Abstract

A body cooling device having contents including a refrigerant and a carbon dioxide gas-releasing source sealed therein, the body cooling device being used in contact with skin so as to allow released carbon dioxide gas to permeate into the body, wherein a skin-contact surface region, which is a region including a surface to be brought into contact with the skin upon application, is provided with a control member, the control member being composed of a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer or silicone rubber, and including a carbon dioxide gas release amount control member that controls the amount of carbon dioxide gas released from the interior, and a temperature control member that controls the surface temperature of the surface to be brought into contact with the skin.
