[0003] The present invention relates to a device to operate a floating lid of a container, or tank, for housing a liquid.

[0005] Containers, or tanks, for housing wine or the like are known, that have corresponding floating lids provided with corresponding means for a peripheral sealing of the same floating lid against the inner perimetral surface of the container, or tank, which sealing means are in the form of inflatable and deflatable means by the action of a corresponding pressurized fluid, preferably in the form of a gas or air, and which said inflatable and deflatable means are in the form of a corresponding elastic tubular body.

[0006] In said already-known containers, a device is used to deflate said inflatable and deflatable means, i.e. , of said elastic tubular body, defining said means for a peripheral sealing of said floating lid, and which comprises a simple valve that is left open to promote the outflow of said pressurized fluid from said elastic tubular body.

[0007] However, in this manner, the deflating activity of said inflatable and deflatable means, i.e., of said elastic tubular body, is, for example, not very efficient. [0009] A further issue felt in the art is when the wine volume increases, in particular due to a temperature rise. In fact, this drawback is indirectly handled by the vent valve that is provided on the lid to vent the gas, in particular carbon dioxide, which is a residue of winemaking process, which vent valve in these cases outputs a corresponding amount of wine, which wine thus comes in contact with ambient air and degrades, thus becoming a pollutant to the same wine, as well as to the environment, with corresponding undesirable consequences for the producing companies.
