Abstract
This invention discloses a reactive phosphorus-nitrogen synergistic ionic liquid flame retardant, its preparation method, and its application. The flame retardant has the general formula [A⁺]n[Bⁿ⁻], where [A⁺] is an imidazolium cation containing a polymerizable alkenyl group (such as vinyl), and [Bⁿ⁻] is a phosphorus-containing anion (such as phytate, n=6). The preparation method involves an ion exchange reaction with stoichiometric addition of materials. This flame retardant can be applied to unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins. Under the action of a free radical initiator, its alkenyl group can undergo copolymerization chemical bonding with the polymer, effectively solving the problems of easy migration and precipitation of traditional flame retardants. While imparting highly efficient phosphorus-nitrogen synergistic flame retardant properties (LOI > 30%, UL-94 V-0 rating) to the material, it maintains good mechanical properties and durability. This product is environmentally friendly and has broad application prospects.
