Abstract
Description
[0001] A BOX OPENING SYSTEM
[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD
[0003] The invention relates to at least one box opening system for allowing a robotic arm to hold the box in a predetermined position.
[0004] PRIOR ART
[0005] A cardboard box opening system is a process that uses automation and is often used in large manufacturing facilities or distribution centers. This system allows cardboard boxes to be opened quickly and effectively and products to be placed inside. In the art, it is known to use this type of cardboard systems in systems where packaging is required.
[0006] Application No. TR2021014659 known in the literature relates to a type of add-on system for a robotic cartoning machine for folding and unfolding cartons in a cartoning machine and for cartoning products in the cosmetics, hygiene, chemical, food, and cleaning sectors. According to the sample sizes processed during the carton opening process, there is a carton size adjustment element providing adjustment by moving back and forth according to the effect of the movement of the box size adjustment element gear on the rack and pinion gear. Through the air distribution element, which ensures the distribution of air to pneumatic elements, the carton opening element is activated by means of the carton flap opening-closing element, moving back and forth to apply impact to the edges of the carton and bring the carton to the open position. In the meantime, the movement is carried out thanks to the flap movement element that enables the movement to become functional. In order to prevent the carton flaps from closing back while bringing the carton to the open position, the (flap) carton fixing element keeps the carton flaps in an upright position in order to prevent the flaps from closing back. While bringing the carton to the open position, the vacuum element allowing the carton to be received into the body keeps the carton suspended by vacuuming. It is realized through the vacuum switch element, which creates a vacuum effect to ensure that the vacuum process takes place. The problem of not being able to open the cardboard box in half is often encountered in packaging or transportation processes and can lead to many negative consequences. Some of the problems associated with this problem are as follows;
[0007] - Product Access Difficulty: If the cardboard box cannot be fully opened, it becomes difficult to access the products inside. This can result in loss of time and labor cost during the handling or placing of products.
[0008] - Product Damage: If the cardboard box cannot be opened in half, the products inside can be damaged. Especially for fragile or delicate products, this problem can lead to serious consequences.
[0009] Loss of Efficiency: Workers wasting time trying to open boxes or not being able to open boxes properly can reduce the efficiency of operation processes. In addition, if the process of opening the boxes and dealing with the contents of the workers is prolonged, labor costs may increase.
[0010] - Storage Issues: When cardboard boxes cannot be opened properly, space problems can arise in storage spaces. Failure to fold boxes neatly enough can hinder efficient use of storage space.
[0011] - Safety Problems: Attempts by workers to properly open boxes to speed up work can lead to safety problems. Injuries may occur due to improper use of cutting tools or during cutting.
[0012] Failure to open the cardboard box properly is often a sign that the packaging process or product preparation process has not been carefully handled or lack of automation. Appropriate packaging design, automation systems or training measures can be taken to solve such problems. This can increase the efficiency of operation processes and prevent negative consequences.
[0013] As a result, all the above-mentioned problems have made it imperative to make an innovation in the relevant technical field.
[0014] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a cardboard box opening system for eliminating the above-mentioned disadvantages and bringing new advantages to the relevant technical field.
[0015] An object of the invention is to introduce at least one box opening system for positioning cardboard boxes in a predetermined position and for the preliminary detection of manufacturing defects.
[0016] In order to achieve all the purposes mentioned above and that will emerge from the detailed description below, the present invention is at least one box opening system for allowing the robotic arm to hold a box in a predetermined position. Accordingly, its novelty is that it comprises at least one table for placing the box on, at least one floor plate positioned on said table at a predetermined inclination with respect to the ground and for transporting the box placed thereon, an abutment wall on at least one edge of said floor plate for resting the box against gravity, and a point zero on one side of said abutment wall at which the floor plate is positioned closest to the ground. Therefore, at least one box opening system for positioning cardboard boxes in a predetermined position and for the preliminary detection of manufacturing defects is obtained.
[0017] A possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that there are two abutment walls, located on two adjacent edges of the floor plate. Thus, the box can be positioned in a predetermined position on two different axes.
[0018] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it comprises at least one foot for positioning the floor plate above the ground. This allows the boxes to be placed at a consistent inclination, obtaining a better position against gravity.
[0019] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that said foot is provided in a plurality and of different sizes from each other. Thus, it offers different options for adjusting the inclination and position of the floor plate, and adapts to different box sizes. Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it comprises at least one vacuum pad for holding the box on the floor plate. This ensures that the box is held more securely and accurately.
[0020] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it comprises vacuum elements so that the robotic arm can hold the box. Thus, it ensures that the boxes are transported safely with the vacuum structure and reduces the risk of the box falling during the process.
[0021] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the box is a cardboard box with specific fold lines. Thus, the system can focus on a specific type of box and is optimized for opening and processing of these boxes.
[0022] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it is associated with a production line that allows the manufacture of mattresses. Thus, it is designed to facilitate the production process and packaging of mattresses.
[0023] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
[0024] Fig. 1 shows a representative top view of the box opening system of the invention.
[0025] Fig. 2 shows a representative perspective view of the table in the box opening system of the invention.
[0026] Fig. 3 shows another representative perspective view of the table in the box opening system of the invention.
[0027] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0028] In this detailed description, the subject of the invention is explained by way of example only for a better understanding of the subject, which shall not create any limiting effect.
[0029] Fig. 1 shows a representative top view of the box opening system (1) of the invention. Accordingly, the cardboard box opening system (1 ) of the invention is suitable for production facilities where packaging is required with cardboard boxes. The box opening system (1) comprises at least one robotic arm (10) and at least one table (20) integrated into a production line (I). In said production line (I), essentially mattresses are manufactured. The box opening system (1) arranges the cardboard boxes to allow the packaging of the mattress manufactured on the production line (I). The robotic arm (10) allows to feed the boxes to the production line (I). For this, the robotic arm (10) has a vacuum structure that can hold the boxes with suction power. Said table (20) allows the box held on the robotic arm (10) to be captured at a predetermined position, in other words, to be placed at the point zero (23).
[0030] Fig. 2 shows a representative perspective view of the table (20) in the box opening system (1) of the invention. Accordingly, the table (20) has at least one floor plate (21) for placing the boxes thereon. There is at least one foot (21) located on the groundfacing side of said floor plate (25). The floor plate (21) is positioned on the foot (25) at a predetermined inclination relative to the ground. To allow this, there can be feet (25) provided in a plurality, preferably 4, and of different sizes from each other, between the floor plate (21) and the ground. There is at least one abutment wall (22) located on at least one edge of the floor plate (21 ) so that the box is positioned thereon in the predetermined position. By means of said abutment wall (22), the box is placed at the point zero (23). There are two of said abutment walls (22), located on the edge of the floor plate (21) on the side facing the ground and on the other edge adjacent to it. Therefore, the box can be positioned in a predetermined position on two different axes. To allow this, there is a point zero (23) between the abutment walls (22). Said point zero (23) is the point of the floor plate (21) that is closest to the ground. The point zero (23) is a point whose coordinates are clearly known by the box transport system. Therefore, the box released on the floor plate (21 ) is placed at the point zero (23) from one corner with the effect of gravity. While in this position, the box held by the robotic arm (10) is held such that its position is known in advance.
[0031] Fig. 3 shows another representative perspective view of the table (20) in the box opening system (1 ) of the invention. Accordingly, the box to be kept is essentially a cardboard box with specific fold lines. In order for the cardboard box to be used on the production line (I), its opposite edges must be separated from each other. During this process, one edge of the cardboard box is vacuum-held by the robotic arm (10), while the other edge is held by at least one vacuum pad (24) located on the table (20). Said vacuum pad (24) is preferably provided on the floor plate (21 ) in a plurality, in particular 4. This ensures that the box is held more rigidly and accurately. Thus, the situation where the box cannot be opened due to a production defect is also determined.
[0032] The benefits obtained with all this configuration are as follows;
[0033] Efficiency Increase: The box opening system (1) automates and speeds up operation processes, which improves production efficiency. Instead of workers manually opening boxes, the system does operate more quickly and consistently. It frees workers from physically opening boxes, allowing the workers to focus on more demanding tasks. It reduces worker fatigue and musculoskeletal disorders.
[0034] Faster Production Process: Opening cardboard boxes quickly increases the speed of the production process. Faster processing and packaging of products is crucial to meet customer demands. The system positions and opens the boxes in a predetermined position, which reduces errors and packaging problems. More consistent packaging of products increases quality control.
[0035] Reduced Loss: The system opens the boxes more carefully, which reduces damage or loss of products. It reduces the amount of waste and scrap generated during the box opening process.
[0036] Safety and Ergonomics: Since the process of moving or opening heavy boxes becomes automated, it ensures the safety of workers. Workers' ergonomic problems and the risk of disability are reduced.
[0037] More Organized Storage and Organization: Orderly box opening and product placement allows for more effective use of warehouse space.
[0038] Customer Satisfaction: Faster operation processes and better packaging lead to fast delivery to customers and the arrival of products in better condition, which increases customer satisfaction. This cardboard box opening system (1) provides a number of significant advantages to industrial production facilities, optimizing business processes and improving operating performance. The scope of protection of the invention is specified in the appended claims and cannot be limited to what is described for illustrative purposes in this detailed description. It is clear that a person skilled in the art can produce similar embodiments in the light of what is explained above, without deviating from the main theme of the invention.
