[Problem] To enable a thermoplastic elastomer composition giving molded articles with excellent appearances and having improved processability during extrusion molding to be widely utilized in low-hardness applications. [Solution] The thermoplastic elastomer composition is characterized by having a Shore A hardness of 50 or less and having a compression set (CS) [%] measured in accordance with JIS K6262, a maximum melt tension [mN] which is the tension of a melt-strand filament at break when the thermoplastic elastomer composition in a molten state is extruded through a nozzle and the filament being consecutively solidified is continuously taken up, and a maximum take-up speed [m / min] which is the filament take-up speed [m / min] at the time when the maximum melt tension [mN] was measured, the compression set, the maximum melt tension, and the maximum take-up speed satisfying expression (Z).
