Description

[0001] A HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE SEPARATOR

[0002] FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The invention relates to a separator having at least one first strut and at least one second strut, both extending on a first axis, for decorative purposes, to separate building interior partitions from each other and to prevent at least partially the view between two partitions.

[0004] PRIOR ART

[0005] Separators are decorative elements used to functionally divide interior spaces and add an aesthetic touch. Playing an important role in organizing the space, separators are found in many different environments, from offices to living spaces.

[0006] Their basic function is to divide an area into two, creating different sections and providing privacy.

[0007] They are also preferred for decorative purposes. Separators can be produced from different materials such as wood, metal, glass and PVC, depending on their design and usage area. While wooden models provide a natural look, materials such as metal and glass create a modern atmosphere.

[0008] Depending on the material chosen, separators add both functional and visual value.

[0009] Separators may need to be used in different lengths. For this reason, height-adjustable separators offer a solution suitable for the needs of the space. This feature allows the separator to be customized according to both the structure of the space and the purpose of use.

[0010] Especially in areas where flexible arrangements are needed, such as offices, these separators offer great advantages in terms of practicality and aesthetics. Moreover, since there are portable models, the separators can be easily repositioned when it is desired to create different sections. The application number TR2023 / 007879, known in the literature, is related to a separator with adjustable height.

[0011] After adjusting the height here, the separator is secured using a clamp. The disadvantage here is that the clamp must be procured separately and cannot be adapted to separators with different geometries.

[0012] As a result, all abovementioned problems have made it necessary to make an improvement in the relevant technical field.

[0013] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The present invention eliminates the disadvantages mentioned above and introduces new advantages to the relevant technical field.

[0015] An object of the present invention is to present a design that has been simplified for manufacturing and assembly.

[0016] Another object of the present invention is to present a separator having a height adjustment mechanism that can adapt to different geometries.

[0017] In order to realize all the purposes mentioned above and which will emerge from the detailed description below, the present invention is a separator having at least one first strut and at least one second strut, both of which extend on a first axis, for decorative purposes, to separate the interior building partitions from each other and to at least partially prevent the view between the two partitions.

[0018] Accordingly, its novelty is that one of the first strut and the second strut comprises an internal space on its body, the other one comprises at least one main extension sized to fit into said internal space, the first strut is connected to the second strut in a way that it can move in the direction of the first axis within the internal space, it comprises at least one magnet connected to one of the main extension and the internal space, it comprises at least one ferromagnetic element connected to the other, the said ferromagnetic element and the said magnet are positioned in a way that they are aligned at least at one point on the first axis during the movement of the main extension within the internal space. Thus, a separator structure that is height adjustable, easy to manufacture, install and apply is created.

[0019] The possible embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises a limit body that restricts the movement of the main extension within the internal space at a point in the direction of the first axis.

[0020] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the magnet is positioned in the main extension and the ferromagnetic element is positioned in the internal cavity.

[0021] Thus, since the strut with the main extension will generally be lighter than the strut with the internal cavity, positioning the magnet here will provide an easier installation.

[0022] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the ferromagnetic element is sized to extend throughout the internal space. Thus, height adjustment can be made in a wide range.

[0023] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the magnet is positioned on the main extension, at an end part facing a limit body that restricts the movement of the main extension within the internal space at a point in the direction of the first axis.

[0024] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the second strut comprises at least one hollow body with an opening that allows the connection of electronic elements into it.

[0025] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the main extension comprises at least one cap having a wider cross-sectional area than the main extension at one end.

[0026] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it comprises a plurality of magnets.

[0027] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized by comprising a plurality of magnets and a plurality of ferromagnetic elements positioned symmetrically around the first axis passing through the center of the separator. Thus, an equal distribution of the magnetic force is ensured.

[0028] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[0029] In Figure 1 , a representative isometric view of said separator is given with the first strut and the second strut separated from each other.

[0030] In Figure 2, a representative side view of the separator which is the subject of the invention is given with the first strut placed inside the second strut.

[0031] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0032] In this detailed explanation, the subject of invention is explained only with examples that will not create any limiting effect for a better understanding of the subject.

[0033] In Figure 1 , a representative isometric structure of the separator (10) of the present invention is given. The said separator (10) is configured for decorative purposes, to separate the interior partitions of the building from each other and to at least partially prevent the view between the two partitions.

[0034] Accordingly, the separator (10) is essentially a longitudinally structured element along the first axis (I).

[0035] The first axis (I) passes through the center of the separator (10). The separator (10) comprises at least one first strut (20) and at least one second strut (30), both of which extend in the direction of the first axis (I). At least one of the said first strut (20) and the said second strut (30) has freedom of movement relative to the other, in the direction of the first axis (I). In the separator (10) which is the subject of the invention, the first strut (20) and the second strut (30) are intertwined, as shown in the figures, and thus the separator (10) can be extended and shortened telescopically.

[0036] In this way, the length of the separator (10) which is the subject of the invention can be adjusted by the user to meet different height needs.

[0037] The first strut (20) comprises at least one main extension (21 ) and at least one cap (22) part. Said main extension (21 ) is the part of the first strut (20) that enters the internal space (31 ) of the second strut (30). The internal space (31 ) is a blind hole provided on the body of the second strut (30). Accordingly, there is a limit body (60) at the non-open end of the internal space (31 ). The limit body (60) prevents the first strut (20) from falling completely into the second strut (30).

[0038] In other words, the limit body (60) limits the distance that the first strut (20) can move within the second strut (30). The first strut (20) leans against the limit body (60) after a certain length. Said head (22) has a wider cross-section than the strut and provides a contact surface area for the first strut (20) to lean against a surface inside the building.

[0039] The second strut (30) comprises at least one hollow body (70) in a neighbourhood of the limit body (60). Said hollow body (70) comprises an opening that will allow various elements to be connected inside. In this way, a space is provided within the hollow body (70) for possible electronic elements (circuits for lighting, batteries, elements for automatic on-off mechanisms, etc.) that can be connected to the separator (10).

[0040] One of the main extension (21 ) and the internal space (31 ) comprises at least one magnet (40), the other comprises at least one ferromagnetic element (50). In the preferred embodiment, the magnet (40) is positioned in the main extension (21 ) and the ferromagnetic element (50) is positioned in the internal space (31 ).

[0041] The magnet (40) and the ferromagnetic element (50) are positioned so that they are aligned at least at one point in the movement of the main extension (21 ) in the direction of the first axis (I) within the internal space (31 ).

[0042] Accordingly, the magnet (40) and the ferromagnetic element (50) interact when they are aligned on the first axis (I) and stop the movement of the first strut (20) and the second strut (30) relative to each other on the first axis (I).

[0043] In the preferred embodiment, the ferromagnetic element (50) extends throughout the entire internal space (31 ).

[0044] The magnet (40) is positioned at an end part (21 1 ) of the main extension (21 ) facing the blind end of the internal space (31 ).

[0045] With this structure, as soon as the main extension (21 ) enters the internal space (31 ), the magnet (40) and the ferromagnetic element (50) interact and remain in interaction throughout the entire body until the limit body (60).

[0046] Thus, it is possible to adjust the length of the separator (10) in a wide range. In the preferred embodiment, there is a plurality of magnets (40) to increase the attraction force and ensure better fixation.

[0047] In a possible embodiment, the magnets (40) are arranged symmetrically around the first axis (I), and in turn, there is a plurality of ferromagnetic elements (50) arranged symmetrically around the first axis (I).

[0048] According to all these explanations, the separator (10) which is the subject of the invention presents a structure whose size can be adjusted to meet different needs in buildings. The separator (10) remains fixed at the desired length thanks to the magnetic attraction of the magnet (40) and the ferromagnetic element (50). Accordingly, in order to change the length of the separator (10), it is sufficient for the user to apply a force on the first axis (I) to one of the first strut (20) and the second strut (30) in a way that overcomes the gravitational force between the magnet (40) and the ferromagnetic element (50).

[0049] The magnetic structure (40) allows the separator (10) of any geometric shape to be produced in an easily adjustable size. There is no need for any additional fasteners for fixing. In the figures, a separator (10) with a square cross-section is shown, but the magnetic structure (40) can also be adapted to different polygonal cross-sections such as triangles, pentagons or different cross-sections such as circular cross-sections.

[0050] The scope of protection of the invention is stated in the attached claims and cannot be limited to what is explained in this detailed description for the purpose of example. Because it is clear that a person skilled in the art can produce similar structures in the light of the above-mentioned without deviating from the main scope of the invention.
