Abstract
The application relates to a method for producing at least a carbon product by a chemical reaction with a catalyst. The method comprises: arranging a reactant into contact with the catalyst, which is formed of Fe-based material, for performing a thermocatalytic decomposition reaction in a reactor, performing the reaction at a temperature of 550-1000 °C in the reactor to form the carbon product comprising at least graphitic carbon, wherein the graphitic carbon contains at least particles with a flake structure, and recovering at least the carbon product comprising the graphitic carbon.
