Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] Rail Groove Brush

[0003] TECHNICAL FIELD

[0004] The invention relates to a rail groove brush which removes leaves, dust, soil, and similar substances falling into and accumulating in the rail groove in areas where railway vehicles and tram lines pass, thereby improving driving comfort.

[0005] The invention is designed in conformity with the rail profile and, thanks to its specially designed brush, ensures safe driving on the rail and provides ease of use for the user.

[0006] PRIOR ART

[0007] Tram, which is a railway vehicle generally used for human transportation within residential areas, is a means of public transportation that moves on rails laid on the road surface with wheels suitable for tram operation. There are rails on which the tram wheels roll and move. The rails consist of three parts: The head, the web and the base.

[0008] Today, in certain areas where the tram line passes, debris such as leaves and fruits falling from trees onto the rail head, or waste carried by the wind, causes contamination. Dust, soil, and similar substances accumulating over time in the rail groove affect the driving comfort of the tram vehicle. If the rails are not cleaned in a timely manner, the accumulated waste may cause problems in the train’s movement on the rails.

[0009] Cleaning operations on tram lines have attempted to be carried out with the help of sweeping equipment, but sufficient results have not been achieved. It has been observed that manual sweeping performed by cleaning staff is insufficient for cleaning the rail groove due to the limited reach of the brush tip, and sufficient results have not been achieved in cleaned areas. This leads to an increase in workforce demand and results in time loss. As a result, the problems mentioned above and those unsolved in light of the prior art have made it necessary to introduce an innovation in the relevant technical field.

[0010] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0011] The present invention has been developed in order to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned above and to bring new advantages to the relevant technical field, namely a rail groove brush.

[0012] The primary objective of the invention is to ensure safe driving on the rail surface thanks to the special design of the brush.

[0013] Another objective of the invention is to facilitate cleaning by field staff and to prevent time loss, thereby reducing labor costs.

[0014] Another objective of the invention is that the brush design is made in conformity with the rail profile by taking into account the dimensions of the rail groove and rail head surface parts.

[0015] Another objective of the invention is the use of a steel wire type which prevents deformation on the rail surface while also not damaging the rail head and groove surfaces.

[0016] Another objective of the invention is to ensure cleaning of all groove surfaces thanks to the presence of three wire lengths of different sizes.

[0017] Another objective of the invention is that the brush is light and small, providing ease of use.

[0026] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0027] In this detailed description, the rail groove brush, which is the subject matter of the invention, is explained with examples that will not have any limiting effect, solely for a better understanding of the subject.

[0028] The brush (10), which is the subject of the invention, consists of a wire length 1 (1 ) cleaning the outer surface of the rail groove, a wire length 2 (2) cleaning the inside of the rail groove, and a wire length 3 (3) cleaning the rail head, thereby ensuring the removal of waste on the inner and outer surfaces. The wire holder (4) holds together the wire length 1 (1 ), wire length 2 (2) and wire length 3 (3), thereby preventing the scattering of the wire portion of the brush (10).

[0029] The wire holder (4) contains the shortest wires on the wire length 3 (3) compared to the wire length 1 (1 ) and the wire length 2 (2). The wire length 2 (2) is located between the wire length 1 (1 ) and the wire length 3 (3) and contains the longest wires. The wire length (11 ), the wire length 2 (2), and the wire length 3 (3) have different lengths. The wires are made of steel.

[0030] The wire lengths (1 , 2, 3), joined together by the wire holder (4), allow the brush (10) to be easily used by the user by attaching the brush handle (5) to any rod.
