or a combination thereof.

[0116] When the processing circuit is the processor 1004, the functions of the designated information acquisition unit 11, the display form setting unit 12, the operation status information acquisition unit 13, the display control unit 14, the current status information acquisition unit 15, and the display form adjustment unit 16 are realized by software, firmware, or a combination of software and firmware. The software or firmware is written as a program and stored in the memory 1005. The processor 1004 reads and executes the program stored in the memory 1005 to execute the functions of the designated information acquisition unit 11, the display form setting unit 12, the operation status information acquisition unit 13, the display control unit 14, the current status information acquisition unit 15, and the display form adjustment unit 16. In other words, the display control device 1 includes the memory 1005 for storing a program that, when executed by the processor 1004, results in the execution of steps ST1 to ST7 of FIG. 15 described above. In addition, the program stored in memory 1005 can also be said to cause the computer to execute the processing procedures or methods of the specified information acquisition unit 11, the display form setting unit 12, the operation status information acquisition unit 13, the display control unit 14, the current status information acquisition unit 15, and the display form adjustment unit 16. Here, the memory 1005 may be, for example, a non-volatile or volatile semiconductor memory such as a RAM, a ROM (Read Only Memory), a flash memory, an EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory), or an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), or a magnetic disk, a flexible disk, an optical disk, a compact disk, a mini disk, or a DVD (Digital Versatile Disc).

[0117] The functions of the designated information acquisition unit 11, the display format setting unit 12, the operation status information acquisition unit 13, the display control unit 14, the current status information acquisition unit 15, and the display format adjustment unit 16 may be partially implemented by dedicated hardware and partially implemented by software or firmware. For example, the designated information acquisition unit 11 and the operation status information acquisition unit 13 may be implemented by a processing circuit 1001 as dedicated hardware, while the functions of the display format setting unit 12, the display control unit 14, the current status information acquisition unit 15, and the display format adjustment unit 16 may be implemented by the processor 1004 reading and executing a program stored in the memory 1005. The display control device 1 also includes an input interface device 1002 and an output interface device 1003 that perform wired or wireless communication with devices such as the editing device 2, the elevator system 10, or the sensor 20.

[0118] In the first embodiment described above, the user is assumed to be a building management company employee or a developer, but this is merely an example. As described above, the user may be, for example, a tenant, a facility user, an elevator management company employee, or an elevator maintenance manager. Any person responsible for the building specifications or operation related to the elevator operation status information provided by the display device 3 can be a user. Here, tenants are assumed to be facilities that have a significant impact on the building, such as hotels. Facility users are assumed to be small retail stores inside or outside the facility, ordinary people, etc.

[0119] For example, if the user is a building management company employee or a developer, as described above, the user can specify the designated items from the editing device 2 each time a building management task, such as an event, maintenance inspection, or cleaning, is performed within the building. Furthermore, if the user is a tenant, the user can specify the designated items from the editing device 2 each time an event is held within the building or when a VIP needs to be accommodated. Furthermore, if the user is a facility user, the user can operate the editing device 2 to specify text or illustrations to be edited or added (e.g., impressions about the floor, promotional text for the tenant, or a company logo) as the designated items from the input screen. In this case, the display control device 1 sets the display format of the screen to display the edited or added text or illustrations based on the specified information, for example. Figure 17 is a diagram showing an example of the screen of the display device 3 in which elevator operation status information is displayed in a screen display format (see "W" in Figure 17) set by the display control device 1 in embodiment 1 so that characters added by the user are displayed in a display area corresponding to the floor specified by the user.

[0120] Furthermore, the type of user may change, for example, if a management company employee specifies the designated items when a building is completed, and then if there is a change in the building's specifications or operation (for example, a change in the elevator's stopping floor), the elevator management company may re-specify the designated items.

[0121] Furthermore, for example, the display control device 1 may display elevator operation status information and also have a "destination guidance function" for people who have a destination floor, such as a parking lot, but do not know which floor to go to—in other words, people who do not know which floor is their destination. In this case, the user who does not know which floor to go to is assumed to be, for example, a facility user. For example, the facility user calls up an item input screen from the editing device 2 and inputs items indicating the destination from the current location, such as the current floor and destination, as specified items on the item input screen. The specified information acquisition unit 11 of the display control device 1 acquires the specified information from the editing device 2, and the display format setting unit 12 calculates the shortest route within the building to the destination from the current location based on the items indicating the destination indicated by the specified information. For example, a floor map may be stored in a memory unit (not shown), and the display format setting unit 12 may calculate the shortest route by referring to the floor map. Then, based on the calculated shortest route, the display format setting unit 12 sets the display format of the elevator operation status information so as to increase the height of the display area corresponding to the floor of the elevator hall on the floor on the shortest route.

[0122] In this case, the display mode setting conditions are set, for example, as the following <Setting condition (12)>: <Setting condition (12)> When the current floor and destination are specified as the specified items, the shortest route to the floor corresponding to the destination is calculated, and the height of the display area corresponding to the elevator hall floor on the calculated shortest route is increased.

[0123] FIG. 18 is a diagram showing an example of the screen of the display device 3 in which the display control unit 14 of the display control device 1 displays the elevator operation status information acquired by the operation status information acquisition unit 13 on a screen in a display format set by the display format setting unit 12 according to the display format setting condition, such as the above-mentioned <Setting Condition (12)>, by the display format setting unit 12 in accordance with the above-mentioned <Setting Condition (12)>. Assume that a user specifies, via the editing device 2, that the current floor is "12th floor" and the destination is "parking lot." Assume also that the parking lot is located on floor B4. Assume also that the shortest route from floor 12 to floor B4, where the parking lot is located, is a route from floor 12 to floor 4. In this case, the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information on a screen in a display format such as that shown in FIG. 18 . As shown in FIG. 18 , for example, the heights of the display areas showing the elevator halls for floors 12, 4, and B4 are displayed larger than the heights of the display areas showing the elevator halls for the other floors.

[0124] Furthermore, in the above-described first embodiment, the display control device 1 performs the first display control process and the second display control process, but this is merely an example, and the display control device 1 does not necessarily have the function of performing the second display control process. If the display control device 1 does not have the function of performing the second display control process, the display control device 1 does not necessarily have the current status information acquisition unit 15 and the display form adjustment unit 16. Furthermore, in the operation of the display control device 1 as described using the flowchart of FIG. 15, the processes of steps ST5 to ST6 can be omitted.

[0125] In the first embodiment, the display control device 1 is mounted on a server, but this is merely an example. For example, the display control device 1 may be mounted on the editing device 2 or on the elevator system 10. In addition, some of the designated information acquisition unit 11, the display format setting unit 12, the operation status information acquisition unit 13, the display control unit 14, the current status information acquisition unit 15, and the display format adjustment unit 16 of the display control device 1 may be provided in a device external to the display control device 1 and connected to the display control device 1.

[0126] As described above, according to the first embodiment, the display control device 1 is a display control device 1 that displays elevator operation status information related to the operation status of elevators in a building on the display device 3, and is configured to include: a designated information acquisition unit 11 that acquires designated information indicating designated items related to the specifications or operation of the building designated by the user for which the elevator operation status information is to be displayed on the display device 3; a display mode setting unit 12 that sets the display mode of the screen based on the designated information acquired by the designated information acquisition unit 11 and display mode setting conditions that define the display mode of the screen when displaying the elevator operation status information; and a display control unit 14 that displays the elevator operation status information on the screen in the display mode set by the display mode setting unit 12. Therefore, the display control device 1 can display elevator operation status information that is tailored to the specifications or operation of the building.

[0127] Furthermore, according to the first embodiment, the display control device 1 is configured to include a display mode adjustment unit 16 that, when the display control unit 14 displays the elevator operation status information, adjusts the display mode of the screen or the display mode of the elevator operation status information displayed by the display control unit 14 based on current status information regarding the current situation inside the building. Therefore, the display control device 1 can more visually convey the current situation to the user on the display screen of the display device 3.

[0128] Any of the components of the embodiments may be modified or omitted.

[0129] The display control device according to the present disclosure can display elevator operation status information in accordance with the specifications or operation of a building.
