COMBINATION OF IBUPROFENE AND TRAMADOL FOR PAIN RELIEF

Abstract

The present invention relates to the combination of ibuprofen in the form of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and tramadol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for use in the treatment of pain in humans, wherein the dosage of ibuprofen in the combination is between 350 mg and 450 mg and the dosage of tramadol is between 35 mg and 40 mg, expressed as an equivalent weight of tramadol hydrochloride. The combination is suitable for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, of chronic or acute origin and is particularly effective for those patients suffering from more severe pain. It also relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising said fixed dose combination of ibuprofen and tramadol.
