Description

COMPOSITION FOR DYEING KERATIN FIBERSTECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a composition. In particular, the present invention relates to a composition for dyeing keratin fibers. The present invention also relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibers.BACKGROUND ART

[0002] Hair dyeing products were developed to change the appearance of the hair. Conventionally, there are certain problems caused by oxidative hair coloration or hair bleach due to damage to the hair fiber from strong alkaline and strong oxidation, for example, quick color fading, and static effect.

[0003] Conventionally, these kinds of problems were solved by the application of some pre-treatment and post treatment, for example, hair pre-treatment essence, high conditioning shampoo, hair conditioner, hair mask and hair oil, etc. However, pre-treatment and post treatment are added steps for hair coloring or hair bleaching and will be time-consuming for consumers.

[0004] Thus, a more efficient solution is needed to solve these issues caused by oxidative hair coloration or bleaching.

[0005] Some hair dyeing products can color the hair strongly. However, the color evenness is not ideal. It is also desired that the hair is dyed evenly.

[0006] Therefore, there is a need to develop hair dyeing products, which can protect the hair from damage by providing hydration and / or anti-static effect, and / or provide more color evenness and / or resist color fading.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] An object of the present invention is to develop compositions for dyeing keratin materials, which can protect the hair from damage by providing hydration and / or anti-static effect, and / or provide more color evenness and / or resist color fading.

[0008] Thus, according to a first aspect, the present invention provides a composition, preferably for dyeing keratin fibers comprising:

[0009] (i) at least one chelating agent;

[0010] (ii) at least one compound with a molecular weight less than 1000 kDa selected from hyaluronic acid, its derivatives, and combinations thereof;

[0011] (iii) at least one oxidative dye; and

[0012] (iv) at least one alkaline agent.

[0013] The inventors have found that the composition according to the present invention can protect the hair from damage by providing hydration and / or anti-static effect, and / or provide more color evenness and / or resist color fading.

[0014] According to a second aspect, the present invention provides a process for dyeing keratin fibers comprising applying the composition according to the present invention onto the keratin fibers.

[0015] Other subjects and characteristics, aspects and advantages of the present invention will be set forth in the description that follows, and in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the present invention.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0172] 1) coloring Type Ⅰ and Type Ⅱ hair swatches with the dark color shade (compositions of invention examples 1-2 and comparative example 1) on a hot plate (32℃, 35 minutes) ;

[0173] similarly, coloring Type Ⅰ and Type Ⅲ hair swatches with the light color shade (compositions of invention examples 3-4 and comparative example 2) on a hot plate (32℃, 35 minutes) ;

[0174] 2) cooling the hair swatches to room temperature;

[0175] 3) measuring color using a colorshot device to obtain L1*, a1*and b1*values for TypeⅠhair swatches colored with the dark color shade composition, and L2*, a2*and b2*values for Type Ⅱ hair swatches colored with the dark color shade composition;

[0176] similarly, measuring color using a colorshot device to obtain L1*, a1*and b1*values for Type Ⅰ hair swatches colored with the light color shade composition, and L2*, a2*and b2*values for Type Ⅲ hair swatches colored with the light color shade composition;

[0177] 5) calculating color difference according to the following equation:

[0178] - ΔE3 represents color difference between Type Ⅰ and Type Ⅱ hair swatches colored with the dark color shade composition;

[0179] - ΔE4 represents color difference between Type Ⅰ and Type Ⅲ hair swatches colored with the light color shade composition.

[0180] Smaller ΔE means less color difference and more color evenness.

[0181] Hydration effect

[0182] 1) coloring Type Ⅳ hair swatches with each composition of invention examples 3-4 and comparative examples 2, respectively.

[0183] 2) drying with a hairdryer, hanging the hair swatches on a stand for sensory evaluation by a trained expert in terms of hydration feeling and anti-static conditions.

[0184] 3)touching the hair swatches through from root to tip with dry fingers with the same force in a quick motion. After repeating for 5 times, the hydration feeling and anti-static effect were observed.

[0185] The scores were given according to the following standard:

[0186] 5: very hydrated feeling, with strong anti-static effect;

[0187] 4: obvious hydrated feeling, with obvious anti-static effect;

[0188] 3: somewhat hydrated feeling, somewhat anti-static effect;

[0189] 2: very few hydrated feeling, very few anti-static effect;

[0190] 1: minimal hydrated feeling, with minimal anti-static effect.

[0191] A higher score means a more hydrated and less static effect.

[0192] The results on color fading resistance, color evenness and hydration / anti-static effect were summarized in Tables 4-5.

[0193] Table 4

[0194] It can be seen from Table 4 that as compared with composition of comparative example 1, compositions of invention examples 1-2 can bring better color lastingness (i.e., color fading resistance) and color evenness.

[0195] Table 5

[0196] It can be seen from Table 5 that as compared with composition of comparative example 2, compositions of invention examples 3-4 can bring better color lastingness (i.e., color fading resistance) and color evenness as well as hydration / anti-static effect.
