Abstract

The present invention relates to a dishwasher (1) comprising a body (2); a washing tub (3) which is disposed in the body (2) and wherein the washing process is performed; a casing (4) which is provided under the washing tub (3); a door (5) which has a closed position where the door (5) enables the washing tub (3) to be isolated from the outside environment and the door (5) is positioned at a right angle with respect to the floor and an open position where the user can access the washing tub (3) and the door (5) is parallel to the floor; a decorative panel (6) which is mounted onto the front surface of the door (5); and a hinge (7) which enables the door (5) rotatably move between the closed position and the open position

[0004] In dishwashers, the washing process is performed in the washing tub. The washing tub is isolated from the outer environment by means of a door. In the dishwasher, the door is opened by rotating on the horizontal axis such that the lower edge thereof remains fixed on the body. The door is perpendicular to the floor of the environment in the closed position, and parallel to the floor of the environment in the fully open position. Today, the use of built-in dishwashers is known. The built-in dishwashers are placed in the kitchen furniture and decorative panels compatible with the kitchen furniture are attached onto the door. Thus, the dishwasher is completely hidden in the kitchen and an aesthetic appearance is provided. The decorative panels attached onto the door are selected by the user and mounted on the dishwasher by service staff. The fact that the door is movable between the open position and the closed position makes it difficult to mount the decorative panel. The decorative panels extending to the floor are preferred such that the dishwasher can be completely hidden. Thus, there remains no gap between the dishwasher and the kitchen floor, and a complete kitchen cabinet appearance is provided. However, when the door is moving from the closed position to the open position, the lower part of the long decorative panel hits the dishwasher body and prevents the door from opening. In particular, based on recent user feedback, dishwashers having larger washing tubs and door openings are being developed. Accordingly, the door length increases, and adjusting the dimensions of the decorative panels becomes more difficult.

[0005] In the state of the art European Patent Document No. EP4306752, a dishwasher is disclosed, comprising a decorative panel. By means of the sliding mechanism used during the mounting of the said panel, the length of the decorative panel can be adjusted.

[0007] The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a washing tub which is disposed in the body; a door which is disposed on the washing tub; a decorative panel which is disposed on the door; and a hinge by which the door moves by rotating. The door has a closed position where the washing tub is isolated from the outside environment and an open position where access is provided into the washing tub. In the closed position, the door is perpendicular to the floor, and in the open position, creates a plane parallel to the floor. The decorative panel is mounted on the door and moves together with the door.

Even in cases where the washing tub (3) is positioned close to the floor, a space is provided for receiving the lower edge of the decorative panel (6), which covers the door (5) nearly to the floor. CLAIMS1- A dishwasher (1) comprising a body (2); a washing tub (3) which is disposed in the body (2) and wherein the washing process is performed; a casing (4) which is provided under the washing tub (3); a door (5) which has a closed position where the door (5) enables the washing tub (3) to be isolated from the outside environment and the door (5) is positioned at a right angle with respect to the floor and an open position where the user can access the washing tub (3) and the door (5) is parallel to the floor; a decorative panel (6) which is mounted onto the front surface of the door (5); and a hinge (7) which enables the door (5) rotatably move between the closed position and the open position, characterized by a reference plane (8) which is provided on the casing (4) so as to be located as close and parallel as possible to the door (5) when the door (5) is in the closed position, wherein the perpendicular distance (A) between the reference plane (8) and the door (5) plane is greater than or equal to the perpendicular distance (B) between the hinge (7) and the floor in the horizontal plane.2- A dishwasher (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by a front balancing member (9) which is provided on the reference plane (8) and which ensures that the body (2) remains balanced.3- A dishwasher (1) as in Claim 2, characterized by the front balancing member (9) which is detachably attached to the reference plane (8).4- A dishwasher (1) as in Claim 2 or Claim 3, characterized by the front balancing member (9) comprising a cavity (10), over which the lower edge of the decorative panel (6) passes with at least some clearance while the door (5) moves between the open position and the closed position.5- A dishwasher (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the reference plane (8) against which the lower edge of the decorative panel (6) bears when the door (5) is in the open position.6- A dishwasher (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by a hinge support member (11) which connects the body (2) and the casing (4) and which7.3625supports the hinge (7), and the reference plane (8) whereon the hinge support member (11) is mounted.
