AI Technical Summary
Existing pipe repair clamps, particularly those using wafer-type gaskets, struggle to maintain high sealing efficiency under pressure due to limited structural adaptations, leading to potential water or gas leakage.
The introduction of protrusions with angled edges and V-shaped recesses on the gasket surface that expand and change form under pressure, enhancing sealing by pressing against the pipe's outer surface.
This design achieves a high degree of sealing by applying double-acting compression, ensuring minimal leakage even under pressure changes, thus improving the durability and effectiveness of pipe repairs.

Description
[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] SEALING GASKET IN REPAIR CLAMPS
[0003] Technical Field
[0004] The invention relates to pipes used in city network lines and repair clamp gaskets for repairing these pipes in case of leakage.
[0005] The invention relates to repair clamp gaskets that are highly sealed by formal modifications to the a forementioned repair clamp gaskets.
[0006] Prior Art
[0007] As it is known, pipes are used to transport water in city network transmission lines. Repair clamps are used when pipes laid in city network lines in case of leakage in certain areas.
[0008] Pipe repair clamps offer a practical solution that can be used in a wide range of applications, from industrial plants to domestic applications. Due to these products, leaks in pipelines can be repaired quickly, thus preventing loss of water or gas.
[0009] The most important factor ensuring tightness in pipe repair clamps is the gasket factor. Gaskets are of high importance in this sense. The material quality of the gasket, its formal surfaces and the formal differences it takes under pressure significantly affect the quality and functionality of the repair clamps.
[0010] Pipe repair clamps are designed for different needs by equipping them with various rubber materials. These rubbers are used for sealing and to increase durability in pipe repairs.
[0011] The different shapes and structures of gaskets used in the present technique are designed to provide a better fit with the pipe surfaces. For example, waffle-shaped rubber gaskets offer a perfectly round sealing surface. Gaskets known as wafer style in the markets are widely used gaskets.
[0012] Description of Invention
[0013] The purpose of the invention is to provide a different technique that brings a new opening in this field, different from the structures used in the existing technique. The most important purpose of the invention is to provide a structure that changes its form against pressure and provides sealing with the formal differences created on the gasket surface.
[0014] Another purpose of the invention is to provide a structure comprising different forms compared to the wafer type gaskets used in the present art.
[0015] Another purpose of the invention is to provide a structure with a high strength effect that does not allow water to escape with surfaces that change form against the pressure of water compared to the wafer type gaskets used in the current technique.
[0016] To fulfill the purposes described above, it comprises the following;
[0017] - protrusions (102) having angled edges (103) raised from the bottom surface (1011 ) of the main layer (101 ) to the top surface (105) of the main layer (101 ) to press against the outer surface (201 ) of said pipe (200) to ensure a high degree of sealing,
[0018] - recesses (106) having V-shaped surfaces (104), of the elevations extending on the X and Y axis to ensure sealing by surface expansion by pressing towards the outer surface (201 ) of the said pipe (200).

[0039] Detailed Description of the Invention
[0040] Figures 1 and 1.1 illustrate the general appearance of the square gaskets used in the prior art.
[0041] Figures 2 and 2.1 illustrate the repair clamp gasket (100) with V-shaped protrusions (102) structured on the main layer (101 ).
[0042] Figure-3 illustrates the cross-sectional view of the gasket (100) configured between the repair clamp and the pipe (200). In this cross-sectional view, with the pressure of water, water presses towards the angled comers indicated by the arrows. The protrusions (102) apply a spreading movement by pressing on the outer surface (201 ) of the pipe (200) with this pressure. This movement contributes to a high degree of tightness in this area. In particular, the presence of V-shaped surfaces (104) provides a wide surface spread on the outer surface (201 ) of the pipe (200). As can be seen in Figure-3, a double-acting compression and sealing effect occurs as water fills and presses on the angled surfaces. This double effect creates a high sealing effect by compressing the gasket (100) both in the h direction and in the hi direction with the arrows shown in the h and hi directions.
[0043] In Figure-3.1 , with the pressure of water on the angled edges (103), a form change occurs on the angled surfaces of the gasket (100). The pressure of water contributes to the sealing at the same time as the change in form.
[0044] In terms of the novelty of the said invention; a gasket (100) configured between the repair clamp and the pipe (200) is disclosed. The said main layer (101 ) comprises protrusions (102) with angled edges (103) raised from the bottom surface (1011 ) to the top surface (105) of the said main layer (101 ) and recesses (106) with V-shaped surfaces (104) of the said X and Y axis elevations.
[0045] They include rectangular recesses (107) and square-shaped recesses (108) with V- shaped surfaces (104) on the X and Y axis, and large square cavities (109) with angled edges (103) configured so that the surfaces facing each other are less than 90 degree angles.
[0046] The said protrusion (102) is monolithic with the main layer (101 ). An angled edge (103) is formed between the top surface (105) of the main layer (101 ) of the edge surfaces of the protrusion (102). By means of these angled edges (103), the pressurized water in the repair clamp creates pressure in these comers and contributes to the sealing to a high extent.
[0047] Both the V-shaped surfaces (104) and the angled edges (103) are subjected to a change in form by opening (expanding) with the pressure exerted by the water from the inside. This change in form under the influence of pressure contributes highly to the tightness of the clamp.
