Abstract

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION This description relates to a packaging apparatus for packaging two or more boxes, such as boxes of facial tissues, to form a multipack. The packaging apparatus comprises a box supply device that supplies at least a first box and a second box, a wrapping material supply device that supplies wrapping material, an adhesive application device that applies adhesive in a bonding position on at least one of a first surface of the first box, a first surface of the second box, and one or more positions on a piece of wrapping material, and a wrapping device that at least partially wraps the piece of wrapping material around the first box and the second box and establishes contact between the piece of wrapping material and the first and second boxes, respectively.locating at least one gluing position at a point of contact between the first surface of the first box and the piece of wrapping material, between the first surface of the second box and the piece of wrapping material, or between a part of the piece of wrapping material and an overlapping part of the piece of wrapping material that is placed on the first surface of the first box or the first surface of the second box.
