A vibration-assisted low pressure casting method and apparatus

Abstract

This invention relates to the field of metal heat treatment technology, specifically disclosing a vibration-assisted low-pressure casting method and apparatus, comprising: a casting mold, a crucible, a riser pipe, a compressed air conveying structure, and an ultrasonic vibration auxiliary module. The casting mold is divided into a left mold and a right mold, which are fixedly connected. The crucible is connected to the riser pipe, and the riser pipe is connected to the gating system of the casting mold. The ultrasonic vibration auxiliary module includes a mold insert and a piezoelectric ceramic plate. The piezoelectric ceramic plate is disposed between the mold insert and the cavity surface of the casting mold, and is electrically connected to an ultrasonic generator. This invention's vibration-assisted low-pressure casting method and apparatus organically combine ultrasonic vibration technology with traditional low-pressure casting processes, fundamentally solving the problem of insufficient filling in complex structure castings and improving the density of the casting during solidification.
