Abstract
This article is comprised of two layers; in the front view, the upper layer is a gel-like adhesive layer, and the lower layer is a base material. This article is used, for example, by applying it to the surface of metal, such as steel in a building (e.g., a bridge), as shown in Reference View 2, which shows the state of use. By applying the article to a metal surface on which rust or other corrosion has occurred, the progress of corrosion on the metal surface can be reduced. Since the gel-like adhesive layer of this article is thicker than the base material, this article can change shape to conform with level differences from the metal surface and minute projections and depressions and adhere tightly to the surface. Since the article is transparent, the progress of corrosion on the metal surface can be observed over time without peeling the article off. In addition to being colorless and transparent, this article may also be colored light red, light blue, etc. as long as it is transparent to the extent that the progress of corrosion can be observed over time. The article can be stored with release paper attached to the adhesive layer, or stored with the article rolled up, as shown in Reference View 1, which shows the state of use. The broken lines in the reproductions form no part of the claimed design. The dot-dash broken lines denote the boundary between the claimed portion and the unclaimed portion and form no part of the claimed design. This design is continuous to the left and right in the front view. The entire article is transparent. The size of the article is about 1 mm in thickness and 50 mm or more in vertical dimension in the top view. The reproductions 1.6 and 1.7 are reference views of the claimed design and form no part of the claimed design.
