[0025] Fig. 2 is a drawing for explaining the laminated structure of the credit card illustrated in Fig. 1.

[0026] Figure 3 is a flowchart showing a method for manufacturing a credit card according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0027] The advantages and / or features of the present invention, and the methods for achieving them, will become clearer with reference to the embodiments described in detail below together with the accompanying drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed below, but may be implemented in various different forms. These embodiments are provided only to ensure that the disclosure of the present invention is complete and to fully inform those skilled in the art of the scope of the invention, and the present invention is defined only by the scope of the claims. Like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout the specification.

[0028] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0029] FIG. 1 is an image drawing showing the front side of a duralumin credit card according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a drawing for explaining the laminated structure of the credit card shown in FIG. 1.

[0030] As illustrated here, a credit card (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a metal sheet (110), a first duralumin flake ink layer (120), a second duralumin flake ink layer (130), a synthetic resin layer (140), a first ink layer (141), a second ink layer (145), a front layer (150), and a back layer (160).

[0031] In addition, although not illustrated in detail, an inlay sheet (not illustrated) may be provided on the lower portion of the synthetic resin layer (140). Each layer may be provided with through holes, and the inlay sheet may be provided with a mounting portion (not illustrated), through which a chip pad (not illustrated) equipped with an IC chip (not illustrated) may be mounted.

[0032] In detail, the IC chip can be mounted on the inlay sheet in a contact or non-contact manner, and thus the credit card (100) of the present embodiment can be used for payment, membership verification, point accumulation, etc. However, although the present embodiment has been described as being applied to a credit card (100), it is obvious that it can be applied to a check card, prepaid card, membership card, transportation card, or point card.

[0033] By this configuration, ink layers (120, 130) of the flake powder type containing duralumin are provided on both sides of the metal sheet (110), so that the card can be manufactured lighter than a card made of only a metal sheet, and also have excellent durability.

[0034] When explaining each configuration, first, the metal sheet (110) of the present embodiment can be made of stainless steel (SUS) as shown in FIG. 2. The surface of the metal sheet (110) can be polished using a polishing device or a polishing agent.

[0035] However, in this embodiment, it has been described that stainless steel is used as the metal sheet (110), but it is not limited thereto and it is obvious that it may be prepared from a metal or metal alloy such as titanium or tungsten.

[0036] A synthetic resin layer (140) made of a synthetic resin, for example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), is provided on the lower part of the metal sheet (110). A hot melt sheet, although not shown, may be interposed between the metal sheet (110) and the synthetic resin layer (140). By applying heat to the hot melt sheet and melting it, the metal sheet (110) and the synthetic resin layer (140) can be firmly attached. At this time, a roll laminating process may be applied.

[0037] Meanwhile, an ink layer made of duralumin may be applied to each side of the metal sheet (110) of the present embodiment. Referring to FIG. 2, a first duralumin flake ink layer (120) made of duralumin may be applied to the upper surface of the metal sheet (110), and a second duralumin flake ink layer (130) may be applied to the back surface of the synthetic resin layer (140) at the lower portion of the metal sheet (110).

[0038] The first duralumin flake ink layer (120) can be printed on a metal sheet (110) by a silk screen manual printing method with the first ink layer (141) to be described later interposed therebetween, and the second duralumin flake ink layer (130) can be printed on the lower surface of the synthetic resin layer (140) by a silk screen manual printing method.

[0039] The first duralumin flake ink layer (120) and the second duralumin flake ink layer (130) may each include powder flakes prepared in the form of powder as a duralumin material, a first mixed ink mixed into the powder flakes, and a second mixed ink.

[0040] That is, by mixing the first mixed ink and the second mixed ink at a set ratio and uniformly mixing the powder flakes therein, a flake powder type ink forming a duralumin flake ink layer can be prepared.

[0041] Here, the mixing ratio of the first mixed ink and the second mixed ink may be 6:4 to 8:2, and preferably 7:3. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0042] To elaborate, as the first mixed ink, a printing ink may be applied, for example, 2871 ink may be applied. 2871 ink is, for example, a laminating varnish type adhesive.

[0043] Since the laminating varnish type adhesive has a very fast drying ability and has transparent and fine finishing properties, when flake powder is mixed into it, the flake powder can be applied so that it is evenly distributed on one side of the metal sheet (110) or one side of the synthetic resin layer (140).

[0044] The second mixed ink can be an oil-based ink, such as 2842 ink. This second mixed ink can minimize odor by using a high-boiling-point solvent, and can be multifunctional by upgrading a significant portion of the resin.

[0045] The second mixed ink has not only adhesive properties but also alkali resistance, alcohol resistance, and heat resistance, and through this, it can improve various performances including durability of the credit card (100) of the present embodiment.

[0046] Meanwhile, the first duralumin flake ink layer (120) described above is not provided directly on the metal sheet (110), but as shown in FIG. 2, the first ink layer (141) may be first formed on the metal sheet (110) by a silk screen manual printing method, and the first duralumin flake ink layer (120) may be provided thereon.

[0047] The first ink layer (141) is an ink having adhesive strength, and therefore, the first duralumin flake ink layer (120) described above can be firmly printed on the first ink layer (141).

[0048] In addition, a second ink layer (145) made of the same material as the first ink layer (141) described above may be provided on the upper surface of the first duralumin flake ink layer (120). In addition, a front layer (150) forming the front surface of the credit card (100) of the present embodiment may be printed on the second ink layer (145).

[0049] The front layer (150) can be firmly printed on the second ink layer (145) by the adhesive strength of the second ink layer (145), and a digital printing method can be applied at this time.

[0050] Meanwhile, the second duralumin flake ink layer (130) of the present embodiment can be printed by an indoor screen manual printing method on the lower surface of the synthetic resin layer (140) under the metal sheet (110), as described above.

[0051] And, a back layer (160) forming the back of the card (100) can be printed on the lower surface of the second duralumin flake ink layer (130), and an offset printing method can be applied at this time.

[0052] Meanwhile, below, a method for manufacturing a credit card (100) having the aforementioned configuration will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0053] Figure 3 is a flowchart showing a method for manufacturing a credit card according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0054] As illustrated herein, a method for manufacturing a duralumin credit card (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a metal sheet forming step (S100) of printing a first ink layer (141) on a metal sheet (110) and forming a first duralumin flake ink layer (120) on the first ink layer (141), a synthetic resin layer forming step (S200) of forming a second duralumin flake ink layer (130) on the lower surface of a synthetic resin layer (140) disposed under the metal sheet (110), and a bonding step (S300) of bonding the metal sheet (110) and the synthetic resin by a melting method.

[0055] In the metal sheet forming step (S100) of the present embodiment, the front side of the card (100) can be formed. As described above, the front side of the card (100) can be formed by printing a first ink layer (141) on a metal sheet (110), forming a first duralumin flake ink layer (120) thereon, printing a second ink layer (145) thereon, and coating a front layer (150) thereon.

[0056] Meanwhile, in the synthetic resin layer forming step (S200) of the present embodiment, the back side of the card (100) can be formed. The back side of the card (100) can be formed by forming a second duralumin flake ink layer (130) on the lower surface of the synthetic resin layer (140) and coating a back layer (160) thereunder.

[0057] In the bonding step (S300) of the present embodiment, for example, a hot melt sheet is interposed between a metal sheet (110) on which a first duralumin flake ink layer (120) is formed and a synthetic resin layer (140) on which a second duralumin flake ink layer (130) is formed, and then the hot melt sheet is melted by heat to bond the metal sheet (110) and the synthetic resin layer (140), thereby forming the structure of the credit card (100) of the present embodiment.

[0058] In this way, according to the present embodiment, since a flake powder type duralumin ink layer is provided on both sides of the metal sheet (110), the card can be manufactured lighter than a card made of only a metal sheet, and can also have excellent durability.

[0059] While specific embodiments of the present invention have been described so far, it is clear that various modifications are possible without departing from the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the scope of the present invention should not be limited to the described embodiments, but should be determined not only by the scope of the claims set forth below, but also by equivalents thereof.

[0060] Although the present invention has been described with reference to limited embodiments and drawings, it is not limited to the above-described embodiments. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications and variations are possible based on this disclosure. Therefore, the scope of the present invention should be understood solely by the scope of the claims set forth below, and all equivalent or equivalent modifications thereof are deemed to fall within the scope of the present invention.
