Description

Reel Sheet and Fishing Rod

[0001] This cross - reference application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2024 - 206798 (filed on November 27, 2024), the content of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. The present invention relates to a reel sheet and a fishing rod.

[0002] Conventionally, a reel sheet to which an attached member such as a screw member is attached is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In the reel sheet of Patent Document 1, a screw member is fixed by an adhesive via a connecting pipe at the end of the reel sheet body. On the other hand, a reel sheet in which a plurality of tubular bodies constituting the reel sheet body are connected in the axial direction is also known (see, for example, Patent Document 2). In the reel sheet of Patent Document 2, the tubular bodies are fixed to each other by an adhesive. The tubular body is fixed to the rod body via a bush arranged inside.

[0003] Japanese Patent No. 6180818 Japanese Patent No. 6883884

[0004] Generally, since the reel sheet is a part where an external force is input through a reel or a rod body, there is a problem that when there is a connection part between members, a gap is likely to occur at the connection part. In the reel sheets of Patent Documents 1 and 2, the adhesion surfaces or adhesion parts between members are fixed by an adhesive. However, for example, when a gap is formed in the adhesion surface or adhesion part due to aging or the like, water may enter the inside of the reel sheet through the gap.

[0005] [[ID=IS]]The present invention was created to solve the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a reel sheet and a fishing rod that can preferably prevent water from entering the inside of the reel sheet.

[0006] To solve the aforementioned problems, the reel seat of the present invention comprises a reel seat base material having a gripping portion and a reel leg mounting portion on which the mounting legs of the reel are placed, a fitting adhesive portion provided at the end of the reel seat base material, and a member to be attached that is inserted into the fitting adhesive portion and bonded with an adhesive. A spacer is arranged inside the member to be attached. To the side of the tip of the member to be attached in the insertion direction, an inflow space is formed through which the adhesive flows when the member to be attached is bonded to the fitting adhesive portion. The inflow space is partitioned by the inner surface of the reel seat base material, the tip surface of the member to be attached, and the outer peripheral surface of the tip of the spacer.

[0007] In this invention, when the member to be attached is inserted into the mating adhesive portion during bonding, a portion of the adhesive applied to the adhesive surface is squeezed by the member to be attached and pushed in the insertion direction, flowing into the inflow space on the side of the tip. As a result, both the adhesive area between the mating adhesive portion and the member to be attached, and the adhesive area of the inflow space continuous therewith, are suitably sealed with adhesive. This effectively prevents water from entering the inside of the reel seat.

[0008] To solve the aforementioned problems, the reel seat of the present invention comprises a reel seat base material having a gripping portion and a reel leg mounting portion on which the mounting legs of the reel are placed, a fitting adhesive portion provided at the end of the reel seat base material, and a member to be attached that is inserted into the fitting adhesive portion and bonded with an adhesive. To the side of the tip of the member to be attached in the insertion direction, an inflow space is formed through which the adhesive flows when the member to be attached is bonded to the fitting adhesive portion. The inflow space is partitioned by the inner surface of the reel seat base material and the outer surface of the member to be attached.

[0009] In this invention, when the member to be attached is inserted into the mating adhesive portion during bonding, a portion of the adhesive applied to the adhesive surface is pushed in the insertion direction by the member to be attached and flows into the inflow space on the side of the tip of the member to be attached. As a result, both the adhesive surface between the mating adhesive portion and the member to be attached, and the inflow space continuous therewith, are suitably sealed with adhesive. This effectively prevents water from entering the inside of the reel seat.

[0010] Furthermore, the reel seat base material is preferably hollow and cylindrical. This configuration allows for easy formation of an inflow space between the inner surface of the reel seat base material and the surrounding material.

[0011] Furthermore, it is preferable that the reel seat base material has an enlarged diameter portion that is continuous with the fitting adhesive portion and has a diameter larger than the inner diameter of the fitting adhesive portion. In this configuration, the enlarged diameter portion continuous with the fitting adhesive portion makes it easy to secure an inflow space to the side of the tip of the member to be attached in the insertion direction.

[0012] Furthermore, it is preferable that the inner circumferential surface of the fitting and bonding portion has the same inner diameter along the axial direction. In this configuration, since the inner circumferential surface of the fitting and bonding portion has a straight shape with the same inner diameter, it is easy to control the volume of adhesive pushed in the insertion direction. Therefore, by adjusting the amount of adhesive applied, the amount of adhesive flowing into the inflow space can be set to the desired amount. Thus, the waterproofing quality can be stabilized.

[0013] Furthermore, it is preferable that the tip of the spacer in the insertion direction protrudes axially inward from the fitting and bonding portion. In this configuration, an inflow space can be reliably formed to the side of the tip of the insertion portion. In addition, the size (capacity) of the inflow space can be suitably set by adjusting the amount of protrusion of the tip.

[0014] Furthermore, it is preferable that the tip of the member to be mounted, in the insertion direction, protrudes axially inward from the fitting and bonding portion. In this configuration, an inflow space can be reliably formed to the side of the tip of the member to be mounted. In addition, the size (capacity) of the inflow space can be suitably set by adjusting the amount of protrusion of the tip.

[0015] To solve the aforementioned problems, the fishing rod of the present invention is equipped with the reel seat. The present invention provides a fishing rod that can effectively prevent water from entering the inside of the reel seat.

[0016] According to the reel seat and fishing rod of the present invention, it is possible to effectively prevent water from entering the inside of the reel seat.

[0017] This is a perspective view showing a fishing rod to which a reel seat according to the first embodiment of the present invention is applied. This is a side view showing a reel seat according to the embodiment. This is a cross-sectional view of the same reel seat. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing the fitting adhesive portion and the screw member. This is a schematic enlarged cross-sectional view showing the state of the adhesive interposed between the reel seat base material of a reel seat according to the second embodiment of the present invention. This is a schematic enlarged cross-sectional view showing a modified example of the screw member. This is a schematic enlarged cross-sectional view showing the state of the adhesive interposed between the reel seat base material and the screw member of a reel seat according to the third embodiment of the present invention.

[0018] The reel seat and fishing rod according to the embodiment will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. In the following description, when referring to "front and back," "left and right," and "up and down," the directions shown in Figure 1 will be used as the reference. The reel seat and fishing rod according to the embodiment are examples for use with a spinning reel for fishing (hereinafter simply referred to as "reel"), but this is not intended to limit the form of the reel. In addition, in the description of the drawings, the same elements are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant explanations will be omitted as appropriate.

[0019] As shown in Figure 1, the reel seat 1 of this embodiment is a member for fixing a reel (not shown) to a fishing rod R, and the mounting legs of the reel (not shown, the same applies hereinafter) are attached to it. The fishing rod R is equipped with a cylindrical rod body R1, a rear grip G, etc. The rod body R1 is constructed by connecting a middle section, a tip section, etc., although not shown. The rod body R1 can be joined by a telescopic method, a parallel joint method, a reverse parallel joint method, a spigot method, or any other known joint method. The rod body R1 may be composed of a single rod body. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the reel seat 1 is equipped with a reel seat base material 10, a screw member 20 (see Figures 3 to 5), and a movable hood 30 (see Figures 2 and 3).

[0020] The reel seat base material 10 is the part that is gripped by the angler's fingers, and as shown in Figure 3, it is formed in a hollow cylindrical shape. The entire reel seat base material 10 is formed from a prepreg sheet in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with synthetic resin.

[0021] A prepreg sheet is a fiber-reinforced resin prepreg in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with a resin such as a matrix resin. Examples of reinforcing fibers that can be included in the prepreg sheet include carbon fibers, glass fibers, and any other known reinforcing fibers. Examples of resins that can be included in the prepreg sheet include thermosetting resins such as epoxy resins and thermoplastic resins such as PET. Examples of thermosetting resins include urea resin, melamine resin, phenolic resin, epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resin, and urethane resin.

[0022] The reel seat base material 10 comprises a gripping portion 11 forming the outer shell, a reel leg mounting portion 12 on which the reel's mounting legs are placed, a fixing hood 13 which serves as a hood into which the front end of the reel's mounting legs are inserted and fixed, and front and rear fitting adhesive portions 14 and 15. As shown in Figure 3, the rod body R1 is inserted through the hollow portion inside the reel seat base material 10. The front spacer 41 is bonded to the front fitting adhesive portion 14 with adhesive. The screw member 20 is bonded to the rear fitting adhesive portion 15 with adhesive. The rear spacer 42 is bonded to the inside of the screw member 20 with adhesive. The reel seat base material 10 is bonded and fixed to the rod body R1 via the front and rear spacers 41 and 42. The screw member 20 and the spacers 41 and 42 are made of a material such as synthetic resin.

[0023] As shown in Figure 3, the gripping portion 11 has a bulging portion 11a that curves upward. The bulging portion 11a bulges radially away from the side where the reel leg mounting portion 12 is formed. As a result, the volume in the upper region of the hollow portion of the reel seat base material 10 is larger than the volume in the lower region, with the rod body R1 as the boundary. The reel leg mounting portion 12 extends in the front-rear direction and has a flat surface in cross-section (see Figures 2 and 3) on which at least a part of the mounting legs of the reel are placed.

[0024] As shown in Figure 3, the fixing hood 13 has a concave shape, and the opening 13a into which the front end of the reel mounting leg is inserted opens towards the rear. The fixing hood 13 is integrally formed with the reel seat base material 10 from a prepreg sheet. The fixing hood 13 is formed to be thicker than other parts of the reel seat base material 10, such as the gripping portion 11, the reel leg mounting portion 12, and the fitting adhesive portions 14 and 15.

[0025] The front and rear fitting and bonding portions 14 and 15 are formed at both axial ends of the reel seat base material 10 and have a cylindrical shape. The fitting and bonding portions 14 and 15 are the parts to which the spacer 41 and screw member 20, which are to be attached, are fitted and bonded, and are integrally formed with the reel seat base material 10 by a prepreg sheet. The fitting and bonding portions 14 and 15 are formed to be thicker than other parts of the reel seat base material 10, such as the gripping portion 11 and the reel leg mounting portion 12.

[0026] As shown in Figure 3, the rod body R1 is fitted and bonded to the front fitting and bonding portion 14 via the front spacer 41. Alternatively, the rod body R1 may be directly bonded to the front fitting and bonding portion 14. The inner circumferential surface of the fitting and bonding portion 14 is formed to have the same inner diameter along the axial direction. The tip of the spacer 41 is covered by a cover member 43.

[0027] A screw member 20 is fitted and bonded to the rear fitting and bonding portion 15. The inner circumferential surface of the fitting and bonding portion 15 is formed to have the same inner diameter along the axial direction. The inner circumferential surface of the fitting and bonding portion 15 is formed to have a larger diameter than the inner circumferential surface of the front fitting and bonding portion 14. As shown in Figure 5, the front end of the fitting and bonding portion 15 is continuous with the enlarged diameter portion 11a1 at the rear end of the gripping portion 11. The inner diameter of the enlarged diameter portion 11a1 is larger than the inner diameter of the fitting and bonding portion 15. The enlarged diameter portion 11a1 has a gently curved cross-section.

[0028] The screw member 20 has a cylindrical shape that extends in the axial direction. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the screw member 20 has an insertion portion 21 that is fitted and bonded to the fitting adhesive portion 15, a non-threaded portion 22 that is continuous with the rear of the insertion portion 21, and a threaded portion 23 that is continuous with the rear of the non-threaded portion 22. The insertion portion 21 is the part that is bonded to the inner circumferential surface of the fitting adhesive portion 15 via adhesive. The insertion portion 21 has an outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the inner circumferential surface of the fitting adhesive portion 15 and a length corresponding to the axial length of the fitting adhesive portion 15. A small gap is formed between the outer circumferential surface of the insertion portion 21 and the inner circumferential surface of the fitting adhesive portion 15, in which the adhesive S is interposed (see Figure 5). As shown in Figure 4, the non-threaded portion 22 has a larger diameter than the insertion portion 21 and forms a stepped portion 22a between itself and the outer circumferential surface of the insertion portion 21. A ring member 22b is arranged in this stepped portion 22a. The threaded portion 23 is the part into which the movable hood 30 (see Figure 3) is screwed, and has a male threaded portion 23a on its outer surface. A cap 24 is fitted to the rear end of the threaded portion 23 to prevent adhesive S from flowing into the spacer 42 during assembly.

[0029] As shown in Figures 3 and 5, the rod body R1 is fitted and bonded to the screw member 20 via a spacer 42. The front end (tip) 42a of the spacer 42 protrudes forward from the tip 21a of the insertion portion 21. It is preferable to set the amount of protrusion of the front end 42a to be, for example, 3.0 mm or more forward from the tip 21a of the insertion portion 21. This creates a concave inlet space 45 on the front side (lateral) of the tip 21a of the insertion portion 21. Note that setting the amount of protrusion of the front end 42a to be larger than necessary will lead to an increase in the weight of the reel seat 1, so it is preferable to set it appropriately considering the amount of adhesive S flowing into the inlet space 45.

[0030] As shown in Figure 5, the inflow space 45 is an annular space partitioned by the inner circumferential surface (inner surface) 11b of the enlarged diameter portion 11a1 (reel seat base material 10), the tip surface 21b of the screw member 20, and the tip outer circumferential surface 42b of the spacer 42. Adhesive S flows into the inflow space 45 when the screw member 20 (insertion portion 21) is inserted into the fitting adhesive portion 15 and is squeezed and pushed forward by the insertion portion 21.

[0031] The movable hood 30 is a component that is screwed onto the threaded portion 23 of the screw member 20, and is provided to be movable in the axial direction in order to clamp the mounting leg portion of the reel. The movable hood 30 includes a rear end mounting portion (not shown) on which the rear end portion of the mounting leg portion of the reel is placed.

[0032] Next, the procedure for assembling the screw member 20 to the reel seat base material 10 will be described. First, as shown in Figure 4, a spacer 42 is attached to the inside of the screw member 20 to create the screw member assembly 20K. In this case, adhesive S (not shown in Figure 4) is applied to both the inner circumferential surface of the screw member 20 and the outer circumferential surface of the spacer 42, and the amount of protrusion of the front end 42a of the spacer 42 is adjusted while inserting the spacer 42 into the inside of the screw member 20 from the rear of the screw member 20. Then, the ring member 22b is attached to the stepped portion 22a of the non-threaded portion 22.

[0033] After the adhesive on the screw member assembly 20K has dried, adhesive S is applied to both the outer surface of the insertion part 21 and the inner surface of the fitting adhesive part 15. Then, the insertion part 21 is inserted into the fitting adhesive part 15 to assemble the screw member assembly 20K to the fitting adhesive part 15. At this time, when the insertion part 21 is inserted into the fitting adhesive part 15, a portion of the adhesive S applied to the inner surface of the fitting adhesive part 15 is squeezed by the tip surface 21b of the insertion part 21 and pushed in the insertion direction (forward direction), and flows into the inflow space 45 as shown in Figure 5.

[0034] The adhesive S that flows into the inflow space 45 covers at least a portion of the inner circumferential surface 11b of the enlarged diameter portion 11a1, then travels along the tip surface 21b of the insertion portion 21, covering it, and reaching the tip outer circumferential surface 42b of the spacer 42. Subsequently, as the adhesive S hardens, the screw member 20 is bonded and fixed to the reel seat base material 10 with the adhesive S sealing a portion of the bonding area P1 between the fitting bonding portion 5 and the insertion portion 21 and a portion of the bonding area P2 of the inflow space 45 that is continuous therewith (the portion necessary for sealing).

[0035] When inserting the rod body R1 into the reel seat base material 10 to which the screw member 20 is fixed, a spacer 41 is pre-bonded to the front fitting adhesive portion 14. Then, adhesive S is applied to the inner surfaces of the spacers 41 and 42 and the outer surface of the rod body R1, and the rod body R1 is inserted into the reel seat base material 10 to cure the adhesive S. In this way, a fishing rod R is manufactured in which the reel seat base material 10 and the screw member 20 are fixed to the rod body R1 via the spacers 41 and 42.

[0036] As described above, with respect to the reel seat 1 of this embodiment, when the insertion portion 21 of the screw member 20 is inserted into the fitting adhesive portion 15 during bonding, a portion of the adhesive S pushed in the insertion direction flows into the inflow space 45, so that the adhesive region P1 and the adhesive region P2 can be continuously sealed with adhesive S. In other words, it is possible to achieve a seal in which the adhesive S does not break across the adhesive region P1 and the adhesive region P2. This effectively prevents water from entering the inside of the reel seat 1.

[0037] Furthermore, the adhesive S pushed in the insertion direction by the insertion section 21 is contained within the inflow space 45, so it does not flow beyond the spacer 42 to the rod body R1 side. Therefore, it is possible to prevent abnormal noises that may occur if the adhesive S flows into the rod body R1 side, and problems such as snagging when inserting the rod body R1 into the reel seat base material 10.

[0038] Furthermore, since the reel seat base material 10 is hollow and cylindrical, an inflow space 45 can be easily formed between the inner surface of the reel seat base material 10 (the inner surface of the enlarged diameter portion 11a1) and the reel seat base material 10.

[0039] Furthermore, since the reel seat base material 10 has an enlarged diameter portion 11a1 that is continuous with the fitting adhesive portion 15, an inflow space 45 can be easily secured to the side of the tip portion 21a of the screw member 20. Also, since the enlarged diameter portion 11a1 expands in diameter towards the front, the radial length of the adhesive S (the radial length of the inflow space 45) can be increased accordingly. This further enhances waterproofness.

[0040] Furthermore, since the inner circumferential surface of the mating adhesive portion 15 has a straight shape with the same inner diameter, it is easy to control the volume of adhesive S pushed in the insertion direction by the insertion portion 21. Therefore, by adjusting the application amount, the amount of adhesive S flowing into the inflow space 45 can be set to the desired amount. Thus, the waterproofing quality can be stabilized.

[0041] Furthermore, since the front end portion 42a of the spacer 42 protrudes axially inward from the fitting adhesive portion 15, an inflow space 45 can be reliably formed on the front side (lateral) of the tip portion 21a of the insertion portion 21. In addition, the size (capacity) of the inflow space 45 can be suitably set by adjusting the amount of protrusion of the front end portion 42a of the spacer 42.

[0042] Furthermore, the fishing rod R of this embodiment can effectively prevent water from entering the inside of the reel seat 1.

[0043] (Second Embodiment) Next, the reel sheet of the second embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 6. FIG. 6 is an enlarged schematic cross-sectional view showing the state of the adhesive interposed between the reel sheet base material and the screw member according to the second embodiment. The difference between this embodiment and the first embodiment is that, as shown in FIG. 6, the tip portion 21a of the insertion portion 21 of the screw member 20A is located within the adhesion region P2, and the inflow space 45A is formed by the outer peripheral surface 240 of this tip portion 21a and the inner surface of the gripping portion 11 (the inner peripheral surface (inner surface) 11b of the enlarged diameter portion 11a).

[0044] The insertion portion 21 of the screw member 20A has a length extending across the adhesion region P1 and the adhesion region P2, and the outer peripheral surface 21c of the tip portion 21a is circumferentially opposed to the inner peripheral surface (inner surface) 11b of the enlarged diameter portion 11a. The front end portion 42a of the spacer 42 is arranged so as to be accommodated inside the radial direction of the tip portion 21a of the insertion portion 21 of the screw member 20A (so as not to protrude forward). The screw member 20A includes a bottom portion 25. A through hole 25a through which the rod body R1 is inserted is formed in the bottom portion 25. The through hole 25a may be configured to be adhered to the rod body R1 via the adhesive S, or may be configured to be arranged with a gap that does not contact the rod body R1. Such a bottom portion 25 has the same operational effects as the cap 24 (see FIG. 4) described in the first embodiment. Also, the bottom portion 25 facilitates the positioning of the spacer 42, and it is possible to reinforce the screw member 45 by adhering the rear end portion of the spacer 42 to the bottom portion 25 with the adhesive S.

[0045] The inflow space 45A is an annular space portion defined by the inner peripheral surface (inner surface) 11b of the enlarged diameter portion 11a (reel sheet base material 10) and the outer peripheral surface 21c of the tip portion 21a of the screw member 20. During the process of inserting the screw member 20 (insertion portion 21) into the fitting and adhesion portion 15, a part of the adhesive S squeezed by the insertion portion 21 and pushed forward flows into the inflow space 45A.

[0046] The adhesive S flowing into the inflow space 45A reaches the outer peripheral surface 21c of the tip portion 21a of the screw member 20A while covering at least a part of the inner peripheral surface 11b of the diameter-expanded portion 11a1. Then, as the adhesive S cures, the screw member 20 is adhesively fixed to the reel sheet base material 10 in a state where the adhesion region P1 between the fitting adhesion portion 5 and the insertion portion 21 and a part of the adhesion region P2 of the inflow space 45A continuous thereto (the portion necessary for sealing) are sealed with the adhesive S.

[0047] According to the present embodiment, the same operational effects as those of the above-described first embodiment can be obtained. That is, by inserting the insertion portion 21 of the screw member 20 into the fitting adhesion portion 15 during adhesion, a part of the adhesive S pushed in the insertion direction flows into the inflow space 45, so that the adhesion region P1 and a part of the adhesion region P2 (the portion necessary for sealing) can be continuously sealed with the adhesive S. Thereby, it is possible to suitably prevent water from entering the inside of the reel sheet 1.

[0048] In addition, since there is no need to set the protruding amount of the front end portion 42a of the spacer 42, assembly can be simplified accordingly. Further, since the diameter-expanded portion 11a1 expands in diameter toward the front, the radial length of the adhesive S (the radial length of the inflow space 45A) can be ensured to be large accordingly. Thereby, waterproofness can be further enhanced.

[0049] Further, since the tip portion 21a of the insertion portion 21 protrudes inward in the axial direction from the fitting adhesion portion 15, the inflow space 45A can be surely formed on the outer peripheral surface 21c of the tip portion 21a of the insertion portion 21. Further, by adjusting the protruding amount of the tip portion 21a of the insertion portion 21, the size (capacity) of the inflow space 45A can be suitably set.

[0050] FIG. 7 is a schematic enlarged cross-sectional view showing a modified example of the screw member in the second embodiment. In this modified example, a spacer 42 having a shorter axial length than that in the second embodiment is arranged. According to this modified example, in addition to the above-described main operational effects, the weight of the reel sheet 1 can be reduced by the amount corresponding to the shorter length of the spacer 42.

[0051] (Third Embodiment) Next, the reel seat of the third embodiment will be described with reference to Figure 8. Figure 8 is a schematic enlarged cross-sectional view showing the state of the adhesive interposed between the reel seat base material and the screw member of the reel seat according to the third embodiment. The difference between this embodiment and the second embodiment is that, as shown in Figure 8, the rod body R1 is directly inserted inside the screw member 20B, and the spacer 42 (see Figures 6 and 7, the same applies hereinafter) is eliminated. The other configurations are the same as those of the second embodiment and its modified form.

[0052] Compared to the screw members 20A and 20B of the second embodiment (see Figures 6 and 7), the screw member 20C is formed to be thicker overall and has an inner surface through which the rod body R1 is inserted.

[0053] According to this embodiment, the same effects and advantages as those of the first and second embodiments can be obtained. That is, by inserting the insertion portion 21 of the screw member 20 into the fitting adhesive portion 15 during bonding, a portion of the adhesive S pushed in the insertion direction flows into the inflow space 45C, so that a portion of the adhesive area P1 and adhesive area P2 (the portion necessary for sealing) can be continuously sealed with the adhesive S. This effectively prevents water from entering the inside of the reel seat 1.

[0054] Furthermore, since the rod body R1 is directly inserted inside the screw member 20B, the process of bonding the spacer 42 can be eliminated, reducing the number of parts and simplifying assembly. This results in cost reduction.

[0055] Although embodiments have been described above, the present invention is not limited to the examples shown in the embodiments. For example, in the above embodiments, screw members 20, 20A to 20C were exemplified as members to be attached, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the present invention may be applied to various forms of connecting members such as connecting members connected to the reel seat base material 10 or fixing members pre-fixed to the rod body R1.

[0056] Furthermore, although the reel seat base material 10 is shown as a hollow cylindrical shape, it is not limited to this, and may be solid as long as it forms inflow spaces 45, 45A to 45C. Also, the enlarged diameter portion 11a1 is not necessarily required.
