COMPOSITE WOOD CONSTRUCTION METHOD

Abstract

A method for manufacturing a composite wood, comprising the steps of providing a reactive composite mixture (4) by mixing a reactive binder and plant fibers, feeding the reactive composite mixture to an extruder (5), discharging the composite mixture from the extruder via an extrusion discharge (6) into a curing mold (8), filling the pores of the plant fibers with the reactive binder while simultaneously exhausting air from the pores under extrusion process conditions, reacting the reactive binder around the plant fibers and in the pores of the plant fibers into a composite wood at the temperature of the extrusion process conditions.
